The Apocalypse Armored Defence Force, or A.D.F for short, is an Astra Militarum regiment operating on the frontier world Apocalypse. The regiment's origin is unknown, although it is known that they arrived on Apocalypse at the very end of the 41st Millennium. The world is in a constant state of war due to the Ork WAAAGH! lead by Warboss Ironjawz. The war on the world has been going for several decades and most of the first generation guardsman died off and a second generation of "fresh meat" guardsman are taking their place. The regiment specializes in armoured warfare to minimize losses against the ork hordes. In general, the regiment receives little to no support from the greater Imperium.

The A.D.F arrived on Apocalypse in the year 999.M41 to stop an Ork invasion of the once populated pleasure world. The war would continue on for 40 years with the once beautiful open green plains of the world replaced with cold charred stone and rock. The world has been reduced to a smouldering heap with no strategic value. The human population has been folded into the guard due to the destruction of any official government facilities on the world. Now the war is in its 41st year.

Regimental Organisation[]
Regimental Combat Doctrine[]
The A.D.F employs a similar combat doctrine to the Armageddon Steel Legion in that they use Chimera armoured transports to move men across the battlefield, then quickly dismounting the troops on objectives or combat zones. The chimaeras are supported by Leman Russ Battle Tanks. All guardsmen on the world are trained to crew, repair, and command Chimera transports, and all guardsmen are trained to strip, load, and fire lasguns by age 5 and can man a Chimera by age 12. The average squad will have one sergeant, one special weapon and one grenadier. The average company will contain 30 squads of ten men with 1 chimera per squad. Leman Russ tanks operate separately from the infantry. The tanks are in the "Aces" which consists of 10,000 tanks of differing variants. The tanks will work in joint operations with the infantry.

the uniform of the A.D.F is field grey fatigues with black flak armour this is used as camouflage for the scorched grey and black wastes.
Regimental Badge[]
The Regiments on Apocalypse use officially a red diamond with their regimental number to identify who they are and where they belong, but the infantry often scratches off their official badges for custom emblems, often skull motifs and playing card suits. (for example the 144 "aces")
Regimental Uniform & Equipment[]
the A.D.F uses Cadian standard gear for their infantry do to the cheap and easy to produce nature of cadian gear. the troops will be given 3 lasgun power packs, 3 grenades, and a bayonet. the troops are all equipped with m36 las rifle. heavy weapons teams are armed with heavy bolters and lascannons for both anti-infantry and anti-tank support.
