Depending on the source, Gorslam 'The Brute' is the only Khorne worshiper in the entire Fluxborne Vainguard Warband that Phoebe Ionos both knows of and tolerates. Gorslam was one of the original members of her Warband during Ionos’s days on Cormek as a bodyguard and general as a mere man. Still, as a result of becoming temporarily possessed by multiple daemons at once during one conflict, Gorslam is now a powerhouse. While not even an Astartes, he has donned makeshift Terminator Armour - a suit of power armour aimed at being able to take powerful if not lethal blows both at range and in close combat known as Cormek Pattern Tactical Dreadnought Armour.

Originally he was a follower of Chaos Undivided. Gorslam the Brute, once known as Gordon Polexi, has long since lost himself in the roars of battle. After Xavier's World Massacre, Gorslam was removed as a member of the 54 but still keeps his armour and position within The Juggernauts. Despite his advanced age as a human, he has made chaotic pacts to extend his life to spread the slaughter of The Blood God.

Biography[]

Early Days[]

Goreslam, born Augustus Govirilia Sla’ham, was born in M38 in a Hive City on Lomek. Soon rising to the top in various gladiatorial and sporting rings, he would end up becoming a military tactical expert, soon conquering a layer of the hive city. Goreslam would eventually go to one of Lomek’s moons, Cormek. Here, he would meet a thriving Phoebe Ionos and safeguard her. Phoebe would teach Gorslam about the ruinous powers, and he would go on to worship all 4 chaos gods. Phoebe detested the idea of worshipping Khorne but put her personal vendettas aside. Phoebe would then recruit Goreslam as a bodyguard and military tactician, helping her conquer the moon, and then, Lomek Itself.

In 601.M40, several companies of the Juggernauts and Faceless of The Fluxborne Vainguard fought the first 10 Infantry Companies, the 3rd Artillery Company, the 6th and 8th heavy artillery and the 2nd Armoured Company of the Zan Death Wardens, a small Astra Millitarum regiment, Goreslam The Brute managed to personally kill over 2,000 infantry (the total number of soldiers of Millitarum Forces was a little over 125,000).

Massacre at Xavier’s World[]

The Massacre at Xavier’s World is called such because Goreslam when forced to retreat proceeded to unleash his rage upon The Faceless, killing 26 Astartes and several hundred cultists before he was halted when Mattak The Morose froze him in time and teleported him to a spacecraft, in which he was subdued by several of the 54.

Wargear[]

Weapons[]

  • Axe of Cormek - The Axe of Cormek is an axe capable of splitting through ceramite armour. While it is otherwise unremarkable, it notably grows sharper with each successful decapitation.
  • Ignition Sabre - The sabre has a small vial of flammable gas stored inside the hilt. When a hidden button is pressed, this gas will release. When pressed again, the gas will explode in a violent explosive reaction as the button press will trigger a minor electrical impulse.

Armour[]

  • Cormek Pattern Tactical Dreadnought Armour - A suit of Terminator Armour used by Gorslam the Brute of the Fluxborne Vainguard. The suit is designed to withstand from close to medium-range attacks. The suit prioritises mobility, speed and endurance, as the wearer of such armour is more than capable of killing enemies through strength alone even without the armour. The armour, designed by The Architect group of the Fluxborne Vainguard not only prevents the user from being killed as easily but also is psychically connected to someone - Phoebe Ionos, the warband's leader. After the Xavier’s World Massacre, this feature was implemented. The unique feature, dubbed by Ionos as “Personnel Control and Cooperation” allows her to psychically pilot the armour for short durations, preventing Gorslam from killing foes or forcing him into retreating. The Architect group is working to replicate the armour, although due to its advanced age as it was created in 830.M38, maintenance and reverse engineering prove to be difficult. The armour allows for the user to carry intense weight, such as weapons. Aesthetically, it resembles The MKIV Power Armour, albeit more bulkier and larger. Due to the fact only a single suit of this armour exists, only a single person has ever worn it.
