Luvia is a daemon serving Slaanesh, but before she became a daemon, she was a daughter and was chosen to become the daughter of the Emperor. She was placed with the Pronatus Order, the Order of the Dawn, where she served the Imperium well, but everything changed one day. On the day she took the Oath of Repentance, she joined Sister Julia Sansoucy and began admiring her and sharing her views. During a battle on Zargoth, Sister Julia turned her back on the Imperium and Luvia, among others, joined her. They created a warband called the Sisters of the Night. This warband was a mockery of the Order of the Dawn. Luvia did well in the warband and enjoyed capturing Space Marines and trying to turn them into a life of servitude of Slaanesh. She succeeded on many occasions. Her failures would send her into a frenzy where she would destroy the Marine and most other captives the Sisters of the Night kept for entertainment. After her death, Slaanesh returned her as a daemon known as The Favoured One, The Repentant One. Slaanesh was amused when Haute Maitresse Luvia mocked the Oath of Repentance and used it to repent to Slaanesh. Of course, this was a ruse to get her captive to feel sorry for her. She has been returned to the warp thrice since she became a daemon. Once Sister Bethany "The Blessed" Federova did the honours, and the second time Nathaniel Roth killed her, and the third time, it was her father.

Biography[]

Luvia Savant was born to a loving family, her father being a member of the local Imperial guard; she was taken at a later age than usual to join the Schola progenia. Her training went well, she could have been a stronger fighter, but she did show promise when it came to her curiosity and gift for collecting data and understanding the world around her. Her studies placed her in a Pronatus Order called the Order of the Dawn. She did well there but eventually felt like she wasn't serving the Emperor to her full potential and, she wanted to see action, so she joined the group that went to the Brentley mission, where her mind was tainted by chaos remained dormant for a time. When she realised, she was having impure thoughts; she took the oath of Repentance. As a Sister Repentia, she was not exceptional, she did everything as it should be, but during a battle on Zargoth, she chose to leave the Imperium behind and fell to Slaanesh with Sisters Julia, Belle, Sabine and Mila.

This was when they boarded a ship that belonged to a Slaaneshi warband, and with Luvia leading the coup, they overtook the warband and started the Slaaneshi warband, the Sisters of the Night. Julia was the official leader of the warband, but Luvia had a much more critical role. She would turn as many Astartes as she could against the Imperium. She succeeded with the Red Crusaders Verator and also with the Verum Illuminate seeker Nathaniel Roth. Her methods were so convoluted that sometimes, even the warband wondered if she had decided to save the poor Astartes she had taken. She would use the ports on their backs and implant an IV line next to those ports. This would make it impossible for the Astartes to remove them because they were out of reach These lines sent a constant flow of drugs into their systems. She would bring them laced food and pretend no one knew she was helping them. She was talented at playing the victim and forged a relationship or friendship with her captives, allowing her to acquire their trust.

Luvia took the oath of Repentance because she feigned feelings for the Marines, creating trust. Slaanesh enjoyed all the intense feelings from her mockery of love and the Astarte captives. Upon her death on Stygian, he granted her daemon hood and gave her razor-sharp wings with millions of little needles embedded which could drug the enemy and razor-sharp claws. She also got the gift of exceptional beauty. The issue was that she was obsessed with Nathaniel Roth and haunted him for the rest of his life until he finally tried to kill as many of the warband as he could and take Luvia along with him. He autodestructed his armour and died in the blast. Fortunately, Luvia was not killed. She took what was left of Roth and wept for years, begging Slaanesh to return her favourite project to life, but he enjoyed her misery too much. He gave her false hope so that he could revel in it.

Personality[]

Luvia Savant was curious, always wanting to increase the knowledge of the Imperium. She was a devout member of the Adepta Sororitas and would treat friends with kindness and the enemy with complete hatred and purge them without hesitation. When she took the oath of Repentance, she was genuinely Repentant for her moment of doubt and was seeking forgiveness by doing the Emperor's work, and hopefully, he would grant her mercy, and she would be absolved, but, things changed. Once she became a Sister of the Night, she was cruel, devious and manipulative. She mocked and teased and no longer cared for anything but turning her captives and living every moment to the fullest. She wanted to experience everything, as her curiosity had never left her, and she became obsessive—the source of her obsession, an Astarte. As a daemon, this all remained true, but it was increased exponentially and having the power to share her experience and to manipulate people into doing what she wanted making her increasingly power-hungry. Her obsession, she believed, had turned into love, and she chose to always be near Nathaniel Roth. She would nudge him in the right direction and cajole him, while he thought he was sleeping but in reality, she was up to her old tricks, keeping him drugged and manipulating him. Luvia is now vain and thinks that most other people and cultists around her are simple-minded and believes she is smarter and better than them. Now Luvia is a mix of angry, devastated, sad, hopeful and disillusioned as she waits for Slaanesh to return Roth to life as he had promised.

Notable Campaigns[]

  • The turning point - This is the battle where the Sisters Repentia were called into action against a Slaaneshi warband that had been activated on Zargoth. This campaign is notable as it is when Luvia Savant decided to leave the Emperor and the Adepta Sororitas behind to follow Julia Sansoucy, Belle, Mila and Sabine. Instead of fighting the Slaaneshi warband, they taunted and play fought with them, eventually leaving behind their Sisters and creating, together, the warband the Sisters of the Night. During the last moments of this battle, Julia killed the High Mistress of Repentia and the small group left with the warband that had been invading Zargoth.
  • Attack on Stygian - Luvia and Julia had orchestrated the final test for the Verum Illuminate seeker Nathaniel Roth. Most of the forces, including Julia Sansoucy, were sent to the front gates of the fortress-monastery while a small team, including Luvia and Roth, were sent in to steal the scriptures from the Verum. It is unknown how Alessander Vek, Roman Somek and other loyalist forces of the Verum Illuminate were alerted by this intrusion. This would be the last battle of Luvia Savant; the human turned chaos worshipper. During this battle, Roth turned on her and took her by surprise, killing her. The rest of the small group of Sisters of the Night were killed, and Roth was thought to be dead. Fortunately, he was saved and sent out as a hunter to kill every last member of the Sisters of the Night.
  • The year long war - Although most of the events of the attack on the fortress-monastery of the Red Crusaders, the second temple, took place, Luvia was present, but she had been trapped in a Nurgle crystal. She had been fighting a daemon for almost a year since she had been trapped by the interaction of Sister Bethany's own stone on her gauntlet and the Nurgle crystal. She fought a daily battle with a daemon of Nurgle inside the crystal to survive. She affected Roth's dreams and subconscious when she was winning against her target, but Roth would be sick when she failed in the battle. The Nurgle crystal affected him depending on who had the advantage, until during the battle of the Second Temple, Nathaniel Roth accidentally released her from the crystal he wore at the centre of the Aquila on his chest armour. While battling the Sisters of the Night with the Red Crusaders, he unknowingly released the Slaaneshi daemon onto the battlefield. When she was released, when took stock of the situation and realised that Roth would be killed in this battle. Surprisingly, she chose to help him and fought the immediate threat. When she turned back, she saw him overtaken by a dozen or more slaaneshi sisters. She turned to join the group and flew at them quickly and with unclear intentions. She could not stop serving the dark prince, but she also could let her Roth get killed by those incompetent girls. Before she could make a decision, she had almost reached him. He made eye contact with her for a moment; then an explosion took place. The Sisters that had attacked Roth all lay dead on the ground. Roth lay there motionless. Luvia gathered what she could of his body and disappeared with it. She lay in grief in sorrow by his side for years, waiting for the dark prince to fulfil his promise and return Roth to her, but it never happened, for Slaanesh loved her grief, hope and despair too much.
  • Imperial intervention on Sondown - Luvia was summoned during an altercation between the Imperial Guard, the Sisters of the Order of the Rising Phoenix and the Sisters of the Blazing Horizon. The Sisters of the Night summoned her to join the battle, not because the chaos forces were losing in Pyotrgrad but because they thought it would be fun to watch her decimate the Imperial troops. Luvia was upset with the summoning, as she said she had been busy, but when she turned on the army fighting behind her, she took to the sky and started to release poisoned and drug-filled needles into the guardsmen at the front of the battle. This tactic was effective as either the guardsmen fell dead or were too drugged up to fight correctly. This is when Lord Militant Boris Savant caught her eye. She swooped down and caught him in her claws, and they teleported away. When they returned, Luvia told the Lord Militant to kill her, so he did. He was then taken to be questioned, per protocol, to see if he had been tainted by chaos. The chaos army of the sorcerer Pallas was neutralised, and the Imperium reclaimed the world.

Specialization and Abilities[]

Luvia's speciality as a Sister of the Night was capture and turn. She was a great manipulator, and torturer and good at choosing just the right Marine for her to change. She preferred to turn Astartes rather than participate in recruiting because recruiting was not a challenge for her. But who would say no to happiness and pleasure? So, she left that work to Mila, Belle and Sabine. She enjoyed the challenge of following her chaos sense and capturing her target, then playing the victim so they would connect with her and finally be turned.

Once she became a daemon of Slaanesh, her fighter skills and abilities were magnified exponentially. As a gift from the Dark Prince, she also had gained perfect beauty and large leathery wings that shot small poison or drug-laced needles and long razor-sharp claws. She took pleasure in destroying the enemies of the dark Prince, with her bare hands, instead of relying on an eviscerator. She still captured some of her targets and kept them as toys, but some were meant to be turned and sent back into the Imperium to spread the chaos taint.

Appearance[]

Luvia Savant was originally a 5'6" tall woman with blond hair and blue eyes. She was slim and muscular and wore the Order of the Dawn's light blue and silver armour. Once she joined the Repentia, her hair was shaved, and she wore strips of her old cloak and purity seals. Although, once she had fallen to chaos, her hair grew back and was pink, she still wore the strips of an old cloak. The new colours are midnight blue and silver. Once she became the favoured one, she grew to 7 feet tall, still wore the pink hair, and donned a cloak that Nathaniel Roth had given to her and was forced to wear when she took an oath of Repentance before Slaanesh. Slaaneesh also blessed her with large leathery wings with millions of tiny needles to inject drugs into her enemy. She also had very sharp blades or claws as fingernails.

Relations[]

Allies[]

  • Sisters of the Night = Luvia, co-founder of the Sisters of the Night, is a strong ally to them. They respect her, and she normally responds to them and helps them whenever they are in need...with the exception of when her favourite Astarte was under attack, she temporarily turned on the warband.
  • Slaaneshi cultists - As a Slaaneshi daemon, she gets along well with most of the Slaaneshi cultists, although some are annoying to her in their simple mindedness.
  • Lord Militant Boris Savant - Luvia has achieved something that she had thought impossible and has made Lord Militant Boris Savant, her father, feel pity for her. He is now her new project as she tries to turn him against the Imperium and to the dark prince. He has, inadvertently, chosen to lie and protect her, which is always her first step in turning someone to chaos. His goal is to protect her so they are allies.

Enemies[]

  • The Chosen- The Sisters of the Order of the Dawn had vowed to eliminate every last one of the Slaaneshi sisters that created a mockery of their order and the Adepta Sororitas as a whole. They created a task force called The Chosen. Luvia, being a former Haute Maitresse turned daemonette, is one of their targets for the task force, which makes them natural enemies.
  • The Imperium - Luvia despises the Imperium as a whole and anyone who refuses the dark prince because it is inconceivable to her that people would choose a world filled with war instead of one filled with pleasure and fulfillment. As such, she sees the people who follow the Imperial creed as being sheep who are not smart enough to make the right choice, which should always be pleasure no matter what form it comes in.

Short Stories[]

  • An Apple for Julia- Briefly mentioned at the end as one of the co-founders of the warband the Sisters of the Night
  • Twisted- Twisted is the story of Luvia turning an Astarte to chaos, or at least, she attempts to.
  • Haunted- Haunted is the story of the same Astarte being haunted by dreams of the ghost of Luvia.
  • Shattered- In shattered, Luvia plays a secondary role as a presence for most of the story.

Notable Quotes[]

By Luvia Savant[]

"Live a little, have fun. There is more to life than fighting, killing and dying. The worlds are yours to explore. Pleasure, happiness, lust, all of which are not allowed by your god, but are really the only reasons for living. The best things in life, I can attest. You do not have to bow to a long dead man who does not care for you. The Emperor does not protect. The Emperor takes. He takes lives, he takes away everything pleasurable in life, brother."
—Luvia Savant to her captive, Nathaniel Roth
