While all of the warhost is currently involved in the 13th Black Crusade in some way a couple battalions are part of the armada under the control of Archspinner Akemos of the Cabal of Destiny and is amassing to assault the planet of Troii along with the rest of the forces under his control Including the Plague Ravens.

The Betrayed
The Betrayed Chaos Marine.png
The Betrayed are a Chaos Warband made up of traitorous Astartes that are former members of the Sworn of Guilliman, a formerly Loyalist Space Marine Chapter and sole known Successor Chapter of the Metamarines, created during the 26th Founding. Following the near-annihilation of the Chapter, during the events the now-rebellious Astartes call 'The Betrayal', the renamed Chaos warband, known as The Betrayed, are now slowly drifting towards pure Chaotic corruption - even if its members are still far from true believers - instead favouring the use of minor daemons as auxiliaries in their raids.

Black Devourers
Black Devourers Heretic Astartes.png
The Black Devouers are a notorious Chaos Space Marine Warband that was a formerly Loyalist Space Marine Chapter created during an Unknown Founding. Extant evidence points to this warband hailing from the proud lineage of the noble Rogal Dorn. To the shame of all Scions of Dorn, the fallen Black Devourers are descended from their lineage. They are one of the arch-foes of the Iron Blood Chapter, a feeling which is mutual.

Blood Jaws
Blood Jaws Heretic Astartes 2.png
The Blood Jaws are a formerly Loyalist Chapter of Space Marines created during an Unknown Founding, and from uncertain lineage, in 013.M37. This bellicose and ferocious Chapter was created in order to stand as a bulwark against constant attacks in and around the Eye of Terror, from both the Forces of Chaos and various xenos threats. Unfortunately, within the first century of their creation the Chapter fell from the light of the Emperor, for unknown to them, their first Chapter Master had been corrupted by a Greater Daemon of Khorne. Following their ill-fated sojourn into the Eye of Terror, the Blood Jaws were slowly corrupted by the insidious touch of the Blood God. When they finally emerged, they had been transformed into a large Chaos Warband, wholly dedicated to slaughter and murder. Now they commit the most obscene levels of carnage wherever they go, in tribute to their brutal and bloody deity.
(Excommunicate Traitoris)
Blood Wyverns
Blood Wyverns Heretic Astartes.png
The Blood Wyverns are a notorious Chaos Warband in the service of Chaos Undivided. They were formerly a Loyalist Chapter of the ill-fated 21st 'Cursed' Founding going by the same name. They presumably come from the gene-stock of Roboute Guilliman, though this remains unconfirmed. Despite the fact there were no physical or mental defects with this Chapter, the fear and suspicion of the Imperium had caused them to go rouge when the Blood Wyverns had come to blows with an Inquisitorial Task Force. For the sin of daring to attack representatives of the Inquisition, they were declared renegades. Making their retreat to the farthest edges of Segmentum Pacificus, the Blood Wyverns soon turned to Chaos, however the Warband prefers to keep Chaos at arm's length.
(Excommunicate Traitoris)
Bloodborn Wolves
SW Traitor Deathsworn.png
The Bloodborn Wolves are an infamous Chaos Warband comprised of former Space Wolves Astartes that fell to the worship of the Chaos Blood God, Khorne. Renaming themselves the Bloodborn Wolves, these Heretic Astartes have given themselves over to the beast within, revelling in bloodletting and beastial fury. Now, as Khorne's chosen, they have turned on the Emperor, whom they see as the 'Arch-Sorcerer'. They slaughter all in their path, taking skulls and trophies from their fallen opponents for the glory of the Blood God. The Bloodborn Wolves are split into two factions which are divided into two major sections. They perfectly represent Khorne's dual nature, with some of the group, known simply as "The Bloodborn" - representing martial prowess and honour - while the other side, known as "The Bloodied" - represent corruption, anger and bloodshed.

Bloody Hands
Bloody Hand.png
The Bloody Hands are a Chaos Warband dedicated to Chaos Undivided. Originally they were the Ruby Sabres, a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter from the 15th Founding. The Chapter was known for its close adherence to the Codex Astartes. They defended the Imperium from the countless enemies of Mankind for centuries. Yet one battle-brother would soon make a grave mistake on the world of Thesulia Prime. Now they fight against the Imperium, against those they once swore to protect. A large number of Alpha Legion have found their way into the warband, which the Bloody Hands have accepted with excitement, for any opportunity to sabotage the Imperium that the Alpha Legion uses, the Bloody Hands are glad to assist in.

Blue Hand

Being few in number, the Blue Hand have sought to raise heretical cults on worlds across the Ultima Segmentum. Such cults are known as The Cult of the Blue Hand of Tzeentch. They are dedicated to the Chaos God of change, as are the Blue Hand Marines, and incorporate the Warband’s eponymous sigil into their iconography. The Blue Hand Space Marine Chapter was a respected loyalist force for millenia, before their fall to Chaos. Now, those few Imperials who know of their existence speak their name with the deepest scorn and the fiercest hatred.

Unfortunately, the Iron Invictors' pathological obsession with certain forbidden mysteries and nightmare sciences of the Dark Age of Technology eventually saw them being declared Excommunicate Traitoris, and cast out of the Imperium. Now they are hunted by their former erstwhile brethren, who will not rest until they see this warband utterly destroyed.

Although the core group of members of this warband were all originally Traitor Grey Gorgons, casualties have reduced their number, and it is not known if any still live. Some of the Chapter may have remained loyal and may have even fought during the Centurion War against their former brothers.

Brotherhood of 100
Bro 100 Heretic Astartes.png
The Brotherhood of 100 are an obscure Chaos Warband that was formed during the Moirae Schism from the Iron Hands Chapter's 7th Company in the early years of M35. They were a part of the Iron Hands that were exiled for following this heretical doctrine, and instead of seeking redemption in the eyes of their fellow Iron Hands, they chose to wholeheartedly dedicate themselves to these divergent beliefs. They were eventually declared renegades by the Imperium for making truck with foul xenos and various Chaos Warbands. Choosing to remain apart from their erstwhile brethren, the Brotherhood of 100 continues to operate in isolation, and despite their renegade status, they still believe in the tenets of the Cult Mechanicus and fervently worship the Omnissiah, albeit, in a more corrupt and heretical form.

Carrion Crows
Carrion Crows Heretic Astartes.png
The Carrion Crows are a notorious Chaos Space Marine Warband that were formerly the Loyalist 8th Company of the War Ravens Chapter. In the first century of M35, the strike cruiser carrying the 8th Company was on it's way back to their homeworld after participating in the Repression of Akkad. While still at a considerable distance from the chapter's monastery world of Morrigan, located in the Donorian Sector, astropathic contact was lost mid-communication - presumably due to a sudden warp surge overwhelming the cruiser's geller field. When the cruiser reappeared two centuries later it had been renamed the Carrion Eater and the Heretic Astartes aboard her, now called themselves the Carrion Crows. This warband now operates out of the notorious Hellgates - a pair of relatively small, dual warp storms located in the Segmentum Solar which are located uncomfortably close to Holy Terra.

Crow's Children
Crows Children Chaos Marine(2).png
The Crows Children are a notorious Chaos Warband made up of Heretic Astartes formed from the renegade Order of the Crow from the Loyalist Penitent Knights Chapter. Daedelus, the Warband's Chaos Lord, fell to the Ruinous Powers and turned traitor against his Chapter Master, Archalus, after constant frustrations over the Highlord's sympathy for the mortal civilian life of the Imperium. And even when Archalus reprimanded Daedelus for disregarding orders, a strange voice whispered into the ear of the Knight Captain, telling him that he would have his day. After the mutiny of the Order of the Crow, and the company escaped into the Warp, the powers of Chaos changed them all to Chaos Space Marines, and their sole mission was to destroy their loyalist brothers.

Dark Core
Darkcore Chaos Marine.png
The Dark Core is a large Chaos Warband that has gained infamy for the past ten millennia. They are known to attack various Imperial military forces, xenos armies, and even fellow Chaos Forces. This is because they are one of the rare few who worship the Renegade Chaos God, Malice. As such they see it as their duty to spread discord and destruction, fighting only the best enemies in order to appease their Dark God. Since they do not worship the other Gods of Chaos, they have little Daemons, instead forcefully binding lesser Daemons to machines, having a large number of Daemon Engines to serve them. The warband is also infamous to raiding Rogue Traders, Imperial Navy Ships and even Loyalist and Chaos Space Marine ships, adding their vessels to their growing fleet and forcing the survivors into the service of Malice.

Relentless and savage, the Blood Vultures have garnered a reputation as a merciless and savage Chapter. But a hidden flaw in their gene-seed nearly saw the Blood Vultures undone, as they were prone to being easily corrupted by the insidious powers of Chaos. Led by the Blood Commander (Captain) of the 3rd Company, they turned upon their own brothers. Since that dark day, for the last four millennia this vicious and brutal Chaos Warband has struck out from their dark home world and launched numerous bloody attacks against neighbouring Imperial star systems. They especially take pleasure in raiding the worlds of Akeldama System, the demesne of their erstwhile brethren, the Blood Vultures.

The Trial is a mysterious Chaos warband dedicated to Khorne known for never uttering a word in battle and preferring to attack other Chaos warbands over imperials or xenos. This odd trait is attributed to their belief that only the strong may fight for Chaos while the weak perish. Thus if a warband shows any sign of weakness such as suffering a humiliating defeat or failing in their objectives, then the Trial will come for them a like predators attracted to the scent of blood. There have been many occassions of the Trial being wiped out, either by a strong warband or by themselves, yet they continue to reappear time and time again. As of the 42nd Milennium, the Trial is in its 64th incarnation.

Vargarian Iron Guard
Iron Guard Heretic Astartes.octet-stream.png
The Varangian Iron Guard is a Renegade Grand Company of the notoriously ruthless Iron Warriors Traitor Legion. They are a particularly brutal Grand Company that has taken their infamous Iron Warrior beliefs in inner strength and pragmatism to its logical conclusion. They do not worship chaos, but instead view it like resource to be harnessed and exploited. Daemons are seen as little more than beast of burden on whose back they wish to build their new Iron Empire. The Varangians specialize in mechanized, armored warfare, and daemon engine creation. It is a deadly, assault-focused force that has plagued the Imperium of Man for millennia on end, and it is known to have fought in many of the Warmaster's Black Crusades, before deserting his cause and going rogue.

Vindicta
Vindicta Brother1.png
The Vindicta is a mysterious group of Fallen Angels. As with all members of the mysterious Fallen, little is known of the Vindicta save the knowledge that they have been in existence for at least 10,000 years and have some sort of close relation to the enigmatic Cypher. The Vindicta is a small group, only 16 in total, and so rely on subterfuge and ingenuity in order to achieve victory. Despite their status as Fallen it appears the Vindicta hunt their own kind in vengeance for Caliban, their hunt for Luther their biggest prize.

Void Legion
Void Legion Heretic Astartes.png
The Void Legion is a massive Chaos Warband of the Alpha Legion. Like their parent Legion, there are many mysteries about the Void Legion. They have conducted numerous attacks on Imperial Worlds and Xenos races, gathering resources and artefacts. Much of their activities have left the Inquisition confused due to being un-related and apparently random. Captured Astartes and mortal members claim before they commit suicide that they are still loyal to the Emperor but believe that the Imperium has fallen from his vision. Whatever the case is, the Void Leigon continues its actions in preparations for something.

Void Stalkers
Void Stalkers Heretic Astartes.png
The Void Stalkers are a formerly Loyalist Successor Chapter of the heroic Blood Angels created during an Unknown Founding that fell from grace and became a notorious Chaos Warband, led by Diablo the Defiler. The Warband serves Baphomet, a Greater Daemon of Chaos Undivided. Operating from their main fortress of Basilica Noctis on the planet Malak in the Eye of Terror, the Void Stalkers terrorize the Galaxy by launching multiple raids throughout the Materium.

Warp Serpents
Warp Serpents Heretic Astartes.png
The Warp Serpents are a Chaos Warband from the Thousand Sons Traitor Legion. Like their parent Legion, they are dedicated to the Chaos God Tzeentch. They are led by the Chaos Sorcerer Thoth Ibis, formerly a member of the Legion's 1st Brotherhood and a part of the Pavoni Cult. Thoth's thirst for knowledge and the understanding where all things come from and where they will end made him take some of his own forces, including a substantial number of fellow Sorcerers, and forming his warband. The Warp Serpents now travel the galaxy, searching for ancient relics, both xenos and humans, and battling the many factions and races they come across
Withered Hands
Withered Hand Heretic Astartes.png
The Withered Hands are a Chaos Space Marine warband that splintered off from the traitorous Death Guard over ideological differences on the will of Nurgle. This would eventually lead to the conquering of their home world of Carcino by the Chaos champion Typhus. Despite their exile, the Withered Hands still remain loyal to Nurgle and their Daemon Primarch Mortarion, but they believe Typhus has become selfish only intent to overthrowing Mortarion and achieving apotheosis into a Greater Daemon Prince instead of truly fulfilling the desires of their god. Eventually the warband caught the ire of the White Scars after attempting to steal their precious gene seed and were hunted down and eliminated. This loss festered in the Warband for centuries leading them to assault the location where this insult occurred. The Withered Hands are now interlocked in combat the resident Iron Bison chapter in a series of conflicts known as the Pox Wars.

Wraith Claws
Wraith Claws Heretic Astartes.png
The Wraith Claws are a notorious Chaos Warband that were former members of the Shattered Star Space Marine Chapter that was created during the lamentable 21st 'Cursed' Founding. Sometime during the first few centuries of their existence, the lamentable event known as 'The Shattering' occurred, which resulted in the loss of half of the Chapter's battle-brothers. While enroute to answer a distress signal for an Imperial world besieged by Orks, the Chapter entered the warp while a warp storm emerged. This caused half of the fleet to be lost in the warp. When they emerged from their ordeal, they were wholly transformed into willing followers of the Dark Gods.

Wolves of Retribution
WOR Traitor Marine.png
The Wolves of Retribution are an infamous Chaos Warband that was formerly a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter created during an Unknown Founding and from uncertain lineage. Once devoted servants of the God Emperor and Imperium. Now they are the enemy of the Imperium and Chaos, seeing all but themselves as heretics against the God Emperor. Blinded by their fiery rage, the twisted and deluded Wolves of Retribution crusade evermore. Were they not blind, they would see that their holy scripture has become the perverted language of the Dark Tongue, their armies of devoted flocks merely raving cultists and the angels they fight alongside and worship, daemons of the Octed.
