This compilation also includes those warbands that do not fall under any particular allegiance to the Chaos Gods, including those that are considered Blackshields. However, this list does not include warbands that fall into the humour category. This is an ongoing project, and as such, additional warbands will be added or removed accordingly. For those warbands that are missing from the list, please feel free to edit this article and add it, or if the Chaos Warband article has been deleted, feel free to remove it.

Abaddon's Shields | ![]() |
Abaddon's Shields is a notorious Chaos Warband that has fought beside Abaddon the Despoiler for some millennia. Initially originating from the Third Company of the Shield Bearers, they escaped Imperial judgment during the Splinter War by fleeing into the warp but became trapped. As they remained in the warp, numerous succumbed to death or madness, and the disloyalty of Chief Librarian Tebaldus Thrian allowed Chaos to infiltrate the ship. The ships would reemerge from the warp a few millennia after its departure, but what remained of those onboard were husks of their former selves driven to heresy. This Chaos Warband plagued the systems on the fringe of Segmentum Obscurus until a defeat at the hands of the Iron Snakes led them to seek out Abaddon. When they appeared before the Despoiler, he sent them to a planet consumed by the warp, where they captured a minor chaos deity and brought it back to Abaddon. The Warband was accepted into the Black Legion for the feat and renamed themselves Abaddon's Shields. (Excommunicate Traitoris) |
Abyssal Conclave | ![]() |
The Abyssal Conclave is a Chaos Warband with roots in the Word Bearers Traitor Legion. They have largely withdrawn from their Legion's fold, disillusioned by the millennia-long power struggles between Kor Phaeron and Erebus, they now maintain a considerable distance from their Legion's affairs. While still acknowledging the authority of the Dark Council of Sicarus, they seldom make appearances on their legion's homeworld itself. (Traitoris Perdita) |
Angels of Despair | ![]() |
The Chaos Warband known as Angels of Despair are a former loyalist Chapter, that turned its back to the Imperium and is classified as 'heretical'. They were formerly known as the Flames of Iron, a successor Chapter of the Iron Drakes and were quite respected. But through unknown events, they started worshipping new gods and started civil wars against the Emperor. Now they roam the galaxy under the name Angels of Despair and bring doom to unfortunate Imperial Worlds. Just like their predecessors, they tend to use fire and heat as a weapon and are formidable opponents in melee. (Excommunicate Traitoris) |
Angels of the Apocalypse | ![]() |
The Angels of the Apocalypse are a formerly Loyalist Space Marine Chapter, known as the Sons of Redemption, that had fallen to the dark whims and false promises of the Chaos Gods. They exist only to undermine the name and honours of the Templars of the Golden Dawn Chapter, and they seek to ruin their reputation and bring them into the light of the Chaos Gods themselves. They follow Chaos Undivided, and are split into four factions: the Order of Lost Light (Tzeentch), Princes of Desolation (Nurgle), Hellforged Kings (Khorne) and the Lords of Lust (Slaanesh). (Traitoris Perdita) |
Angels of the Void | ![]() |
The Angels of the Void are a mysterious Chaos Warband that descends from the noble Astral Angels. Although a relatively small fighting force when compared to other heretic factions, they are still classified by the Inquisition as Periculum Maximus for their secretive ways and ability to deceive most Imperial officers that attempted to investigate their obscure agenda. These traitors have been harassing the Imperium of Man since early M36, when they turned their back on the Emperor. Currently, the Angels of the Void reside in the daemon world of Dark Terra, a blasphemous mockery of its realspace counterpart in the Eye of Terror. (Excommunicate Traitoris) |

(Excommunicate Traitoris) |

(Traitoris Perdita) |

Bararozza | ![]() |
The Bararozza are an infamous Chaos-aligned corsair warband that came from a multitude of lineages due to taking in defectors from both the Imperium and other Chaos Warbands. Little is known of their exact origin, with Imperial records stating they were first encountered in M34, though with no information on their parent warband, Traitor Legion, or exact founder. (Traitoris Perdita) |
Black Bloods | ![]() |
The Black Bloods are a complex and interwoven Warband formed from the remnants of the 11th Company of the VIIIth Legion, the Night Lords. They, and their conquests, are led by Decipus Irax, the so-called "Rancor Prince." They operate as a force of battle brothers, conquered levies, and interconnected allies, all bound together by fear, codependency, and mutual understandings like the ancient gangs of Nostromo once were. Chief among the forces within his sphere of influence is Decipus' greatest allies and most insidious threat, a small splinter cell of the Alpha Legion led by their Headhunter Prime, Prodokos Pitoss. These enigmatic and unknowable marines have served as close allies and co-conspirators of the Black Bloods since the beginning through a system of mutually beneficial dealings. It is through this impenetrable and horrifying combination of the Alpha Legion's infiltration and information-gathering skills and the Night Lords' lightning assaults and fear-mongering that the Warband as a whole has absorbed so many lesser assets. (Excommunicate Traitoris) |
Black Devourers | ![]() |
The Black Devouers are a notorious Chaos Space Marine Warband that was a formerly Loyalist Space Marine Chapter created during an Unknown Founding. Extant evidence points to this warband hailing from the proud lineage of the noble Rogal Dorn. To the shame of all Scions of Dorn, the fallen Black Devourers are descended from their lineage. They are one of the arch-foes of the Iron Blood Chapter, a feeling which is mutual. (Excommunicate Traitoris) |
Black Scions | ![]() |
The Black Scions are a warband of Heretic Astartes. They are a disparate gathering of renegade Space Marines, who have coalesced under the leadership of the Chaos Lord Azreth Krul. Under his command, they have come to command a pocket empire of their own within the blighted Sepulchine Stars, beyond the borders of the Uridian Isola, in the Segmentum Pacificus. With legions of mortal cultist at their back, the Black Scions have steadily becoming a significant threat to Imperial hegemony in the region. Renowned for their skill of arms, the Black Scions have become feared void combatants over the long millennia; a bane of the Navis Imperialis, and a dreaded sight for any Chartist Captain. Purported to have once been a part of the Sons of Horus before the defeat of the Warmaster in the Siege of Terra, the Black Scions have since become an eclectic mass of various breeds of warrior Astartes, stemming from multiple different gene-lines; both of the Traitor, and the Loyalist. |
Blades of The Shadow | ![]() |
The Blades of the Shadow are an infamous Chaos Warband comprised of former members of the infamous Night Lords Traitor Legion. After the death of their Primarch, Konrad Curze, the Night Lords Legion retreated to the Eye of Terror where they would be safe. The Warband is Chaos army of which was formed in 39th Millennium and are perhaps best known for their part in the 13th Black Crusade alongside the Black Legion and Warmaster Abaddon the Despoiler. The Blight Butchers are masters in Berserker Assault as well as employing Virus weapons and daemons. (Traitoris Perdita) |
Blood Wyverns | ![]() |
The Blood Wyverns are a notorious Chaos Warband in the service of Chaos Undivided. They were formerly a Loyalist Chapter of the ill-fated 21st 'Cursed' Founding going by the same name. They presumably come from the gene-stock of Roboute Guilliman, though this remains unconfirmed. Despite the fact there were no physical or mental defects with this Chapter, the fear and suspicion of the Imperium had caused them to go rouge when the Blood Wyverns had come to blows with an Inquisitorial Task Force. For the sin of daring to attack representatives of the Inquisition, they were declared renegades. Making their retreat to the farthest edges of Segmentum Pacificus, the Blood Wyverns soon turned to Chaos, however the Warband prefers to keep Chaos at arm's length. (Excommunicate Traitoris) |
Bloodied Claws | ![]() |
The Bloodied Claws are an infamous Chaos Warband made up of the remnants of the Night Lords 42nd Company. This reserve fleet would go on to become the corsair warband known as the Dogs of Arrogance, while the newly created Iron Warriors warband declined the offer to join with them and instead became a group of elite mercenaries. (Note: This warband falls under the Expanded Universe category.) |
Claws Viduanine | ![]() |
The Claws Viduanine, also called the Talons of Viduanus is an infamous Chaos Warband that has long resided in the Eye of Terror. Originally made up of marines created from the remnants of Sons of Horus gene-seed taken by drawing blood from the weapons of Abaddon the Despoiler after he killed Fabius Bile's clone of the Primarch Horus Lupercal, the Blood Talons are fiercely loyal to the cause of Chaos Undivided, and have long aligned themselves with the Black Legion. Like the majority of their treacherous brethren, they look down on those who continue to actively serve the Imperium, venerating the Ruinous Powers of Chaos but do so with disdain for the Four primary gods, particularly Tzeentch, though they do still attempt to garner his favour. The Claws occupy a strange cultural sphere among the allied warbands which are often placed under the banner of the Black Legion, as they are led by Viduanus, a Daemon Prince of Chaos Undivided who ascended before Abaddon was declared the leader of the Legion, and thus still very strongly maintain the cultural elements of the original XVIth Legion in both its Luna Wolves and Sons of Horus form. |
Crow's Children | ![]() |
The Crows Children are a notorious Chaos Warband made up of Heretic Astartes formed from the renegade Order of the Crow from the Loyalist Penitent Knights Chapter. Daedelus, the Warband's Chaos Lord, fell to the Ruinous Powers and turned traitor against his Chapter Master, Archalus, after constant frustrations over the Highlord's sympathy for the mortal civilian life of the Imperium. And even when Archalus reprimanded Daedelus for disregarding orders, a strange voice whispered into the ear of the Knight Captain, telling him that he would have his day. After the mutiny of the Order of the Crow, and the company escaped into the Warp, the powers of Chaos changed them all to Chaos Space Marines, and their sole mission was to destroy their loyalist brothers. Dark Vultures | ![]() |
The Dark Vultures, or 'Tenebris Vulturis', are a formidable Chaos Warband of ill-repute. They were once Astartes of the Gore Vultures - a brutal and unforgiving Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes created during the 8th Founding from the lineage of the angelic Primarch Sanguinius. Relentless and savage, the Gore Vultures quickly garnered a reputation as a ferocious and merciless Chapter. A fleet-based Chapter, the Gore Vultures fell upon recalcitrant worlds that had forsaken their oaths of fidelity to the Emperor. Without warning, the Chapter fell upon their enemies like a tsunami, utterly annihilating everything in their path. Rumours soon began to circulate of these gore-spattered Astartes stalking the battlefield to devour the bodies of the fallen after a battle as a final mark of disrespect for their weakness. The Gore Vultures committed so many excesses in the Emperor's name that by the latter years M35 onwards, this Chapter all but disappeared from official Imperial records. Unable to ignore the atrocities committed by this Chapter the High Lords of Terra eventually declared the Gore Vultures Renegades and cast them out from the light of the Emperor's realm. Despite this edict, the Chapter refused to acquiesce to the High Twelve's declaration. For a time, the Gore Vultures still considered themselves to be loyal servants to the Emperor of Mankind, if not to His Imperium. However, over time, this renegade Chapter was forced to take drastic measures to ensure their survival. Taking refuge within the Eye of Terror, they Gore Vultures disappeared and were assumed destroyed. However, two millennia later, they returned to the material realm, they were wholly corrupted by the insidious influence of the Ruinous Powers and become the Chaos warband known as the Dark Vultures. (Excommunicate Traitoris) |
Death Knights | ![]() |

Once known as the Chevaliers, they turned to chaos when half the captains saw terrible visions of chaos, starting a civil war for the chapter that they won. After this war they accepted their fate as Chaotic warriors. Their former knightly honor was twisted into a dark reflection of its former self, and in their minds they still fight for civilization, seeing the Imperium as a rotting corpse and Chaos as the coming evolution of civilization. They chose the name Death Knights, and left Monchesto behind to bring about the new order throughout the galaxy. With noble class befitting of their station, of course. (Excommunicate Traitoris) |
Dogs of Arrogance | ![]() |
The Dogs of Arrogance are a large corsair warband that operates in smaller groups but can be hired as mercenaries as well. (Traitoris Perdita) |
Dothane's Pride | ![]() |
Born in the opening moments of the Sable Pride's civil war, Dothane's Pride vowed vengeance against the Dark Angels and the wider Unforgiven for their perceived transgressions and humiliations of his chapter, and in the Warband's eyes, the death of the true Sable Pride. To this end, the warband considers the chapter of the Sable Pride to no longer exist, instead referring to it as the Pride of whoever is the current Grand Marshal and currently referring to the chapter as Sephram's Pride, after the current Grand Marshal of the chapter. This is in reference to the naming of themselves and their foes during the War of the Two Prides, with the warband viewing the modern 'Sable Pride' to simply be a descendent of the loyalist forces under Grand Marshal Purion and not the true chapter of old. (Excommunicate Traitoris) |
Dragons of the Rift | ![]() |

Like many of their fellow Chapters created during this time, they were plagued by aberrant gene-seed and extensive mutations. Deemed by the Inquisition as an abomination, the Imperium declared the stalwartly loyalist Chapter as renegades. The Chapter was forced to flee their homeworld of Draix, leaving the to its pre-ordained destruction by Exterminatus. Cast out from the light of the Imperium, the Chapter was forced to live the outskirts of known space within the mysterious region known as the Halo Stars. When they finally emerged centuries later, they were no longer the once-proud Blue Widows, for they had wholeheartedly pledged themselves to the ruinous powers. Now known as the Fallen Widows, the vengeful Chaos Warband vowed to enact their vengeance upon those who cast them out and drove them from their former homeworld. (Traitoris Perdita) |

They seek the ultimate elevation of humanity aligned with the vision of Lorgar Aurelian, the union of the material and the immaterial in perfect symbiosis, and as such make great uses of Possessed units and the summoning of demonic hordes to bring down any who oppose them. Since that bygone age, this warband has continued to plague the realms of the Mankind in their neverending Long War. (Traitoris Maximus) |

They also see themselves as being an organized act of penance for the death of their primarch, and as such all wear red gauntlets of censure. The Rift Sharks is a Chaos-aligned warband that has chosen to forgo established world by world dominance and instead rule by territory. They rush into combat, appearing from unexpected angles and tearing into the enemy with borderline animalistic ferocity. The mortal followers follow in tow, keeping up with their Shark overlords and engaging with the same animalistic savagery seen in the Astartes. |
Rusted Sons | ![]() |
The Rusted Sons are a brutal and cunning Chaos Space Marine Warband which can trace its origins back to the Iron Warriors Traitor Legion. Compared to many of the other Grand Companies, the Rusted Sons are exceptionally patient, and have used this patience in conjunction with their aptitude for grand strategy to great effect when battling the forces of the Imperium. The most ancient Traitor Astartes of the warband have armour that is truly rusted in place instead of simply painted in the colour, and the dullness of their armour's trim and pauldrons is more a reflection of its age as opposed to any intentional effect. Newer members of the warband mimic their veteran commanders and brothers by intentionally dulling the colour used for the trim and pauldrons, and some go so far as trying to artificially age their armour to make rust on a superficial level. Scions of Devastation | ![]() |
The Scions of Devastation are an infamous Chaos Warband that broke away from their parent Traitor Legion, the Iron Warriors. The Scions of Devastation answer to Ignus the Irregulator, a Terran-born Iron Warrior that was inducted into the Legiones Astartes in M30. Known then as Igarol, the gifted warrior received his training in Mars under the watchful eyes of the Adeptus Biologicus. During the Horus Heresy, command of the grand company fell to Igarol and his fellow Iron Warriors, Molon following the death of their Exalted Warsmith. Following the defeat of Traitor Legions during the Siege of Terra, Molon wanted to take the Iron Warriors back into Olympia and defend it to the death, while Igarol wanted to preserve the Iron Warriors and follow Perturabo into the Eye of Terror. This caused their Grand Company to split into two separate warbands. After the destruction of Olympia, Igarol changed his name into Ignus, letting his name be buried alongside the memories of the grand company and his sworn brother. The rest of the Iron Warriors followed this ritual and took up the name the Scions of Devastation and swore to avenge the dead Olympians. (Excommunicate Traitoris) |

The Strigoi was born during this inter-Legion strife, comprised of various Legionaries who did not favour the use of Chaos or its corrupting influence. Instead, they held to the old ways in honour of their gene-sire's original vision for the VIIIth Legion - to act as judge, jury and executioner over the sinners across the galaxy, bringing their own form of perceived "justice" in the form of unrestrained terror and brutal torture of the wicked. Although they do not share knowledge and information between the many parts of the warband, they are quite effective considering their erratic and adaptable fighting style. Not knowing exactly who their leader is, puts them at an advantage for their leader cannot be found and killed to terminate the warband activity and if, by happenstance, she was to be killed, any other member can keep the warband together because only a select few know who the leader is. This warband is very adverse to being bogged down by rules and are quite successful in their mission for knowledge and innovation. (Traitoris Perdita) |

Distinguishing themselves further, they incorporate heavy weapons and armor into their ranks, forming a deadly combination with their brutal shock troops leading assaults in a true display of combined arms tactics. What sets the 23rd Grand Assault Company apart is a dark pact forged with Khorne, a deal to temper their bloodlust. In exchange for maintaining a semblance of discipline for a longer duration, the company pledged to offer an unending stream of skulls to Khorne's glory. Amused at their arguments Khorne obliged, but only as long as the skulls and blood flowed. Brotherhood of Half-Life | ![]() |
The Brotherhood of Half-Life was born on a dead world as the Imperium entered the Age of Apostasy, in M36. Amid the atomic stench and the fading glow of detonated missiles, Korughar, one of the lesser lords of the Seventh Plague Company, took command of the last surviving warriors of his septic cohort. Standing on the defeated daemon of the Deceiving God, he shouted unholy oaths, promising the Great Grandfather a true manifestation of faith and service. Since then, the worlds of the Imperium have been overwhelmed by new misfortunes, for the strength of the Brotherhood grows in proportion to it's offerings to the Gardens, and their gifts are very, very numerous. Awarded with the Mantle of Corruption, Korughar combined the best features of his Legion's knowledge - the monstrous Gifts of the otherworldly kingdom, savage rituals, the immoral possibilities of necromancy and alchemy, as well as the natural law of nature into the basis of the Brotherhood's martial doctrines. Their specialization is the recreation of that shaky border between life and death on each of the visited worlds, in order to generate as many and as many different life forms as possible. The worlds of mortals for them are nothing more than seeds, and the enemies, trying in vain to stop them, are only fertilizers, a consumable for their holy duty. Because of this approach, the Brotherhood of Half-Life spends much longer time in Imperial space, reaping a rich harvest for their research. The consequences of their experiments are such that the armor of each of the brothers resembles a completely rotten corpse with its external texture, and their bodies are filled not only with pathogens, but also with parasitic fungi, cysts full of larvae, clots of semi-intelligent abscesses and other things. The Pilgrims of the Plague Moon, known for their mysticism and void-travel, have mastered the art of divination: their Sorcerers expertly navigate the Warp & embark on meticulously planned campaigns across the galaxy, the fruits of their efforts only seen decades or centuries after they laid the foundations for their conspiracies. It is a rare sight indeed to see the Pilgrims battle near their base of operations in the Galactic Core. |
Plague Ravens | ![]() |
The Plague Ravens are a formerly Loyalist Raven Guard Successor Chapter created during the 21st Founding, the ill-fortuned 'Cursed Founding'. Originally called the Royal Ravens, they were corrupted in its entirety by the Chaos God Nurgle thanks to a coven of Death Guard Sorcerers. Though devoted to the Plague God, they are part of Chaos Undivided to better spread their Grandfather's gift. Currently, the Plague Ravens are part of the armada led by Akemos of the Cabal of Destiny that gathered to smash the backwater fortress world of Troii, along with the Battleforged and Pain Harvesters. Their forces under Akemos numbered about 300 Plague Ravens with a large amount of undead as well. (Traitoris Perdita) |

Rancid Lords | ![]() |
The Rancid Lords are the 3rd Sepsis Cohort of the 7th Plague Company, who are feared across the Imperium and within the Death Guard themselves. There ability to bring the full force of a Sepsis cohort to bear against any who face them has meant they are able to overwhelm many a foe with their sheer size and ability to utilise a variety of tactics and assets as they see fit, when combined with the terrifying and legendary endurance and tenacity of the Death Guard makes them a force to be feared across the Galaxy. The Cohort has been commanded since it's creation by the Lord of Contagion, Garstag the Rancid, a veteran of Mortarion's liberation of Barbarus and the Great Crusade, he is a hulking giant of an Astarte's, who's aggression and brutality is only surpassed by his undying loyalty to Mortarion. His willingness to do whatever the Death Lord orders of him and his success in doing so has meant many times Mortarion has sent him and his Cohort to hunt down those who have betrayed, failed or split from the legion. So much so that he has earned the Nickname, the Axe of Mortarion. (Excommunicate Traitoris) |

Withered Hands | ![]() |
The Withered Hands are a Chaos Space Marine warband that splintered off from the traitorous Death Guard over ideological differences on the will of Nurgle. This would eventually lead to the conquering of their home world of Carcino by the Chaos champion Typhus. Despite their exile, the Withered Hands still remain loyal to Nurgle and their Daemon Primarch Mortarion, but they believe Typhus has become selfish only intent to overthrowing Mortarion and achieving apotheosis into a Greater Daemon Prince instead of truly fulfilling the desires of their god. Eventually the warband caught the ire of the White Scars after attempting to steal their precious gene seed and were hunted down and eliminated. This loss festered in the Warband for centuries leading them to assault the location where this insult occurred. The Withered Hands are now interlocked in combat the resident Iron Bison chapter in a series of conflicts known as the Pox Wars. (Traitoris Perdita) |
Wolves of Rotigus | ![]() |
The Wolves of Rotigus are a notorious Chaos Warband of Plague Marines that serve the Chaos God Nurgle. Formerly, they served the Minor Chaos God Malice. However, upon growing tiresome of serving under Malice and the constant struggle of having too many foes across the Galactic Map, it seemed there was no such thing as "allies" in the service of The Renegade God. This occurred to the point where their numbers were beginning to falter and those still left in the Warband eventually agreed to abandon Malice's patronage to deny the other of the Dark Gods of Chaos their wishes. Allegedly, upon seeing a few lost souls, Grandfather Nurgle being "kinder" amongst the Chaos Gods, offered them a place in his garden, and in return for their loyalty, they would be granted many boons, and one day, they would even surpass the Death Guard' Daemon Primarch Mortarion and become as powerful as Brother Typhus. Dark Core | ![]() |
The Dark Core is a large Chaos Warband that has gained infamy for the past ten millennia. They are known to attack various Imperial military forces, xenos armies, and even fellow Chaos Forces. This is because they are one of the rare few who worship the Renegade Chaos God, Malice. As such they see it as their duty to spread discord and destruction, fighting only the best enemies in order to appease their Dark God. Since they do not worship the other Gods of Chaos, they have little Daemons, instead forcefully binding lesser Daemons to machines, having a large number of Daemon Engines to serve them. The warband is also infamous to raiding Rogue Traders, Imperial Navy Ships and even Loyalist and Chaos Space Marine ships, adding their vessels to their growing fleet and forcing the survivors into the service of Malice. The Lost | ![]() |
The Lost are a Chaos Warband dedicated to the service of the renegade Chaos God known as Malice, also called the "Hierarch of Anarchy and Terror." A unique trait of The Lost is their use of outdated and ancient technology. They utilise such antique and relic weaponry due to a lack of supply primarily, but the ancient and forgotten tech is also highly revered as it reflects the goal of the warband to show others the light of Malal. Their loyalist origins start with the Horus Heresy when they were still an incomplete chapter. Their Chapter Master, Meragrus Rarth, aka "Unfound", led them to follow Horus, but the unnamed legion quickly learned to hate Horus and the Ruinous Powers as they felt abandoned and used as cannon fodder. They disappeared without a trace through warp space and were never to be seen until the opening of the great rift gave Malice and his legions of The Lost great power and will to exact revenge on the ruinous powers and the Black Legion, their mortal enemy. The Melded Ones are an infamous Chaos Warband made up of the remnants of Astartes with Iron Hands gene-seed from multiple chapters. Like the majority of their treacherous brethren, they look down on those who actively serve the primary Ruinous Powers of Chaos with a general disdain, and instead worshipping Feirocarne and his Cult of the Accursed Oneness. They are particularly known for the their use of an unstable viral strain made with parts of the Obliterator Techno-virus which creates merged fleshmetal abominations and mutational gifts more quickly than other warbands. They are generally found to have an inability to ally with the broader traitor cause as they seek solely to gain power from Feirocarne by ensuring the safety of their god. They view the other four Chaos Gods as little more than manifestations of human fear and emanations of desires. They see Feirocarne as a being of a perfect blend of organic, bionic and daemonic. They continue to spread terror throughout the Galaxy in the name of their god, but also to conquer forge worlds of the Adeptus Mechanicus to steal their technology and bind them to both daemons and human flesh. |

During the aftermath of Cadia and later the arrival of the Arks of Omen and the appearance of Vashtorr the Arkifane, Ivan would align his warband with the daemon and begin worshipping the Arkifane as a god. While his followers chose not to question Ivan's belief in Vashtorr, the greater force of the Iron Warriors considered Ivan a madman, and they would be right in believing this. Ivan Tianus is insane and highly corrupted by daemonic and warp energies, fueling his belief in Vashtorr as the fifth Chaos God and saviour of the Iron Warriors; Ivan would have to escape and abandon the Iron Warriors legion along with those who saw his vision, leaving only 300 Astartes within his company. The servitor-marines of the Sleepwalkers require no food or rest, feel no pain, and are equipped with vile warp-touched bionic implants that the Adeptus Mechanicus would never consider tainting the sacred flesh of an Astartes with. The Void Legion is a massive Chaos Warband of the Alpha Legion. Like their parent Legion, there are many mysteries about the Void Legion. They have conducted numerous attacks on Imperial Worlds and Xenos races, gathering resources and artefacts. Much of their activities have left the Inquisition confused due to being unrelated and apparently random. Captured Astartes and mortal members claim before they commit suicide that they are still loyal to the Emperor but believe that the Imperium has fallen from his vision. Whatever the case is, the Void Legion continues its actions in preparations for something. (Traitoris Perdita) |

Wolves of Retribution | ![]() |
The Wolves of Retribution are an infamous Chaos Warband that was formerly a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter created during an Unknown Founding and from uncertain lineage. Once devoted servants of the God Emperor and Imperium. Now they are the enemy of the Imperium and Chaos, seeing all but themselves as heretics against the God Emperor. Blinded by their fiery rage, the twisted and deluded Wolves of Retribution crusade evermore. Were they not blind, they would see that their holy scripture has become the perverted language of the Dark Tongue, their armies of devoted flocks merely raving cultists and the angels they fight alongside and worship, daemons of the Octed.
