Tech-Priest Construction This article, Unchained Confederation, is currently under active construction. The author, TechCaptain, apologizes for the inconvenience.

Formed from the insatiable thirst for innovation, power, and forbidden knowledge, this chaos warband stands apart, rejecting the sanctity and righteousness of the Emperor that binds others to a perceived moral code. The Unchained Confederation emerged from the collective disdain for the perceived limitations imposed by the Emperor's rules and visions. The warband believes that only by breaking free from these constraints can they ascend to become a true powerhouse in the universe. Their philosophy is rooted in the pursuit of dark knowledge, technological supremacy, and the relentless acquisition of power. Although they do not share knowledge and information between the many parts of the warband, they are quite effective considering their erratic and adaptable fighting style. The warband's advantage lies in the mystery surrounding its leadership. The true leader remains shrouded in secrecy, known only to a select few. This deliberate obscurity provides a shield against conventional strategies to dismantle the warband. Even if the leader were to fall, the tightly knit structure ensures that another member can seamlessly assume the role, keeping the Unchained Confederation intact. Thriving on the fringes of the Warp, the Unchained Confederation has proven highly successful in their dark mission. Their mastery of technology, coupled with the unpredictable nature of their decentralized structure, has confounded both Imperial forces and rival chaos warbands. Their shadows stretch across the galaxy, leaving a trail of innovation and subversion in their wake.

History[]

The Unchained Confederation finds its roots in the dissident murmurs that echoed through various warbands and rogue elements. These disparate groups, disillusioned by the constraints imposed by the Imperium, Ecclesiarchy, and Adeptus Mechanicus, yearned for something more. Their collective belief in the pursuit of knowledge, unbridled innovation, and unrestrained power set the foundation for the confederation's rise. As these disparate groups and individuals with similar beliefs began to coalesce, they formed the Unchained Confederation. The warband's loose structure allowed them to operate independently, each warleader pursuing their own objectives as dictated by their specific visions and goals. This flexibility made them highly adaptable and effective in their missions.

The Unchained Confederation's main method of recruitment is the acquisition of splintered groups and abandoned assets. They have a knack for gathering up rogue elements, outcasts, and disillusioned individuals who have grown tired of the oppressive rule of the Imperium. The warband's promise of freedom and the pursuit of knowledge and power is an alluring proposition for those who have lost faith in the Emperor's vision.

The Unchained Confederation operates through a network of interconnected branches, stemming from the council known as the High Table. Comprising Space Marines and technical specialists, each with their own warbands, this council reflects the confederation's multifaceted nature. Ciara Ghlic, with her ambiguous seat, orchestrates this intricate dance of power, ensuring that the Unchained Confederation thrives in the shadows, elusive and unpredictable. Her manipulative and shadowy leadership style allows her to control the central leaders of the warband while maintaining an air of secrecy.

Warband Organisation[]

The Unchained Confederation operates as a loose amalgamation of independent groups led by various war leaders. While providing mutual support for supplies, each group predominantly pursues its own objectives guided by their respective leaders. This decentralized structure ensures adaptability, allowing for swift, individualized actions. A mysterious female Heretek is the ultimate leader of this loose confederation but few in the warband know and even fewer if any outside it. The Unchained Confederation is fragmented into numerous independent groups, each possessing limited knowledge about the existence and activities of their counterparts. This deliberate compartmentalization minimizes the risk of complete capture in case one group faces compromise. The warband thrives on the principle that ignorance can be a shield. Primarily, the Unchained Confederation augments its forces by assimilating splintered groups and claiming abandoned assets. This strategy allows them to draw in rogue elements, outcasts, and those disillusioned with the Imperium, ensuring a constant influx of diverse and discontented individuals.

Ciara Ghlic, a Dark Admech controls the groups through a council made up of ex-Bloodmoon Hunters, Human pirate-admirals, A Wrack who has been punished by his coven to serve the Unchained, and Various hereteks with different specializations. The spymaster of this council is suspected of being an Abominable intelligence or a Daemon. The council in part is a parody of the Master's Council of the Bloodmoon Hunters in where the majority of the leaders are Space Marines but besides each marine is a Technical specialist who really holds all the cards. Ciara Chlic's own seat is actually occupied by a former Artificer of the Bloodmoon Hunters who which most of the council think it is he, not her, that sits as the High Master of the Council. The leaders at the High Table command their own warbands, resulting in a complex network of interconnected branches. This intricate structure ensures that power is dispersed, making it challenging for adversaries to decipher the true extent of the Unchained Confederation's influence, leading to many more branches than what is represented by the highest.

Combat Doctrine[]

The Warband shows a high-degree of adaptability in battle, both in terms of tactics and the weapons its members employ. When an enemy counters one tactic used by the Unchained, the war leader plans accordingly, adapts, and changes strategy, enabling it to outmaneuver its enemies and catch them completely off-guard. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to their situation represents the core of the Warband's combat doctrine. As they prepare to engage their opponents, these members are always careful to identify all of their assets and utilize them to the fullest means possible. These members often choose to take measures that others might consider dishonorable. One of the more notable assets used often is renegade and splintered former Astra Militarum groups used as mercenaries or fodder. Be'lakor's insidious whispers guide the war leaders in the art of deception and misdirection. The adaptability and strategic flexibility of the Warband become not just tactical prowess but a manifestation of chaos and unpredictability, sown to disrupt the plans of their enemies. The war leaders, attuned to the chaotic guidance of Be'lakor, exploit the fears and uncertainties of their enemies, turning the battlefield into a realm of psychological warfare. The Hereteks, fueled by Vashtorr's influence, introduce daemonic machineries and twisted innovations, further blurring the line between science and sorcery.

The Hereteks of the Unchained are enigmatic figures in an expansive organization which trades in information and technology, always selling to the highest bidder. The Hereteks appear to be highly competent in their trade: all secrets and technology that are bought and sold never allow one customer of them to gain a significant advantage, forcing the customers to continue trading information to avoid becoming disadvantaged, allowing them to remain in business. These Hereteks supports the principle that any methods of advancing humanity's ascension are entirely justified, including illegal or dangerous experimentation, terrorist activities, sabotage and assassination. Their operatives accept that these methods are brutal, but believe history will vindicate them. Communication throughout the Unchained sometimes takes the form of steganographic messages embedded within broadcasts and other forms of media. The Unchained, under Vashtorr's influence, see technology not just as a means to an end but as a malevolent force to be harnessed at any cost. The machinations of the Hereteks, driven by a thirst for forbidden knowledge, align with Vashtorr's essence, forging alliances with dark powers and pursuing advancements that defy the boundaries of morality.

Warband Beliefs[]

Under Be'lakor's insidious influence and the dark machinations of Vashtorr, the Unchained Confederation emerges as a chaotic tapestry, where threads of manipulation are interwoven with the diverse beliefs of its members. Their rebellion against the Imperium is not a mere act of defiance but a carefully orchestrated dance, fueled by illusions and misinformation that shape the narrative according to their whims. In the shadow of Be'lakor's whispers, the Unchained Confederation has made unholy pacts with Hereteks and Chaos entities, forming alliances with the dark forces of Slaanesh, Khorne, Tzeentch, and Nurgle. These entities are not revered as deities but seen as tools for power and advancement, a means to an end rather than objects of worship. The warband stands as a testament to Chaos Undivided, with each member forging their own path, driven by personal ambitions amid the swirling currents of the Warp.

The Unchained Confederation's core tenets revolve around power and innovation, transcending the limitations of the Imperium through the chaotic forces of the Warp. Freedom, the rallying cry of the warband, is the unifying concept amidst the diverse beliefs. Yet, this pursuit of freedom, under the dual influence of Be'lakor and Vashtorr, takes on a sinister edge, veiled in illusions and dark alliances. The pursuit of power in the form of forbidden knowledge, advanced technology, and mastery over Chaos is a driving force within the warband. They see themselves as visionaries who can transcend the limitations of the Imperium through their willingness to explore the darker paths of power.

The Unchained Astartes, under the dual sway of these malevolent entities, show little regard for civility or deference. Their interactions are marked by a disdain for authority, except for the pursuit of power and innovation. Pleasure is found in testing their skills against worthy foes, and Hereteks from Mjorn are embraced to enhance their own capabilities. Some, consumed by the pursuit of perfection, fall to Slaanesh, while others, driven by the bloodlust of the hunt, succumb to Khorne. A rare few entangle themselves in the complex plans of Tzeentch, while Nurgle's influence finds a home among a minority. The Unchained Astartes have made deals with Hereteks, many from Mjorn to continue their trend of improving upon themselves seeking perfection.

Vashtorr, the enigmatic "God in the Machine," exerts a profound influence through his Hereteks, the Xenarites. These tech-heretics, driven by an insatiable curiosity for forbidden xenos technology, wage war against alien races not for conquest but to study and exploit. Vashtorr's presence is particularly felt among these Hereteks, with a greater following of Tzeentch, the Architect of Fate. The Xenarites, like puppeteers pulling strings, involve themselves in innovation and manipulation, adding another layer to the intricate dance orchestrated by Be'lakor.

Mjorn Xenarites Hereteks continue to pursue of forbidden xenos technology. Such is their curiosity, they wage war against the alien races of the galaxy not to conquer or exterminate, but to study. The Xenarites are dedicated to the study and exploitation of alien technology, a policy which most Tech-priests off of Mjorn find highly offensive. Xenarite Heretek expeditions attack alien populations, planetary garrisons, even the Skitarii Legions of other Forge Worlds. Open war with Imperial authorities common. These Hereteks pursue the dark path of tech-heresy completely on their own, forging their own roads to damnation independent of any direct connection to Chaos or the Dark Mechanicum, though still wholly in violation of the strictures of the Cult of the Machine God. They support the Astartes of the Unchained to improve upon them and use them as a steady supply source. It is among the Hereteks, Tzeentch has a greater following. Hereteks involve themselves in innovation and manipulation heavily.

Notable Warband Members[]

  • Ciara Ghlic, Mistress Shackle - The Mysterious leader of the Unchained Confederation. What little is known about her other than she is a Dark Skinned Renegade from the Forge World Mjorn. She was a follower of the Xenarite principles. Mistress Shackle, the enigmatic leader, maneuvers the intricate dance of power under the subtle guidance of Be'lakor. Her ability to control not just her warband but the very flow of events reflects the manipulative touch of the Dark Master. Ruling from the shadows on her massive Barque, she has access to information through many and sometimes unknown methods. Her most dangerous weapons are her abilities to process information and her willingness to use such information. Ciara is a subtle, sadistic and malevolent woman, who likes to rule from the shadows and enjoys herself at the expense of people. She has a firm contempt for ideals of justice and morality, dismissing them as beliefs of other people that shackle personal freedom. While she is a cautious and stingy person, she will always try to plan ahead and control details beforehand in order to avoid any haphazard actions that can endanger Unchained Confederation's existence.
  • Morvankh the Arachnid Aberration, Tethered Brother - Suspected to be a Fallen Bloodmoon Hunter, Tethered Brother is an ancient and formidable leader with a penchant for experimentation. Morvankh the Arachnid Aberration, known to the Unchained Confederation as Tethered Brother, stands as an imposing and nightmarish figure within the ranks of this Chaos warband. His chosen name reflects his gruesome appearance, a fusion of advanced bionics, chaotic mutations, and nightmarish horrors. With a visage that combines the unsettling features of a spider and a relentless hunter, Morvankh embodies the chaos-infused mastery that defines the Unchained Confederation. Tethered Brother leads a pack of grotesque Chaos Spawn, twisted Beastmen, and monstrous horrors, all dedicated to the service of Slaanesh, the Chaos God of excess and pleasure. He embraces the relentless pursuit of perfection and the thrill of the hunt, pushing the boundaries of chaos-induced mutations and experimentation to create the ultimate Hunter. With a focus on close-quarters combat and mutation-driven warfare, Morvankh is a master tactician who adapts seamlessly to ever-changing combat situations.
  • Reyler Vaulk-Phal Entity of the Electromagnetic Anomaly - Existing without a traditional body anymore, it was rumored he had an interaction with some technology that no longer bound him to flesh and blood or has become an Unchained Abominable Intelligence. Vaulk-Phal possesses the bodies of his various creations and followers, manipulating code and signals he comes across acting as the spymaster for the Unchained Confederation. Ever Changing, Vaulk-Phal leads several of the Tzeetchian sects of the Confederation. Cold-hearted, ruthless, and exceptionally intelligent, it shows little value for humans or its subordinates. Rarely displaying emotion, Vaulk-Phal only reveals satisfaction when its vision of perfection advances or when subordinates submit to its will.
  • Admiral Selene Drakara,Price Mistress - Admiral Selene Drakara, known within the Unchained Confederation as the Price Mistress, is a calculating and sociopathic leader whose name strikes fear into the hearts of her enemies. Her moniker reflects her unrelenting pursuit of personal gain and the ruthless manner in which she views others as mere commodities to be exploited. With a penchant for manipulation and an uncanny ability to identify opportunities in chaos, Admiral Drakara embodies the cold and calculating nature of the Unchained Confederation's leadership. The Admiral excels in resource management and the effective use of her subordinates as valuable human assets. Her leadership within the warband is defined by her sociopathic approach, where everything and everyone has a price. As a skilled planner and tactician, she is unburdened by emotions and is adept at mapping out various scenarios. She leads with a keen eye for opportunities, making her an indispensable figure within the Unchained Confederation.
  • Former Adept Scairp Bróicéir - A manipulative information broker and Heretek from Mjorn. A former member of the Divisio Juris, he specialized in assassination and interrogation for Mjorn but he real talent was in crafting finer armors and weapons. A natural craftsman, he learned the needed skills of lying and soon grew to speak in various tongues of those he interrogated. He broke from the Mechanicus while assigned to Explorator fleet for the crimes of innovation in front of those Puritian fools of Mars.
  • War-Heretek Ollkyrax the Battlesmith - A former Skitarii sergeant promoted to Tech-Priest, this warrior detested the Mechanicus' impersonal ranged tactics, and never lost the taste for close quarters battle. Eventually, during a deployment against chaos forces, he gave in to whispers of great power and forbidden innovation, betraying his fellows in favour of the Unchained Confederation they were fighting against. Sabotaging critical wargear and creating a gap in the perimeter, the battle was over before it began. Upon officially joining the Confederation, he gave himself the seemingly random name Ollkyrax, which is in fact based on his old Skitariius designation "011-Killer-Ypsilon/Radex".

Notable Unchained Innovations[]

Strife-Pattern Servitor[]

Ollkyrax's dark experiments, guided by whispers from Vashtorr and the manipulative touch of Be'lakor, birthed the Strife-Pattern Servitor. This unholy amalgamation of forbidden xenos tech and chaotic ingenuity exemplifies the warband's commitment to innovation, a fusion where Vashtorr's gifts dance with the manipulations of Be'lakor. This combat servitor embodies a grim and brutal nature. It is a menacing quadrupedal war walker with four biomechanical legs, attached to a rectangular connection chassis that supports a more humanoid upper torso. This upper body wields a massive chainsword in each of its bionic hands, ready to inflict devastation upon its foes.

Despite its imposing appearance, the Strife-Pattern Servitor is not as resilient as it seems. Its armor is robust, but the internal components and biological tissues that make up its core are fragile, rendering it vulnerable to both sustained and heavy fire. This servitor's computing capacity is severely limited, primarily allocated to the intricacies of blade trajectories, servomuscle management, and acceleration calculations. As a result, it serves one grim purpose: close combat.

In the twisted war doctrine of the Unchained Confederation, these Strife-Pattern Servitors are deployed en masse as cannon fodder. They charge with unrelenting determination towards the enemy, their chainswords cutting through any opposition before they can respond with ranged firepower. These expendable servitors serve as the vanguard, probing the enemy's strengths and weaknesses, allowing more valuable units to follow and exploit the information gathered.

Chainbreaker Combat Servitor Pattern[]

The Chainbreaker Combat Servitor Pattern, an abomination born from the forbidden union of organic and mechanical elements, is a nightmarish testament to the Unchained Confederation's willingness to tread the darkest paths of technological innovation. Standing like grotesque titans at an imposing 274 centimeters (9 feet) in height, these bipedal monstrosities embody the unholy fusion of simian, ursine, and rhinoceros genes, creating a horrifying amalgamation that strikes fear into the hearts of those who face them.

With their thick, gray skin, matted fur-like hair, and, in some instances, coarse beards, the Chainbreaker servitors resemble a perverse hybrid of gorillas, bears, and rhinoceroses. Beyond their nightmarish appearance, these servitors are designed for one purpose – close combat brutality. Their immense strength and animalistic ferocity make them formidable adversaries, leaving destruction in their wake.

The armament of the Chainbreaker is a symphony of terror. One side boasts an advanced cannon, a death-dealing instrument designed for raining destruction from a distance. On the other side, secondary weapon systems unleash torrents of roaring flame, turning the battlefield into a hellish inferno and scattering enemies in abject terror. Those unfortunate enough to survive the relentless barrage are left with little recourse but to flee for their lives.

While traces of their fleshy origins linger in the torso and head, the majority of the Chainbreaker's frame is a nightmarish melding of titanium and plasteel, rendering it nearly impervious to conventional weaponry. Cybernetic enhancements fortify its role as a close assault operative, and integrated protective field generators enhance its resilience, making it a formidable force on the battlefield.

The incredible speed and dexterity of the Chainbreaker are a testament to the tightly coiled vat-grown muscles that power its augmented form. Each massive servo-fist, capable of pummeling even the sturdiest of foes into submission, underscores the merciless efficiency of this techno-daemonic creation. The Chainbreaker Combat Servitor, a living nightmare on the battlefield, stands as a stark symbol of the Unchained Confederation's pact with dark powers and their unyielding pursuit of technological supremacy.

Notable Locations[]

  • Hellforge Sócamas: This foreboding realm stands as a testament to the unholy marriage of Vashtorr's insatiable curiosity and Be'lakor's manipulative influence. Within the twisted expanse of Hellforge Sócamas, seekers of forbidden knowledge and wielders of insidious power converge in a dance of dark enlightenment. The landscape itself is an eerie fusion of alien remnants and otherworldly flora, a surreal tapestry woven by the hands of daemonic influence.

Massive metallic structures, grotesque in their phage-like design, sprawl across the hellish terrain, remnants of twisted experimentation. Some of these malevolent creations hover ominously in the air, casting an unsettling red and green glow that pierces the perpetual darkness. Others lie embedded in the ground, dormant yet sinister, emanating a feeble yellow gleam as they absorb energy to fuel their enigmatic growth.

Towering pillars, shrouded in noxious green mist, punctuate the landscape, lending an ominous haze to the surroundings. Adorned with bizarre cross-shaped rattles and tendrils, these pillars exude an unsettling atmosphere that resonates with the whispers of the Warp. The tentacle-like plants scattered across the terrain emit a faint red-orange luminescence, casting eerie shadows during the oppressive night. Meanwhile, the rattles within the structures emit an eerie yellow light through ring-shaped crevices, further enhancing the nightmarish ambiance of Hellforge Sócamas.

This desolate and unnatural landscape transcends mere physicality; it is a manifestation of the Unchained Confederation's unquenchable thirst for power and forbidden lore.

Warband Appearance[]

Members of the Unchained Confederation bear the indelible mark of both Vashtorr, the God in the Machine, and Be'lakor, the Shadowed Duke, in the eclectic amalgamation of their war gear. From corrupted Adeptus Astartes power armor to defiled Mechanicus robes, each piece of attire is a testament to the warband's unholy union with the Warp. Adorned with profane symbols, chaotic runes, and daemonic sigils, the armor pulsates with the corruptive energies that bind the Unchained to their dark patrons. Trophies and symbols of accomplishment, personalized by each member, further emphasize their individuality while showcasing their allegiance to the chaotic forces that govern them.

Warband Colours[]

The Unchained Confederation rejects the constraints of uniformity. Each faction within the warband adopts its own palette, reflecting the diverse influences that shape their beliefs. However, Ciara Ghlic's inner circle stands out in distinctive Toxic Green and Sinister Purple. These colors, symbolic of toxic innovation and sinister machinations, embody the warband's ethos.

Individual factions, aligned with specific Chaos Gods or unique ideologies, contribute to the visual cacophony with their personalized color schemes. This lack of uniformity adds to the warband's unpredictable nature, a chaotic blend mirroring the conflicting influences that dance within the Unchained Confederation.

Warband Badge[]

Embracing the chaotic individualism inspired by Vashtorr and Be'lakor, the Unchained Confederation forgoes a centralized emblem, allowing factions to express their unique beliefs. However, a common motif surfaces among the diverse groups: a broken chain, symbolizing their rejection of Imperial constraints. This motif intertwines with chaotic symbols, skulls, or warp-touched imagery, reflecting their allegiance to the dark powers.

Ciara Ghlic's inner circle, immersed in Toxic Green and Sinister Purple, adopts a stylized eye within a broken chain. This emblem symbolizes their focus on information, manipulation, and breaking free from perceived Imperial constraints. Although lacking a universal badge, the myriad symbols within the Unchained Confederation serve as chaotic identifiers, allowing members to recognize allies amidst the tumultuous battlegrounds.

Warband Fleet[]

The Unchained Confederation's fleet, a motley amalgamation of mercenary vessels and pirate ships, finds its beating heart in the enigmatic flagship known as the Chained Barque. This vessel, steeped in a complex history, stands as a testament to the eclectic convergence of xenos technology and forbidden knowledge.

Originally conceived as a superweapon by unknown xenos, the Chained Barque's elegant design remained dormant for millennia, a tantalizing mystery awaiting discovery. Countless species, spanning the reaches of time, contributed to its development, each adding their unique touch to the vessel's enigmatic blueprint. Despite its intricate construction, the true functionality of the Chained Barque remained a subject of speculation among Techpriests, with only glimpses of its intended power harnessed.

Unearthed from the echoes of extinction, the Chained Barque serves dual roles within the Unchained Confederation's fleet. Functioning as a data repository, it harbors the secrets of countless worlds, a treasure trove of forbidden lore. Simultaneously, it operates as a stealth ship, its dark silhouette slipping through the void, engaged in the clandestine trade of information.

An ingenious feat of engineering, the Chained Barque draws its power from the perpetual thunderstorms that rage across one of the Confederation's hidden base planets. Orbiting this tempestuous world, the vessel's survival hinges on a delicate dance of kinetic barriers, grounding rods, and capacitors. This intricate system ensures that the ship not only withstands the relentless assault of thunderous forces but channels their chaotic energy to fuel its mysterious mechanisms.

Cortical implants embedded in the crew allow them to navigate the vast seas of information housed within the Chained Barque. Projected screens materialize in their vision, synchronized with eye movements and gestures as they sift through the wealth of stored data. The ship becomes a nexus of knowledge, a sentient entity in its own right, resonating with the chaos that permeates the Unchained Confederation.

The Chained Barque's arsenal is a manifestation of its destructive potential. A main cannon battery utilizes an electromagnetic field to shape and accelerate a torrent of superheated molten metal to relativistic velocities. Upon impact, this devastating stream inflicts horrendous damage on any unfortunate target, leaving behind a wake of destruction echoing the vessel's mysterious origins.

Subordinate Warbands[]

Cogs of the Scorpion Sect[]

The Cogs of the Scorpion Sect, a branch within the Unchained Confederation, represent a covert and subversive force cultivated by the masterful manipulator Scairp. Born from the chaos of a prison break on the Chains of Judgement, these individuals, once mere inmates, have evolved into deniable assets adept at infiltrating Forge Worlds. Functioning as an extension of Scairp's clandestine influence, the Cogs prioritize information gathering, stealth, and guerrilla tactics. Embracing the chaos undivided philosophy, they operate in the shadows, challenging the established order and disseminating the seeds of dissent across the galaxy. Their decentralized structure and emphasis on menial and underclass recruits make them a cunning and elusive arm of the Unchained Confederation, contributing to the broader mission of breaking free from the perceived chains of the Imperium.

Electromantic Enigma[]

The Electromantic Enigma, a covert force within the Unchained Confederation, operates as the technological arm and spymaster division under the mysterious leadership of Reyler Vaulk-Phal. Specializing in cyberwarfare, information manipulation, and covert operations, the warband serves as a crucial asset for the larger faction. With Vaulk-Phal's expertise in electromagnetic forces, the Enigma excels in disrupting enemy communications, infiltrating networks, and launching devastating cyber-attacks. Equipped with mental implants, members of the warband can be occasionally possessed by Vaulk-Phal, turning them into conduits for the spymaster's consciousness. This unique feature enhances their adaptability and effectiveness in various scenarios. The warband's focus on technological innovation, including forbidden advancements and xenos tech, contributes to their prowess in both physical and digital realms. In warfare, the Electromantic Enigma engages in strategic sabotage, psychological warfare, infiltration, and assassination. Operating as a networked force, they seamlessly coordinate actions in both the physical and digital domains, ensuring a multifaceted approach to conflicts.

Webweavers[]

The Webweavers, led by the enigmatic Tethered Brother Morvankh, constitute the formidable combat arm of the Unchained Confederation. With their Chaos Spawn, Twisted Beastmen Cult, Monstrous Horrors, and Cult of Pleasure-Seekers, serve as both enforcers and implementers of the Confederation's chaotic agenda on the battlefield. Embodying Morvankh's focus on experimentation and chaos-induced mutations, they bring a destructive edge to the Confederation's innovative pursuits. The Slaaneshi Sorcerers within the warband contribute not only to combat but also play a crucial role in the Confederation's information-gathering endeavors, tapping into chaotic energies to unveil hidden truths. The Webweavers' symbol, a stylized spider web, and their chosen colors of deep purples and iridescent blues.

Nexus Syndicate[]

Admiral Selene Drakara's warband, designated as the Nexus Syndicate, serves as the primary fleet and economic division within the vast expanse of the Unchained Confederation. Comprising a highly efficient network of pirates, ganger enforcers, renegade mercenaries, and skilled smugglers, the Nexus Syndicate is a multifaceted force that excels in both military might and economic influence. Their pirate fleet dominates trade routes, extracting resources and wealth from unsuspecting targets, while ganger enforcers ensure control over criminal enterprises, creating a lucrative underbelly. Renegade mercenaries provide a powerful and adaptable military backbone, securing the interests of the Confederation. The Nexus Syndicate's smuggling operations seamlessly navigate through legal barriers, ensuring a steady flow of contraband and wealth.

Knights of Laeran Center The Knights of Laeran are a Chaos Warband devoted to Slaanesh, derived primarily from the Emperor's Children. They are particularly infamous for their tendency to infiltrate, fortify, and corrupt Imperial pleasure worlds, rather than the raiding and pillaging typical of Slaanesh worshipers. The Knights in particular are deep allies of the Unchained Confederation as it is home to a sect of this warband for use of Hellforges.
