Toxus Evermist, also known as the Destroyer, the Corrupt Terminator and the Toxic Heretic is a Lord of Contagion and leader of the Sons of Poison Chaos Warband. This champion of Nurgle was once a proud member of the Dusk Raiders Legion's First Company, whose name was Torlan Endwarm, who fought many battles alongside the Emperor before the discovery of their Primarch Mortarion on the toxic planet of Barbarus.
When the great civil conflict known as Horus Heresy began, he sided with his gene-father, performing several atrocities in his lord's name. As Toxus made his way to Holy Terra with his legion, the blessings of Nurgle fell upon them, wrapping their bodies and souls. Finally coming out of the Warp, the great astartes of before was no more, the Lord of Contagion Toxul Evermist taking his place.
During the infamous Siege of Terra, the Destroyer was slain by after befalling several defenders with Nurgle's blessings and his dreaded weapon, the axe Poison Blade. When the battle was coming close to an end, however, the blasphemous energies of the Immaterium reanimated the fallen warrior, granting him the chance to spread contagion throughout the stars.
Due to his constant campaign of pandemic, religious crusade, the numbers of his followers are never as high as he'd hope for. However, no single warrior ho traded blows with him lived to see the story.
