- "Remember the teachings of the predatory felines of our world. Strike fast. Strike unpredictable. And don’t even let those filthy Ork’s fire a shot!"
- —Captain Demethor of the First Company giving a speech during the Delirium war shortly before the Day of Blood
The White Blades stand as a gleaming, silent watch along the eastern marches of the Imperium, their gene-seed drawn from the proud lineage of Guilliman yet tempered by the alien frontier. Born of the Ultima Founding, they were dispatched to the nebulous borders where the T'au Empire gnaws at Imperial dominion, a bulwark against both the lure of xenos philosophy and the ruinous forces beyond. Their Chapter is a testament to rigid adherence to the Codex Astartes, each battle-brother drilled to perfection in the doctrines of war, yet their demeanor bears the wary patience of hunters who stalk an ever-shifting prey across void and world alike.
In service to their relentless vigil, the White Blades have sanctioned adaptations rarely permitted by the Mechanicus. With the blessing of the Tech-Priests of Mars, their Mark X helms and reconnaissance arrays are fitted with paired auspex vanes, subtle in form yet reminiscent of the feline predators of their homeworld of Caelith Prime. These “ears,” fashioned of sanctified adamantine and sensorium crystal, allow their warriors to detect the faintest tremor of motion or distortion in the ether. Where other Chapters might view such alterations with suspicion, the White Blades see them as sacred tools, extensions of Guilliman’s will to safeguard mankind, a means to pierce the veils of stealth craft and alien guile.
Their campaigns are conducted with a precision that borders on the preternatural. Strike forces descend without herald, their movements calculated by data-streams whispered through their sensor vanes, cutting through xenos ambush and void silence alike. To the T’au and their auxiliaries, the White Blades are spectral predators, appearing from the dusk of war to sever supply lines and decapitate command cadres before fading once more into the stars. Each victory is recorded in the marble vaults of their fortress-monastery, the Bladehold, not merely as triumphs of arms but as acts of eternal duty. A promise to the Imperium that no frontier, however distant or strange, will be left unguarded while the sons of Guilliman endure.
Chapter History[]
The Chapter was created during the Ultima Founding to serve has guardians agaisnt the T'au Empire. They serve has stout defenders of the Imperium, eradicating xenos forces and chaos warbands alike. They have fought many wars agaisnt the brutal Orks and have a deep hatred for them. They have incorporated extra sensors into the armor in the form of Feline ears to honour their homeworld.
Notable Campaigns[]
- The Dravac Reclamation (980-983.M41) - The baptism of fire for the White Blades came in the furnace of the Dravac Reclamation, a grinding conflict that tested the mettle of the young Chapter to its very core. The campaign began as a calculated crusade to reclaim the mineral, rich systems of the Dravac Spur from a rising Ork infestation, yet it swiftly descended into a war of attrition more savage than any prognostication of the Codex Astartes could predict. Across three long Terran years the Chapter bled for every blasted redoubt and scorched valley, their 8th and 9th Companies ground down until little more than tattered banners and the stubborn will of their captains remained. Even the 10th Company, charged only with reconnaissance and harassment, found itself thrust into pitched battle, its neophytes earning their armour in the crucible of ceaseless greenskin assault.
The nadir came with the first Day of Blood, when the infamous Warboss Snarsap led a sudden, perfectly timed strike against the Bladehold’s forward bastions. In a single, howling night of fire and iron, the 5th and the already mauled 6th Companies were obliterated, their sacrifice buying scant hours for a counterstroke. Responding with cold fury, what remained of the 2nd Company, supported by a hard-bitten division of the Dravac Planetary Defence Force, launched a retaliatory assault through the shattered hives. In a storm of bolter fire and crimson, edged blades they brought Snarsap low, ending the Waaagh! but at a price that would scar the Chapter’s annals. The victory secured Imperial control of the Spur, yet the White Blades emerged a shadow of their founding strength, battle-brothers interred in stasis, companies reduced to handfuls, and a somber vow etched into their hearts: that no alien, however brutish or cunning, would ever again find them unprepared. - The First Delirium War (003-006.M42) - The First Delirium war was a deeply personal conflict that saw the WAAAGH led by Ork Warboss Snotsnig and his second in command Killjaw Deff Killa launching an attack accross the Ultrarion system, home of the White Blades. It was a violent war that culmunated in the Second Day of Blood when Killjaw Deff Killa eradicated the entire 4th and 7th company save three intercessors, a chaplain and two librarians.
Enraged, the 3rd company led by Captain Krells ordered a charge into the fray. This led to the killing of Killjaw at the hand of the Baneblade "Wrath" but also greatly angered Snotsnig who took charge of the war and broke through the defenses, nearly overwhelming the White Blades upon their homeworld of Felidae Prime. - The Second Delirium War (.M42) -
- The Eternity Raid (.M42) - Some time after the Second Delirium War, a Warhost of Aeldari launched an assault on the system to reclaim and old artifact buried within the core of each major celestial object.
Chapter Home World[]
Felidae Prime is a world of danger. The dark oceans are filled with gargantuan beasts older than humanity itself. The dark swampy rainforests are home to the most vicious of plants and animals. And the vast open savannah's are dangerous for anyone willing to cross them. It may be one of the most perfect planets to train Space Marines.
Fortress-Monastery[]
The Bladehold is a migthy fortress, designed to force the enemy in deadly flat fields. It's built in the center of the Octar field, withh a courtyard spanning dozens of kilometers in all directions. Enemies must first pass the massive walls constantly patrolled by the 5th and 6th companies, then they must advance through kilometers of flat open terrain, ready to be picked off by the many defences of the fortress. It is a abstion armed with hundreds of heavy bolters, and 7 orbital guns.

This assault is very versitile and works agaisnt any defences, be it long trenches or reinforced bastions.

Following the devastation during both Delirium wars, the Chapter found itself with too little warriors. As such, great numbers of Aspirant partook in the trials and too many where accepted. This led to an excess of arines. Wanting to stay adherent to the Codex, Chapter Master Seviran ordered the creation of the 11th Company, the Red Company. Set apart by their red armour these warriors are often used for holding defensive positions as they lack the tactical knowledge of older companies. Led by Captain Lumevar they began enterign service 3 years after the 2nd Delirium war and have helped defend the moons of Selek Amai against the Aeldari Warhost who raided it.

Combat Doctrine[]
The Combat doctrine of the White Blades includes a multitude of aspects.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd companies focus on charging enemy formations, striking hard, fast and unpredictably. The 4th and 5th companies focus on warfare at a distance whilst the 6th and 7th companies focus on rapid ambush assaults. The 8th and 9th companies often serve has all around backups capable of reinfocing any company whislt the young warriors of the 10th company serve has scouts and messengers.
Chapter Gene-Seed[]
The gene-seed of the White Blades is of the purest Ultramarine lineage, a legacy drawn from the Primarch Roboute Guilliman and sanctified by the ancient vaults of Terra. During the Ultima Founding, when the Indomitus Crusade sought to strengthen the Imperium’s bleeding frontiers, the Magi of the Adeptus Mechanicus and the apothecarion of the Ultramarines selected only the most inviolate helix strains for the creation of new Chapters. Within the sealed gene-vats of Mars, the progenoid stock of the XIII Legion was replicated and tempered through centuries of scrupulous testing, each organ measured against the exacting standards of the Codex Astartes. From these sacred vaults came the foundation of the White Blades, their very essence a fragment of Guilliman’s unyielding will.
As with all sons of Macragge, the White Blades exhibit remarkable stability within their genetic architecture. No mutations have been recorded beyond the expected minor variances of long crusades, and their susceptibility to hypno-doctrinal training remains exemplary. Their twin progenoid glands mature with predictable precision, ensuring a steady renewal of battle-brothers even in the wake of the grievous losses that have marked their history. Apothecaries of the Chapter guard these organs with a zeal bordering on the devotional, encasing fallen brethren within reliquaries of adamantine until the sacred harvest is complete. To them, the reclamation of a single progenoid is a victory equal to the fall of an enemy stronghold, for within that genetic seed lies the eternal continuity of the Chapter’s honour.
Yet the White Blades are not mere replicas of their Ultramarine forebears. The harsh trials of the Eastern Fringe and the endless wars against xenos have lent a subtle divergence to their character, a steely independence that manifests not in the corruption of their gene-seed but in the spirit it sustains. Their helix remains unsullied, a gleaming testament to the Emperor’s design, even as their deeds bear the scars of a frontier existence. Thus does the White Blades’ gene-seed stand as both anchor and beacon: the flawless gift of Guilliman’s bloodline, carried forth into the dark where alien empires rise, and where the sons of the XIII Legion guard humanity’s fate with blades of white fire and hearts unbroken.
Primarch's Curse: Pride of Ultramar[]
Battle-Brothers of the White Blades and Sons of the Ultramarines know well their place among the Adeptus Astartes and the importance of their Chapter to both the Imperium and the Emperor. They have the pride in knowing that theirs is the pinnacle of the Codex Astartes and the legacy of the loyalist legions which served the Emperor in his darkest days. It is a pride, however, that can sometimes blind them to reality and make them arrogant and uncooperative when the battle would dictate they work with lesser warriors.
- Level 1 (The Emperor's Finest): White Blades consider themselves the Emperor's favoured sons and the pride of the Imperium. This can lead members of the Chapter to consider others incapable or unable to complete missions that should by rights fall to the Ultramarines. The Battle-Brother always volunteers his squad for the most dangerous or challenging missions whenever possible and always ensures his team is where the fighting is the thickest.
- Level 2 (Sons of the Codex): The Battle-Brother has been trained to follow the Codex Astartes to the letter and interpret its teachings flawlessly. Understandably, he is distrustful of those Chapters that do not adhere to the Codex. The Battle-Brother cannot function effectively when serving alongside Space Marines of the Space Wolves or Black Templars Chapters, as he will simply not follow their orders.
- Level 3 (Leaders not Followers): White Blades are natural leaders and make excellent battlefield commanders at all levels of command. This pride and training, however, can lead to them scorning or disregarding the leadership of those from other Chapter or Imperial forces.
Culture and Beliefs[]
Felines are a major part of the Felidae Prime ecosystem. As such they are often venerated amongst the populace as perfect creations of the God emperor made a gift to the world. This veneration for felines also transcends into the power armour of the Chapter, their helmets being outfitted with extra sensors for longer comms designed to resemble the earring appendages of the felines of their world. This serves as both a way to honor their origins whilst also giving them an extra advantage in battle.
Chapter Recruitment[]
Hail the Feline[]
The trials of the Chapter are some of the most demanding, for the sons of Guilliman will only accept the utmost quality of marines. the trials go as follow :
- The Trial of the Will - Aspirants are dropped into one of the many swampy jungles of Felidae prime with nothing but a combat knife. They must survive one month. Interestignly aspirants who find each other are very much allowed to work together has the chapter values teamwork and coordination.
- Trial of the Strenght - After a month has passed, Aspirants are dropped into the Nadir sea and must swim back to shore, for a minimum of 200 kilometers in dark waters filled with beasts of hunger
- Trial of the Speed - Aspirants are then tasked with catching a Chite, a very fast small bipedal bird. There is only one chance.
- Trial of the Hunt - For their final task, the aspirants must hunt down a Felar. A beast so dangerous even the wretched daemons of chaos and the adaptive tyranids fear fighting it.
Interesting Aspect[]
Women are allowed to partake in the trials. has a matter of fact it is encouraged. This is because, to protect the tomb of saint Linvi, the order minoris present there requires battle sisters of the utmost quality. Thus, to prove their worth, aspiring women partake in the same trials as the aspirants of the chapter. The chaplains show no favoritism for any candidate and are exampalry in the selection. They explain clearly everythign needed to be known and give no help. Only the best shalt surpass

- The Apocalypse Banner - The Apocalypse Banner was the banner carried by Captain Krell when he lead the 3rd company agaisnt Killjaw's forces in the Day of Vengeance. It is now a symbol of vengeance, and, whenever the Chapter must face the vile Orks, the banner is wielded high, a symbol of power.
