"You think this hurts me treasonous kozyol? Oh how little you know of pain. Pain is the bite of Marzanna's Rest in winter, when great shards of ice hammer Svyatilishche with such power that men are pounded into cold meat. Your little bread knife is like the snows of summer. You have ended nothing, save your miserable life. Kogti smerti dlya tebya!"
—Koschei, Last of the Frost Claws to Inquisitor Kirivian

The tale of the Frost Claws is a sad, grim one. Hailing from the frozen world of Marzanna's Rest, these sons of Rogal Dorn were obstinate and implacable. Their record before their extinction was one of countless victories won through sheer pugnacious resolve. Though they had innumerable victories abroad, in theatres that would've resulted in any other Chapter's destruction, it would be the battle of their own homeworld, which was revealed to be the Tomb World of a particularly demented force of Necrons, whose mania had led them to slide back into worshipping the C'tan. In this case a shard of the Void Dragon. Though the entire Chapter was present, and the Frost Claws put up an astonishing fight, the unstoppable waves of Necrons still wore them down. In the end, before their annihilation, then Chapter Master Andrei Borka charged three survivors; Koschei, Ivan Alois and Drago Jarek with reaching Terra and resurrecting the Chapter. Though eventually Koschei, the Chapter's de facto leader indeed managed to reach Terra, extremist elements within the Inquisition sought Chapter's extinction. After their failed assassination attempt, Koschei disappeared, and the Frost Claws have been considered fully extinct.

Chapter History

Due to their creation during the dark and tumultuous days of the 21st Founding and Age of Apostasy, the early years of the Frost Claws was relatively unknown. The earliest mention of them was during the Age of Redemption the Frost Claws took part in culling many of the worlds that had aided Goge Vandire in his ascent. During this period they distinguished themselves, both for their zeal and, for the unnerving delusion that Rogal Dorn watched them. Where countless other Chapters simply fortified their own domains, the Frost Claws, as well as their fellow sons of Dorn, joined the Terran Crusade, intent on tearing Goge Vandire down. During the invasion of the Imperial Palace, the Warriors of Marzanna's Rest took horrendous casualties, their determination pushing them onwards despite the Brides of the Emperor.

After the events of the Sebastus Crusade, where the Frost Claws served alongside their fellow sons of Dorn, a Feast of Blades was called, to honour the fallen Chapter Master of the Nemean Lions (whose death was the cause of the crusade) in the end, through sheer bullheaded determination, Andrik Viktor emerged triumphant. For years he would wield the Dornsblade, until a battle against the Eldar of Iybraesil led by Jain-Zar herself. Though he fell against the terrifying onslaught of the Phoenix Lord, Viktor managed to wound the Storm of Silence. As the Chapter marshalled for a war of retribution, the progenitor of the Howling Banshees returned both the shattered body of Andrik and the Dornsblade, as a symbol of marshal respect. Since then however, Iybraesil has been a long hated enemy of the Chapter, with the exception of Jain-Zar, who had earned their wary respect, the Frost Claws had desired to avenge themselves on the treasonous xenos.

Unfortunately however, the Frost Claws were one of the first casualties of the reawakening Necrons, their homeworld was in fact a Tomb World that had gone unnoticed for millennia. During the xenos' reawakening, Marzanna's Rest and all but three of the Frost Claws were wiped out. Once again, the Frost Claws, now reduced to a mere three members, were forced to journey to Terra, in the hope that they could petition the High Lords of Terra to release the stores of gene-seed, so the Chapter could be reborn and take revenge for Marzanna's Rest. In the end however, a dark sect of the Inquisition, known as the Enochians attempted to kill the two Frost Claws that made it to the Throneworld. Whilst their assassination attempt was unsuccessful, Koschei, the only surviving member of the Chapter vanished. In the end, the Imperial Fist's took the remains of the warrior's bolter, crafting it into a relic bolter.

Notable Campaigns

  • The Cold Winds of Death (M38) - An action during the tail-end of the Great Cull, the world of Kuhrr had fallen to the whispers of the Ruinous Powers, spurred on by their fear. The Slaaneshi cultists, who called themselves 'His Sublime Troupe' had twisted the planetary governor to the decadence of the Dark Prince. With the fortifications he made to the capital hive of Kuhrr, he believed himself untouchable. Unfortunately for him, the Frost Claws are masters of siege warfare, rapidly rearmed and retrofitting several Land Raiders (this armament would later be standardised into the Drak’s Roar pattern) and decimated the traitor's fortifications. The governor himself was left in the empty and desolate ruins of the capital hive as punishment, slowly starving to death after going mad from isolation.
  • Sebastus Crusade (042.M39-50.M39) - Alongside their fellow sons of Rogal Dorn; the Imperial Fists, Black Templars, Nemean Lions and Soul Drinkers, the Frost Claws were part of the massive Imperial Crusade against the Chapter's ancient nemesis; the Iron Warriors traitor legion. Whilst the five Chapters were assembling forces to join a separate crusade, and using Sebastus as a muster world they were attacked by newly promoted, supremely arrogant and ambitious Warsmith Ta'shur. During the Iron Warrior's surprise assault, the Regulus of the Nemean Lions; Nicharchus was slain. To say the assembled sons of Dorn were displeased would be, a catastrophic understatement. The fury of the Marines was catastrophic. Over the next eight years, led by revengeful Nemean Lions, the Frost Claws, Black Templars, Imperial Fists and Soul Drinkers viciously hunted down Ta'shur, brutally picking his forces apart, piece-by-piece. Whatever world the warsmith arrived on to drive the Crusade away, the assembled Chapters were merciless, smashing every fortress he placed before them. In the end, stranded on the world of Imu II, Ta'shur's final fortress, his last bastion, was cracked open, his defences shattered and his forces torn to pieces under the endless wrath of the furious Crusade. In the end, serving alongside the Sword Brethren of the Black Templar, and veterans of his own 1st Company under the cover of relentless bombardment from Drak's Roar land raiders, Caellumis, the newly promoted Regulus managed to cripple Ta'shur, before publicly executing him, decapitating the warsmith at the very top of his fortress.
  • The Fall of Marzanna's Rest (900.M41) - The fall of their homeworld, under the relentless march of the newly awakening Necrons, would be the last stand for the entirety of the Frost Claws. For reasons lost to history, the whole of the Chapter had been summoned to the homeworld, even those serving in the Deathwatch had been recalled. Unfortunately however, Marzanna’s Rest was a tomb world. Long undetected by the Imperium of Man, horrific legions of the ancient Necrontyr lurked under its frigid tundras. Led by a powerful shard of one of their fallen gods; the Void Dragon, the cold xenos emerged across the icy planet like a horrid, grey cancer. In the end, the Frost Claws made their relentless last stand against the undying tide of Necrons in their fortress-monastery, in the centre of the capital city of the world. For days the Frost Claws held out against the xenos, until with their hateful and nightmarish weapons, their turned the fortifications of the walled city against itself and destroyed one of the massive barriers, devastating the city and killing countless servants of the Emperor.
  • The Voyage to Terra (900.M41)

Chapter Homeworld

The world of Marzanna's Rest was a harsh, uncompromising world that bred harsh, uncompromising people. It was a civilised world, directly ruled by the Frost Claws. Bleakly beautiful and starkly dangerous, it was named in honour of the Imperial Saint Marzanna. During the Oka Crusade against the greenskins of WAAAGH! Zarr-Snik, the exhausted forces rested on the cold world, marshalling themselves for the final strike against the massive xeno horde. Though a civilised world, Marzanna's Rest is by no-means safe. Endless frosts, biting winds and in in the dead of winter, brutal hailstorms capable of pulping undefended humans. The wild-life of the world, much like its climate, is savage, and incredibly hostile, most famously the massive bears roam the dark woods of the world. Beasts of truly massive proportions, the Marzannan Bears are roughly the size of a Dreadnought, with the strength to kill an armoured space marine with their great paws. Before it’s assignment as an Astartes homeworld, Marzanna’s Rest was used as little more than a marshal point for crusades, a place to appropriately, rest and resupply. It’s various cities providing what bleak relief they could. Though uncompromising, it was beautiful. The vast tracks of unsettled lands; those given over the blinding snows and titanic forests, were used by Lord-Generals as trophy-hunting grounds, given the terrifying monsters that stalked it. Now though, the world is empty. A dead, desolate world, with all traces of life and beauty blasted away by the genocidal Necrons.

Fortress-Monastery

Svyatilishche was the vast citadel of the Frost Claws, with its placement in the middle of the world's huge, fortified capital city of Simargl, it was near unassailable by all but the most determined and probably suicidal opponents. Meaning quite literally 'Sanctuary' Svyatilishche reflected the Frost Claws brutal and functional nature. Set in the middle of a city, already fortified with immense walls, Svyatilishche was, in effect, a fortress within a fortress. In many ways, the entirety of Simargl is militarised, every building has been built to allow its use in urban combat, buildings set-up to provide its defenders kill-zones, foundations rigged with explosives to collapse them upon attackers or enemies within.

Chapter Organisation

The Frost Claws were a Codex-compliant Chapter, however, given their skill in siege and mechanised assault actions, the Frost Claws often operated in smaller combat squads to cover more ground. Though a minor deviation, the Chapter Champion is not part of the Honour Guard.

Specialist Ranks

  • The Primety - Translated into Low Gothic as 'the Omens' this cadre of warriors served as the Chapter Master's personal attendants. Split into two wings; the Czernobog and the Belobog, the Primety were a terrifying foe to face, each side diametrically opposed in purpose but working in perfect unison. The Czernobog, clad in blackest armour and lurking behind their Chapter Master, served as their Lord's personal killers, undertaking all the dark and unsavoury deeds seen as unbefitting of a Frost Claw. Cold killers and saboteurs, the Czernobog spread anarchy and death amongst their foes, splitting them apart before their master arrived. The Belobog by contrast, were seen as a symbol of everything a Frost Claw should be. Clad in snow white armour, the Belobog were the shining symbols of the Warriors of Marzanna's Rest, tireless champions defending their liege.
  • The Druzhina - Unlike other Chapters, the Chapter Champion of the Frost Claws is not a member of the honour guard. It is always the Druzhina that is sent to the Feast of Blades tournament. Where the Belobog of the Primety are paragons of the Chapter, the Druzhina is seen in a spiritual light, a warrior blessed by their watchful Primarch.

Line Ranks

  • Strelets - The Tactical Marines of the Chapter, the Strelets were the backbone of the Chapter. Redoubtable and unflinching, these warriors were virtually immovable. They are highly drilled and organised, forcing them back is a truly difficult task given their skill in urban warfare and sieges, they have become skilled in the usage of flamers and other, more indiscriminate weapons, though the redoubtable bolter is always present, spitting fire as the Frost Claws march forwards under the eyes of Dorn.

Chapter Recruitment

Because of its unforgiving climate, the Frost Claw's recruitment method is very simple. Never short on willing volunteers, those selected by the Chapter to undergo the brutal testing rites, are, during the frigid colds of winter, taken to the outskirts of the immense capital city; Simargl and simply ordered to reach the Fortress-Monastery of Svyatilishche. Beforehand, the city has been ordered to lockdown, leaving the streets empty, save for a few scurrying recruits. Given the sheer scale of the city and the shutting down of it in its entirety, such a journey could take roughly a month, all whilst battling the deadly hail, freezing winds and snow, each other, and any other adversity the Frost Claws throw in the recruits way. As well, those living in the city had been armed by the Chapter before being locked-down, so aspirants attempting to survive via thievery must also content with well-armed security. This recruitment method drives their potential brothers, already hardened by the brutality of their homeworld, to the brink. Many, in madness, simply give up, wandering the desolate streets until they die. Those who do not are welcomed as Frost Claws however, as with all things on Marzanna's Rest, the completion of one trial, merely means the beginning of another; for the life of a Frost Claw is a single long trial, a strive to be worthy in the eyes of their watchful gene-sire.

Chapter Beliefs

The Frost Claws were the tenacity of Rogal Dorn's sons taken to an extreme that neared insanity. Their belief that Rogal Dorn watched their actions at all times, rendered them obstinate beyond reason in their efforts to make him proud. This ironclad determination blended well with their homeworld's own cold, hardy population. The Talons of Marzanna's Rest are a stony-faced lot, with their belief that Rogal Dorn watches their every action, they are always stiff-backed and forbidding. Because their world is a civilised one, the Frost Claws do not have some of the more esoteric beliefs that Chapters such as the Sun Serpents and Children of Seth hold. Even so, the old beliefs of the world affect the Frost Claws, with great bear-skin trophies being a common reminder of their world.

To the Frost Claws, hardship and adversity are the greatest teachers. To train themselves and maintain their strength of purpose and will, battle-brothers may voluntarily undertake brutal and unforgiving trials, such as Koschei, the sole survivor, stalking one of the world's great forests, to hunt one of the great ursine monsters within, stripped of his armour and armed only with a combat knife. In the Frost Claws, nothing was given, everything must be earned, from the right to wield a simple bolter, to advancement in the ranks, in the eyes of the Chapter, everything must be struggled for and repeatedly tested.

Chapter Gene-Seed

Due to the tampering of Project Homo Sapiens Novus, the Frost Claw's gene-seed has reacquired the organs the Imperial Fist's had lost to degeneration. As such the gene-seed was seen as one of the few successes of the genetor's manipulations, however, given the bizarre mental defect it introduced this view is incredibly simplistic.

Genetic Flaws

Before their extinction, a bizarre mania seemed to affect the Frost Claws. For reasons unknown, perhaps due to the tampering Genetors of Inculaba, every single member of the Chapter believed they could, on some spiritual (and in many cases literal) level, feel their Primarch watching them, judging their actions. This led to an almost paranoid stubbornness in the Chapter, hoping to prove themselves to Rogal Dorn. This near suicidal tenacity is believed to be the reason both for the Chapter's ultimate demise and the astounding amount of time the Frost Claws held out against the vast horde of Necrons.

Combat Doctrine

Like their progenitors, the Frost Claws are renowned for their skill in defence and fortification actions. As well, they show an aptitude in sieges and mechanised warfare. Utterly uncompromising, the Warriors of Marzanna's Rest, even as relentless fire tears through them, refuse to give a single inch. There was a common folk-tale on their homeworld; an angel, unwilling to fail the master of mankind, stood against a horde of twisted monsters, once brothers in arms of his, now warped by greed. As the angel and the horde battled, the angel's right side was nearly torn to pieces, his arm had been removed, one side of his face reduced to a bloody skull-grin and his leg a ruined mess, yet still he battled on, ‘till his loyal siblings arrived, astride their great metal steeds. This tale perfectly encapsulates the Frost Claws.

As well as their astounding stubbornness, the Chapter can bring forth an astonishing armoury of vehicles, led by their prized relic; the Baba Yaga, an ancient spartan tank discovered long ago in the Chapter's early years. These Frost Claws, though brilliant, are perhaps, not the most subtle or sophisticated Chapter. With the roar of their armour raining explosive death down upon their enemy, shattering his holds, the Chapter is like a brutal-hammer, crushing its enemies. Assaults by the Warriors of Marzanna’s Rest are always led by a great armoured speartip, their war machines blasting their way into the heart of their enemies, before with oaths of destruction and rage, the Frost Claws March from the armoured bowels of their vehicles. Usually led by Drak’s Roar land raiders, vomiting forth great tides of fire and shattering streets under their constant bombardment.

Though they are destructive Chapter, the Frost Claws had a cold and utilitarian gift for fortification. Unlike their cousins in the Imperial Fists, they are not builders of great fortresses in both artistry and function, the brutal bastions of the Frost Claws are an blunt aegis, keeping those within its harsh walls safe.

Deathwatch Service

During the time of their extinction, the Frost Claws had no known members serving in the Deathwatch. Because of their more insular nature, the Frost Claws rather sparingly sent members to serve the long watch. Prized for their unrelenting nature, they were also found lacking in fellowship, almost as glacial as their homeworld, their strange genetic quirk was also off-putting to most. Despite this unnerving attitude, their skill at arms during urban warfare; a situational awareness par excellence in the crumbling ruins of cities and the aptitude and throughness is seeking out threats to be slain, was a welcome compromise.

Notable Members

  • Veteran Sergeant Koschei - During the Death of Marzanna's Rest, Koschei, who until that point had been the veteran-sergeant of the illustrious Perun Squad, was promoted to de-facto leader of the Frost Claws by then Chapter Master Andrei Borka, and, before the Chapter's final charge against the massive Necron horde, was ordered to escape to Terra, and to resurrect the Frost Claws. Along with the two surviving members of his squad; Ivan Alois and Drago Jarek, Koschei would embark on a bizarre and near impossible odyssey to Terra. In the end, whilst he managed to petition the High Lords of Terra to release stored Frost Claws gene-seed, the actions of the Enochian Inquisitor Kirivian would result in Koschei's disappearance and his petition's dismissal. His current whereabouts are unknown.
  • Ivan Alois - A veteran warrior of Perun squad, during his sergeant, now Chapter Master Koschei's flight from their homeworld to Terra, Ivan and his fellow squadmate Drago, were promoted to the Primety; with the former becoming to sole member of the Czernobog and the latter of the Belobog. Ivan was killed before the trio could reach Terra, being mobbed by a horde of hullghasts, during their travel through the Space Hulk; Endless Desolation.
  • Drago Jarek - A veteran warrior of Perun squad, during his sergeant, now Chapter Master Koschei's flight from their homeworld to Terra, Drago and his fellow squadmate Ivan, were promoted to the Primety; with the former becoming to sole member of the Belobog and the latter of the Czernobog. Drago would be killed during Inquisitor Kirivian's attempt to wipe out the Chapter, his spine and hearts severed by an Eversor Assassin.
  • Chapter Master Andrei Borka - The Chapter Master who led the Frost Claws during the Harvest of Marzanna's Rest. It was Andrei Borka who ordered Perun Squad to evacuate onboard the Deathless to Terra, to restore the Chapter after their glorious last stand.
  • Druzhina Andrik Viktor - One of the most famous Druzhina, Andrik Viktor was one the wielders of the Dornsblade. As the winner of the Feast of Blades, Andrik was given their Primarch's sword to wield. In the years since his death at the hands of Jain Zar, Andrik was seen as the greatest of the Frost Claw's heroes.

Chapter Fleet

Before their destruction, the Frost Claw's fleet was surprisingly large. Given their specialisation with defence actions, the size of the Frost Claws fleet was perhaps related to that, given it seems geared towards orbital insertion, supporting their brothers in defence by deploying veterans or bombarding their foes. The fact that they owned four battle-barges is a curious one and their acquisition was a subject of much inquisitorial interest. These inquiries have since been put to rest, rendered moot by the cruelty of the Necrons.

  • Porevit (Battle-Barge)
  • Oakhide (Battle-Barge)
  • Three-Headed Sovereign (Battle-Barge) - The last of the Frost Claw's mighty Battle-Barges to be destroyed by the Necrons. In the end, it was the destroyed by the combined firepower of the cryptek-subverted Oakhide, the Darkest Harvest and Hand of Desolation a pair of scythe-class vessels. In the end, before its destruction, the Three-Headed Sovereign (despite incursions of Flayed Ones within its structure on a scale similar to what had rendered the Great Bear completely lifeless), was able to destroy the xeno-dominated Oakhide and as it self-destructed, the Hand of Desolation.
  • Great Bear (Battle-Barge) - During the destruction of their homeworld, the Great Bear remained in low orbit, constantly bombarding the unstoppable Necron horde. For the shard of Mag'ladroth leading the tomb's forces, this continued bombardment served as an unconscionable threat. So it was, that the C'tan's servants deliberately called forth ghoulish hordes of Flayed Ones from their barren sub-space into the guts of the Great Bear. Though its crew fought valiantly, in the end, the endlessly regenerating horde of flesh-hungry xenos won out, leaving the Great Bear an empty charnel house.
  • Little Bear (Caestus Assault Ram)
  • The Deathless (Stormraven) - This stormraven served as transport for Koschei, Ivan and Drago, the final survivors of Perun squad and indeed the Frost Claws. Tasked with reaching Terra and restoring the Frost Claws to glory, the Deathless escaped the nightmarish slaughter in the space above Marzanna’s Rest. In the end after running out of fuel, after drifting for several days, the Deathless was abandoned after scavengers attempted to pick it for parts. In honour of the stalwart vessel, Koschei took its name as his title and his duty as de facto Chapter Master.

Chapter Armoury

Because of their specialisation in defence and mechanised assault, the Frost Claws had a massive supply of tanks, rather incredibly including an ancient Spartan. Older than the Chapter itself, the tank; renamed the Baba Yaga when it was discovered, was always at the forefront of an assault, sally forth to crush the Frost Claw's enemies beneath its mighty treads. As well as an ancient Spartan Tank, the tech-adepts of the Frost Claws were the creators of the Land Raider variant known as Drak’s Roar, a pattern designed for sieges and urban combat.

  • Drak's Roar pattern (Land Raider) - Outfitted with two racks of typhoon missiles, two sponson flamestorm cannons and a pintle-mounted grenade launcher, the Drak’s Roar pattern is deadly in urban combat. Created during the great cull after the Age of Apostasy, during the siege of Kuhrr, the Drak's Roar pattern was geared towards shattered and disrupting the hordes of enemies. With its racks of typhoon missiles, it can relentlessly pound at the walls where foes lurk, collapsing the buildings upon them.
  • Baba Yaga (Relic Spartan Tank) - Once the crown jewel of the Chapter, this relic of the Great Crusade was discovered relatively early in the Chapter's history, seemingly abandoned on the world of Rügen. Sadly, during the last stand of the Frost Claws, she was subverted by the perverse abilities of the C'tan shard that led the assault, with the Void Dragon using his powers to dominate and bend the tank to his will. As the Necrons surrounded the Spartan and the tank itself turned on its masters, the former pilot, now unable to control the vehicle destroyed the core, detonating himself and a chunk of the Necron horde.

Chapter Relics

  • Koschei's Defiance - Technically not a relic of the Frost Claws, this bolter was recovered after the disappearance of the sole surviving member of the Frost Claws; de facto Chapter Master Koschei. Discovered amidst the carnage of what would be revealed to be an assassination attempt by Inquisitor Kirivian, a follower of the secretive Enochian sect. After its discovery, it was claimed by the Black Templars and armed with incendiary bullets that use the fuel mixture created on Marzanna's Rest and used by the Frost Claws.
  • Grasp of the Endless Blizzard - These ancient Crusade Pattern lightning claws were once the traditional weapons of the Frost Claw's Chapter Master. However, during the Chapter's destruction they were lost believed destroyed during the Frost Claw's last stand against the Necron horde, Andrei Borka not being able to pass them to his successor Koschei before he was ordered to escape.
  • Banner of Unyielding Vigilance - The most ancient banner of the Chapter.

Chapter Appearance

Chapter Colours

The Talons of Marzanna's Rest had a two-tone colour scheme; their torso, arms, pauldrons and legs were a pale icy blue and their helmets and backpacks were a bright white. The two major variations of their colour schemes were the two halves of the Primety. For the Belobog, it is an inverse of their standard colour scheme, symbolising their duty to be paragons of the Frost Claws. The Czernobog were similar, though instead of white, their armour was black, so representing the thousand black deeds they must do for their Chapter, deeds only they and their lord Primarch could truly know of. Battle-brothers also occasionally decorate their armour with symbols of their homeworld's old stories, was well as trophies (capes made from the skins of the great bears of the world being popular)

Chapter Badge

The Chapter badge is four talons, shaped as though grasping forwards. The Symbol itself is remarkably similar to stylised depictions of the claws of the great bears of Marzanna's Rest.

Relations

Before their extinction and Koshchei's subsequent disappearance on Terra, the Frost Claws, owing to their status as a Chapter of the 21st, as well as the bizarre paranoiac behaviour caused by their gene-seed, were regarded with concern and wariness by virtually all, save for some in the Black Templars and Imperial Fists. With the former believing 'the eyes of the Primarch' is a blessing from the Emperor and the latter seeing it as a regrettable quirk, but one which spurred them to greatness. Because of their unwavering devotion to their Primarch and parent legion, the Frost Claw's name was etched into one of Rogal Dorn's skeletal hands as is Imperial Fist tradition. The Enochian sect of the Imperial Inquisition, which has extensive roots in the Ordo Hereticus, saw the Frost Claw's decimation and near-extinction as a prime opportunity to eradicate another Chapter of Space Marines, given their radical beliefs.

Allies

Enemies

  • Imperial Inquisition (Specifically the Enochian Sect) - The Enochians are a radical school of though in the Inquisition, though officially disavowed, the Echonians have managed to acquire a disturbing level of influence in the Imperium. The philosophy holds, that the Adeptus Astartes, are the cause of the Imperium's deteriorating state, that their creation was a mistake. The Enochians believe that every member of the Astartes; serf, Marine, even the Primarchs should be wiped out. Given their fragile situation the Frost Claws were prime targets of the Enochian's wrath. Disturbingly, rumours circulated that the notorious Inquisitor Apollyon, has ties to the followers of this philosophy.
