Avarga'avax Sept | ![]() |
The Avarga'avax Sept is a Sept of the T'au Empire founded during the Third Sphere of Expansion. After liberating a planet from oppression and gaining the trust and allegiance of the xenos living there, the Sept began its extensive agriculture and began trading this along with a rare and valuable resource known as star oil found on the moons. Known for their ruthless conduct in battle and their unmatched skill in the arts of subtle infiltration and meticulous ambush planning, they have become a feared force in their area of space. This Sept has not yet come into contact with the Imperium of Mankind and its existence is unknown to Terra. However, due to a nexus breach, they have met and started to clash with the traitors of the human race, the Chaos Warbands and their daemonic allies. Currently, however, the greatest threat that these followers of the Greater Good is none other than the diabolical Necrons and their network of tyranny. By enslaving the innocent people of other planets who have done them no harm, this T'au Sept, due to its strong sense of honour, wages a never-ending crusade to liberate nearby planets and enlighten them, gathering ever-increasing power.
Auxa'nars Sept | ![]() |
![]() |
The Auxa’nars Sept of the T’au Empire is a hardened and militant faction, forged by the storm-ravaged terrain of their homeworld and the scars left by the Imperium’s devastation during the Damocles Crusade. This hardship instilled in them a deep mistrust of humanity, leading them to view Gue'vesa with suspicion, requiring them to prove their loyalty on the battlefield before earning full acceptance. Unlike the esteemed Kroot, Vespids, and Morvakk, humans must fight relentlessly to be recognized within the Sept. The warriors of Auxa’nars, trained in their unforgiving homeland, embody resilience and precision, favoring the Mont’ka (Killing Blow) philosophy for decisive warfare. Their culture is shaped by the ever-present threat of the Stone Wyrms, apex predators subterranean creatures that pose a constant threat to the Prime World of the Sept. Led by the formidable Commander Shas’O Auxa'nars Volganqazdan Mont’yr, or “Steeldragon,” Auxa’nars stand as a testament to endurance and unyielding determination within the T’au Empire. The Sept specializes in survivalist tactics and battlesuit combat. |

Ba’Y Bsum Kais Kor’Rua | A small group of T’au left on an expedition to explore martian worlds during the T’au’s third large expansion event…
They became stranded on a planet they refer to as: Shas Mesme Fio (Fire and Earth)… The hot red sands move like Shas (Fire) in the wind… Over the years, the T’au stranded here became stained red from the sand… The only color that seems to last on their armor is a brilliant blue. Like oceans, fields of blue flowers dominate portions of the martian surface, fed by aquifers (Por sho’aun’or’es [Water, source of power])… The petals can be ground into a paste, and applied to the armor. (You must keep the paint protected while it is drying, as the red sand can still get stuck to the blue paint while it is wet!)
B'bapcha Li'ka'la | ![]() |
The parable of Fireblade Wild Rescue (or Shas'Nel B'bapcha Li'ka'la in the Tau Lexicon) is a minor fable in the Tau Empire. After the defense of the planet Ke'lshan and the Tau's retaliatory destruction of Lilarsus, a small team of Water Caste investigators and propagandists pieced together B'bapcha's biography from debriefings, eyewitness accounts, and partial battlefield footage. Unfortunately, that biography-- an admittedly small cache with very little concrete evidence-- was lost, during the human (or gue'la) siege of Ke'lshan in 760.902.M41. Footage from a Tau VX1-0 Drone-net later confirmed that the Tyranids of Hive Fleet Gorgon digested and destroyed the evidence in 115.903.M41. Despite this, Tau of the Ke'lshan Sept continues to hold up Shas'Nel B'bapcha Li'ka'la as a dark hero of folklore and an example of the dangers posed by aliens-- a controversial interpretation of her story. |

Cal'sean Sept | ![]() |
The Cal'sean Sept is a Tau Empire Sept founded in the 5th Sphere of Expansion. Squished between the Farsight Enclaves and Imperium space. Erra'kau Sept | ![]() |
![]() |
The Erra’kau Sept is a realm of the T’au Empire founded during the Third Sphere of Expansion. Stumbling upon a system that held only a few worlds within the habitable range of the local star, one of which the Tau would find worthy of colonization, and became the new sept's prime world. This planet is covered extensively in swamps and forests with some dry uplands, serving as the perfect hiding spot for the sept’s purposes. On the surface, the citizens of Erra'kau appear to be humble and unassuming, even by the standards of other septs across the Third Sphere Expanse, contributing all they can toward the Greater Good. This is a mask for the real sept and its more covert methods of accomplishing their objectives. In reality, Erra’kau is one of the more secretive septs across the territories of the T’au Empire, specializing in intelligence gathering, stealth operations, and the development of experimental technology that usually remains within the laboratories of the Earth caste. Fire Warriors of the Erra'kau Sept are notable for their patience and almost unshakable resolve, having a callous and methodical approach to warfare in all of its forms. The sept has the Sinirath as a major auxiliary race after saving them from certain extinction, a symbolic gesture that is merely another example of the Greater Good sheltering all in its philosophical teachings. There also exists a large population of Abhumans within the sept's sphere of influence, such as Ratlings and Ogryns. More recently, the Beastmen would join their numbers during the Fifth Sphere of Expansion, utilized as valuable shock troopers within the Fire caste. |

Shas'suam Sept | ![]() |
![]() |
Located on the frontier of Tau space, under the light a gleaming star, lays the nascent Tau Sept known as Shas'suam (Star Flame). Born of the experience of the 4th Sphere and the direction of the 5th, Shas'suam harnesses the very power of the stars themselves to guide them in the galaxy and battle. Though young and small in population. their efforts to integrate multiple former Imperial worlds into the teachings of the Greater Good have given them the strength to make their mark within the Nem'yar Atoll. Exemplifying the teachings of Kauyon, Shas'suam relies on their fleet to project their power, and to construct orbital siege and defence weapons that harness the very power of the stars themselves. Though young, the flame of the Tau Empire burns bright within this Sept, and may continue to do so for many years. |

Ta'tso Sept | N/A | ![]() |
The Ta'tso Sept, located in a red sun system near the Bork'an Sept, prides itself in its strategy and planning. Having inherited T'au from both the Sa'cea and Bork'an Septs after an invasion by the Necrons during their founding in the First Sphere Expansion, their military prowess in strategizing and technology development is unmatched. Their involvement in the Fourth Sphere Expansion is one of the most desperately kept secrets by the Ethereals, and it's not a secret that the Ta'tso are fond of having. However, they continue to mordernize and innovate as one of the most tight-knit Septs under the T'au banner. |
Tau'kyr Sept | (To be added) | (To be added) | The Tau'kyr Sept was formed after a Tau fleet, fleeing from an Ork attack, crash-landed on the lush and dangerous planet of Kyrios'ka. Isolated from the wider Tau Empire, the Tau'kyr had to adapt quickly, leading to the rejection of the Ethereal authority and the establishment of a merit-based society. Over time, they became a fiercely independent sept, focusing on survival, innovation, and expansion in their new home. |
