This oath of allegiance caused them no end of trouble, since they had already had a savage reputation, and allying with the Night Lords did not help them in this regard.
House Romaani is a loyal Questor Imperialis Knight House that stalwartly follows and champions the righteous intent of the Emperor of Mankind. Though they may not view him as a god and ultimately answer to him only out of morality and the oaths of allegiance they swore, this Knight House is nonetheless one of his greatest implements. Made in the glory of the Great Crusade, resilient through the fires of the Horus Heresy, and remade in the destruction of their homeworld and their migration to a new one, their story is filled with nothing but a string of tragedies. Yet true to the iron heart of their engines, and the cold will of their pilots, they march on, determined to bring retribution to any who would threaten the new system they call home.
House Salos was founded in M33 after a Warp Storm cut off the Lomek System from the rest of the Lomek Sector. The most famous Knight in the house is called the Perghast Ionos, the knight used by Phoebe Ionos’ Brother, Bren Ionos. During the Siege of Lomek, many of the Nobles fell to chaos, although many knights were destroyed. The loyalists were quickly killed, and the knight of Bren was stolen under Ionos’s direct order. Currently, the knights have been well-maintained utilizing mundane resources and sorcery alike. Notably, they have been able to be possessed by Saikos Prime, a greater Daemon of the Goddess Saikos. However, this possession will only last temporarily, resulting in the knight becoming inanimate once the Daemonic Essence leaves. Most of the knights have been corrupted by chaos over the years, most notably Slaanesh. However, some remain uncorrupted.
An infamous Chaos Knight House that fell during the bloody reign of Goge Vandire after millennia of faithful service to the Imperium, the once proud and glory seeking Nobles of House Tyrellian have turned to the worship of Slaanesh, and serve their patron with great fanaticism. The House largely acts independently, working as a mercenary force for the various warbands of the Emperor's Children scattered throughout the Eye of Terror, but ultimately they are devoted to the goal of bringing the Imperium under the sway of the Dark Prince, and to that end they have formed an alliance with the Warmaster of Chaos, Abaddon the Despoiler, serving alongside Slaaneshi Chaos Space Marines in the various Black Crusades.

Depending on the High King can this tactic of partly split allegiance work resulting in more ressources from the courting sides or ignorance from both sides and in the worst cases even massive political pressure to remain in line.
House Worldscourer is a Questor Imperialis Knight House located on the infamous hive world of Armageddon. They are a warrior house that values martial prowess and power over tactics and cunning, which is shown in their reckless fighting styles and ruthlessness of the members of this Knight House. Knights who have fought in many campaigns will adorn themselves with the bones of their enemies, as well as their skinless corpses dangling from chains or cages. Due to their psychotic and savage ways, the Inquisition has investigated this knight house many a time to either return knowing that they fight for the Imperium of Man, or to end up as another trophy. This Knight House believes that the Emperor of Mankind is the greatest human fighter to ever have lived and try to live up to it with their savage and brutal fighting, using dirty tricks as well as head-on fights to win battles. They live, die and spill blood in the name of the Emperor.
