The Iron Prophets are a Loyalist Primaris Successor Chapter of an unknown gene-seed created during the Ultima Founding. They are known for their shock and awe tactics and overwhelming forces they bring to bear. For the most part they have abandoned the Codex Astartes, only keeping to it's overall strength of 1,000 battle brothers. They are a fleet-based Chapter whom patrol up and down parts of the Great Rift.

Chapter History

The Iron Prophets are one of many chapters from the Ultima Founding and fought alongside the returned Ultramraines Primarch Roboute Guilliman during the Indomitus Crusade for the first phase upon which they were set upon the Imperium's enemies in any way they chose. Early on in their history they, along with planetary defense forces, beat back a warband of Word Bearers from destroying a planet.

After this encounter with the Forces of Chaos the chapter's goals shifted a bit from the destruction of all the Imperium's enemies to but one - the Forces of Chaos. This has become the Prophets' sole enemy and the Iron Warriors Traitor Legion in particular has earned a special enmity amongst the ranks of the Chapter for a particularly humiliating defeat at their hands.

Notable Campaigns

As with all Ultima Founding Chapters the Iron Prophets accompanied Guilliman during the Indomitus Crusade.

Chapter Organization

Due to the often time large enemy forces they come against the Prophets altered their Codex organization to accommodate this issue. Their chapter consist of only 6 companies with the battle companies being swelled to double the size, necessitating the lack of reserve companies to keep their overall fighting strength within allowed parameters. Along with this, due to the amounts of heavy armor of their chosen foe they bring forth a not inconsiderable amount of melta weaponry.

Order of Battle

The Chapter consist of:

The 1st Company serving as the Veteran Company.

The 2nd , 3rd, 4th, 5th serving as double-strength Battle Companies.

The 6th serves as a Scout Company.

Combat Doctrine

The Prophets Focus heavily on shock-and-awe tactics and bringing the overwhelming might of their enlarged battle companies quickly via large amounts of re-constituted Storm Eagle heavy assault gunships.

Chapter Culture & Beliefs

The chapter itself is consumed with two obsessions; the complete destruction of the Iron Warriors and the discovery of their Primarch.
