"In the Khan, we follow
For the Emperor, we fight
In the brotherhood, we trust
In battle, we die
we shall OVERCOME!
"
—The Phantom Prophets' battle cry echoes across the war-torn field, igniting their fury.

The Phantom Prophets, more commonly known as "Kings of Judgement," are an ancient and stoic Successor Chapter of the savage White Scars Legion. Hailing from the distant 2nd Founding, the Phantom Prophets now tread a path of redemption, seeking forgiveness from their "God-Primarch" Jaghatai Khan: every marine of the Chapter considers himself dishonoured and shamed, and only in death can their sins and crimes they've committed be erased, in the eyes of the Primarch.

Their tactics are as merciless as they are effective, employing extermination strikes and devastating firepower to overwhelm their foes with surgical precision. Yet, it is not just their skill in warfare that instills fear in the hearts of their enemies, but rather their mastery of the blade and infiltration into the enemy's base, hunting and exterminating the enemies of the Emperor in the blackest of shadows. Though they are not mere warriors, they are heralds of punishment, agents of the Emperor's will, whose very presence heralds the downfall of those who dare challenge the Imperium. Their raging battle-cry echoes across the void, a chilling reminder to all who oppose them that death is but a fleeting illusion in the face of their inexorable wrath.

Origins

"Men of the Khan, through redemption shall you find solemn peace, even if it meant death was at your grave waiting, patiently."
Captain Xur-Yi Akuma before being sacirficed in the Shinsei-ka ceremony back in Kingdom of Hujako, ca. 241.M33.
PP Xur-Yi Akuma

White Scars 25th Captain Xur-Yi Akuma "The Destroyer", The Founding Father of the Phantom Prophets, during the Great Crusade before the Vth Primarch was found by the Emperor Of Mankind.

The Phantom Prophets, a proud chapter born from the Vth Legion ("White Scars"), can trace back their history to the glorious times of the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy, though despite some imperial information regarding their origins having been expunged, they were always present in time's darkest hour, even if when the Great Khan, Jaghatai Khan, was found and took command of the Vth Legion to reestablish order and bring solemn honour to his savage Legion. Amongst the marines, there existed a man with a will of contempt so strong that he could pierce through the toughest of leaders: Xur-Yi Akuma, the so-called "The Destroyer," was the Terran-Born Company Captain of the 25th Company of the savage White Scars Legion, "The White Conquerors." This particular group of White Scars space marines were shock troopers that utilized shock assualt from Drop Pods, heavy weapons, and vehicles to annihilate their foes in the most destructive ways possible, a fighting style that was rarely uncommon amongst the Sons of Jaghatai. Therefore, the leadership and skills to command a company of space marines lay heavy on the broadest shoulders of Xur-Yi Akuma, a man whose idea for the legion's future was far from perfection, as he's responsible for the stability and commanding of his company, either mentally or physically. Despite being Captain of the Vth Legion, Xur-Yi Akuma was also a veteran of the Unification Wars that served to expurgate the Techno-Barbarians from old Terra to bring about the newly-built Imperium of Mankind.

Although every Captain of the Space Marines is a leader of responsibility and duty, they are still flawed commanders and are prone to either die in the battlefield or advice an unethical strategy to ensure a victorious stand. Xur-Yi Akuma has served for countless centuries and earned victories that lesser men would call unwinnable. However, during one of his campaigns that occurred somewhere in M30, the 538th Expedition Fleet was dispatched to bring a rebellious War-World by the name of Barbilus, located in the sector of Jericho Reach. The fleet was boarded with companies (named Brotherhoods) from the Vth Legion, including Xur-Yi Akuma himself with his own battalion of Battle-Brothers, Terminators, and Veterans that mapped out the needed numbers for their assault of the planet, a Solar Auxilia from the 705th Cohort Regiment of "Solar Heralds," and a dozen Imperial Knights being boarded to face the War-World.

During the conflict, the tide of the battle was nothing but slow progress to achieve Imperial Compliance with the War-World, with minimum casualties from both side suffering, Xur-Yi Akuma, while preparing for the heavy artillery to arrive, initiated an order to raid the armoury of the War-World to salvage and find any weaponry they can use to demolish the walls of the tainted kingdom of Barbilus.

Unfortunately, due to how little information the Fleet garnered about agriculture and technological advancements in the world, the weapons in the barricaded halls of the kingdom's armoury the Space Marines got to possess were meant to be too lethal and dangerous to use against their foes, as the weapons were constructed to use the life of any lifeform, if contacted, as ammunition for its bullets, draining the lifeform's life little by little until they became a shell of a husk of who they are. Unbeknownst to Xur-Yi Akuma, his company has encountered many losses due to overusing the lethal bio-weapons, sabotaging the opportunity of receiving the heavy artillery. With the numbers of the 25th Brotherhood starting to collapse, the Captain was faced with challenges and difficulty keeping his brothers from dying. Even going as far as ending the life of one of his loyal lieutenants who was being drained by the very inch of his life to death, With the remaining fleets having to call on for further reinforcements.

The captain, although weary and suffering from major wounds, continued to fight against the odds despite losing half of his battalion company. The tide of the battle, albeit was a grueling 45-hour strike mission, closed in the favour of the Imperial forces by decimating the fortress walls of the kingdom and bringing the ruler of the planet to submission of will. However, this sweet achievement wasnt long-lasting without a price to pay, having to suffer the horrific casualties from the sides of the Solar Auxilia, Knight Houses and remains of the Legion Astartes.

Although victory was certain in the hands of the Imperial forces, the aftermath didn't come without the shame and blame of Xur-Yi Akuma's deranged issuing the order of seizing heretical creations in the wrong hands. It was uncommon in the sons of the Khan to have been shamed or misunderstood, but for Xur's case, it wasn't far from the truth. Upon hearing the records of the battle, having to be stripped off his rank as the 25th Captain of his deceased company, Xur-Yi Akuma was left with two choices: either die in the hands of the prosecuters to be cleansed of his sins or be given another chance in service. Xur-Yi Akuma was a mere legend in the eyes of his peers but a coward he wasn't. Swearing a vow to never stray off from the path of honour, the former captain submitted his will and his weapons to the Armoury of the Vth Legion to take on a new lead in the Legion's ranks.

Redemption In War
Xur Yi Akuma EK

Xur-Yi Akuma, The Destroyer Of Worlds, during his time as an Ebon Keshig before ascending to Keshig, his ascension came shortly before the years of the Horus Heresy commenced.

Although the events of the campaign were in time's past for now, Xur-Yi Akuma was committed with a will of steel to seek redemption and honour in battle. Now viewed as nothing more than a starving hound and looking down upon his peers, the former captain held no grudge nor feelings of negligence for his dishonourable acts; instead, the captain vowed to never back down from the path of honour and redeem himself, In the fresher ranks of the Ebon Keshigs, Xur-Yi was assigned to the rank of the Ebon Keshig, which served as a ritual post of atonement and redemption for sins and breaches of honour. With the Great Crusade in full effect, Xur-Yi became a mere legend amongst the ranks of the Keshig, engaging in battle with utter devotion and a chance of redemption, even after being seen as a former shamed captain. In the midst of battles, the challenges that a singular Ebon Keshig would be facing are rather average during combat, but for the former captain, it was rather a rank to destroy the enemies of mankind with deep hatred and unfathomable rage. Xur's commitment has earned him to serve the Ebon Keshig way longer than any marine; whenever a devastating battle crashes in the tide of the battlefield, it would be Xur-Yi Akuma's own determination to execute and annihilate the enemy's leader in a matter of bloodbath. Throughout his troubled service in the Ebon Keshig, this unshakable resolve continued to serve in Xur's own favour for a while, bearing many scars and wounds that would've fallen a regular space marine. bears the bloodstains of countless enemies on his weapons—a silent testament to his relentless crusade.

His armor, as black as the void itself, absorbs all light, rendering him a shadow amidst the chaos of war. This visual manifestation of death incarnate mirrors his soul—a reaper on the battlefield, hunting down those who dare oppose the will of Mankind. For years, Akuma fought without rest, his name whispered in fear by his foes and revered in silence by his allies. Through each battle, he gained experience not just as a warrior but as a former captain, earning a deeper understanding of both the price of war and the weight of command. His relentless journey of bloodshed continued without pause or hesitation, striking down all who crossed his path on the battlefield—whether alien, heretic, or mutant. All would feel the sharp bite of his blade, soaked in the blood of countless foes. After centuries of service in the Ebon Keshig, he rose to the esteemed rank of Keshig, earned through decades of slaughter and redemption through his own actions. Despite the honor associated with the rank, Akuma found no satisfaction in it, as his restless nature sought something more. As the Destroyer, he remained steadfast in his duty, protecting the Khan from all threats and eradicating anyone who opposed the White Scars. Yet, even with his elevated status, this miracle of survival could not last—neither for Akuma nor for his companions.

The Heresy

Horus Lupercal, Primarch of the Sons Of Horus, previously known as Luna Wolves, initiated the galaxy-wide campaign known as the Horus Heresy. Many of the Legions started opposing each other and the Imperium was descending into the time of darkness. Many of the Loyalist Legions sided together to push back the the traitors from claiming Terra; that would include the White Scars facing against the forces of Chaos. With such forces aligning themselves with Chaos for greater power, it was in the right of Xur-Yi Akuma to innact justice on those who have betrayed the Emperor's path and cowardly sought to destory the Imperium.

When the Horus Heresy erupted, Xur-Yi Akuma's elevation to the esteemed rank of Keshig became his ultimate opportunity for redemption through battle. Bearing the honor and burden of his new rank, he threw himself into combat, leading the charge against the Traitor Legions. He sought out enemy leaders with unrelenting fury, becoming a figure of darkness that preyed upon those who had betrayed humanity. Akuma wielded not only his own weapons but those taken from fallen foes, turning them against the oppressors of mankind. This brutal efficiency made him both feared and revered; even among his White Scars brethren, there were whispers of concern that his relentless nature might consume him. Yet each time, Akuma proved his resilience, striking back with greater power, banishing any doubt of his resolve.

As the Imperium struggled in the Age of Darkness, Akuma led the Bodyguard Keshigs in a fierce stand against the Death Guard’s assault during the Second Battle Of Prospero, standing firm even when his Primarch could not be seen on the battlefield. Akuma's unwavering loyalty and iron will kept him from succumbing to the corrupting whispers of Chaos, grounding him in his duty to defend the holy land of Terra. He became a terrifying force to the Traitors, his strikes a testament to his dedication, a weapon forged in darkness yet wielded in service of the Emperor. Akuma's journey was not merely survival—it was a crusade to cleanse Terra’s sacred ground, driving the heretical legions back and securing the Imperium’s future.

Even though the Loyalist elements have been driving back the Traitors, Xur-Yi AKuma was suffering from so many wounds that the Legion instructed the Keshig to surrender. Stubborn as he is, the Destroyer upheld the struggle for honour and decimated numbers in a matter of hours. With the support of lesser forces being aided with the Adeptus Astartes, with such forces that were strong enough in numbers to push back the traitors, their unrelenting pursuit of the overtaking Terra ended up reaching the land of Holy Terra, prompting the Loyalists to defend the Imperial Palace Walls of Terra.

Sacrifice and Salvation

As the Siege of Terra raged on, the Traitor forces relentlessly pressed their attack, pushing closer to breaching the gates of Holy Terra and storming the Imperial Palace. With time slipping away and the Warmaster of Chaos, Horus Lupercal, growing impatient, he issued a direct challenge to the Emperor of Mankind, opening the gates of his flagship, the Vengeful Spirit, for a final confrontation. Loyalist forces boarded the ship to confront the Warmaster, and among them was Xur-Yi Akuma, who followed his beloved Emperor into the fray, determined to understand the intentions of the traitors. Amid the brutal combat between the traitor Sons of Horus and the Imperial Fists, Xur-Yi found himself fighting against his former brothers in the Sons of Horus, even managing to bring down notable members of the elite 1st Grand Justaerin Terminators. His resolve, burning ever brighter in loyalty to the Emperor and his Primarch, fueled his efforts.

But a tragic twist awaited every Space Marine aboard the flagship. Just as victory seemed within reach, the Emperor sacrificed himself to obliterate Horus, saving humanity but leaving his own body grievously wounded and crippled. Witnessing this heartbreaking duel, Xur-Yi Akuma saw the Emperor, his idol and guiding light, broken and defeated—a memory that would scar him forever. The Master of Mankind, once the very symbol of Akuma’s redemption, now lay shattered and diminished. This loss ignited a seething fury within Akuma, filling him with an unrelenting thirst for vengeance against those who had defiled the Imperium's ideals. Returning to Terra, Akuma could not endure the sorrow and destruction left in the wake of the Emperor’s fall. Alongside a small band of loyal warriors from the Keshig, he boarded a warship and vanished into self-imposed exile, seeking a refuge for his fractured spirit.

Imperial records later revealed that Xur-Yi Akuma found sanctuary on the remote world of Syraos VI, within the enigmatic Kingdom of Hujako. In this secluded realm, he waited out the end of the Horus Heresy, a solitary warrior, clinging to the remnants of his shattered faith. Syraos VI became his place of exile, far from the Imperium he had once sworn to defend.

Rebirth Of The Lost Prophet

After the conclusion of the galactic civil war, the Great Scouring that was prepared from the Imperium to kill and banish any traitors to the Eye Of Terror, the Imperium was in great shambles after the cataclysmic war. With the Emperor of Mankind being interred in the Golden Throne to power the Astronomicon, the Legions of the Space Marines have been obliged to be sundered from ten of thousands of marines to no more than a thousand numbered-units called Chapters, this sundering of legions was shared to the all 9 loyalist legions, that included the White Scars Legion.

The remaining of the Pioneer Companies, including the Brotherhood companies from the White Scars ended up becoming little more than Successors of their progenitor Legion, and one of these Successors are the Phantom Prophets; a remnant of the 25th Company "The White Conquerors" that was led by the former Captain Xur-Yi Akuma during the Horus Heresy. Even though the Phantom Prophets was founded during the beginning of the 2nd Founding, their status as a Chapter remained puzzled due to their Command officers didnt have no Chapter Master, the old veterans of war happen to extract information on the whereabouts of Xur-Yi Akuma, their former Captain of the White Scars.

To find the current stay of the former Captain was a long and tedious search, a single navy imperialis, imperial guard and dozen of space marines ventured out to the space in order to find the former Captain. With a total of 4 and half months being wasted sailing in the wide ocean of space, after some time travelling through dozens and dozens of planets, a signal alerts the cruising members aboard their Grand Cruisers of a detection signal on a swampy planet with such high humid from low orbit.

Upon arriving to the planet's surface, it is primarily run by the clan tribes of the planet as well as habitants for other swamp animals that call their place home. With the forces of the Imperium scouring the environment in search of Xur-Yi Akuma, given how the clan tribes welcome the unexpected visitors landing on their homeplanet, the navy army decided to ask the foreigners of a man known as Xur-Yi Akuma, the tribal people pointed to the navy army to find the "silent temples" that is hidden far in the jungles in which near the temples reside a large fortress within a certain kingdom, the imperial forces marched their way to the headquarters until they were met with the guards of the Kingdom, demanding to let through the gate, the guards have issued the command of letting the inner guards of the kingdom to assist their situation.

However, in one of those guards, they looked familiar with their set of armour, not only the set of armour but their stature was fitted for an Astartes, their scars were plenty as their face was edged with death, eyes as hollow as the void with their demeanour evermore stoic than before, as such the imperial forces have successfully tracked down Xur-Yi Akuma's mainstay, with the former captain ever having mere flashbacks of witnessing his own brothers in war trying to defend their home in Terra.

With the imperial forces demanding their former captain to sunder his position and bring himself back to the fold of the Imperium, Xur-Yi Akuma, now riddled with age and wisdom, bows before them as he takes up to arms with his long-missed brothers and the cadre of Keshig forces that was with the Navy Imperialis. As many of his brothers welcomed him back to the fold, the forces issued a command for the following forces to uphold the Successor chapter their sacred leader to be customed to the rank of 1st Chapter Master, given both weapons and armaments for the new role of the Chapter, Xur-Yi Akuma's once-lost determination was birthed within the fold of his newely forged chapter: the Phantom Prophets.
PP History

Following the 2nd Founding during the Age Of Rebirth, the many-pioneer companies of the White Scars, as many such as The White Conquerors, have been splintered into 1,000-numbered chapters at the conclusion of the Horus Heresy, with the Phantom Prophets having to adopt the newely changed scheme of their past Terran culture and embrace their welcomed culture from Syraos VI. Note: From Left to Right: 1st: 25th Pioneer Company "The White Conquerors" (Pre-Great Crusade), 2nd: 25th Pioneer Company "The White Conquerors" (Post-Heresy), 3rd: Phantom Prophets 2nd Clan ("Generals Of Hope") of the 12th Saikyou (Veteran), (Post-2nd Founding).

Death's Redeemer

After the ascension of the former Captain to the honours of the Chapter Master, the Phantom Prophets have conducted campaigns in the name of their "God-Primarch" and the Emperor Of Mankind, with their Chapter Master (under the rank of Dei Hakaisha) Xur-Yi Akuma commanding his proud chapter to war, earning many glories and deeds throughout their decades of service.

The beginning of their campaigns, organized rather in "Penitent Campaigns" as a way to serve the Imperium, in order for one day their God-Primarch Jaghatai Khan would forgive them in life and death, offering up their lives and their dedication of mastery in the works of their Primarch in order to be the judgers of the evil, the bane of his rage and the edge of his blade. Though the Phantom Prophets' resolve in these campaigns are dangerous and fanatically worse than any other campaigns, prompting to wage wars in systems deemed too dangerous for these Sons of the Khan to be staking their lives in service for the Emperor of Mankind.

In many campaigns being waged, Xur-Yi Akuma was crippled with age and woe from his past life as a Keshig and this crippling disease has taken a toll on the sanity and physical prowess of the tired, old leader. Even though much of his crippling state continues to ravage whatever remains of his strength, the old leader continues to fight with sheer willpower to ensure the survival of his brothers and the Chapter. However, this thought would be the last thing that Xur-Yi Akuma would be thinking till the day of his grave.

The Chapter Master would meet his tragical end in the hands of Chaos Space Marines of the "Soulless Reapers" warband during the War Of The Silent Kings of Darkness, this war brought in many imperial forces, such as other cousin Space Marine Chapters and the Solar Auxillia, to aid in the cause of the Phantom Prophets in protecting the area from either being influenced by chaos or be tainted by it. This death has caused many woe and misery for the Phantom Prophets to witness their old veteran lay down his life in order to protect the world and its people from the Ruinious Powers of Chaos.

In such traditions, the Phantom Prophets agreed to travel to the system of Syraos VI in order to conduct a burial ceremony for the poor soul to rest eternally and take his place next to the Master of Mankind. Furthermore, this sacrifice for the safety of humanity has embarked a spark with the brothers of Phantom Prophets to swear upon their blades that the life of a brother is as sacred as Holy Terra and that they'll never taste the flavours of defeat upon their lips, further blazing motivation within the hearts of the brothers and innacting determination in order to seek guidance from their Long-lost "God-Primarch" and may they truly be forgiven one day for their actions.

The Great Ravage

Somewhere between M32 and M34, the Phantom Prophets, having being led by another Dai Hakaisha after their predecessor has perished, though a chapter burdened by their tragic loss of previous of Xur-Yi Akuma and occupying their role as the defenders of humanity, though these emotions were only supressed by the idea of their newely assigned Dai Hakaisha to assign themselves for the greater task: for only the Prophets of this Chapter shall enact the crusading term of "The Great Ravage" to further spread their essence in the galaxy and destroy any and all race that is deemed too dangerous or unworthy to be living in the galaxy.

This tradition has continued with their ravage for as long as the Prophets had air to breathe from their lungs, decimating entire worlds and populations worth of heretics and unworthy divisions that would threaten humanity and Terra itself, only would the Phantom Prophets would know that judgement can be achieved if the foe itself was worthy enough to be not crushed by their outstanding might. However, many planets and worlds would reject the law of the Prophets and their agenda, prompting them to be the next world to be on the list of the Prophets' own destruction.

Following their procedure of enacting justice across the fringes of the galaxy, the Phantom Prophets' main conflictions would be surronding around the corners of the dangerous Segmentums, mainly the Segmentum Obscurus and Segmentum Pacificus further away from the Emperor's own light to be shined in the far reaches of the galaxy, where these mundane and dangerous are initiated under no scrutiny of the Imperium for in these campaigns are rather dangerous and only the most tempered and will-strong Astartes can take on these challenges if they ever wanted to seek guidance from their long-lost Primarch.

The Abyss Consumes

The invasion of Syraos VI, the homeworld of the Phantom Prophets, commenced when the Iron Marauders, a warband of the Iron Warriors, entered the system and launched an assault on the planet. Using drop pods and Thunderhawks to deploy their forces, the traitors descended upon the surface, targeting the kingdom gates of Yomato near the Phantom Prophets' Fortress-Monastery.

Alerted to the attack, the Phantom Prophets swiftly mobilized their forces, preparing to defend their sacred homeworld. The Iron Marauders’ siege tactics and methods of attrition became pivotal in their efforts to dismantle the Prophets’ defenses, forcing the chapter to divide their forces into numerous Keshans (Squads) to counter the traitors and delay the advance. Drawing warriors from the 1st, 4th, and 8th Clans, the Phantom Prophets mounted a desperate defense of the Fortress-Monastery, fighting fiercely to prevent its fall.

As the battle raged on and both sides suffered heavy losses, the sheer firepower and artillery of the Phantom Prophets ultimately overwhelmed the invaders, forcing the Iron Marauders to retreat in defeat. Despite their victory, the chapter bore deep scars from the battle, cementing a bitter enmity between the Phantom Prophets and the Iron Marauders, a hatred destined to ignite future confrontations.

The petty strike of the Iron Marauders Warband in a nearby sector of the Phantom Prophet's homeworld threatened other planets. It was the job of the Phantom Prophets to initiate a counter-assault for the Iron Marauders and push them back out of the system. When the Iron Marauders entered the system, the Phantom Prophets, albeit in the stages of recruiting more of their numbers than before, utilized their void crafts and space engines to take the fight using only void tactics and strategies.

Upon seeing the fleet of the Iron Marauders' flagship, Adrestia, the Phantom Prophets, with their Void-Hardened marines of the Yamakudaki, breached the vessel of the Iron Marauders via their destructible Caestus Assault Rams and took the fight to the Iron Marauder legionnaires aboard the flagship, slaughtering and opening ways for the Phantom Prophets to pursue their mission. Though their forces would be halted by the huge bodies of bodyguard of Tharaxx's, the Chained Tyrants, their insurmountable Terminator armour and weaponry began initiating the assault of the Breacher Keshans of Yamakudaki, purging and relentlessly executing any marine in their way, with their Warsmith Tharaxx wanting to confront the Chapter Master of the Phantom Prophets personally in a duel.

Much of their numbers fell before their respected Kýoshus, instructing the ship mistress of the Phantom Prophets' Flagship to steer off the remaining fleets of the Adrestia and remain a standpoint if the fight got too dicey. The Chapter Master Nubundo returned with much of his wounded brethren to the battle barge, escaping the Ardestia and deploying on the other vessels of the Iron Marauders, the Phantom Prophets, with each of them having their respective captains and members of the Keigoban piloting it, ended up forcefully crashing the vessels into the void shields of the Ardestia of the Iron Marauders.

An act of defiance that purely enraged the Warsmith, demanding a full-on retreat from the battlefield, in which the Phantom Prophets exited the enemy vessels and destroyed them before returning to their home system, ever establishing peace and prosperity in the space system.

The Phantom Prophets, after years of relentless crusading, grew weary and depleted, burdened by the weight of their ancient misdeeds. With their most revered veterans bearing the scars of countless wars and their younger brethren struggling to keep pace, the Chapter's resolve began to falter, inching ever closer to ruin.

Following a grueling Ork campaign in 623.M36, Chapter Master Gharn Sal ordered a retreat to their Fortress Monastery in the Kingdom of Hujako on Syraos VI, hoping to recover and rebuild their diminished strength. Yet, this withdrawal marked the beginning of their greatest tragedy.

Their ancient nemesis, the Iron Marauders, seized the opportunity to strike, unleashing a devastating Chaos assault upon Syraos VI. The Iron Marauders deployed their full might, including daemonic war engines like Obliterators, Heldrakes, Forgefiends, and Maulerfiends, to ravage the sacred lands of Hujako. Enraged by the desecration, the Phantom Prophets launched their remaining forces in a desperate bid to repel the invaders.

Despite their valor, the overwhelming tide of Chaos forces proved insurmountable. Forced to retreat, the Phantom Prophets watched in anguish as their beloved homeworld was torn apart and obliterated. The destruction of Syraos VI left an indelible scar on the Chapter, its loss a wound that would forever haunt their hearts and shape their destiny.

Emberfall War

The death world of Decimian, a forsaken planet known to its few survivors as the Endless Nightmare, faced an assault from an unknown xenos subspecies, a strange and terrifying enemy unlike anything encountered by the Imperium.

Nestled deep within the Ghoul Stars, a region where light could barely penetrate and shadows consumed everything, Decimian was cloaked in a perpetual shroud of darkness. The planet's unique environment was hostile to life, yet it had become the breeding ground for an unimaginable terror—a dark and voracious race capable of absorbing the very essence of light.

These creatures, once hidden in the eternal gloom, were now pushing outward, ever stronger and more deadly as they consumed everything in their path.

The creatures' ability to absorb and grow in power by absorbing the darkness around them made them formidable opponents. As they expanded their influence over Decimian’s surface, they began to grow larger and more monstrous, making them terrifyingly difficult to defeat. No known records of such creatures had been encountered before, leaving the Imperium in an uncharted territory, unprepared for the threat that lurked beneath Decimian’s dark skies.

The planet’s mysterious inhabitants were drawing closer to the inhabited sectors of the Ghoul Stars, a threat that the Imperium could not allow to fester.

The Imperial Navy, stationed 450 kilometers away from Decimian, was the first to notice the strange disturbances emanating from the planet. In desperation, they called upon nearby Imperial forces to investigate.

Among them were the Phantom Prophets, a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter, and the controversial Destroyers of Worlds, a successor chapter of the White Scars, known for their savage tactics and reckless methods. These two chapters were tasked with uncovering the truth of the threat on Decimian and quelling the danger to the Imperium’s domain.

As the Loyalist forces, including the Phantom Prophets and the Destroyers of Worlds, descended upon Decimian, they were greeted by an environment unlike anything they had ever faced. The planet was engulfed in an impenetrable blackness that seemed to consume all light, as though the very air itself carried the weight of the void.

The world was alive with movement, as strange creatures—flickering shadows and amorphous tendrils—seemed to grow and twist with the dark, their size expanding as they absorbed the very darkness around them. For the Imperial forces, stepping into the heart of this nightmare was a monumental challenge.

The Imperial Navy had already deployed dozens of Legio Titans to the surface in an attempt to curb the growing threat. From low orbit, the Imperial Navy’s firepower appeared as tiny pinpricks of light, glimmering faintly through the dense clouds of shadow that enveloped the planet. The Titans’ mighty guns shook the world, but the vast, impenetrable darkness of Decimian seemed to swallow every shot, their massive cannons firing into nothingness. The distant glow of the Titans’ weapons did little to provide solace to the Imperial forces below.

With the Titans’ artillery softening the enemy's defenses, the Phantom Prophets and the Destroyers of Worlds made their descent, entering the battlefield. However, their arrival was not marked by fanfare or glory—only the cold weight of a challenge. The planet’s eternal gloom proved advantageous for the Phantom Prophets.

Thanks to their gene-seed enhancements, they were uniquely adapted to fight in such conditions, allowing them to navigate and engage in combat with greater ease than their battle-brothers. With their enhanced vision and the burning light of their loyalty to the Emperor, they plunged into the depths of darkness, setting their sights on the unknown enemy.

The battle on Decimian was unlike any the Phantom Prophets had faced before. The enemy, a grotesque and nameless xenos race, seemed to be composed of dark tendrils, almost sentient in nature, reaching out to swallow everything in their path.

These creatures, in their twisted forms, seemed to grow ever more powerful as the battle raged on. They absorbed the very light and energy that came into contact with them, becoming stronger and more monstrous as the fight wore on.

The Phantom Prophets and their warriors from the 4th, 7th, and 8th Clans launched a savage assault against the xenos, purging the creatures with relentless ferocity. The Titans that stood among them, their firepower devastatingly accurate in the hands of the Phantom Prophets, acted as both shields and weapons, cutting down swarms of the xenos while the Space Marines themselves engaged in brutal close combat.

Every tendril of the xenos that threatened the Imperial lines was swiftly executed, purged in the name of the Emperor. But despite their resolve, the battle grew more treacherous with each passing hour.

However, not all was seamless on the battlefield. The Destroyers of Worlds, though powerful in their own right, employed reckless tactics that endangered the very war machines they had come to rely upon. In their zeal, they nearly caused the collapse of one of the Legio Titan forces, endangering the lives of countless Marines and risking the failure of the entire mission.

The Phantom Prophets, while focused on their own task, found themselves wary of the Destroyers of Worlds, questioning their motives and judgment in battle. Though they shared a lineage, their methods differed greatly, and this episode only deepened the Phantom Prophets' suspicions.

Despite the setback, the battle pressed on. The Phantom Prophets, known for their tenacity and strategic brilliance, eventually overwhelmed the xenos forces. The last of the creatures were eradicated, their twisted bodies purged from the surface of Decimian.

Yet, the victory was bittersweet. The Phantom Prophets were scarred by the horrors they had witnessed, and their trust in the Destroyers of Worlds was fractured. The seeds of doubt had been sown, and the Chapter’s bond with the White Scars successor chapter had been irrevocably strained.

The Tide Before The Crash

The Phantom Prophets had been ordered by the High Lords of Terra to protect Cadia from the Chaos incursions during the 13th Black Crusade, a brutal and large-scale campaign launched by Abaddon the Despoiler to weaken the Imperium and drain its resolve. Leading the Chapter into this fight was Saghigo Goghai, the current Dai Hakaisha (Chapter Master), accompanied by his trusted equerry, Ghort-Xia'ghu, and his personal serf, Hana. As the Phantom Prophets arrived on Cadia, they were supported by dozens of Imperial Guard regiments that helped dock their fleets and secure the area.

The command was clear: the forces of Chaos must be stopped at all costs. Saghigo immediately split his forces into three distinct branches, ordering tanks and aerial support to obliterate the enemy. However, the Chaos forces were far from ordinary, and their war machines—blasphemous Daemon Engines—ripped through the Prophets' tanks with ease. In response, Saghigo called for a massive bombardment to divert the enemy's attention from the deployment of the Chapter's Venerable Dreadnought. With the ancient war machine finally on the field, the charge began. Saghigo led his marines into the fray, bellowing oaths of vengeance as they rushed toward the enemy in a battle of overwhelming fury.

Among the Prophets was Ghort-Xia'ghu, an equerry with centuries of service under his belt. Having fought against two Chaos Lords from the Night Lords and Iron Warriors, he was no stranger to battle. However, as the battle raged, Saghigo found himself torn between leading his Chapter or rushing to protect his old friend. The decision was made for him. In an instant, Ghort-Xia'ghu was cleaved in two by the Night Lord's blade, his head taken in a single stroke. Saghigo witnessed his equerry’s lifeless body fall to the ground before his enemies. Consumed by anger and sorrow, Saghigo roared in fury, cutting down every Chaos Space Marine in his path. His vengeance was swift, and when the last of his foes fell, he threw a grenade to incinerate their bodies, erasing them from the battlefield.

Tears threatened to spill as he gazed at the body of his fallen friend, but Saghigo held them back, ordering his nearby Apothecaries to retrieve Ghort-Xia'ghu’s body for burial. With his heart filled with grief and rage, Saghigo returned to his marines, his anger growing with every passing moment. To him, every Chaos Space Marine now seemed nothing more than meat to be discarded. The fury within him drove him forward as he charged again, accompanied by his Chapter Champion, Musashi Goharo Yi, who saw the instability in his Chapter Master’s eyes. The once-disciplined leader was now a beast in the midst of war.

As the battle continued to escalate, Saghigo fought relentlessly, pushing back wave after wave of Chaos forces. But then, a bolt pistol shot rang out, striking him in the chest. Saghigo staggered but refused to fall. He looked up to see a dozen Chaos Lords closing in, their eyes locked on him as they moved in for the kill. Helplessly, he watched as his marines were slaughtered one by one, their deaths a grim reminder of how far the enemy had pushed them.

In the chaos, Hana, his loyal serf, charged forward, desperate to help her master. She fired a shot at one of the Chaos Lords, but it missed. Before Saghigo could react, Hana was captured, her body violently ripped in half. Her lower half dangled from the hands of the Chaos Lords, her screams echoing in Saghigo's ears. His world shattered, Saghigo’s fury reached an unimaginable peak. Freeing himself from the Chaos Lords' hold, he grabbed a chainsword and began to cut through them one by one, using their bodies as shields to block incoming fire. His madness, fueled by grief and rage, consumed him as he tore through his enemies. Having to decimate into three warbands in large size, Saghigo continued to cut through the swathe until every inch of blood covered the immaculate armour of his.

Finally, with a primal roar that could have been heard from orbit, Saghigo raised his bloodied hand to the sky. His voice, a vow of vengeance, echoed across the battlefield as he swore to never stop until the last of their kin lay dead at his feet. His mind was a storm of fury, but the will to avenge those he lost drove him onward—into the heart of the Chaos forces, where he would continue to fight until the very end.

Indomitus Crusade

With the battlefield reduced to smoldering ruins, Cadia had fallen to the unrelenting tide of Chaos. Ordered by his second-in-command, Kyosho, to retreat from the warzone, Chapter Master Saghigo Goghai struggled toward the extraction zone, his movements labored, his armor battered, and his body barely holding together. His Terminators, equally crippled by the brutal engagement, rallied to his side, dragging their wounded master toward the waiting Thunderhawk.

As the gunship’s doors sealed shut and the engines roared to life, Saghigo collapsed from exhaustion. Apothecaries rushed to his aid, their expressions grim as they assessed the severity of his wounds. Ju'kul Yashi, the Chapter’s chief apothecary, observed in silence before barking orders to the pilots—urgently directing them to make haste toward the battle barge. Upon docking, it became clear that Saghigo’s condition was dire. His wounds were grievous, his survival uncertain. The apothecaries fell into heated debate—should they preserve his life through suspended animation or recover his gene-seed and let him die with honor?

Ju'kul Yashi, resolute in his conviction, refused to let his master fall. Instead, he proposed a desperate gambit—one that would reshape the Chapter Master entirely. They would transform him into a Primaris Space Marine. With no time to deliberate, the apothecaries set to work, slicing open their master's flesh to implant the rare and sacred organs required for his ascension. Hours stretched into eternity as the surgeons labored, reforging Saghigo’s broken body into something greater.

Then, with a final surge of bio-electrical energy, Saghigo Goghai awoke. He roared in agony, his newly enhanced form writhing against the restraints. Ju'kul Yashi rushed to his side, his voice a mix of urgency and reverence as he tried to calm his master. Slowly, Saghigo’s breathing steadied. His mind, reforged along with his body, was now a vessel of renewed strength. He cast off the restraints, standing taller, stronger. Without hesitation, he commanded Ju'kul Yashi to the command center while he himself prepared to reclaim his armor—now reforged to match his new form.

At the command center, an urgent message awaited. The vox channels had been intercepted by nearby Ultramarine successor chapters—bearing news that would shake the very foundation of the Imperium. Roboute Guilliman had awakened. The Lord of Ultramar, long thought lost to time, had returned from his ten-thousand-year slumber. His Indomitus Crusade had begun, a holy march to reclaim the Imperium’s lost territories and drive back the darkness that threatened to consume it.

The Phantom Prophets erupted in celebration. To them, this was more than just a momentous event—it was a sign. If Guilliman had returned, could not Jaghatai Khan himself be next? With renewed fervor, the Chapter set course for Terra, determined to join the war against the encroaching forces of Chaos.

When they arrived, the Imperium was already besieged by traitors, the enemy swarming like a never-ending tide. Despite being heavily outnumbered, the resolve of the Phantom Prophets was unbreakable. Iron-willed and reforged in fire, they would not waver.

Standing at the vanguard, Saghigo Goghai took command, his new form a beacon of war incarnate. With a thunderous voice, he ordered his warriors into formation, their shields locked, their weapons primed. A living wall of fire and destruction, the Phantom Prophets surged forward, unleashing devastation upon the traitors.

The enemy brought their full force to bear—war engines, corrupted tanks, and monstrous daemons—but the Prophets did not falter. They believed. Their faith burned brighter than the fires of battle. They fought not only for Guilliman, not only for the Imperium—but for the hope that their own lost primarch, the Great Khan, would one day return and lead them to war once more.

And so, with steel in their hearts and fire in their souls, the Phantom Prophets waged war against the darkness—unyielding, unrelenting, and ever faithful to the Emperor's vision.

Primaris Brotherhood

PP Primaris Reinforcement

During the Indomitus Crusade, the Phantom Prophets would welcome the new brethren of the Primaris Space Marines to the ranks of their Chapter, further bolstering and rebuilding back what was lost in the past.

In the midst of brutal skirmishes, the Phantom Prophets surged forward, driving the traitor forces from the orbit of Holy Terra with unrelenting ferocity. No enemy that dared to stand against the fangs of the Chapter was spared, as bolter fire and blade reduced heretic lines to ruin. As the last echoes of battle faded, Dai Hakaisha Saghigo Goghai ordered a ceasefire—sensing something was coming.

From the heavens above, a grand and golden Crusade fleet descended, its sheer size casting vast shadows over the ruined landscape. The Phantom Prophets formed ranks, standing side by side in silence, unsure of what this immense fleet signified during such a time of upheaval. As the lead vessel’s gates opened, a procession of warriors clad in radiant golden armor stepped forward, their presence unmistakable.

They were Torchbearers—envoys of the Emperor’s will and guardians of the Imperial Palace itself. The Phantom Prophets dropped to one knee, honoring the Emperor’s chosen. But the Torchbearers halted them, commanding, “Rise, sons of Jaghatai. Your loyalty is proven. Accept the Primarch’s Gift.”

That gift was not words—but warriors.

From the holds of the Crusade fleet marched newly-forged Primaris Space Marines, each bearing the sigil of the Phantom Prophets upon their armor. Though their bodies were of the new breed, their oaths would be to the legacy of the old. The veterans of the Chapter watched in awe as these towering warriors joined their ranks, bolstering their depleted numbers and reigniting a spark long thought fading.

For the Phantom Prophets, it was nothing short of salvation. After millennia of attrition and silence, their cries had been heard. The Primarch’s Gift had not only brought strength—but hope.

With their ranks restored and their legacy reborn, the Phantom Prophets stood tall once more—ready to carry the Emperor’s light to the darkest corners of the galaxy.

Notable Campaigns[]

Throughout the time the Phantom Prophets have been campaigning and crusading ever since their founding at the conclusion of the Horus Heresy, their campaigns have been documented as being destructive and harrowing, with much of their numbers being large and dealing with either Tyranids, Chaos, Orks or Aeldari. Much of their campaigns are initiated with the help of other imperial forces, such as Titan Legio or other fellow Space Marine Chapters. Moreover, their history of being a Chapter with outstanding zeal has allowed them to wage more than 450 campaigns throughout their time of serving the Imperium. However, some of the notable campaigns written below are more difficult for the Phantom Prophets to ever achieve victory or ensure the cleansing of a specific target due to how dangerous these campaigns being conducted and majority of the Phantom Prophets' numbers have been depleted to less than 400 numbers and the campaign's whereabouts in the galaxy, with such places being used for their staging wars, such as the Segmentum Obscurus and Segmentum Tempestus. Up until the arrival of the Primaris reinforcements during the Indomitus Crusade, their numbers fully came back to full strength, capable of cooperating with no issues as their foces are many and their blood anew.

  • Coming Of Prophecy (0.14.M32) - The first and legendary campaign conducted by the Phantom Prophets after initiating their ultimate "The Great Ravage", this campaign was inducted by the Phantom Prophets to demolish enemies of Mankind, decimating klans of orks, warbands of Chaos Space Marines or the Drukhari. Furthermore, their wargear and equipment being given to them from their parent legion, the White Scars, the Phantom Prophets were given anything they can muster in order to establish their dominion in the galaxy. THough this campaign, despite being one massive campaign, it has extended to the further future crusades or campaigns that would end up become the priority of the Phantom Prophets to ennact their judgement upon the enemies of Mankind. Much of this recorded campaign was shrouded in mystery due to the Phantom Prophets' constant motion in destroying worlds, making it hard to conduct the history of this campaign that was waged in the name of the Emperor of Mankind.
AC PP Campaign

The Phantom Prophets facing against the treacherous warband of the Death Guard, Heralds of Pestilence. Though this campaign may have turned some favour for the Phantom Prophets only it managed to allow the Plague Marines to spread their disease and damn the planet into full chaos corruption.

  • Abomination Cleansing (Unspecified Date.M32) - Following the protocol of The Great Ravage, the Phantom Prophets arrived on the feudal world of Taraous V, located in the Kota II System within the Segmentum Tempestus, a world on the brink of damnation due to the chaos cultists worshipping Nurgle and summoning daemons to spread his influence, prompting the Phantom Prophets to deploy five Clan Companies to purge the Nurgle infestation and preserve the planet’s remaining resources and population from the corrupting taint of Chaos, while maintaining communication with the planetary governor Mikarl Yiaro aboard their second-in-command vessel, Kingdom's Mercy, to coordinate efforts and ensure the world received the necessary defenses against the thralls of Chaos; however, unbeknownst to the Sons of the Khan, the chaos cultists had summoned enough daemons to be bolstered by Plague Marines of the Heralds of Pestilence Warband, which, along with the former 33rd and 75th Grand Companies of the Death Guard, brought with them Horus Heresy-era wargear, including a chaos-corrupted Leviathan Dreadnought, Basilisk tanks, and Sicaran Battle Tanks used in flanking operations, and despite the Phantom Prophets' relentless efforts to secure the planet and destroy the cultists, the Chaos Space Marines managed to temporarily seize control, halting the planet’s functions and allowing the daemon forces to spread their corruption across the battlefield, turning the world into a rotting, festering place that consumed all things untainted, and with the Phantom Prophets' forces dwindling and facing overwhelming odds, they ultimately withdrew, leaving the planet's inhabitants to suffer a slow, agonizing death at the hands of Nurgle’s influence.
  • Clenched Souls Campaign (954.M33) - When the traitorous Word Bearers Legion invaded the Phantom Prophets' planetary system to reclaim a relic the Prophets were safeguarding from falling into the wrong hands, the Phantom Prophets responded by engaging the Word Bearers in a brutal void boarding operation. Deploying their elite Yamakudaki unit for specialized boarding tactics, the Phantom Prophets successfully breached the enemy's command headquarters and launched a direct assault on the Chaos Lord, Malgarath the Apostate. This strategy secured the Sons of the Khan a decisive victory, as they rammed their cruisers into the hulls of the enemy’s flagship, crippling their engines and causing the enemy's battle barge to implode into burning, molten rubble. However, the victory came at a heavy cost, with the Phantom Prophets suffering significant casualties, losing a dozen of their own ships and enduring substantial losses in personnel.
Iron Juggernauts x Phantom Prophets

A Pic-Capture of the 2 brotherly chapters, capturing a brief moment between an Iron Juggernauts (on the left) and a Phantom Prophet (on the right) during the Clash Of Iron.

  • Clash Of Iron (001-101.M34) - The league of traitor Warbands known as 'Iron Pact' lead by the Iron Brotherhood and formed by Flawless Heralds, Silver Snake and the Orphans of Olympia besieged the entire Ogun System looking for vengeance against the Iron Juggernauts for the events that occurred during the 'Ghost' pursuit, dragging the entire system in a century long conflict. The Chapter will manage to survive and repel the aggressors thanks to the reinforcements from the White Scars, Phantom Prophets, Silver Skull, Storm Riders and Hawk Lords, but not without a heavy toll in Astartes and mortal lives, as their losses will count around 700 battle brother, 8 Dreadnought and unnumbered Neophytes, and local mortals
  • Pillage of Thryvallis (Unspecified Date.M34) - The mighty Ork Warboss Throgsmash Goretusk unleashed a massive WAAAGH! upon the agri-world of Thryvallis, prompting the deployment of vast Imperial forces to defend the planet. The Commissariat dispatched regiments of the Astra Militarum, including the Cadian 277th, 384th, and 1744th, amounting to millions of soldiers tasked with halting the Ork onslaught. Responding to the Astra Militarum's distress calls, the High Lords of Terra ordered the intervention of four Space Marine Chapters: the Black Templars, Howling Griffons, Scythes of the Emperor, and the Phantom Prophets. In the ensuing campaign, the combined might of these Space Marine Chapters became a pivotal force against the Ork menace. The Phantom Prophets, deploying three Clan Companies—including the critical 1st Veteran Clan—played a vital role in holding key battle lines. The Howling Griffons and Black Templars worked in tandem to fortify the Imperial defense, while the Scythes of the Emperor used adaptive guerrilla warfare to disrupt Ork logistics and supply lines. Despite their best efforts, the Orks nearly overran Thryvallis, with only the intervention of the Black Templars preventing total collapse. The climax of the campaign saw Warboss Throgsmash Goretusk slain in combat by former Black Templar Marshal Gideon Drakhelm, with crucial support from the Howling Griffons' 1st Veteran Company. Tragically, Marshal Drakhelm succumbed to grievous wounds sustained during the battle, his sacrifice securing a decisive victory for the Imperium. Though the campaign ended in success, it came at a heavy cost, with casualties numbering in the hundreds—if not thousands—among the Space Marines and millions more within the Astra Militarum. The victory was hard-fought, but it ensured that Thryvallis remained within the Imperium’s grasp.
Titan Legio Campaign

A Warlord Titan Trident's Rage from the Legio Posidous that was one of the remaining fielded Warlord Titans in the Hive World of Kalathrax Prime that assisted the Imperial Forces to achieve victory against the Ork Klan of Ork Warboss Grogmak "Da Unstoppable".

  • Battle Of Kalathrax Prime(989.M33 - 010.M34) - A devastating Ork WAAAGH! erupted between M33 and M34, bringing ruin and chaos to the Imperium. The war reached its climax on the hive world of Kalathrax Prime, a vital planet known for housing the mighty Warlord Titans of Legio Posidous. In response to the Ork onslaught, the Imperium deployed a formidable coalition of forces, including the Adeptus Astartes, Skitarii legions of the Adeptus Mechanicus, and their ancient war machines. The Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes dispatched their warriors to Kalathrax Prime, including detachments from the Phantom Prophets, Ghosts of Yama, and Void Vultures. These forces were drawn from various Fire-Support and Close-Support Companies and coordinated their efforts with the Skitarii to protect the Tocanius Test Labs—a vital Mechanicus facility tasked with activating the Titans. The Space Marines spearheaded the defense, ensuring the Mechanicus could safely bring the massive war machines online to eliminate the Ork threat. The Phantom Prophets, alongside the Ghosts of Yama, fiercely defended the Admech cadres working within the labs. They held their ground against wave after wave of Ork attacks, preventing the xenos from capturing or destroying the Titans. Meanwhile, the Void Vultures' Vanguard forces launched a surgical strike to assassinate Warboss Grogmak "Da Unstoppable", a fearsome leader of the Bad Moons Klan. Led by their 2nd and 4th Captains, the Void Vultures' precision assault disrupted the momentum of the Ork WAAAGH! and bought crucial time for the Imperial counteroffensive. With the combined efforts of the Astartes and Mechanicus, the Titans were finally activated, unleashing the destructive power of the Princeps to annihilate the Orks’ fleets in orbit and break their hold on Kalathrax Prime. The Phantom Prophets’ relic tanks provided critical firepower and cover during the campaign, dismantling Ork Deff Dreads and offering protection to allied forces on the battlefield. Despite the victory, the campaign was a grueling and costly endeavor. Over the course of two decades, the combined Imperial forces suffered heavy losses. The Space Marines alone reported nearly 760 dead, with those numbers majorily coming from the Phantom Prophets, along with the destruction of five Land Raider tanks and a significant depletion of their ammunition reserves. However, their sacrifices ensured that Kalathrax Prime was purged of Ork filth, and the Imperium retained control of its vital Titan production facilities, securing a crucial victory against the relentless green tide.
  • Red Moon Crusade (465-477.M34) - The Night Lords of the Bleeding Veil Warband launched a cowardly assault on the flagship of the Phantom Prophets, seeking vengeance for the slaughter of their kin in a prior engagement. As the traitorous warband breached the Phantom Prophets’ main battle barge, the loyalist Chapter quickly mobilized to repel the invaders. The Night Lords made their way toward the heart of the flagship, intent on sabotage, but were met by Dai Hakaisha Bro'mao Jokuo and his elite Keigoban Honor Guard. Leading the defense, Jokuo engaged the Bleeding Veil with unyielding determination, suffering grievous wounds in the brutal conflict. Despite the ferocity of the Night Lords, the Phantom Prophets retaliated with calculated precision. Their remaining fleet targeted the Bleeding Veil's battleship, destroying it to prevent any chance of escape. With the enemy leader captured, the Phantom Prophets interrogated the surviving Night Lords, seeking information about their origins. However, the leader of the Bleeding Veil offered no answers. In response, the Phantom Prophets executed the remaining captives and obliterated their flagship, erasing the Bleeding Veil Warband from existence. Though the victory came at a steep cost, the Phantom Prophets ensured their triumph against the darkness.
PP Yomato Defense

The Phantom Prophets, on the soil of their homeplanet of Syraos VI, defend the gate of Yomato that is protecting the Fortress-Monastery of Kingdom of Hujako from the Iron Marauders invaders.

  • Defense Of Yomato (999.M34-M35) - The invasion of Syraos VI, the homeworld of the Phantom Prophets, commenced when the Iron Marauders, a warband of the Iron Warriors, entered the system and launched an assault on the planet.
  • Siege Of The Banished Brutes (135.M35) - The World Eaters of the Banished Brutes, led by the Eightbound Chaos Lord Rekartar the Slave, launched a brutal siege on the planet 54-XL in the Nachmund sector, near the Segmentum Obscurus and Segmentum Pacificus. Responding to the threat, the Phantom Prophets, under the command of the century-old Dai Hakaisha Nobundo, mobilized their forces to counter the savage warband. However, upon arrival, the Prophets were caught off-guard by a deadly chemo-virus unleashed by the scheming World Eaters, leading to significant losses as many of their warriors succumbed to the toxic air. Despite the setback, Nobundo led his forces into battle, targeting Rekartar, who had fortified himself in a ruined temple guarded by Red Butcher Terminators wielding massive chainaxes. The Keigoban (Honour Guard) faced devastating casualties as they clashed with the Butchers, while Nobundo directed the Kyōshu (Captains) to flank the temple and deploy their forces strategically. Over the course of several hours, the Phantom Prophets suffered over 400 losses but pressed on with unwavering determination. In the final confrontation, Nobundo and his trusted Keigokhaun (Honour Master) stormed the temple, battling through hordes of World Eaters to reach Rekartar. The ensuing duel was ferocious, with Rekartar's brutal strength and agility challenging the Chapter Master's skill. Using a combination of tactics and explosives to catch the Chaos Lord off-guard, the Keigokhaun landed a decisive blow, stabbing Rekartar through the stomach, severing his arms, and ultimately decapitating him. With Rekartar slain, the Phantom Prophets secured victory, avenging their fallen brothers and ensuring the planet's safety.
Crimson Veil PP Campaign

Acting as the assistance to the 835th Cadian Regiment, the Phantom Prophets led against the assault towards the forces of Chaos and Aeldari to reclaim the lost relic.

  • Crimson Veil Crusade (238.M35) - The Crimson Veil Campaign was a brutal and chaotic Imperial crusade fought in the war-torn sub-sector of Aeternus Draconis, located within the Segmentum Pacificus. This conflict saw the Imperium, the forces of Chaos, and the Aeldari Craftworlds clashing in a devastating battle for supremacy. Initiated by the High Lords of Terra after receiving a distress vox-transmission from the 835th Cadian Regiment, the campaign's purpose was to locate and annihilate a powerful Chaos artifact. The High Lords called upon any Imperial forces within range to assist the beleaguered regiment in completing this vital task. Responding to the summons, the Phantom Prophets, led by 1st Kyosho (Captain) Yorak Lo’krn, dispatched four of their Clans to undertake the mission. Unbeknownst to them, a Chaos fleet belonging to the piratical heretics known as the Void Collectors had also set its sights on the artifact. Landing on the planet where the relic was kept, the Phantom Prophets, supported by the 835th Cadian Regiment, were soon confronted by the Void Collectors, who descended upon their position with brutal force. A ferocious battle ensued, culminating in Yorak Lo’krn launching a decisive assault on the heretics, capturing the Chaos Space Marines, and summarily executing them for their intervention. Despite the Void Collectors accepting their fate with unnerving resolve, the Phantom Prophets annihilated every traitor before resuming their search for the relic alongside the remnants of the Cadian regiment. As the Phantom Prophets neared the artifact, a warp portal tore open in the fabric of reality, disgorging a Daemon Prince of Chaos Undivided accompanied by a horde of daemons. The towering Daemon Prince sought to claim the artifact for its own dark purposes. The Phantom Prophets engaged the Daemon Prince, but their battle was interrupted as multiple interdimensional portals materialized on the battlefield. From the portals emerged Aeldari forces, traveling via the Webway, intent on seizing the artifact for themselves. Perceiving the Aeldari's arrival as a grave threat, the Phantom Prophets deployed their ancient Dreadnought, Khul-Yi Gokato, "The Ironhide", to hold off the Aeldari forces while Yorak Lo’krn led the primary strike force against the Daemon Prince. In a ferocious melee duel, Yorak Lo’krn managed to wrest the artifact from the Daemon Prince, though at a devastating cost. The battle devolved into a chaotic free-for-all, with the Phantom Prophets desperately attempting to extract their captain from the escalating violence. The Daemon Prince, sensing its defeat, retreated through the warp but not before enacting a catastrophic ritual. Summoning a destructive warp-forged blade, the Daemon Prince unleashed a devastating blow that scorched the planet’s surface, annihilating vast swathes of its population and condemning the world to extinction. Despite the Phantom Prophets’ victory in destroying the Chaos artifact and safeguarding their venerated brethren, the campaign came at an immense cost: the loss of an entire world, scarred and obliterated in the wake of this tragic crusade—a sacrifice made in the pursuit of misunderstood power and fleeting salvation.
  • Abyssal Campaign (281.M35) - The pettyful of the Iron Marauders Warband strikes in a nearby sector of the Phantom Prophet's homeworld, though their exceeding existence threatens other planets, it was the job of the Phantom Prophets to initiate a counter assault for the Iron Marauders and push them back out of the system. When the Iron Marauders entered the system, the Phantom Prophets, albeit in the stages of recruiting more of their numbers than before, utilized their void crafts and space engines to take the fight using only void tactics and strategies, upon seeing the fleet of the Iron Marauders' flagship, Adrestia. The Phantom Prophets, with their Void-Hardened marines of the Yamakudaki, breached the vessel of the Iron Marauders via their destructible Caestus Assault Rams and took the fighting with the Iron Marauder legionnaires that inhabited the flagship, slaughtering and opening ways for the Phantom Prophets to pursue their mission. Though their forces would be halted by the huge bodies of bodyguard of Tharaxx's, the Chained Tyrants, their insurmountable Terminator armour and weaponry began initiating the assault of the Breacher Keshans of Yamakudaki, purging and relentlessly executing any marine in their way, with their Warsmith Tharaxx wanting to confront the Chapter Master of the Phantom Prophets personally on a duel, much of their numbers fell before their respected Kýoshus, instructing the ship mistress of the Phantom Prophets' Flagship to steer off the remaining fleets off the direction of the Adrestia and remain a standpoint if the fight got too dicey. The Chapter Master Nubundo returned with much of his wounded brethren to the battle barge, escaping the Ardestia and deploying on the other vessels of the Iron Marauders, the Phantom Prophets, with each of them having their respective captains and member of the keigoban piloting it, end up forcefully crashing the vessels into the void shields of the Ardestia of the Iron Marauders. An act of defiance that purely enraged the warsmith, demanded a full on retreat from the battlefield, in which the Phantom Phantom exited from the enemy vessels and destroying them before returning to their home system, ever establishing peace and prosperity in the space system.
PP Hunt of the Damned Sons

A couple of Phantom Prophets forces of the 4th Clan, aiding their 32nd Master of the Hunt, during the Hunt Of The Damned Sons Campaign.

  • Hunt Of The Damned Sons (498.M36) - With Yoani Yota commanding the 4th Clan as the 4th Kyōshu (Captain), he was entrusted by the Chapter's leadership with a grim and storied task: to hunt down a foe that had haunted the Phantom Prophets for over three centuries. This sacred mission demanded that Yoani Yota track down and slay the enemy, delivering their severed head as a grisly trophy to be enshrined in the Chapter’s legacy. Bearing the title of 32nd Master of the Hunt, Yota donned his panoply of war and set out into the void with a small, elite force of his men to pursue their quarry. Their target was Kovoraon the Scourge, a Chaos Lord of the Damned Sons Warband, infamous for the brutal slaying of a worthy Dai Hakaisha (Chapter Master) in an earlier conflict. The responsibility of avenging this loss and enacting judgment upon the traitor fell squarely on Yota’s shoulders. Guided by determination and vengeance, Yoani Yota, alongside his Koshogumi (Lieutenant) Tegogig, tracked the Warband to a desolate and forsaken planet. Descending upon the barren world, Yota and his warriors discovered Kovoraon amidst a ritualistic gathering, where countless cultists and heretics performed their blasphemous rites under the shrouded sky of a stormy night. Roaring a thunderous challenge that echoed across the battlefield, Yota launched himself at Kovoraon, engaging the Chaos Lord in a brutal duel to the death. As the 4th Clan clashed with the Damned Sons, chainswords and blades sang a bloody symphony, turning the battlefield into a charnel house of slaughter. The savage melee raged for hours, with neither side yielding an inch. In the end, Yoani Yota emerged victorious, though his body bore grievous wounds from the ferocious combat. With the severed head of Kovoraon the Scourge in hand, he presented the traitor’s trophy to the Clan’s Chaplain upon their return. Boarding their strike cruiser, the Phantom Prophets unleashed a merciless orbital bombardment, eradicating the remnants of the Damned Sons Warband and ensuring their eternal extinction. The mission’s success not only avenged their fallen Chapter Master but also cemented the Chapter’s honor and legacy. The grisly trophy of Kovoraon’s head now rests in the halls of the Fortress Monastery of the Kingdom of Hujako, a stark reminder of the Phantom Prophets' unwavering resolve and unrelenting vengeance.
  • Destruction of Kingdom Hujako (623.M36) - The Phantom Prophets, after years of relentless crusading, grew weary and depleted, burdened by the weight of their ancient misdeeds.
PP Hand of Hope Campaign

A Phantom Prophets from the 1st Veteran Clan "Generals of the Keep", during the Hand Of Hope Campaign against the zealous Word Bearers.

  • Hand Of Hope (462.M37) - An agri-world once steeped in peace found itself swept into a fervent revelation when an eerie, golden hand, wreathed in flames, seemed to extend its blessing from the heavens. Many of its inhabitants believed it to be the divine hand of the Emperor, bestowing miraculous visions upon them. However, this supposed beacon of hope was revealed to be the radiance emanating from the flagship of the Word Bearers Warband, Hand of Hope—a fanatical and zealous faction of Chaos Space Marines dedicated to conquering the Sol System and spreading damnation to the Emperor’s worlds. Their ultimate goal was the reconstruction of their lost city, Monarchia, upon the ashes of the faithful. Amid distress signals echoing across the agri-fields, the noble Knight Houses of Groem intercepted the desperate vox transmissions and swiftly deployed their Paladin Knights to face the encroaching traitors. In response, the Word Bearers unleashed their vast hordes of Daemon Engines, clashing against the towering war machines in a brutal and relentless conflict. The battle raged to a standstill, with neither side gaining the upper hand—until salvation arrived. Summoned by their sworn duty, the Phantom Prophets made planetfall, their 1st Veteran Clan, the "Generals of the Keep," descending into the fray alongside the embattled Knights. The combined might of House Groem’s noble war engines and the Phantom Prophets’ elite Terminators and Veteran Squads turned the tide of battle. With unyielding determination, they shattered the traitors' offensive, forcing the Word Bearers to retreat from the system. In their wake, the Chaos taint was purged, and the world secured, its survival ensured by the valiant efforts of the Knights and the loyalist Space Marines.
  • 9th Black Crusade (537.M38) - +++DATA EXPUNGED+++
  • Emberfall War (769.M39) - The death world of Decimian, known as the Endless Nightmare, came under attack by an unidentified xenos subspecies capable of absorbing darkness from the world and its surroundings, growing exceptionally stronger and larger on the battlefield. Located in the Ghoul Stars, where light is nearly impossible to penetrate, the planet was shrouded in perpetual darkness, ensuring the nightmare creatures remained confined. The Imperial Navy, stationed approximately 450 kilometers away, called upon nearby Astartes and Legio Titanica forces to investigate. The task fell to the Phantom Prophets, a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter, alongside the controversial White Scars successor chapter, the Destroyers of Worlds. As the Loyalist Chapters approached the planet, they faced heavy bombardment from dozens of Legio Titans deployed on the surface, their firepower visible as faint, twinkling lights from low orbit. The Phantom Prophets and the Destroyers of Worlds descended into the battlefield, which was engulfed in an all-consuming void of darkness. Fortunately, the Phantom Prophets' gene-seed enhancements allowed them to operate effectively in such conditions. They engaged the enigmatic xenos species, which had no recorded history, with the 4th, 7th, and 8th Clans leading a devastating assault. They purged and executed every tendril of the xenos that threatened their position. However, the campaign was not without tension. The Destroyers of Worlds' reckless actions nearly caused the collapse of one of the Titan Legios, endangering the war machines. This left the Phantom Prophets wary of their brother chapter, despite their shared lineage. The battle left the Phantom Prophets scarred and suspicious, sowing seeds of doubt and uncertainty among their ranks regarding the Destroyers of Worlds' reliability and motives.
Emberfall Campaign PP

The Phantom Prophets, alongside the Destroyers of Worlds, during the brightful and darkening campaign of Emberfall War.

  • War of Dominatrius Giorin (875.M39) - An upcoming fleet of the Tau Empire, spearheaded by the war-hardened Fire Caste, launched a sudden and ruthless siege upon a feudal world under the protection of Forge World T-884, a vital outpost of the Adeptus Mechanicus. The invasion threatened not only valuable Imperial resources but the sacred technology housed within the world’s vaults. In response, the Adeptus Mechanicus issued an urgent distress call, demanding reinforcements from nearby Knight Houses and any available Adeptus Astartes in the region. Heeding the call, the Phantom Prophets diverted course to intercept the encroaching xenos threat. As they approached the embattled planet, the Tau Supreme Fleet unleashed a barrage of coordinated firepower, bombarding the void shields of the Chapter’s flagship and causing extensive hull damage. Realizing time was of the essence, the Prophets initiated an emergency descent, deploying swiftly to the surface to reinforce their beleaguered allies. Leading the Tau assault was Commander Shas'o Sao'va Kais Mont'yr, a ruthless tactician clad in a modified XV88 Broadside Battlesuit. Sao'va initiated a precision aerial bombardment, turning swathes of the battlefield into molten ruin. Irritated by the Tau’s relentless push and tactical superiority, the Phantom Prophets retaliated by launching five Thunderhawks alongside reserve Fire Raptor Gunships. Sensing the shift in momentum, the allied Knight Houses formed a steel phalanx, anchoring the defense line and unleashing devastating volleys of heavy weaponry. Their barrage provided much-needed cover for the Phantom Prophets to surge forward and initiate close-quarters combat—where they excelled. Blades met pulse rifles in savage clashes, with Astartes and xenos locked in brutal melees across the war-torn plains. Despite the Prophets’ ferocity, the sheer volume of anti-aircraft fire led to the downing of nearly half their aerial support. With air superiority compromised, the conflict ground into a brutal stalemate. As casualties mounted, the Knight Houses began a tactical withdrawal, sustaining heavy losses but buying time. Commander Sao'va, calculating the loss of matériel and resources, deemed the battle a strategic deadlock and ordered a full Tau withdrawal, abandoning the siege. The war was over—but its cost was heavy. Though the Forge World remained in Imperial hands, it had been left scarred and unstable, much of its infrastructure crippled beyond immediate repair. The Phantom Prophets stood amidst the wreckage, victorious—but somber. Another war waged. Another world barely held. The Tau would return one day. And the Prophets would be ready.
PP and BT campaign

The Phantom Prophets & Black Templars combining their forces to face off against the Traitor Warband of Black Legion during the Black Fist Crusade.

  • Black Fist Crusade (624.M40) - Under the leadership of the newly appointed High Marshal of the Black Templars, Von Adalhard, a grand crusade was declared to confront the relentless and treacherous forces of the Black Legion in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Known as the Black Fist Crusade, this campaign targeted the planet of Alexxus, which had fallen under the control of the Black Legion. The traitors had seized the world to exploit its abundant resources and minerals, using them to forge devastatingly powerful weapons capable of annihilating the Imperium in moments. To bolster their forces, the Black Templars reached out to their allies, the Phantom Prophets, through vox transmissions, requesting their aid in the crusade. The Phantom Prophets, answering the call without hesitation, dispatched their fleet to the Moitan-Sub Sector, where the conflict was unfolding. They deployed their 1st, 3rd, and 7th Clans to the battlefield, joining the Legion-sized force of Black Templars. High Marshal Von Adalhard personally greeted the Phantom Prophets' leader, Dai Hakaisha Xur-Goghir, and the two forces merged into a formidable alliance. This united front proved to be the decisive advantage the Loyalist Chapters needed to secure victory. The Chaos Lord commanding the Black Legion warband, Dhar'lash the Chained, fought fiercely to repel the Loyalists but ultimately fell into a deadly trap. A Land Raider, deliberately sacrificed by the Phantom Prophets, triggered a massive explosion that crippled Dhar'lash, severing both his legs and one arm. In his weakened state, the Chaos Lord was swiftly slain by a Sword Brethren of the Black Templars, cementing the Loyalists' triumph in the Black Fist Crusade.
PP Relentless Purge

The Phantom Prophets engage with the Dynasty of the Necrons with the immeasurable force of their 1st, 5th and 8th Clans.

  • Relentless Purge (742.M40) - The awakening of a Necron Tomb Dynasty, disturbed by mortal men, proved to be a catastrophe for the Phantom Prophets as they sought to halt the inexorable tide of the undying. Deploying their full 8th and 5th Clans to the battlefield, the Chapter struck deep into the heart of the world’s main citadel, where the ancient Necron war machine stirred. There, they met their nemesis—Atatitakh the Night Sire, a supreme Overlord whose cold, methodical strategies had already consigned entire civilizations to oblivion. The former Dai Hakaisha, Xur-Goghir, led the charge against this unrelenting foe, flanked by his 1st Veteran, Kyōshu Otiran Koirk, who stood at his side as the battle raged across the desolate streets of the city. Yet the battle did not unfold in their favor. With terrifying precision, the Necron legions overwhelmed the city, purging all life with their deathless advance. The Phantom Prophets launched a desperate counteroffensive, deploying four Thunderhawks and their mightiest Land Raiders from various Clans to stem the tide of Skorpekh Destroyers that flooded the battlefield. However, their efforts proved futile against the unyielding might of the Necron war machine. The Destroyers cut a swath through the ranks of Astartes, their whirling blades severing battle-brother from battle-brother in a relentless slaughter. Even as they fought with the determination of warriors sworn to die in service, the Phantom Prophets could not halt the impending doom. In a final, desperate gambit, Xur-Goghir led his personal honor guard into the heart of the enemy line, seeking to strike down the Overlord and turn the tide. But the Necrons had foreseen this move. Atatitakh the Night Sire, wreathed in eerie emerald energy, met the Chapter Master in single combat. Their duel was fierce, but the Necron Overlord fought with the patience of an immortal, wearing down Xur-Goghir before delivering the killing stroke. With a swift and merciless strike, the Dai Hakaisha was cut down, his lifeless form crumpling beneath the Necron Lord’s cold, unfeeling gaze. The sight of their fallen master shattered the Phantom Prophets' resolve. The battle became a rout. Without leadership, the remaining forces struggled to hold their ground as the Necron horde advanced mercilessly. Thunderhawks scrambled to extract as many survivors as possible, but the battlefield was already lost. The Phantom Prophets, a proud Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes, had been driven from the field, forced to retreat into the void, leaving behind only the corpses of their fallen and the bitter ashes of failure. In the aftermath, as the battered remnants of the Chapter gathered aboard their fleet, Otiran Koirk stood before his brethren. Though they had suffered a devastating defeat, their war was not over. Swearing an oath of vengeance upon the cursed Necrons, he took up the mantle of Dai Hakaisha, pledging to rebuild their strength and one day return to reclaim the honor they had lost. With the burden of leadership thrust upon him, the newly appointed 16th Dai Hakaisha vowed that the Phantom Prophets would rise once more—even if it took an eternity to see their vengeance fulfilled.
PP Faces off Ork

A Phantom Prophets Kaishu Senshi (Company Champion) ready to execute a unfortunate Ork during the massive Kilandros Crusade.

  • Kilandros Crusade (271-276.M41) - In 270.M41, the Mad Skullz Orks of Kilandros and its surrounding systems united under WAAAGH! Golrag, a massive Ork horde that ravaged not only the Celtic Sector—home of the Iron Spears Chapter—but seven neighboring sectors as well. By 271.M41, Imperial reconnaissance revealed that the Orks were transforming Kilandros' moon into a mobile fortress, ominously named 'Da Great Rok,' intended to serve as the flagship for an assault on Terra itself. In response, the Imperium mobilized an overwhelming force, including numerous Imperial Guard regiments, three Titan Legions, and a host of notable Adeptus Astartes Chapters such as the Ultramarines, Blood Angels, Imperial Fists, Space Wolves, Salamanders, Black Templars, Storm Wardens, Blood Ravens, and others, including the Phantom Prophets. The Phantom Prophets, upon arriving in the Kilandros System, deployed their full might against the entrenched Ork forces, launching a series of relentless assaults. Fighting alongside their brother Chapter, the Storm Riders, they toppled one of the Orks' Gargants and destroyed several Killa Kans, paving the way for the Black Templars to deliver the killing blow to a key Ork commander. The crusade was a grueling campaign, rivaling the scale of the War of the Beast, with the Ork threat causing massive tectonic upheavals that ultimately annihilated all Orks on the planetoid. The Iron Spears' 2nd Clan-Company played a pivotal role, ensuring the destruction of the moon and the death of the Primork. Despite this hard-won victory, the Imperium failed to fully eradicate the Ork presence on Kilandros and the surrounding systems. Periodic raids were subsequently conducted to control the Ork population and prevent further expansion.
  • Call of the Prophets Jihad (832.M41) - In 833.M41, multiple Adeptus Mechanicus enclaves of the Belt of Iron, Segmentum Pacificus, broadcast a sector wide distress signal. Unknown chaos forces had surged from the Refugee’s Wail, enslaving several industrial planets into system spanning rituals. The Prophets of the Emperor and Phantom Prophets answered this call, arriving in 834.M41 with a fleet of Astartes and Astra Militarum regiments poised to retake the area. Hardship met the response fleet early on, with whole units of Astra Militarum falling victim to the ritual’s tainted siren call. After dispatching those too weak to resist, the approaching Prophets and remaining Guard identified the chaos forces as the Word Bearers warband Sacrament of Oblivion, led by Lugnar the Grey Desecrator. In the ensuing campaign, the two Prophet forces fought as hammer and anvil, weakening the ritual with every liberated planet. The united force cornered the Chaos Lord Lugnar on Dapsilis, executing the Grey Desecrator in his profane palace after a hard fought battle. The ensuing months saw complete liberation and cleansing of afflicted planets, with new work crews arriving shortly thereafter
  • 13th Black Crusade (999.M41) - When the Phantom Prophets received the High Lords of Terra’s command to defend Cadia during Abaddon the Despoiler’s 13th Black Crusade, Chapter Master Saghigo Goghai led his forces into the war-torn system. Accompanied by his equerry, Ghort-Xia’ghu, and his personal serf, Hana, Saghigo split his forces into three strike elements, coordinating armored and aerial support to break the Chaos lines. However, the enemy’s Daemon Engines proved overwhelming, forcing the Chapter Master to call in orbital bombardments before deploying their ancient Venerable Dreadnought to turn the tide. As the battle raged, Ghort-Xia’ghu found himself dueling Chaos Lords of the Night Lords and Iron Warriors, veterans of countless wars. Saghigo, torn between leading his Chapter and aiding his old friend, was forced to watch as Ghort was beheaded in a single stroke. The equerry’s death ignited a wrath unlike any before seen—Saghigo butchered every Chaos Space Marine in his path, ensuring their bodies were utterly obliterated before ordering Apothecaries to recover Ghort’s remains for burial. Consumed by grief, Saghigo fought like a berserk beast, slaughtering the enemy without restraint. His Chapter Champion, Musashi Goharo Yi, saw the growing instability in his master’s eyes, but nothing could stop Saghigo’s rampage. As he pressed forward, a bolt pistol shot struck his chest, leaving him staggering as a dozen Chaos Lords closed in for the kill. One by one, his marines fell, their corpses littering the battlefield. Amidst the carnage, Hana, his loyal serf, charged forward, attempting to aid him. A desperate shot from her weapon missed its mark, and before she could react, she was seized by the Chaos Lords—torn in half before Saghigo’s eyes. Her agonized screams echoed in his ears, shattering the last vestiges of restraint within him. With unrelenting fury, Saghigo broke free, tearing through the Chaos Lords with his chainsword, using their own bodies to shield himself from incoming fire. His once-immaculate armor was drenched in blood as he fought through wave after wave of heretics. Finally, with a roar that shook the battlefield, Saghigo raised his blood-soaked hand to the sky and swore an oath of unending vengeance. No longer was he merely a Chapter Master—he was death incarnate, the fury of the Phantom Prophets made manifest. His warpath had only just begun.
PP Indomitus Crusade

The Phantom Prophets, along with their genetically-advanced brethren of Primaris Space Marines, push back the Traitors back to the orbit from Terra alongside with other Chapters to support the Prophets with their initial assault.

    • Indomitus Crusade (999.M41) - With the battlefield reduced to smoldering ruins, Cadia had fallen to the unrelenting tide of Chaos. Ordered by his second-in-command, Kyosho, to retreat, Chapter Master Saghigo Goghai struggled toward the extraction zone, his movements labored, his armor battered, and his body barely holding together. His Terminators, crippled by the brutal engagement, rallied to his side, dragging their wounded master toward the waiting Thunderhawk. As the gunship’s doors sealed and the engines roared to life, Saghigo collapsed from exhaustion. Apothecaries rushed to his aid, their expressions grim as they assessed his wounds. Ju'kul Yashi, the Chapter’s Chief Apothecary, observed in silence before barking orders to the pilots, urging them to make haste toward the battle barge. Upon docking, it became clear—Saghigo’s survival was uncertain. The Apothecaries fell into heated debate: preserve his life through suspended animation or recover his gene-seed and let him die with honor? Ju'kul Yashi, resolute in his conviction, refused to let his master fall. Instead, he proposed a desperate gambit—one that would reshape the Chapter Master entirely. They would transform him into a Primaris Space Marine. With no time to deliberate, the Apothecaries set to work, slicing open their master's flesh to implant the sacred organs required for his ascension. Hours stretched into eternity as the surgeons labored, reforging Saghigo’s broken body into something greater. Then, with a final surge of bio-electrical energy, Saghigo Goghai awoke. He roared in agony, his newly enhanced form writhing against the restraints. Ju'kul Yashi rushed to his side, his voice a mix of urgency and reverence. Slowly, Saghigo’s breathing steadied. His mind, reforged along with his body, was now a vessel of renewed strength. Casting off his restraints, he stood taller, stronger, his body now the instrument of war it was always meant to be. Without hesitation, he commanded Ju'kul Yashi to the command center and prepared to reclaim his armor—now reforged to match his new form. At the command center, an urgent message awaited. The vox channels had been intercepted by Ultramarine successor Chapters, bearing news that would shake the Imperium to its core—Roboute Guilliman had awakened. The Lord of Ultramar, long thought lost, had returned from his ten-thousand-year slumber. The Indomitus Crusade had begun—a holy march to reclaim the Imperium’s lost territories and drive back the darkness. The Phantom Prophets erupted in celebration. To them, this was a sign. If Guilliman had returned, could Jaghatai Khan be next? With renewed fervor, the Chapter set course for Terra, determined to join the war against the encroaching forces of Chaos. When they arrived, the Imperium was already under siege. The enemy swarmed in endless waves, but the Phantom Prophets’ resolve was unbreakable. Iron-willed and reforged in fire, they would not waver. Standing at the vanguard, Saghigo Goghai took command, his new form a beacon of war incarnate. With a thunderous voice, he ordered his warriors into formation—shields locked, weapons primed. A living wall of fire and destruction, the Phantom Prophets surged forward, unleashing devastation upon the traitors. The enemy brought their full might—war engines, corrupted tanks, monstrous daemons—but the Prophets did not falter. They believed. Their faith burned brighter than the fires of battle. They fought not only for Guilliman, not only for the Imperium—but for the hope that the Great Khan himself would return and lead them once more. With steel in their hearts and fire in their souls, the Phantom Prophets waged war against the darkness—unyielding, unrelenting, and ever faithful to the Emperor’s vision.
WOPT Bulcatus & Saghigo

War Chief (Chapter Master) Bulcatus & Dai Hakaisha (Chapter Master) Saghigo Goghai during the War of Primal Tide, facing against a large swathes of Chaos Space Marines from the ferocious Black Legion during the 42 Millennium.

  • War Of Primal Tide (015.M42) - With the emergence of the Great Rift and the return of Roboute Guilliman, the Imperium desperately required the aid of the Primaris Space Marines to combat the remnants of the traitor legions left unchecked during the cataclysmic 13th Black Crusade. The Phantom Prophets, an ancient 2nd Founding Chapter, upon receiving their Primaris reinforcements. Their call from the High Lords of Terra came with orders to head to the Imperium Nihilus in the Segmentum Pacificus. Despite the perils of the Warp and the threat of embarking on a dangerous campaign, Hon'yaku (Chief Librarian) Kanoh Ko'garo Fushugiri reinforced the flagship to endure the raging Warp Storms. Meanwhile, Saghigo Goghai, who had passed the Rubicon Primaris two decades earlier, sought refuge on a nearby planet to prepare their forces for the approaching enemy fleet. As they landed, the Black Legion emerged from the vortex with a massive war fleet. Facing a splintered Chaos force made up of World Eaters, Word Bearers, and Iron Warriors, the Phantom Prophets divided their forces. The Chapter Master and his Command Keshan led a ground assault while half the fleet engaged the traitors in space. Over the course of a grueling 10-hour battle, the Phantom Prophets began to suffer severe losses. Their Honour Guard (Keigoban) was nearly wiped out, vehicles were critically damaged, and their numbers continued to dwindle. Facing what seemed like inevitable defeat on a remote backwater planet, the Phantom Prophets prepared to make their final stand. Their salvation came in the form of the Mastodons Chapter, sons of Leman Russ, who arrived with their full might to reinforce the beleaguered Prophets. Though Saghigo initially wished to fight alone, he welcomed the arrival of the Mastodons' Great War Chief, Bulcatus Orr "The Earthbreaker." Together, the combined forces of the Phantom Prophets and Mastodons surged into battle, their rekindled zeal and unity overwhelming the Chaos forces. The Black Legion fled in disarray, leaving behind stragglers who were executed by the vengeful Space Marines. With the battlefield secured, Saghigo expressed his gratitude to Bulcatus and the Mastodons. This alliance became a symbol of unbreakable brotherhood, a bond forged in blood and valor that would echo throughout the millennia as a testament to the resilience and unity of the Emperor’s servants.
  • Verdant Mayhem(023.M42) - Locked in a brutal artillery exchange with the Death Guard Legion, the Phantom Prophets launched a full-scale assault, committing nearly half of their already diminished Chapter to the front. Chapter Master Saghigo Goghai led the charge personally, flanked by the elite warriors of the 1st Veteran Clan. Despite their valor and unyielding tenacity, the Phantom Prophets were heavily outmatched and suffered grievous losses, refusing to break even as their lines buckled. The tide shifted with the sudden intervention of the Void Vultures—successors of Rogal Dorn—whose forces descended into the fray alongside their elite Death’s Gates Company. At their head stood Arch Vulture Anthiniel Sirkoz, a cold and calculating war-leader. A temporary alliance was quickly forged, and the battered Phantom Prophets fought side by side with the Void Vultures to drive the Death Guard back in a tide of disciplined fury and righteous retribution. Though the battlefield was ultimately claimed in the name of the Imperium, it was a pyrrhic victory for the Phantom Prophets. Their strength had been hollowed out, their numbers thinned, and despite the glory of survival, their Chapter once again stood in desperate need of new blood and reforging.

They shall know methods to wage war strategically and efficiently,
For in their name will they make themselves known as "The Bringers of Destruction".
"
—Scriptures and writings found on ancient scrolls regarding the organized formation of the Phantom Prophets.

The Phantom Prophets, with much intel and information they have conducted by observing their enemy's tactics and command structure, have given the Phantom Prophets the ability to shape their organization into a stable and structured command that gives a swift flow of coordinations and handling missions in a quick and agile matter. Furthermore, their command structure and ranks are followed by the letter from their ancient tribes of Syraos VI from the Kingdom of Hujako, making them earn ranks and ascend with pride of their traditions and culture that they share amongst the brotherhood of the White Scars.

    • Kaji Shujin - The prestigious role of Master of the Forge is a rank higher than that of a standard Techmarine. As the "king" of machinery and the engines of war, the Forge Master possesses deep knowledge of how machines—and even the battle-brothers' armor—function and come to life. • Tömörchag - Referred to as the Venerable Dreadnought, this ancient war machine stands above a standard Dreadnought in reverence and prestige. Together, they stand as an unstoppable force, each Battle-Brother a symbol of unyielding might, capable of reducing their enemies to nothing but remnants on the battlefield.
  • Chōsahei - Equivalent to the rank of Neophyte, these aspiring warriors, brimming with potential, are subjected to relentless training and grueling trials to prove their worth and earn their place as full-fledged battle-brothers within the Chapter. These Neophytes operate as scouts in the 8th Clan, providing essential close or fire support to their brethren. Their experiences on the battlefield hone their skills and resilience, molding them into the future protectors and warriors of the Chapter.
  • Yūshūsha - Referred to as Aspirants, these chosen individuals appear frail but hold the potential to undergo the grueling trials required to become Space Marines. Recruited primarily from distant worlds or occasionally from their own homeworld, the Phantom Prophets’ Aspirants face a harsh and uncertain path. Their ranks are far from guaranteed, as many will fail to endure the brutal trials designed to test their strength, resilience, and worthiness. Only the few who survive these ordeals will emerge transformed, prepared to join the ranks of the Space Marines.

Keigobun Heraldry Sheet

Heraldry of the Keigoban Honour Guard (Including the Honour Master iconographies).

The Honour Guards of the Chapter, known as the "Keigoban," are an elite formation of veteran Terminators, hailing from the 1st Veteran Company, also referred to as the ("Generals of the Keep"). These battle-hardened warriors, having earned their distinction through countless campaigns, are granted the privilege of donning the Chapter’s master-crafted Terminator armour to further enhance their durability and protection. Always present on the battlefield alongside the Phantom Prophets, they are ever vigilant in defending their positions and safeguarding the Chapter Master. The Keigoban's example has even inspired other White Scars successor chapters to adopt Honour Guards within their ranks, continuing a tradition passed down from the Legion’s Honour Guards, the Keshigs—elite bodyguards tasked with protecting their Primarch. The Keigoban consists of three Keshans of Terminators, led by a Keigokhaun (Honour Master), who commands the Honour Guard with full authority, answering only to the Chapter's highest leadership, particularly the Chapter Master.
PP Yamakudaki Breacher Squad

Equipment of the Yamakudaki Breacher Squad.

Known as the "Mountain Crushers," these heavy void-armoured marines, inspired by the Breacher Squads of the ancient Legions, are paragons of defense and tactical mastery. Equipped with Breacher shields and standard-issue Bolters, these warriors are trained to withstand relentless fire and hold defensive positions, protecting their captains, fellow marines, and newly trained neophytes of the Phantom Prophets. Often described as "mountains of uncontrollable rage," they are among the most effective units in the Chapter's history. Drawn primarily from the 2nd and 5th Clans (Companies), these Breacher Keshans—known as the Yamakudaki—boast members with exceptional strategic and tactical intellect. Their reconnaissance and battlefield analysis before deployment make them a formidable force, and an enemy’s worst nightmare to confront.
Giants Of Prosperity Equipment.

Equipment of the Giants Of Prosperity Cadre.

The Veteran Keshan known as the "Giants of Prosperity" is a legend in its own right. This cadre of elite Terminators, clad in master-crafted artificer Terminator armour, are towering, silent giants hailing from the 1st Veteran Clan. Their name originates from an ancient legend on their homeworld of Syraos VI, where they are revered for their immense strength and indomitable presence. Outfitted with a unique sub-pattern of Krutos Pattern Terminator Armour, their war-gear is not only more durable but reinforced with additional layers of ceramite on the shoulders, chest, and legs—turning them into nearly unstoppable juggernauts on the battlefield. The Keshan is led by a "Specialist Captain," tasked with maintaining the strength and number of his unit, ensuring that no warrior is lost needlessly. Limited to only ten Terminators, the Giants of Prosperity are deployed as a formidable heavy support force, bringing unparalleled might wherever they are needed.
Hakzorn PP unit

Hakzorn Specialist Unit, featuring their equipment and wargear.

A newely established unit at the beginning of the Indomitus Crusade during M42, the Phantom Prophets have introduced a unique unit in order to field out their need of wanting destruction and precision striking opportunity, their efforts and resources being renew with the introduction of their primaris brethren after the struggling war of the 13th Black Crusade, this unit is known as the Hakzorn, a devastating unit that is equipped with the lethal weapons that the Phantom Prophets' forgemasters can muster at their disposal. This unit specializes in close-quarter combat, Desolation tactics, siege and chemical warfare, unlike the Cadre Destroyers back in the Legions of old, these warriors are equipped with weapons such as neon swamp color-energized power blades, dao blades, lightning claws and heavy weapons that was test fielded by the forgeworld of Agito V to ensure the lethality of the weapons would be akin to the forbidden material of the phosphex. However, the deployment of this unit is only available when the Phantom Prophets are facing unwinnable battles and the odds are nigh to impossible to achieve victory and so this unit is their final "trump card" in order to turn the tides of the battle into their own favours for a chance of quick successed victory. the Hakzorn's personal details on their armour and appearance shares that of the tribal clans of Hujako, with their visages are an honourary sight for a Phantom Prophet to witness and a nightmare for a foe to face in combat.

Phantom Prophets Librarian[]

PP Librarian

Pi Moratshi, Scale Master, Ferrus Canix, Toshokanin (Librarian) of the Phantom Prophets, assigned to the 4th Clan ("Generals Of The Horizon"), Unknown Keshan. Armed with a Culvera Pattern Power Sword and Bolt Pistol. Note: the usage of librarians has all but ceased to exist within the ranks and numbers of the Phantom Prophets due to the Chapter's distrustfulness about librarians and how their temperment with the Warp can cause Chaos to whisper dark secrets to the ears of fellow librarians, corrupting them in the end.

Like many of their counterparts of Space Marines who utilize Librarians or have a Librarius headquarter within their Order Of Battle, The Phantom Prophets, despite adhering to the structures of the Codex Astartes to still stay a strong force at will, their usage of Space Marine psykers, alternatively Librarians, has all been removed from within their ranks due to their uncertainty of their felllow brethren using their psykers in the most efficient way possible. Moreover, their distrust for regular psykers is also the main reason as to why the Phantim Prophets removed them from their ranks: their temperament with the Warp and how it can corrupt the minds of their battle-brothers are all the reason they expunged any psyker left in their lines.

Though this belief is not only shared within the Chapter, but also with other Chapters that have Librarians within their companies, which causes the Phantom prophets to either fall back from battle for the safety of their brothers or refuse to engage in any battle with them.

Ironically, the Phantom Prophets' lack of Librarians is the main reason why the headquarter of the Libraraius still requires the help of their Chief Librarians, since their knowledge within their Chief Librarians is sacred beyond scale, and their trust and care for the Master of the Librarius keeps him on the foot of battle and not falling in the hands of Chaos unlike the minds of regular Librarians.

This distrust was born when the Phantom Prophets initiated a crusade against a Tzeetchian Chaos Cult named "Hand of Hope" during 462.M37 that tried to conjure a ritual to bring forth a Daemon Prince known as Harbinger of Doom. With the Phantom Prophets' Librarians having to fend off the attack of the daemon, their minds were victims to the grasp of the Ruinious Powers, eventually succumbing to the temptations of the Warp and becoming enraged monsters full of rage and anger. The majority of the Librarians were either killed or cast away from their clans to protect their other brothers from being tempted by the whispers of Chaos. This event placed a massive strain on the trust of the Phantom Prophets for anyone who utilizes the power of the Warp for themselves; hence, in one of the indoctrinations, the proud sons of the Khan have their minds tempered by their Chief Librarian to fend off the unsettling images of war and horrors that await them in their service as brothers of the Chapter to strengthen their resolve and not make them fall easily in the wrong hands.

With their culture of Syraos VI being implemented into their teachings of the Warp and their study of the immaterium, the Phantom Prophets Librarians have their own style of utilizing their magical powers in the battlefield to secure victory:

  • Praise the strength - With the Phantom Prophet, largely viewed as weak or inferior, becomes enraged and focuses his own willpower to disregard his weapons and shapes his fists into steels of vengeance, capable of rendering enemies from their limbs and demolishing fortresses with their steel-wrought power.
  • Void Devourer - The Phantom Prophet Librarian’s knowledge of the warp, they can manifest their cultural tribe species from within their minds and summon their reptilian creatures in a manifest of psychic energy that can maul and tear down their enemies quickly.
  • Scales Turmoil - A Phantom Prophet Librarian's dermisclad within their gene-seed is a potent key in their defense of themselves; they can harness the iron-clad skins of their own and coat it in their armour in a field of electric energy that can fend off heavy attacks from enemies.
  • Blessed Haste - When a fallen brother ends up losing their swiftness in battle, the Phantom Prophet Librarian casts haste into the brother by simply sending a field of psychic wind to the body of the battle-brother. With such power surging within themselves, the battle-brother is back on their feet, with the Librarian making sure of their brothers haste in achieving victory.

Chapter Culture & Belief[]

"Do not question my honour, for within my two beating hearts lies my zealous love for my people and my Primarch, and whether you see that as weakness or lack of faith, I care for my brothers, and my brothers alone. You have no idea what it means to sacrifice for the world just so that one day your beloved leader would forgive you."
—An Kōkotsu (Ancient Bearer) scolds an Marines Malevolant Veteran after the Marines Malevolant reprimand of saving civilians.

The Phantom Prophets are a venerable and proud Chapter that hails from the White Scars Legion, with much of their philosphies and traditions being shared from the parent Legion to their successor Chapters and their culture originating from Syraos VI. With their core ethics built upon the teachings of their "God-Primarch" to uphold the history of their chapter and praise for what they have fought to still keep breathing. While these strong sons continue to fight for the Imperium, their deeds are never to be forgotten as every deed they perform in the name of Jaghatai Khan is always attributed on their scriptures back in their Fortress Monastery, with such heroism is displayed upon their destructive methods of war and their risk of ensuring their battle-brothers and fellow armies that aid in their cause are in good hands.

Such moral code of honour is shared and strictly followed by the Phantom Prophets: a code in which embodies the son of the Khan to continiously arise against their peers and never succumb to their inner beasts, for each of these Sons posssess the rage of an crashing tsunami that must be kept in check by their fellow Chaplains to steer their brothers from the "Void Path". Much of this discipline being inserted into every Battle-Brother of the Chapter helps construct their minds to become strong as iron and their zealous nature of executing their tasks in peak condition with no distractions.

Honour Till Death
The life of a Phantom Prophet revolves around an unwavering sense of duty, a principle that every brother of the Chapter strives to uphold both on and off the battlefield. Their commitment to their role as defenders of their brethren and the Imperium is absolute, with no shame in the burden they bear. This steadfast belief stems from the ancient teachings of the kingdom of Hujako, where the weight of being a Space Marine is seen as an honour that strengthens resolve and fortitude in the face of adversity. Whether enduring deceit or enduring shock assaults, a Phantom Prophet is expected to remain steadfast and proud of their position. To embody this ethos, the brethren engage in honourable practices, such as sword duels and daily worship of their revered God-Primarch, Jaghatai Khan.

However, this strict code of honour comes at a significant cost. Many of the older, more weary brethren who zealously commit themselves to these practices often become dull, stoic, and emotionally detached on the battlefield. The challenges stemming from this belief largely originate from the senior members of the Chapter, whose rigid demands and emphasis on obedience often fall on deaf ears. As a result, some Phantom Prophets choose to fight battles on their own terms, prioritizing their personal sense of honour above tactical coordination. This unyielding adherence to their values frequently leads to unnecessary casualties and losses, underscoring the dangers of their extreme devotion to their ideals. No matter the challenges the Phantom Prophets encounter, their code of honour remains unbreakable, untarnished, and revered as their ultimate guide on the battlefield. It serves as an unwavering set of rules ingrained in the minds of every battle-brother, ensuring their adherence to it before charging into combat
PP Terminator Chaos Cultists

A Phantom Prophet Taaminkougek (Assault Terminator) of the 1st Clan ("Generals of the Keep") armed with a Thunder Hammer and Storm Shield, facing off against a horde of Cultists. Note: Despite being outnumbered, the Terminator appears to handle the trouble by himself with no issue, all thanks to the rigorious practicing and maintaining a sharp wit during combat.

Serpent Duels
As proud sons of Jaghatai Khan, the Phantom Prophets take great pride in dueling competitions and the refinement of their swordsmanship. This devotion to the art of combat has become a revered tradition within the Chapter, fostering skill, discipline, and valor through constant training. The roots of this practice date back to the closing days of the Horus Heresy, when the surviving Veterans of the 25th Pioneer Company, known as the White Conquerors, committed themselves to years of rigorous training under the tutelage of their experienced leaders. This tradition extends beyond swordplay to include mastery of a variety of weapons from the Chapter's arsenal, such as swords, spears, and curved dao blades. These weapons not only hone the physical abilities of the warriors but also sharpen their mental acuity. The Phantom Prophets believe that there is a deeper power to be found in the unending exchange of blows and strikes with their brothers-in-arms, forging an unbreakable bond and elevating their combat prowess. The duels were traditionally held on the staging grounds of their homeworld, Syraos VI, where the tribal people of Hujako would select their strongest warriors to compete in the fighting pits. Armed with nothing more than armor and swords—or sometimes even just rocks or sticks—they would face off against their opponents in brutal combat. This ancient practice was adopted by the Phantom Prophets, who integrated it into their own traditions to refine their swordsmanship, enhance their combat skills, and develop greater control over their tempers during battle.

The rigorous practice of dueling and pit fighting has proven invaluable for the Phantom Prophets on the battlefield. Each warrior has developed an uncanny ability to anticipate their enemy's intentions, outmaneuvering them with instinct and strategy. Even the fiercest and most cunning enemy leaders have fallen to the skill of Phantom Prophet warriors, ranging from the regular Butai (Sergeants) to the esteemed Kōkai (Chaplains). Their mastery in combat, combined with an innate "evolutionary" adaptability to counter their opponents' strategies, makes the Phantom Prophets exceptional combatants. Whether on or off the battlefield, their unparalleled proficiency with the blade instills fear in all who face them, for the presence of even a single Phantom Prophet guarantees a swift and decisive outcome.

Primarch Reverence
The Phantom Prophets share an unwavering and ritualistic devotion to their Primarch, a belief ingrained within their Chapter since its very inception. To them, the veneration of a Primarch is not merely respect—it is an act of faith, a fundamental pillar of their existence. Jaghatai Khan is more than a forebear; he is their guiding spirit, their god-warrior, whose deeds and wisdom shape every action they take. Through fervent devotion and unyielding fanaticism, they pursue their campaigns, ensuring that every battle, every victory, is a tribute to the Great Khan’s legacy. This belief is deeply woven into the soul of every Battle-Brother of the Chapter, fueling their relentless aggression and unmatched charisma in war. However, among their White Scars brethren, such reverence is often seen as excessive, even heretical in its deviation from the Imperium's orthodoxy. The other Successor Chapters remain steadfast in their devotion to the Emperor alone, regarding the Phantom Prophets’ near-worship of their Primarch as a dangerous divergence. Yet, for the Phantom Prophets, any rejection or criticism of their faith is met with contempt. To question their reverence for Jaghatai Khan is to question their very purpose. Rather than sowing doubt, opposition only hardens their resolve, forging them into even more unrelenting warriors, ever more determined to carve a path through the horrors of the galaxy in the name of their Khan.

This belief stands as a stark counterpoint—yet bears striking similarities—to the zealous faith of the Black Templars, who revere the Emperor of Mankind as a living god. Just as the Templars dedicate themselves wholly to the worship of the Emperor, the Phantom Prophets channel their devotion into the veneration of Jaghatai Khan, their god-warrior and eternal guide. Despite this fundamental divergence, the Phantom Prophets hold immense respect for the Black Templars, admiring their unwavering zeal and their relentless crusade to ensure that the enemies of Mankind are brought to ruin beneath the blades of His chosen warriors. In turn, the Black Templars recognize the Phantom Prophets’ unshakable faith in their Primarch, even if they view it as a form of divergent optimism rather than true devotion to the Emperor. Yet, they do not dismiss it outright, for they see in the sons of Khan a kindred fire—a relentless drive that fuels their confidence in battle and pushes them ever forward against the darkness of the galaxy. Though their faiths take different forms, both Chapters share a common truth: an unbreakable conviction that through faith and fury, they shall cleanse the Imperium of its foes.

Weaponsmithing
On their war-scarred homeworld of Syraos VI, the Phantom Prophets are drawn from the many rugged clans and hardened peasant communities shaped by centuries of conflict. Life on Syraos VI is forged in battle, and its people are no strangers to war. The Chapter wastes no time on lesser candidates; only those tempered by struggle and discipline are considered worthy of ascension. Once selected, aspirants undergo brutal trials of endurance, martial prowess, and an intensive education in the sacred craft of the forge. This tradition is far more than simple smithing—it is a revered inheritance, passed down through countless generations. Every recruit is trained not only to wield weapons but to understand them intimately: to forge their own arms and armor, to maintain them with care, and even to mend or "heal" these tools of war in the midst of battle. Through this deep connection to their wargear, each Phantom Prophet becomes a living extension of the forge, combining martial skill with the mastery of craftsmanship.

What began as a cultural necessity on Syraos VI has since become a defining doctrine of the Chapter. In every campaign, the Phantom Prophets incorporate this discipline into their operations, crafting intricate suits of armor and devastating power weapons that inspire awe—even among other Space Marine Chapters. Their prowess in the forge has not only elevated their status but has also strengthened their battlefield resilience. The Sons of Jaghatai, among others, have benefitted from this practice, adopting enhanced armory techniques that have saved countless lives. Many of the Chapter’s finest creations—relic blades, ornate power armor, and master-forged wargear—are preserved as sacred trophies within their fortress monastery. These relics serve as a testament to the enduring spirit of Syraos VI and the craftsmanship of its warrior sons, embodying both their legacy and their unbreakable will to conquer.

Brother Before All

In the midst of battle, the Phantom Prophets, no matter the origins and upbringing of their brothers, always venerate each of their battle-brothers with devouted care and unbreakable bond, putting their lives in danger in the process to secure the lives of their brothers, even going as far as defending their own officers and senior masters of the Chapter with their dearest. This practice have practically caused all types of casualities for the Chapter to endure during their long service, bearing many scars from their engagements to protect their brothers and allow for the remainder to continue pushing onwards on securing a victorious outcome.

Promised Vigour

Chapter Gene-Seed[]

"During battle, The beast lingers in every edge of your mind, scratching the walls of your cerebellum for the "release".. but steel yourself, Sons of Khan; the very blade you carry to the battlefield is the reminder of your devotion."
—5th Kyōshu (Captain) Yuma Kojima Ki'nal adhering to his Veterans after the loss of their redeemed Keshan.

The Phantom Prophets, despite being a White Scars successor chapter, maintain a rather good and stable gene-seed amongst other space marine chapters, with no signs or hints possessing any deformities, These marines cooperate normally without issues with their genetic code. However, their demeanour and overall characteristics often paint these marines as rather senseless and mindless beasts. Though that's not the case, the majority of the Phantom Prophets spend their time honing their skills and training to become rather stronger opponents than their peers, as combat is their essential existence.

Maintaining their homeworld's culture and certain beliefs, the Phantom Prophets often possess key elements of their spiritual prehistoric animals that they used to raise and meditate with during the remaining days of their homeplanet, Syraos VI. The teachings and incooperating the culture of the planet have made a sudden change in their own Gene-Seed; With the maintenance of their culture, the Phantom Prophets, despite suffering from these flaws, still push on no matter how their circumstances worsen. Pushing on the idea of their "God-Primarch" watching over their actions, it's safe to say that the Phantom Prophets welcome these flaws as a parting gift from their Primarch, to fully embrace what it means to be a son of the Khan. After the loss of their beloved homeworld, the tragedy was rather devastating for the Phantom Prophets and their precious gene-seed, making them much more inflicted than ever before.

Chapter Flaws[]

PP Gene-Seed Eye Flaw

A Phantom Prophet Senjō (Battle-Brother) bearing golden-colored hue eyes due to the sustained confrontation in the battlefield, growing more and more enraged during mere conflicts.

  • Hue color of iris - The Phantom Prophets, who are infamously known for their unbridled feats of rage, end up having their eye color change during heated moments. Either being wounded or facing the issues to calm down, the marine's eye shifts from their standard black-pupiled eyes to pure saturated yellow, which becomes a frightening sight to behold.
  • Accelerating Aging - Despite hailing from an older Founding, the Phantom Prophets' age acceleration is rather damning to every single marine, with the majority of the marine's suffering from crippling or having poor conditions that aren't up to a Space Marine's standard. However, with this flaw being a pivotal issue for the Phantom Prophets, it gives them the motivation to teach their younger brothers of their past experiences, which enhances them to become better warriors and upheld the honour of the Khan.
  • Increased Occulobe - The Phantom Prophets, coming from their homeplanet Syraos VI, have always recruited their numbers and passed their neophytes into trials to become a part of the Chapter, with one of their trials relying on their eyesight during the pitch black darkness in the nighttime to rely on their senses and instincts to sharpen their mind. Their eyes can be used to see better under low-light conditions without the isage of their helmets, given how their eyes are trained to hide in the shadows and stalk their enemies.
  • Increased Hypertrophy - The Phantom Prophets, despite being successful marines after overcoming their trials during their time as scout marines, already have established large and powerful frames of increased hypertrophy. With their Gene organ Ossmodula having an overstimulated 20% of their hypertrophy, the marines have more muscle mass than their standard battle-brothers from other chapters, which makes them capable of carrying weapons that are considered heavy for other chapters and lifting heavy weights with ease.
  • Unstoppable Rage - Whenever the Phantom Prophets engage in combat, they exhibit a burning fury that is somewhat uncontrollable if longer engagements are imminent, which causes the Phantom Prophets to release their unpending rage onto their enemies of Mankind, only by chance if the Chaplain was present in the battlefield should a battle-brother come back to reality.

Mutations[]

Inflicted PP brother

A pic-capture of an inflicted Senjō (Battle-Brother) Phantom Prophet suffering from the mutations of their Gene-seed.

  • Dermisclad Growth - The skin of a single Phantom Prophet can be considered a tissue of iron that gives these honourable Sons of the Khan an advantage of fending off attacks that can fell a average Space Marine, even though their limbs can be ripped apart, they're strong enough to fend off a chainsword attack by their hands easily, without being power armoured. However, this gift comes with a twist: if the marine continued to serve for longer time, their skin gets much harder and harder to the point that it starts growing scales on the edges of the skin or in the bigger part of their bodies, which causes the marine to have cumbersome movements.
  • Snarled Fangs - With their gene-seed being spiritually connected to their lost homeplanet, the marines' gene seed has exhibited weird and odd phenomena; their sudden mutations that the Phantom Prophets possess are the growth of snarled fangs in their jaws, which can be a devastating and lethal weapon to bear when a marine uses their animalistic instincts to execute their enemies. Despite the Phantom Prophets suffering from this, it has no correlation with the Canix Helix gene seed of the Space Wolves Chapter.
  • Melanochrome Malfunction- The Phantom Prophets happen to suffer from a 60% deficiency color, which coats their skin with a mixture of greyish pale with a hint of swamp green on some varius parts of their skin. Upon feeling the skin of the marine, it gives off such a rubbery and ashy effect when contact is made, which presumes that the skin pigmentation of the Phantom Prophets has all but ceased to function properly.

Chapter Recruitment[]

The Phantom Prophets, renowned for their unyielding campaigns against the enemies of Mankind, have long replenished their ranks by recruiting from their former homeworld, Syraos VI—particularly from the Kingdom of Hujako. The tribal clans of this region are famed for their physically formidable members, making them ideal candidates for the transformation into Space Marines. Aspirants, often with little to no experience in combat, are selected and taken from the safety of their clans to the harsh, desolate biomes beyond the Kingdom. Unaware of the grueling trials that await, they are placed under the watchful guidance of the Chaplain. Led to the hidden "Silent Temples," the aspirants begin their journey far from the prying eyes of outsiders. The trials, shrouded in mystery, are conducted in utmost secrecy. Upon entering the temples, each aspirant is blindfolded to ensure that nothing of their experience is ever revealed. Any who attempt to flee or disclose the nature of the trials face swift punishment, ensuring the sacred rituals of the Phantom Prophets remain forever hidden from the outside world.

The Black Marsh Judgment

first of many trials an aspirant must overcome, testing their instincts and will to survive in the shadowy forests of the Kingdom of Hujako. In this trial, the Chaplain tasks the aspirant with surviving five days in the wilderness, armed with nothing but their wits, as they navigate the dangers lurking within the towering trees. Their ultimate goal is to reach the Silent Temples at the end of the fifth day. However, few manage to endure even the first day, as the forest is home to the planet’s sacred and deadly reptilian creatures who guard it fiercely. As the days pass, the aspirant's instincts heighten and their resolve sharpens. By necessity, they craft weapons from whatever they can find—wood, stone, or bone—fashioning crude knives or sturdy hammers to fend off the predatory reptiles.

Each night tests their endurance, while each morning presents a new challenge in the unforgiving wilds. On the final day, after escaping the dense forest and reaching the Silent Temples, the surviving aspirants are met by the Chaplain. In a solemn ceremony, those who succeed are honored with the "Mark of the Beast," branded onto their left pectoral, a permanent symbol of their victory over the trial and their newfound status as worthy aspirants. This mark signifies not just survival but mastery over both the wilderness and themselves as they step forward on the path to greater challenges.

Oni’s Challenge

The Oni's Challenge, the second trial of the Phantom Prophets, brings together the surviving aspirants from their first trial to face each other in brutal ritual combat. Within treacherous fighting pits filled with traps, pitfalls, and spiked hazards, the aspirants must battle one another, proving their strength and determination. The Chaplain, watching from a distant post, observes each aspirant's fight with a keen eye, offering little in the way of encouragement. Instead, he demands their absolute commitment to victory, forcing them to finish the battle with ruthless efficiency. The arena's sand is soaked with the blood and sweat of the combatants, each fight lasting hours as the aspirants strive to prove their worth and secure their place in the Chapter.

Despite the intense combat, a strict code of honor governs the trial. While brutality is allowed, practices of execution or dishonorable tactics are forbidden. The Chaplain enforces this law without mercy—any aspirant who resorts to impure or "barbaric" strategies is immediately punished. Breaking the code results in a fate worse than death: the dishonored aspirant is removed from the arena and condemned to serve as a failed Servitor, stripped of any hope of advancement.

For those who survive and abide by the rules, victory in this trial brings immense honor. They are awarded the honour to be implacted gene-seed organs of the Chapter the next day, beginning their transformation into neophytes—a crucial step toward enduring the remaining trials and ascending within the ranks of the Phantom Prophets.

Trial by the Beast

The Trial By The Beast is the next challenge in the recruitment process, testing the strength and primal instincts of newly indoctrinated neophytes, who must now put their enhancements to use in nature’s deadliest settings. After receiving the initial gene-seed implants, the neophytes are gifted with immense strength—able to crush a human skull with ease and carry great weights effortlessly. But these enhancements come with a grave challenge: each neophyte must collect three grisly trophies from a fearsome target. Their task is to hunt the colossal gator, taking its tough reptilian hide, its massive horns, and 30 of its razor-sharp fangs. These creatures, far larger than any common reptile, are legendary for their size and strength. Their hides are so durable that when incorporated into power armor, they become virtually indestructible.

To begin their hunt, the neophytes are led by the Chaplain into the deepest sanctums of the Silent Temples. In these shadowy, echoing depths, the terrifying roars and bellows of the beasts fill the air, growing louder as they near their prey. When they finally reach the creature’s chamber, each neophyte is armed with specialized weapons to take down the towering reptile. But the creature looms far above them—many times the size of a man—making the task seem impossible. Yet, with their enhanced strength and sheer determination, the neophytes fight through the odds.

Those who succeed in slaying the beast and securing the trophies—the hide, the horns, and the fangs—must present them to the Chaplain. Only then are they deemed worthy to receive further gene-seed implants, preparing them for the upcoming trials. Every victory strengthens their body, sharpens their mind, and solidifies their place in the Chapter as they advance toward becoming Space Marines.

Tranquil Ascendance

The Tranquil Ascendance serves as the trial before the final one, designed to test the Neophytes' mental resilience and unwavering dedication to becoming full members of the Phantom Prophets. In this trial, the Chaplain leads the Neophytes to the mountainous regions of the Kingdom, where cascading waterfalls and jagged rock formations greet them. Here, the Chief Librarian awaits atop a towering rocky pillar, meditating in silence as the Neophytes approach.

Upon arrival, the Neophytes are instructed to climb one of the numerous rocky pillars scattered throughout the area. Once atop the pillars, they are ordered by the Chaplain to sit and enter deep meditation for 14 hours. During this time, they are forced to confront their innermost fears—haunting memories of their past lives and looming dread about future failures. The Chief Librarian channels psychic energy into their minds, projecting vivid images of war and chaos. They experience the horrors of battle firsthand, from the bloodshed and death to the overwhelming despair of defeat.

Despite these terrifying visions, the Neophytes are tasked with maintaining composure. They must endure the mental onslaught and remain calm, knowing that only by pushing through their fears can they overcome them. In doing so, their emotions are steadied, and their fears begin to dissolve.

After 14 hours of this grueling mental trial, the Neophytes are instructed to descend from the pillars. The Chaplain closely examines them, noting that their eyes have transformed from their natural color to a glowing yellow hue. This change indicates that the Neophytes have passed the trial, showing that they have mastered their fears and proven themselves mentally strong enough to continue. With their new yellowed gaze, they are now prepared for the final and most challenging trial that lies ahead.

Cruicible of the Anvil

The Crucible of the Anvil marks the final trial, the ultimate test that determines whether the Neophyte is worthy of becoming a full-fledged battle-brother in the Brotherhood of the Phantom Prophets. In this trial, the Neophyte is tasked with forging a weapon—specifically, a blade—that will serve as both a symbol of their craftsmanship and the tool they will use to prove their strength. The trial revolves around whether the blade they forge is capable of slicing through the hardest materials, as determined by the Chaplain.

Returning to the Kingdom of Hujako, the Neophytes are welcomed by their people, with the warriors of the Kingdom preparing the forge at the Chaplain's command. The forge becomes a site of both tension and excitement as the Neophytes labor for hours, honing their skills in the heat and hammering their blades into shape. The Chaplain watches their every move, assessing not only their craftsmanship but also their endurance and determination. In the distance, the people of Hujako cheer, urging their champions forward.

Once the Neophytes have completed their weapons, the Chaplain calls them forward one by one to test the blades they’ve forged. The first material they are challenged to cut is a slab of blackened stone, renowned for its toughness. With a stern nod from the Chaplain, the Neophyte takes a swing. If they manage to cleave the stone in two, they are deemed ready for the next challenge.

The second test involves much more personal material—the reptilian hide taken from their earlier trial. The hide is thick and nearly indestructible, having been a symbol of their survival in the wilderness. The Neophyte must demonstrate that their blade can slice cleanly through the hide. If successful, they are permitted to advance to the final, most daunting task.

For the last test, the Chaplain presents the Neophyte with a rare and mysterious component, a material with strange properties and mixtures, far tougher than anything they've encountered before. The Neophyte is given three chances to cut through it. Each strike counts, and failure on one strike is met with the Chaplain striking his Crozius against the ground, urging the Neophyte to strike harder, to dig deeper into their strength. With the crowd holding their breath, the Neophyte must summon all their focus and power for the final blow. If they manage to slice through the material in swift, decisive fashion, the Kingdom erupts into celebration. The crowd cheers in triumphant joy, and the Chaplain steps forward to offer his congratulations. In the final stage of the Crucible of the Anvil, after the Neophyte successfully cuts through the materials, the Chaplain, if deemed the Neophyte worthy, will challenge them to a duel. The duel takes place in the Hujako arena, with the crowds watching as the newly-forged Neophyte faces off against the Chaplain, a seasoned and battle-hardened veteran. Both wield their forged weapons, but the duel is not just about strength—it's a test of skill and determination.

Despite the Chaplain's vast experience, the Neophyte must show their potential by landing a single hit on the Chaplain. Though a seemingly impossible task, if the Neophyte manages to strike the Chaplain, the battle is immediately called. The Chaplain then declares the Neophyte victorious and worthy of induction into the Phantom Prophets. Following this moment of triumph, the Neophyte is granted the Black Carapace, fully integrating them into the Chapter as a battle-brother, ready to join the ranks of the legendary warriors.

Concurrent Recruitment

Amid their ongoing recruitment efforts, the Phantom Prophets are actively seeking new members from various regions across worlds to swiftly replenish their ranks and strengthen their forces. Despite the loss of their homeworld, Syraos VI, the Phantom Prophets traditionally favored recruiting Syraosian citizens, as they were physically and mentally fortified through the chapter's ritualistic teachings, making them the ideal candidates for recruitment.

The Phantom Prophets frequently conquer worlds to establish Recruiting Keeps, mirroring the Black Templars' method of recruitment. These worlds remain under the vigilant oversight of the Chapter's Fleet Commander, who ensures the maintenance of these outposts. This strategic approach allows the Phantom Prophets to swiftly replenish their ranks, compensating for the heavy losses sustained during their relentless campaigns.

Notable Recruitment Worlds

The following is a list of worlds conquered by the Phantom Prophets, where they have established recruiting grounds to train and induct new Neophytes into their ranks:

  • Sopridria
  • Ultrabish VI
  • Nomern
  • Salandrius Mundi

Deathwatch Service[]

The Phantom Prophets are a distinguished chapter known for their rare practice of seldom discharging their own warriors to serve in the Deathwatch, an elite organization combating the deadliest xenos threats to the Imperium. Due to the chapters rather vehement decision not to send brothers to the Deathwatch service, the Phantom Prophets do begrudgingly send one of the brothers they deemed lacking in performance to the Deathwatch service in hopes he improves against the horrors the long vigil pits the marine with. After the service, the returning brother is battle-hardened and reports show that the Phantom Prophets consider the deathwatch a sort of necessary evil to improve those found lacking

This strategy allows them to ensure their numbers remain solid and their chapter's legacy remains intact while still contributing to the Imperium's defense. Despite their infrequent participation in Deathwatch, the Phantom Prophets are vigilant defenders of the Imperium, utilizing their skills and tactics to protect humanity from the dangers of the galaxy.

With a significant number of brethren sent to the Deathwatch, many return with skills and tactics previously unknown to the Chapter and its leaders. These lessons, gained through experience in the Long Vigil, prove invaluable, as the returning Deathwatch veterans bring back insights that are shared among their fellow Deathwatch brothers. Each Watch Fortress they served imparts unique teachings, which are passed down among Deathwatch members, creating a lineage of knowledge from masters who have themselves endured the rigors of Deathwatch service. However, this wisdom remains strictly guarded; those outside the Deathwatch are forbidden from utilizing these teachings, as every Deathwatch marine has sworn an oath to keep such knowledge within the brotherhood, never to be disclosed or used for personal gain beyond the Watch.

Down below is a collection of the Phantom Prophets who are serving a Vigil with the Deathwatch, either still serving or returning to the chapter:

Combat Doctrine[]

The Phantom Prophets' combat doctrine is rather effective as it is strategic in its own form. The combat doctrine relatively has two sides of the coin: a mixture of both swift swordsmanship, specifically mastery of the blade, and the usage of heavy firepower in the battlefield to crush their enemies. With many of the Prophets utilizing as many vehicles and engines of war in their Clans (Companies) within their battlelines to wear down their enemy's fortresses as well as bring down any potential threat in the battlefield that would endanger the Phantom Prophets during combat.

  • Pure Evolution - During duels between a battle-brother of the Phantom Prophets and their enemy, much of the time passed is the Phantom Prophets' state of mind adapting to the enemy's style of their stratagems, going into the state of "evolving" and becoming better at overcoming their enemy by simply using their tactics against them, catching off guard and besting them in combat. This style is embedded into every battle-brother of the Chapter, hence many of the reasons that the Chapter keeps their skills of the blade always at bay whenever the need for combat is imminent.
  • Martial Arts Prowess - The Phantom Prophets, scions of Jaghatai Khan, have embraced archaic and long-forgotten martial disciplines once practiced on Old Earth. Through relentless study and refinement, they have honed a doctrine that allows them to tap into a heightened state of combat awareness—an "evolution" state—unlocking their full potential to counter and dismantle enemy strategies with precision. This philosophy is ingrained in every battle-brother, passed down through rigorous mentorship by the Veterans of the Chapter. Their teachings emphasize mastering combat both with and without power armor, ensuring that every warrior of the Phantom Prophets is a living weapon, capable of overcoming any foe through sheer skill and disciplined ferocity.
  • Last Man Standing - An ancient and traditional method of demonstrating honor, this ritual sees a battle-brother engage the enemy in a duel, with both combatants discarding any ranged weaponry, as it is considered dishonorable in a sword fight. The two opponents meet in the center of the field, waiting until one makes the first move to initiate the duel; if the battle-brother emerges victorious, he honors the fallen opponent for their bravery in accepting the challenge. However, many of these standoffs often end in dishonor, as some forces refuse to comply with the Phantom Prophets' strict rules of combat.
  • Leave None But Death - In the midst of battle, the Phantom Prophets would use much of their remaining numbers of their Clans to bring down their enemy's army to the ground, making sure the enemy could never emerge victorious. The Phantom Prophets would bombard the region in its entirety with all enemy forces to ensure no enemy would still be alive after the conclusion of the campaign. Attrition warfare is among their methods of waging war, wearing down the enemy's resources and crushing any fortified position they would hold into to end up being destroyed, giving the Phantom Prophets an advantage to demolish their headquarters, granting a victory.
  • Grips Of Shadows - Another contributor to waging war is the Phantom Prophets' lethal way of sabotaging, infiltration and stealth operations that are performed to conduct during assassination attempts or getting intel of the enemy before waging war against their oppressors. Despite the Phantom Prophets doesn't have a Scout Clan, they conduct numbers of scout marines and smaller Keshans of eliminators within every Clan to protect their clans from afar. Additionally, these scout Keshans end up being the pivotal speartip for gaining information of their enemy's style and acknowledging them from the distance, undetected.
  • Unleash The Beast - Much of the Phantom Prophets' style and practices stem from their ancient Syraosian culture, yet their teachings still carry the influence of Primarch Jaghatai Khan. In times of need, they channel this heritage, ruthlessly charging into enemy lines with unrestrained ferocity, unleashing brutal acts of savagery and wrath upon their foes. While effective in breaking battle lines and overwhelming foot soldiers, many of their officers view this aggressive approach as dishonorable and even barbaric. The cost is high; such relentless tactics often lead to substantial casualties, forcing the Chapter to undertake frequent rebuilding efforts to restore their ranks after each bloody campaign.
Night End PP M42

In the time of the M42, the majority of the armoury, including the weapons and vehicles of the chapter, have been modified and revamped to suit their capabilities during the Ultima Founding. The majority of the Relics and their retired vehicles they used in the old millenia have been kept in reserve, a testament to time given how their newer armamnets have been given and modified for their own style of waging war.

—Xur-Yi Akuma
  • Dai Hakaisha Xur-Yi Akuma - Dai Hakaisha (Chapter Master) Xur-Yi Akuma, known throughout the annals of history as "The Destroyer of Worlds," was the founder and inaugural Chapter Master of the Phantom Prophets, a venerated Chapter of the 2nd Founding descending from the proud lineage of the White Scars. His rise to prominence came during the tumultuous aftermath of the Horus Heresy, an era that marked the end of the mighty Space Marine Legions and their division into smaller, 1,000-strong Chapters under the Codex Astartes. Xur-Yi Akuma's tale is one of unyielding perseverance, boundless honor, and profound tragedy. Once a celebrated 25th Captain during the Great Crusade, Akuma's destiny took a darker turn when he was assigned to the Ebon Keshig, the shadowy and solemn ranks charged with ceremonial executions and battlefield dirges—a role he perceived as a mark of disgrace. Yet, through acts of extraordinary courage and steadfast loyalty during the crucible of war, Akuma redeemed himself, ascending to the rank of Keshig, earning his place among the most honored warriors of the White Scars. The horrors of the Horus Heresy left an indelible scar upon Akuma. He bore witness to the crippling of the Emperor and His interment upon the Golden Throne, a tragedy that forever darkened the heart of the resolute warrior. Stricken by grief and seeking a measure of solace, Akuma ventured to the distant fringes of the galaxy, ultimately finding sanctuary on Syraos VI, the homeworld of the Kingdom of Hujako. With the conclusion of the Heresy and the subsequent reforms imposed by Roboute Guilliman, Primarch of the Ultramarines, the Imperium embarked on the monumental undertaking of the 2nd Founding. The dissolution of the vast Legions necessitated the creation of independent Chapters to safeguard the Imperium’s fragile future. Now aged and battle-hardened, Xur-Yi Akuma, carrying the wisdom and scars of countless conflicts, gathered the remnants of his White Scars Brotherhood Company. Leading them on a solemn pilgrimage across the stars, he forged a new Chapter amidst the darkness of the Imperium. Thus, the Phantom Prophets were born, their foundations built upon Akuma’s indomitable will and unparalleled experience. As their first Chapter Master, he became both architect and beacon for their legacy, imbuing the fledgling Chapter with the honor, discipline, and ferocity that would define them for millennia to come.
  • Dai Hakaisha Bro’mao Jokuo - Bro’mao Jokuo, known as "The Void Ogre," was the 4th Dai Hakaisha (Chapter Master) of the Phantom Prophets. Under his command, the Chapter achieved a decisive victory against the Bleeding Veil Warband of the Night Lords. After obliterating the enemy ship, Jokuo ordered his Legionnaires to extract information from the surviving heretics, demanding they reveal their origins. When the heretics refused to divulge any details, Jokuo coldly commanded the execution of all remaining traitors before personally overseeing the destruction of the ship, ensuring no trace of the enemy remained.

After the chapter was founded in the early 31st Millennium, this vessel was gifted to the Chapter for their unrelenting penance of seeking forgiveness from their "God-Primarch" Jaghatai Khan and wishing well on their endeavours. Throughout its service, this vessel has undergone many changes and egregious repairs to its hulls and mainframe to fit for the Chapter's culture and aesthetic, moreover, its weapons and anti-shield volkite destructor installed in its front frame. This ships's unique distinguishment from other Battle-Barges is the front frame having a gaping snarled maw that is installed with many void weapons that can render any ship's inner hulls into melting sludge in outer space.

Chapter Armoury[]

Chapter Specific Equipment
Agito V Jet Thruster

an STC schematic of the Vacuus-Pattern Jet Thruster.

  • Vacuus Pattern Jet Thruster - taking the schematics of the Jump Packs from the standard power armour, these jet thrusters have been modified to be equipped into Tactical Dreadnought Armour, specifically Indomitus Pattern Terminator Armour. These jet thrusters are given to the Honour Guards of the Chapter to protect their chapter master. upon activation, these jet thrusters can last a total of 5 seconds before overheating for a total of 30 minutes, The jet thrusters equipped on the terminator can allow the terminator, while in constant motion, to dash forward quickly or maneuver quickly while still being a colossal tank of a monster. The issue with the jet thruster is that whenever a terminator overuses it too much, it causes the jet thruster to malfunction and could cause the engines within the thrusters to actually explode, which may kill the terminator. which the manufacturers decided to allow the jet thrusters to be used under limited conditions before shutting off, which may lead the terminator to rely on their own maneuverability to attack or protect their chapter masters.
  • Culvera Pattern Weaponery - A set of Hujakian weapons that the Phantom Prophets have accustomed using throughout their history of fighting the enemies of Mankind, each weapon has given its purpose to serve their duties during combat and while they're unique in their own design, they demonstrate a feat of swift swings and heavy power, from the standard chainsword to the massive-headed power hammer.
  • Oni-Ton "Hwacha" Pattern Siege Turret - A uniquely designed siege turret that was forged from the hands of the forgeworld Agito V, with the administration of the Phantom Prophets for their thirst of destruction, this weapon is intended for siege breakage and tear down fortresses from the distance. Much of this pattern has been surfaced to many chapters to field out their needs of utter devastation.
  • Heishu Pattern Bastion Shields - these strong shields are given to the Kaishu Senshi (Company Champions) of the Chapter, not a single blow from a heavy bolter or a powerful shot of a Melta nor Rocket Launcher can pierce through these shields as they're made from the lost materials of the Syraos VI.
  • Sabaki Pattern Bolter/Pistol - The average patterns of the Chapter's own Bolters, ranging from the standard Bolt Pistol to the rough Heavy Bolter, this pattern, coming from the manufacturers of Agito V, enhances the firerate of the bolters during combat. Much more powerful than a singular Storm Bolter, a standard Bolter of the Sabaki Pattern is considered an essential tool to rid skirmishes or ambushes in small amounts of time.
  • Chainswords weapon varients - The forges of Agito V, dedicated to the needs of the Phantom Prophets, have crafted chainswords with varying sizes tailored to each marine's combat preferences. Unlike the standard Chainsword of the Imperium, these weapons feature curved grips and edges, making them deadlier in skilled hands. Despite their lethal design, the chainswords are as light as a feather, feeling like a simple wooden stick when wielded. This unique balance allows the Phantom Prophets to adapt their weapon's size and handling, making them highly effective in the heat of close-combat engagements.
STC Schematic Krutos

an STC schematic of the Krutos Pattern Terminator Armour.

  • Krutos Pattern Terminator Armour - The Indomitus Pattern Terminator Armour, a much heavier and more durable variant, is master-crafted by the chapter’s forgemasters and entrusted to the elite veterans of the Honour Guard, whose duty is to protect their Chapter Master at all costs. Significantly heavier than standard Terminator Armour, its enhanced durability surpasses earlier iterations while still allowing for swift evasive maneuvers and strikes. Equipped with the Vacuus Pattern Jet Thruster, this armour transforms an Honour Guard into an unstoppable force, turning them into a relentless killing machine on the battlefield.
  • Eviscerator weapon varients/sizes - Given how the Phantom Prophets' Gene-Seed can make them slightly taller and extremely muscular, the marines of the Chapter can hold a Eviscerator in one hand by ease or two-handed as if it were an average Chainsword; for many sizes of these massive Eviscerators, for a single Eviscerator it can turn a massive figure into a splash of visera and gore in a matter of seconds.
  • Flameable Weapons/Glaives - For Veterans, Company Champions or even Lieutenants of the Chapter, these long and sturdy Power Spears or Power Swords emit a blazing ember from the sheath of the blades. Upon activation, it can cut through Terminator Armour like butter; the power emitter within the spears can be overheated if long usage of the spear is imminent.
  • Vindex Pattern Land Raider - With the aid of the Forgeworld of Agito V and the Phantom Prophets' own taste of destruction, taking different types of chassis of land raiders, specifically Land Raider Redeemer. The unique attachment to the tank is the equipped autocannon barrel that shoots macro-missiled rockets that burn upon contact and produce very effective destruction in the battlefield.
  • Mark VII Higen Sub-Pattern Power Armour - At the founding of the Phantom Prophets, the Chapter faced severe shortages of standard power armour after the conclusion of the Horus Heresy. To address this, the Chapter’s three Masters of the Forge broke away from the rigid doctrines of Mars, focusing on salvaging and adapting older designs to rapidly equip their growing ranks. This effort led to the development of the Mark VII Higen Sub-Pattern Power Armour, a versatile design that fused elements from multiple marks, ensuring swift production and deployment. A key feature of the Mark VII Higen Sub-Pattern is its ease of integration with the enhanced physiology of the Phantom Prophets. Due to the Chapter’s high percentage of hypertrophy and increased muscle mass stemming from their unique gene-seed, this armour is crafted to fit their powerful physiques seamlessly. Marines can equip it with ease, despite its heavy protection, allowing for both increased strength and agility on the battlefield. While its design shares similarities with the Mark V Heresy Pattern, the Higen Sub-Pattern boasts greater durability, providing superior protection to the Chapter’s warriors, especially their esteemed veterans, as they face the Imperium’s most dangerous threats.
Chapter Relics
Relic Deathwatch Blade

Blade Of Redemption

  • Blade of Redemption - A Master-crafted Power Sword in the shape of a Dao blade, a blade has been in the hands of the Battle-Brothers of the Chapter who served a Vigil in the Deathwatch. This blade, when activated, ignites a neon jade lightning from the hilt that can cut through the stoutest of armour, including Terminator Armour.
Relic Combi-Bolter

Ikari-no Saibankan, The Enraged Judge

  • Ikari-no Saibankan - Known as "The Enraged Judge", a Post-heresy Combi-Volkite with the extension of the plasma gun, a devastating power resides within this weapon of the past; its head is formed into the shape of the inhabitant animals of the Chapter's Syraos VI. When being activated, it unleashes a loud echoing roar from its barrels; a shot from this weapon can leave a dent in a Super-Heavy Tanks. This weapon is currently kept in vaults within statis chambers as this weapon is too destructive and dangerous to be used during battlefields.
PP Banehammer (Thunder Hammer)

The Banehammer

  • Banehammer - The Banehammer is the oldest and most revered relic weapon within the Chapter's armory. Its name is derived from the Astra Militarum's Super Heavy Tank, it was given to the most veteran of the Honour Guards to the chapter, its surface is engraved with religious markings and sigils of the chapter, preventing this weapon from ever being corrupted from the wrong hands; its strikes are that of the thunderous roar of a mythical creature, capable of being wielded either one-handed or two-handed, This hammer incorporates an energy field that, when activated, protects the wielder from any heavy attacks, even fending off from sundering blasts from artillery.
Relic Power Sword

Jadecryoen

  • Jadecryoen - A relic power sword with a distinctive curved edge and a shimmering jade-green blade that emits an icy mist when activated. Steeped in history, it has been wielded by the most veteran Marines of the Phantom Prophets, marking countless battles and legendary deeds. Though kept as a secondary weapon, it is a prized possession of the Chapter Champion, called upon in dire moments to deliver swift and decisive strikes.
  • Shattered Mongolus - A Relic Storm Shield that contains razor-sharp brazen teeth in a circular formation at the end of the shield. Forged from the Iron Juggernauts Chapter and handed to the Phantom Prophets as a gift, the shield acts both as a defensive and offensive tool of war, capable of blocking the roughest of incoming attacks, and its teeth are strong enough to cleave a foe in half.
  • Vindicta Oni - An ancient relic from a forgotten piece of armour, presumedly the Mark I "Thunder" Power Armour, due to Thunder Warriors wearing Oni-Masks during the Unification Wars. This relic itself dates back to the Great Crusade, when one of the Captains donned this mask as a mark of death to the enemies of Mankind. Sigils and inscriptures are engraved into the mask to honour the fallen brothers who used the mask during combat.
Lost Relics
Ancient Relic Chapter Master Grav Bike

Gekido-no Kettōshi

  • Gekido-no Kettōshi - Known as "Furious Gladiator", this ancient Jetbike has served the chapter ever since the chapter's founding, although it is a lost arechotech from the legions of old, it served as transportation for the Chapter Masters of the chapter to arrive at the battlefield in a quick matter. It is now lost from the Chapter's Armory, and its whereabouts are nigh impossible to re-locate.
Relic Combi-Volkite

Sekai Da Hakaisha, The Destroyer Of Worlds

  • Sekai Da Hakaisha - This ancient Combi-Bolter, known as "The Destroyer of Worlds", with the addition of the rare technology of Volkite Charger, can be dated back during the Horus Heresy. An efficient tool of destruction in the hand of the previous wielder, Trojal Jamakhor, a former Moritat of the White Scars, serving in the 433th Brotherhood company, this weapon was deemed too dangerous to continue its service during the Heresy as it ended up being destroyed by the Phantom Prophets after they discovered its stash from a lost stash in the White Scars' armoury, preventing the weapon from being used in the wrong hands.
Lost Relic Armour PP

A lost schematic STC of the Mark III "Shi" Pattern Power Armour - Armour of Black Death

  • Armour of Black Death - An ancient and valuable piece of armour largely favoured during the Horus Heresy by the many Legion Destroyer Squads and Legion Breacher Squads. Made for efficiency and to meet durability requirements, almost all of the information about this pattern of armor was lost or expunged from the imperial records alongside the schematics, STCs, and the Forgeworld that manufactured it. The suite of armour looks like it shares similarities with the similar old Mk III Iron Armour but with additional components to further reinforce not only the structure but the energy flaw, as the power pack shows to have been modified to hold strong energy amplifiers. Even with this additional raw power, the suits suffer a similar flaw of the Mk III and results cumbersome compared with far more recent designs. In M36, only one suit of this ancient armour is believed to be around, residing in the vaults of the Phantom Prophets' Flagship Armoury alongside others more terrible relics from the past. It is rumored that if the Adeptus Mechanicus could obtain the STC of such an ancient pattern, could be not only capable of further improving the design and limiting its flaws but could be able to produce in numbers high enough to resupply almost every Adeptus Astartes Chapters.

White Scars
White Scars Lightning Icon
The Phantom Prophets, hailing from the heritage of Jaghatai Khan, have deep and boundless respect for their predecessors, the White Scars. for many years, the Phantom Prophets would always celebrate themselves as the proud sons of the Khan and often send gruesome and grisly trophies to the White Scars as a tribute for their unrelenting dedication for the Emperor. Moreover, the White Scars would reward the Phantom Prophets war equipments or weapons to further continue their resolve of serving in the name of the Great Khagan.
Iron Juggernauts
Iron Juggernauts Armorial
The relationship between the Phantom Prophets and the Iron Juggernauts, despite both Chapters hailing from the ancient 2nd Founding, is a friendship that's considered an unbreakable bond of brotherhood, with their differences and cultures inequality, the Phantom Prophets view the Iron Juggernauts as rather the successful of all Sons of Khan, with this belief, it strengthens the friendship between these two Chapters and makes them rather have a fanatical state to make their God-Primarch proud. After the conclusion of the Clash of Iron between the Iron Juggernauts and other Iron Warriors warbands, it was the Phantom Prophets who came to the aid of the Iron Juggernauts and swept the battlefield with the reinforcements of their Fire-Support company. Even though victory was achieved, it didn't compensate for the devastating losses both Chapters suffered, and it was a burden that the Phantom Prophets have carried upon their shoulders to avenge the fallen brothers of their neighboring Iron Juggernauts.
The Mastodons
The Mastodon Armorial
The bond between the Phantom Prophets and the Mastodons traces its origins to a time when the Sons of the Khan almost faced imminent annihilation during the Great War of Primal Tide in M42. It was through this critical juncture that the foundations of a deep and enduring brotherhood were laid, one marked by a mutual respect for the distinct strengths of each chapter. The Phantom Prophets held a profound admiration for the Mastodons’ relentless drive for destruction, while the Mastodons recognized the Prophets' commitment to survival and their mastery in the forges. This bond, founded on genuine camaraderie, is further exemplified by their shared love for combat in the gladiatorial arenas of Zekya and their collaborative craftsmanship within the Prophets' own flagship forges. Though their lineages differ, the relationship between these two chapters can be epitomized in a single word: benevolence.
Iron Hands
Iron Hands Armorial
The Iron hands, formerly being a Space Marine Legion who continued to be cold-hearted and relentless sons of Ferrus Manus, have taken a liking with the Phantom Prophets. Both of these Chapters value strength above all else and perish any weakness within themselves, with the Phantom Prophets often viewing the Iron Hands as their greatest sense of advancement: to evolve to higher heights of strength and power and overcome their obstacles.
Silver Templars
Silver Templars Armourial
Despite the Phantom Prophets being an ancient Chapter after the Horus Heresy, their calm and welcoming nature have managed to capture the eyes of various other Ultima Founded Chapters, and one of these Chapters are the Silver Templars. Originating from Guilliman himself, their philosophy and doctrines share the equality of the Phantom Prophets, which built their relationship through the way of the sword and their ruthless way of proving themselves superior than others, which helps the Phantom Prophets to reciprocate in kind matter.
Rising Sons
Rising Sons Armorial
The relationship between the Rising Sons and the Phantom Prophets is a paragon of honor, where both Chapters demonstrate heroic feats and a shared commitment to protecting their brothers, and despite the Rising Sons being a younger Chapter from a later Founding, the Phantom Prophets regard them as chosen heirs to carry their legacy, bound by a mutual love for battle that forges an unbreakable bond of brotherhood, deepened through countless campaigns that have strengthened their friendship and solidified their unity in loyalty, valor, and duty.

Marines Malevolant
Marines Malevolent Armorial Updated
The Phantom Prophets have condemned the arrogant Marines Malevolent, declaring, 'They follow the path of dishonor; they are no true Astartes.' This deep-rooted contempt stems from the Prophets’ commitment to honor, clashing sharply with the Marines Malevolent’s brutal tactics and disregard for life. To the Prophets, the Marines Malevolent are nothing more than hounds held by chains that should never be loosened. Despite observing their tactics and strategies, the Phantom Prophets refuse to see them as allies, even though they share allegiance to the Emperor.
Void Vultures
Void Vulture armourial
The Phantom Prophets have marked this chapter as a failed attempt to form allies among the Somnum stars region, their own remorseless pride had taken priority and left them to attack the Void Vultures at their homeworld, effectively poking the hornets nest and taking the full brunt of it. Only reason why the chapters arent at odd are due to intervention of the Void Vulture chaplain, who saw no point in the pointless show of bravado , and the impending orc invasion of the worlds within the system the Void Vultures reside in. For the Phantom Prophets the chaplain of the Void Vultures is seen as a crazed maniac who's strings run deep , and the warriors are being lead to their eventual demise... Emperor preserve them..
Destroyers of Worlds
DOW Armorial
The relationship between the Phantom Prophets and the Destroyers Of Worlds can be summarized in one word and that is "suspicion". Given how the Destroyers of Worlds innact their total destruction on the battlefield, whereas the Phantom Prophets keep it as a reserve for when the battle is at its thickest. Moreover, the Phantom Prophets, despite both chapters hailing from the same lineage, abhore the tactics and strategies of the Destroyers Of Worlds. Both for the safety of the Battle-Brothers and their numbers from utter destruction.
Inquisition
Inquisition Logo Fancy
The Inquisition, despite being a body organization in the Imperium, has sullied the proud honour of the Phantom Prophets, and the Sons of the Khan have viewed the Inquisition as nothing more than barking hounds who get into the businesses of Space Marine Chapters who are doing the Emperor's Will. With the Phantom Prophets utilizing much of their combat doctrine, much of their tactics involve eradicating the enemy and demolishing the enemy commanders on the battlefield. The inquisition, with their right to interrogate and punish their oppressors, has a hard time gaining intel, while the Phantom Prophets end up rendering their work to absolute nothing. Hence the relationship between these two forces is forever thorny on their sides.

Iron Warriors
Iron Warriors Armorial
The relationship between the Iron Warriors and Phantom Prophets are a rivalery that is considered both vengeance, hatred and spite for one another, given how the Iron Warriors are the Sons of Perturabo, the Phantom Prophets mock the Traitor 4th Legion by their siege warfare and use their own methods of war against them, all to belittle the Iron Warriors' worth, only in the destruction of the 4th Legion would only satiate the unending vengeance that the sons of the Khan have always craved to satiate ever since the destruction of their homeplanet, Syraos VI during the Abyssal Campaign.
World Eaters

"All ambition but no honour" is the best way to describe how distasteful and dishonorable the hounds of Angron are in the eyes of the Phantom Prophets, for the Phantom Prophets view the World Eaters as nothing more than barking dogs who only enjoy the meaning of slaughter. The Phantom Prophets would ensure the erasure of the World Eaters' until there is no more Sons of Angron; for in the Phantom Prophets' traditions is to keep the beast must be tamed within to better use it in combat, the World Eaters, despite sharing many storied glories back in the Great Crusade, have failed in the assessment of becoming worthy and honored combatants in war.
