The Host of Aiakides is a Fourth Founding Space Marine Chapter of Rogal Dorn's lineage, created when another Imperial Fist Successor Chapter, the Phrygian Knights, as with all chapters that were alive by then, was ordered to supply a portion of their veterans to found a new Chapter in the aftermath of the War of the Beast. Warder Peithon of the Phrygian Knights chose his Hetairos Aiakides and his Astartes to be the leaders of this new force, henceforth named as Host of Aiakides. A Fleet-based Chapter, the Aiakidoi have since then taken to the stars and continuously battled the enemies of mankind.
However, since their doctrine, symbolism and traditions mirrors, in certain ways, those of the World Eater legion, a rumour has gained strength that the Aiakides were in fact first led by the surviving members of Odda's Warband, with him as Chapter-Master. By this rumour, Warder Peithon, seeing how depleted the Phrygian Knights were after the Phrygian Campaign, instead offered Odda and his Warband, a loyalist group of World Eaters that had assisted the Phrygian Knights centuries before and most recently in Phrygia itself, the choice of becoming the First Company of the Host of Aiakides Chapter, in place of the Phrygian Knight veterans. Such is largely unconfirmed, however.
Chapter History
Notable Campaigns
Since M32, the Chapter has participated in many important campaigns.
Most decisive in the recent history of the Aiakidoi is without a doubt the twin campaigns of the Bloodbath on Callatis and the Battle for Korengal, in the early years of M42. During the first battle...

Chapter Beliefs
Chapter Gene-Seed
The Chapter is unquestionably supplied with the Gene-Seed of Rogal Dorn since its foundation. Thus, as with the Imperial Fists, the Aiakidoi do not have either the Betcher's Gland, which allows the Marine to produce acidic spittle, or the Sus-an Membrane, which allows the Marine to enter a state of suspended animation. The Chapter's gene-seed is extremely stable, and the Host of Aiakides are not impacted from any genetic deficiencies related to the disappearance of Rogal Dorn, or to Dorn's Darkness.

Armorial of the Phrygian Knights Chapter.
- Phrygian Knights - The Aiakidoi have been close allies to the Phrygian Knights since their foundation. However, their relationship is much closer than simply the fact that the Phrygian Knights supplied their Veterans to form the initial First Company of the Host of Aiakides. Not only have both Chapters fought side-by-side throughout the millennia, but most recently, during the twin battles of the Bloodbath on Callatis and the Battle for Korengal, the two Chapters have rescued each other, and by the end of these campaigns their Chapter Masters, Brennus on the side of the Aiakidoi and Alketes on the side of the Phrygian Knights, pledged oaths to each other, bounding the chapter's fates together. The Oath of Brennus, as it is known by the Aiakidoi, holds that any and all calls of assistance from the Phrygian Knights against the enemies of mankind must be answered, whatever the circumstances.
