The Sigma Aons are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes originally created during the mysterious 13th Founding, known as the mysterious 'Dark Founding', from uncertain genetic lineage. Unlike other Astartes Chapters, the Sigma Aons are unusual as they maintain two Chapter Masters at the same time. The effect this had upon its unusual Chapter hierarchy remains unknown.
Chapter History
A Sigma Aons Primaris Intercessor in the heat of battle.
This is a reported summary of the Space Marine Chapter, the Sigma Aons, their history, culture, recruitment and discussion of their twinned command of their Chapter Master, Gran Hunter Adolfo Firelung and their Chapter Champion, Hunter Champion Asgik the Wolf. Having been created from the little known 13th 'Dark Founding' as a response to the Chaos Warband, Oracles of the Damned having made it to the system. The Sigma Aons have been perfecting their techniques through combat. Currently lead by Gran Hunter Adolfo Firelung. The Aons have been a defensive and counter-offensive against Imperium's enemies. The chapter has been protecting that System from several threats occuring, unable to assist the larger Imperium with much until the latest Crusade by Abadon, in which they had lost two hundred marines against a reinforced and returned Thrallur. It should be noted that while the Chapter has reported and could be seen with weaponry and even a ship, they were thought to have been lost since the God-Emperor's Ascension.
Notable Campaigns
The Sigma Aons have had some compaigns that have been noted, they'll be listed below:
- Aon's Prey (Circa early 200.003.M32)The initial campaign following their creation, Lead by the first Gran Hunter Valrik Kjarlnik against the Chaos Warband Oracles of the Damned, lead by Thrallur Heartgrinder, which resulted in victory, although the death of Thrallur is suspected but unconfirmed even as to this day.
- Discovery of Lanxium Probati (Circa 400.006.M32) This wasn't much of a Campaign as it was a reported discovery, following the tailend of the previous Campaign against Oracles of the Damned, although this report is in contention of older Aon rumors that it had arrived with the unruly company lead by Valrik Kjarlnik.
- Defense against Garhakh (Circa 300.001.M33) The Sigma Aons, once again lead by Valrik, had a defensive and subsequent offensive campaign against the foul xeno Ork Warboss Garhakh Judzark, who entered the system on the far planet of Attax Minor and conquered both Attax Minor and the following planet Attax Major, although his death on Attax Major was origianally believed along with the known death of Gran Hunter Valrik, but Garhakh has been reported to have returned three consequetive times leading up to the expansion of the the Eye of Terror.
Chapter Home World
The Aons recruit from their homeworld of the feral Jungle World of Tephek, and Hive World Canid One, though their reasoning seems to suit with their organization.
Fortress-Monastery
The Chapter's fortress-monastery, The Sacred Stone, is on the planet Tephek itself, while there are outposts set up on Canid One and Attax Major. Upon visiting The Sacred Stone, it is clear that they've honored previous Chapter Masters and Champions the most.
Chapter Organisation
It is clear that the Chapter's Organisation is Divergent from the Codex Astartes. It's unclear how they organize their companies but it shall be reported to have five companies. Their first Company comprises of Terminator and Assault squads, while their Second and Third companies are comprised of their tactical, supperression and atillery squads as their neophytes and scouts comprise of the Fourth company. The reported but rarely Fifth company, whose presence hasn't been fully seen since the campaign against Garhakh Judzark is apparently suspected to have librarians and Apothecaries, although they'll send some to tend to the worlds as healers and recruiters and Squad support when considering the Chapter's Librarian psykers.

The Sigma Aons' seem to follow the flexiblilty of the doctrines of the Codex, though this could also be a result of the mixed recruitment from their Hive world and Feral Worlds.

It is to be recorded that issuing a refusal seems to have brought dishonor as the Champions have been victors before becoming a Sigma Aon.
Canidian Selection and Trials
These Trials seem to be tests of each candidate, either by how they fire or by their own combat prowess. Each trial is overseen by one of the Hunter Guards, Most of the cambat trials, the candidates are told that their duels are to the death so that only the strongest survives during this process,
