The Eyes of Ferrus (known also as the 'Eyes of Iron') are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter and are a confirmed successor of the Iron Hands. They are of the recent Ultima Founding in which their Chapter mostly consists primarily of Primaris Space Marines. This chapter suffers from a unique gene-seed flaw that some speculate to be pre-ordained by Divine will or by dark intervention, depending on who you ask.
Chapter History
The founding of this chapter is said to have been foretold before the Ultima Founding even occurred by an ancient story of myth and legend known simply as 'The Gaze':
In the deep bowels of the Gorgon's Forge lie the Skull of Ferrus Manus himself. One day the Skull attracted the attention of the Guardians of the Forge, Clan Haarmek, and all the Librarians on Medusa sensed a powerful warp presence coming from the Skull. Many of these Librarains, as well as some Chaplains to monitor the situation, and some Techmarines to take readings arrived at the location of this peculiar event. It is said that at least one representative of each Clan was in attendance of this incident, although this was never confirmed.
Then suddenly as the Skull was being inspected, a near blinding silvery light beamed out of the skulls eye sockets and brightened the whole chamber from the skulls gaze. What happened next differs in detail from each Marine’s account of the event, but the general view is that a voice similar to Ferrus Manus’s himself came from the skull that said in a general message to each Marine, yet in different phrases, “Look to the Future”. After this was spoken the warp presence suddenly faded and the Skull returned to it’s inert state.
Founding
In the year 999.M41 the Ultima Founding began and the “Eyes of Ferrus” Chapter was created. The name coming from a Ferrus Manus’d Gene seed Primaris Captain who was one of Belisarius Cawl’s chosen, who had no information on the story of the Gaze beforehand. To add more mystery to the Chapter, the gene seed stock suffered a minor cosmetic deformity. This caused all those who received the gene to have Silver coated eyes, completely similar to Ferrus Manus himself. This is especially suspicious since his eyes were the cause of a event with fighting a Necron weapon of war, rather than a genetic trait the Primarch had.
News of this chapter, it’s name, and it’s gene flaw reached many a interested factions. The Adeptus Mechanicus, Iron Hands, as well as their successors all heard news of this chapter and it's gene flaw knowing of the myth that was the Gaze that possibly foretold something like this chapter's creation. The Eyes of Ferrus were met with scrutiny and curiosity from these factions of the Omnissiah.
To satisfy their observation of this chapter at the low cost it would take, a well known Judicar of the Iron Hands was chosen to become their Chaplain in order to mentor and observe the growth and actions of this new chapter seemingly born from myth itself. The new Chaplain known as "Struum Exactoris" approached the Chapter Master of the Eyes of Ferrus with this demand to join the Chapter as a Chaplain Reclusiarch. In order to dissipate the doubts of their Founding Chapter and their supporters, as well as to begin to gain their trust, also to have ties to the past of the Iron Hands and their successors, he accepted.

Chapter Gene-Seed
Their Gene-Seed is confirmed to be of the Primarch Ferrus Manus.
Primarch's Curse: Eyes of Iron
The flaw of the Eye of Ferrus is quite obvious to most, they all possess the silver eyes similar to that of their fallen Primarch. This has come under some scrutiny by the Inquisition, how ever they have yet to find any evidence that points to this being a corruption of the Dark Gods.

Notable Campaigns
The Cindris Campaign
Following the string of Drukhari raids in the Cindris sector, the 4th Company of the Eyes of Ferrus chapter of the Adeptus Astartes has been summoned to Iryyck V in hopes that they may resolve the situation where the current imperial response has failed. Upon arrival, the Astartes Fleet found a retreating, small fleet of ships of the Flayed Skull Kabal. After a well fought naval battle and boarding action skirmish upon the flagship of the lead xenos vessel, the Eyes of Ferrus were absolutely appalled at the clear amount of depravity and torture enacted upon the captured citizens of the Imperium by the Drukhari. This enraged the fleet commander and Astartes, and after the spread of this travesty’s word across the rest of the chapter caused them to go on an offensive campaign against the Drukhari in the region across most of the Chapters Companies.
