A talk page is one of several places where you can speak freely with your fellow contributors. They are an older, purely wikitext-based form of the Comments feature, seen on articles. They are primarily used to hash out improvements to a single page or to the community as a whole.

When leaving a message on a fellow user's talk page, please ensure that you abide by the following rules:

  • Abide by the wiki's rules.
  • Ensure that you leave your signature (~~~~) after your message or comments, to let the user know who left the message.
  • Content and messages left by users on a Talk Page is NOT to be removed. Only in the most dire circumstances (such as rulebreaking or vandalism). Otherwise, if you want content removed from your Talk Page, please inform one of the wiki's Admins and they will remove the content for you, unless prior permission is granted by the Admins to do so.
  • If you no longer want to see dozens upon dozens of messages on your Talk Page (especially long time users who've gathered hundreds of messages on their talk page over several years) you may then have the content archived. This is easily accomplished by creating a new talk page with an appropriate archived directory. The link(s) to the archived page(s) should be clearly visible at the top of your original talk page.

Remember, when leaving a message on someone's Talk Page please do not make any personal attacks. Don't write that the user is an idiot or insult him/her (even if (s)he is an idiot) or make personal attacks on their contributions, saying things like their work is substandard. Instead, explain what they did wrong, why it is wrong, and how to fix it. Leaving such negative comments on a person's Talk Page constitutes Harassment and Intimidating Behaviour. We have a ZERO tolerance policy on this wiki. Such action will result in an immediate and permanent ban from the wiki by the Administrators against the offending editor. This is a one-strike policy with NO appeal; certain types of behaviour are simply not tolerated.
