The Knights of Death is a Loyalist Codex Astartes- compliant Successor Chapter of the Salamanders. They were created during the 4th Founding in 546.M32. This founding took place in the wake of the near-disastrous War of the Beast, when the Imperium of Man was brought to its knees by the largest Ork WAAAGH! seen since the waning years of the Great Crusade. This was the largest founding since the Second Founding, when the Space Marine Legions were broken down into separate Chapters. The military forces of the Imperium had sacrificed much, including severe losses suffered by several Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes. To make up for these losses, every Chapter was ordered to double their gene-tithe in order to compensate for these losses and to utilise the extra gene-seed to raise new Chapters.

Once the Adeptus Mechanicus had raised enough gene-seed to provide for the initial inception of several Space Marine Chapters of what would eventually become the 4th Founding, with the blessing of the High Lords of Terra, several dozen new Chapters were created, including the Knights of Death. Their gene-seed hailed form the lineage of the ancient Salamanders Chapter, and their initial command cadre was made up of some of the Salamanders' finest warriors. After raising their numbers to nominal strength over several decades, the fully operational Chapter searched for, and eventually discovered, the world of Cathea. They claimed this world and its surrounding planets as a part of their domain and began the construction of their mighty fortress-monastery, 'The Festung'.

Since their creation, the Knights of Death have shown excellent adaptability and flexibility in several fields of warfare, including armoured and siege warfare, mass theatre operations, bike assaults, xenos purgation and the elimination of enemy command cadres. The Knights of Death show all the qualities of sons of Vulkan and continue to stand their eternal vigil watching over the realm of the Emperor of Mankind.

Chapter History[]

Yearly years[]

The chapter was founded after the War of the Beast. The first members came from the Salamanders, to act as the initial cadre of officers and sergeants to help stand up the chapter and bring it to nominal numbers. After the Chapter was fully manned at 1,000 Battle-Brother and deemed fit for active service, they were finally assigned an active role. One of their first campaigns was for the Chapter to liberate the lost Unalium Sector from the Ork. The Knights of Death purged the bloodthirsty xenos. During this campaign they saw much disloyalty from those too weak to stand up for themselves and bowed down to the yoke of their xenos rulers. From this campaign the Chapter learned the value of loyalty, honour, courage and sacrifice. During this campaign they also learned to deploy the massive commitment of forces alongside support of Imperial Guards regiments. After this campaign follow many battles against other xenos and traitor.

The seven crusades[]

Between 120-260.M41 fought the Knights of Death at the ,,Faith-Stars´´ seven crusade against traitor forces. The ,,Faith-Stars´´ are 7 sectors with many cardinals world, religious places, headwaters of organisations from the Ecclesiarchy and more home worlds of Sororitas orders. The defense fleet couldn´t defeat the traitor fleet. The first vessel shot the a volley to the north tower of Hanitat K2. 2 traitor vessels try at the docks to dock. The security forces prepare a improvised defence plan. Suddenly jump 100 vessels from the Knights of Death out the warp. 90 vessels attack the traitor fleet, 10 vessels fly to the asteroids fields and shots they with a few salvos to the traitor fleet the. The traitor fleet was destroyed between the ,,Habitat K2´´, the fleet of the Knights of Death and the asteroids. The 7th company destroyed the factory, killt the traitors and annihilated the demonic marchins. The 2nd and 10th company attack the central fortress of Jerusal, the defenders fight hard aginst the Space Marines: But they was defeated from the brave Knights of Death. At the 4 Statues from the Chaos-Gods forming 4 millions of Chaos-Cultisst a desperate defend line. No resisted, no desperate counterattack could the righteous warth of the Knights of Death. The final attack for the liberation of Jerusal was the Templehill. The Raiding Knights had with 20 million chaos cultist. The Knights of Death and her Auxiliary armies purge the despicable Raiding Knights and her heretic lackeys, with wrath and contempt. At the end of the liberation of Jerusal was 400 loyal Imperials Guardsmen, 2,4 billions citizen and 563 Space Marines death, but 10 billions of Chaos cultist and 764 Chaos Space Marine died.
