The Solar Titans are a Codex Astartes-compliant Chapter created during the recent Ultima Founding at the ending of the Indomitus Crusade. They descend from the lineage of the stoic Primarch Rogal Dorn and, as such, are not particularly known to withdraw from battle, due to their stubbornness.
These noble soldiers are settled in the feral world of Palyphomas, the fifth planet of the Centurion System, located in the Ultima Segmentum. The mostly jungle world borders the far end of the T'au Empire, a fact that, coupled with its rich mineral and biochemical resources, make its defense highly desirable.
The Titans, altogether with the sparse human population of Palyphomas (composed mostly of the chapter servants) fight hard each day to hold imperial control over the planet, not only against xenos threats, but also against the deadly fauna and flora of the planet they have sworn to protect.
Chapter History
Since the creation of the Unnumbered Sons by the Lord Commander Roboute Gmilliman at the beginning of the Indomitius Crusade, these battle-brothers descendants of the legendery Imperial Fists have fought together as a cohese combat force that stood unshaken against the horrors they faced each day. They knew from the beggining that, one day, they were destined to compose a chapter.
These primaris stayed with the Primarch until the end, serving the Grey Shields primarily as infiltrators in hazardous situations, especially jungle confrontations. When the Ultramarines progenitor deemed the Crusade over, he joined the astartes that composed this force and joined them into the new Solar Titans chapter.
Benefitting from their jungle warfare expertis, they were strategically allocated in the feral-world of Palyphomas, a recently conquered resouseful planet at the border of the Imperium with the T'au Empire, deeming its defence of utmost importance.
Now a real chapter, the Solar Titans won't stop for anything until each and every alien attack is repelled from their pristine planet, and will make sure that all invaluable resources from the world biosphere and litosphere is put the use by the Imperium 's hands and Imperium's hands only.
Chapter Homeworld
The Solar Titans reside in the feral-world of Palyphomas, the fifth major celestial body to orit the Centurion Star. The planet is very rich both in mineral assets and biochemical utility. This apparent heavenly world for colonization by the Imperium, at first glance, proved much more hazardous than expected. First, of course, there is the constant threat of attack by T'au forces trying to expand their boundaries and spread the Greater Good among all species of the Galaxy. Then, there's also the perillous fauna and flora native of the planet. Top all that with the toxic atmosphere and elevated gravity of the planet and the challenge of normal human settling is explained.
Many imperial officers have argued that executing Exterminatus protocol in the planet and terraforming it would be the quickest and safest way to acquiring the planet's mineral deposits. However, this radical solution is disregarded by the High Lords of Terra, for they understand that the resources "produced" by Palyphomas wildlife are just as important to the imperium as its inorganic materials.
Fortress-Monastery
The Solar Titans base their operations at Hell's Gate, their massive fortress-monastery located in the planet's equator. This fortification also serves as the human population's only safe place to live, for going outside of its walls means death. The astartes remain inside their bulwark building most of the time, either making military exercises or patrolling its outer walls to assure no predator tries to attack their servitors.
There are also minor settlements around the planet, mostly mining facilities and food production farms. Factories are located solely in the Titan's stronghold, for the machines working sounds attract a multitude of beasts that would wipe out lesser fortifications.
