The Star Heralds is a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter created from unknown lineage during the 4th Founding following the near-disastrous War of the Beast which saw the largest Ork WAAAGH! nearly bring the Imperium to its knees. This conflict incurred terrible costs upon the Space Marine Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes and the other military forces of the Imperium of Man. Only through extreme sacrifice and valour was this massive Ork WAAAGH! defeated.
Though the WAAAGH! collapsed, thousands of Imperial systems remained under threat of the remaining Greenskins. It was decreed that the Imperium would raise as many new Chapters as they had gene-seed in the great vaults of Terra to sustain. All Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes were ordered to release a portion of their Veterans to provide the initial basis for this Founding, the greatest since the First Founding. Gene-seed tithing was doubled for the next standard century to replenish the vaults.
After enough gene-seed had been collected in the Adeptus Mechanicus vaults on Terra, the High Lords of Terra authorised the 4th Founding of the Adeptus Astartes, sometime in the middle centuries of the 32nd Millennium, to help bring order to an Imperium rife with civil strife and insurrection, and to help restore Imperial law. One of these newly created Chapters was the Star Heralds.
Since their inception the Star Heralds have continued to steadfastly stand eternal vigil over the realms of the Emperor to ensure it remains defended against threats both from without and within. They have continuously crusaded across the width and beadth of the Imperium to ensure that Imperial worlds remain free from the tyranny of the apostate, the heretic and the xenos.
Chapter History
The Star Heralds was founded during the 4th Founding in 608.M32. In their early years the chapter proclaimed a eternal crusade to spread the emperor's word and faith. The Star Heralds first set their sights on reclaiming worlds lost in the wake of the war of the beast. Enacting their first true crusade called the Honorius crusade after the first high herald.
Notable Campaigns
The Star Heralds have been in many conflicts against the enemies of the imperium some more known than others. this includes their 12 crusades. Most of their fighting and actions has been recorded by the chapter itself, because of this the records they show may not include the truth and must be compared with imperial records.
- The Honorius Crusade (609-620 Date.M32) - Led By High Herald Honorius Van the crusade saw the subjugation and reconquest of several worlds taken by the green-skin menace.
Chapter Homeworld
The chapter is fleet-based so they do not posses a home world instead they take their recruits from several worlds in the imperium most notably from the segmentum obscurus.
Fortress-Monastery
Navis Divina(Battle Barge) - The Navis Divina serves as the Star Heralds fortress-monastery and flagship.

The Companies of the star Heralds are divided into 6 battle companies 3 reserve companies and 1 scout company.
The Battle companies are the 1st(Star Children), 2nd(Dawn Blades), 3rd(Star Reavers), 4th(Void Stars), 5th(Favored Preachers), 6th(Dark Born). The Reserve companies are the 7th(Light Born), 8th(Blood Stars), and 9th(Null Stars). With the 10th company acting as the scouts of the chapter
The Battle companies are organized like this: Company Champion, Command Squad (Ancient, Chaplain, Apothecary, Librarian, Techmarine), 2 tactical Squads, 6 assault Squads, 2 Inceptor Squads, and 1 confessor squad, each company differs a little depending on what they specialize in

Chapter Fleet
The Emperors Truth is the name of Star Heralds Fleet, it comprises of around 80 ships. With each company besides the 10th and 5th having 10 ships each.

The chapter wears red and gold as their main colors, with each company having their own color going in order from first to tenth, they are; white, bronze, blue, black, green, brown, purple, red, yellow, and none.
Chapter Badge
Star Heralds Chapter iconography utilised by the various companies of the Chapter.
The chapters badge is that of a closed tome with a 10-pointed star. Each company has their own variation of this main symbol. From first to tenth they are a single star (1st Company), two stars (2nd Company), 3 stars (3rd Company), ect. The only exception is the 10th Company which has a closed tome with no stars.
