Pendragon Allarus, most commonly known in latest Imperial history as the Golden Terminator, is a venerable shield-captain of the legendary Adeptus Custodes, the elite bodyguards of the Emperor who guard the Imperial Palace and the Golden Throne against outside threats. A very stubborn warrior, Peragon has always remained at his Lord's side, being constantly assigned to the Companions in order to watch over mankind's God.
When Roboute Guilliman arrived at Holy Terra, he ordered that the golden warriors were recruited to his Indomitus Crusade to aid in the reconquest of lost territories after the birth of the Great Rift, no longer staying idle while the Imperium crumbles and deteriorates. The shield-captain Allarus was one of the custodian officers sent to aid in the crusade, his company's primary mission beig that of escorting veteran military forces to reinforce Imperial border worlds against Tyrannid splinter fleets.
Although reluctant to leave the Emperor and go into battle, duty requested he obeyed the new Lord Commander of the Imperium and, without protest, departed with his brothers to accomplish his mission. It was during this time that Pendragon became one of the most revered figures among humanity's military organizations, as he was of vital importance in the conflict known as Termination Incident, a bloody campaign fought between loyal and chaos forces that tested the might and bravery of all the heroic souls involved in it.
History[]
From Mortal to Demigod[]
Pendragon Allarus was born among the nobility of Holy Terra sometime during the 32nd millenium sometime after the infamous War of The Beast. His early life as a mortal is poorly recorded, with no relevant information in Imperial libraries such as his exact birth date or prior name. What is known is that he was his family's oldest male son and, as such, was destined since young age to join the Ten Thousand.
Before the end of the millenium, he was recruited and went through the excruciating bio-engineering to become one of the custodian guards, a dangerous process from wich not many survive. After this, he would be indoctrinated in one of the institution's orders, honed into the perfect weapon that are all members of the custodes. Reports from inside the golden warrior's ranks are scarce and, many times, conflictuous, especially regarding specific individuals such as in this case.
What is known about Pendragon's ascension in the hierarchy is that he was a sublime warrior, both in physical capabilities and tactical strategium, exeeding all expectations in his trainings. Besides combat simulations, the custodian also took part in several confrontations throughout millenia against threats to the Emperor's sacred resting place, such as the Siege of the Eternity Gate and the diplomatic mission known as Envoys to the Omnisiah.
After several of these successful military expeditions, in the year of 901, M41, Allarus was finally elevated to the esteemed rank of shield-captain, receiving 40 shield-bothers to command in battle as he'd please. This came at a time when Trajan Valoris had ascent to the position of captain-general, having as his primary policy to stop the isolationist behavior of the custodians, making sure they do not alienate from external affairs anymore.
Although the now shield-company leader would have prefered to maintain his brothers at the disposal of the companions to forever guard the inner sanctum of the Imperial Palace, dark events were slowly but surely unfolding around the galaxy, events from wich Pendragon Allarus would have no choice but to participate, and he was going to be a central, key part in all of them.
Termination Incident[]
With the return of Lord Commander Roboute Gmilliman to life, the beggining of a new phase in Imperial history began: the lndomitius Era. A gigantic crusading force comprised of every military asset the Imperium had to offer, including the new primars space marines, mustered around Holy Terra to fight the horrors that the Imperium was facing, as to assure mankind's stability and survivability.
After the Second Battle of Terra, a bloody conflict between humanity's capital defending forces and the daemonic legions of the Blood God Khorne, the Ultramarine's Pimarch Roboute Gmilliman recruited several of the custodians to depart with other groups of interest in his crusade for reconquest. One such custodian officer was Pendragon Allarus. Assigned to the 126th Expeditionary Fleet alongside his shield-brother Lancelot Aquilon and several other veterans from different Imperium's militaries, his mission would be to escort these invaluable reinforcements to strategic planets in the Segmentum Solar's borders.
During the travell through the warp, however, disaster would struck. The battleship in wich Pendragon was suddenly got thrown out of the Immaterium, separated from the rest of its fleet. At their font, layed to ships of similar size and deign, yet they were no friends. These misterious voidcrafts bore the markings of the Plague God Nurgle and the Changer of Ways Tzeentch each. Without warning, the every crafts shoot with their concentrated firepower in the loyalist ship's engines, making it start too fall unto an unknown planet below.
Falling on the back of a mountain range, their ship completely, the imperial forces, comprising of, besides the two shield-companies, five companies from different Adeptus Astartes chapters, one brotherhood of the Grey Knights, two knightly houses representatives, a host of Sisters of Silence and a regiment of the Astra Millitraum, saw themselves in a barren wasteland, unable to leave or, much to their dismay, communicate with outworldly allies, as the astropaths reported a strong interference in the warp.
As loyalists assessed their losses and made preparations to set fortifications, the chaos servants who prepared such trap started to fall fom atmosphere, innumerous droppods and thunderhawks leaving their numbers in the far end of the valley the Imperial ship fell. Among them were not only chaos space marines and countless fanatical cultists, but daemonic influence could be felt already, and their figures did not take long to be spotted.
Months of Siege were ahead of the brave Imperial warriors who stood against the void, unshaken and unbroken. Countless lives would be taken on both sides, but in the end, only one of the sjdes could leave the planet victorious.

Adeptus Astartes[]
Pendragon Allarus, just like many of his shield-brothers, nurtured a deep grudge against the Space Marines as he believes they and their gene-fathers were responsible for the Horus Heresy and the ultimate fall of the Emperor. For this reason, he was never eager to fight alongside them. However, after facing several chaotic threats alongside astartes veterans during the Termination Incident, the shield-captain would come to appreciate the courage, boldness and loyalty of the chapters in combat.
