The Orion Star Fort is a large Space Station in the Segmentum Ultima. It is specialised in production of Space Marine Armour and weapons. It also serves as a training-station and as a stop-over for smaller space ships.
It is a civilised and organised space station, in which the civilians are safe and can live a good life. It is ruled by President-Commander James Audrey. But nevertheless it still has a criminal underworld. Certain sections are not allowed to be entered, only if one is a Soldier of the Astra Militarum or a Space Marine. These sections are home to brutal gangs.
History[]
The Orion Star Fort was made during the Great Crusade, to produce and supply more Space Marine Armour. It was attacked several times by Chaos and Drukhari forces, but managed to drive them back every time.
During the Horus Heresy the Orion Star Fort was mainly untouched, but a few cultists managed to infiltrate it. They were quickly hunted down and killed by the resident Guardsmen. But it the cultists managed to lai the seeds for the future Underworld of the Space Station.
In 680.M35 the Orion Star Fort was besieged by Drukhari forces. The Xenos had managed to get in connection with the resident Underhive. Being promised complete control over the Space Staton, they allied with the Xenos. Being attacked from outside and from the inside, the Space Station struggled with keeping the upper hand. The Drukhari had managed to enter the Space Station and slaughtered the defences. On the inside soldiers and commanders kept disappearing. Surely the gangs where behind it. Only after the Iron Drakes Chapter sent reinforcements, the imperial forces managed to drive the Xenos back. But certain sections of the Star Fort where forever lost to the gangs of the Underworld.

The Defence of the Orion Star Fort consists of Ground and Air Forces, as well of a Navy.
Ground Forces[]
- Iron Drakes: It is unknown exactly how many of these Space Marines are stationed on the Star Fort, however it is rumoured that only those Iron Drakes that where sent as reinforcements during the Drukhari-attack are at the Space Station. They are manly there for last defences and the protection / evacuation of the civilians.
- Night Guard: There are about a 100 Night Guard Soldiers at the Star Fort. These Space Marines have control over the resident Navy and are one of the primari defence forces. They counter attack the enemy and rescue any captured civilians.
