"From will comes devotion, from devotion comes valor, from valor comes sacrifice, and sacrifice leads to death eternal. This is our truth, this is our purpose, our eternal duty."
— Capellán Lucio de la Torre.

The Eternal Sons, known as Hijos Eternos, stand as enigmatic sentinels among the Adeptus Astartes, a semi-Codex compliant Chapter born of Sanguinius’ bloodline during the 3rd Founding 001.M32. Clad in matte black ceramite with bone-white accents and turquoise sigils, they are the unyielding guardians of Noche Eterna—a feudal death world in the north limits of Charadon Sector in the Ultima Segmentum, cloaked in near-eternal twilight, where artificial turquoise lagoons shimmer like captured stars and baroque spires rise in solemn grandeur. Renowned for their expertise in mainly engaging Heretic forces they wield shadow and steel with lethal precision.

Sworn to punish the guilty and shield the innocent, their sacred oath is woven into a merciless creed. They wield La Crucifixión—a grim rite of execution upon an X-shaped crux—as a precise instrument of terror, paired with silent shadow-warfare honed in Noche Eterna’s veil. Reserved for slavers, Heretic Defilers, and xenos defilers, this ritual is no indulgence but a calculated tool, complemented by Sangrias—bloodletting rites that harness the omophagea to unveil enemy stratagems through crimson visions these blood sacraments also serve as prophetic insights when a Profeta does the rite.

Before conflict, the Eternal Sons raise grim crucifixes upon the battlefields, their X-shaped silhouettes sundering the foe’s resolve. Through Sangrias, sacred bloodletting rites, they invoke the omophagea’s crimson whispers, drawing forth veiled truths of enemy designs. In victory’s wake, these stark totems endure—macabre sentinels etched in turquoise and bone, proclaiming doom to those who dare prey upon the Emperor’s helpless. Yet their terror is bound by sacred limits, never staining the innocent. One precise judgment, wrought in shadow and steel, spares a thousand souls from the maw of damnation.

Though their verdicts burn with unrelenting severity, their purpose remains pure. On Noche Eterna, the Eternal Sons are steadfast stewards, maintaining sacred reliquaries of the honored dead, protecting the faithful with nocturnal vigils, sharing Cielo Negro in communion with the humble, and lighting turquoise flames to guide the weary. Their speech is blunt, laced with cynical wit and occasional vulgarity, yet they offer courtly deference to the common folk. Cruel to the cruel, gentle to the virtuous, they embrace the Imperium’s scorn as monsters—so long as their fangs and blades stand between the innocent and the abyss, For sacrifice is needed for salvation.

Chapter History[]

Founding[]

In 001.M32, during the Third Founding decreed by the High Lords of Terra, the Blood Angels were granted multiple Writs of Succession to divide the IXth Legion into successor Chapters. Among them, a company renowned for its mastery of shadow-warfare—executing Strategic Decapitation Strikes, Planetary Interdiction Campaigns, ambushes and meticulous bloodletting strategies during the Horus Heresy—was chosen to form a new chapter . Tasked by the Legion with the stewardship of Noche Eterna since just after the Horus Heresy, a world shrouded in near-perpetual darkness, the match was ordained by fate: a brotherhood forged in vigilance and resilience, sworn to guard a planet where night reigns eternal and fear must be conquered, not fled. Under the first Chapter Master, Former captain of the 77th Company of the Blood Angels IX Legion and Founder of the Chapter, the First Penitente, Chapter Master Lazarous "The Reborn", they established a legacy of sacrifice.

+++Classified by The Chapter Master and High Ranking Brothers of the Chapter. Please insert Holy credentials here to access this restricted file+++

Under this charge, the Eternal Sons forged a culture of patience, penitence, and uncompromising duty: steel for the wicked, shelter for the weak. Their public devotions honor the Angel’s sacrifice; their private meditations cling to endurance—lamplight held against the long dark.

Whispers within the Apothecarion suggest, without certainty, that Noche Eterna may have subtly shaped the Chapter’s gene-expression across centuries and later millennia. The planet’s peculiar atmospheric aerosols and mineral particulates,—perhaps compounded by the local diet and rigorous hematological conditioning—might have tempered the Red Thirst and Black Rage within the IXth gene-line. Officially, the Eternal Sons are of Blood Angels stock; yet, their medical ledgers hint at an unusual stability regarding those ancient afflictions, though whether this is truth, adaptation, or mere coincidence remains a matter of speculation among the Apothecaries, with no definitive proof to anchor their theories.

They believe, Noche Eterna’s influence has granted them with two new Chapter-unique expressions: about 5% of brothers bear El Llanto del Ángel (“the Angel’s Cry”)—blood-teared visions of lament and warning that Chaplains deem sacred echoes and the Librarians study with caution—while roughly 95% of brothers manifest El Dolor del Ángel (“the Angel’s Pain”), a brief combat surge of sweating blood, bared fangs, and terrible vigor in body and mind that fades to cold clarity, logged by Apothecaries as a stress-spike shaped by perpetual combat.

All Sons share stark physiological markers: charcoal-to-ink dark sclera adapted to glareless night, and pronounced “angelic” fangs—ritually sanctified at initiation and most prominent when El Dolor takes hold—making their black-and-bone figures unmistakable on the field.

Founding the Monastery of the Lagoons[]

At the Chapter’s birth, — it was selected the largest of Noche Eterna’s artificial turquoise lagoons in the central belt as the site of their fortress-monastery. With leave of the Populace, they oversaw the raising of spans and sanctums of ivory and black steel, etched with baroque lines and turquoise sigils. From this heart, they watch the south’s windy desert and the north’s pale mountains, riding the world’s high-speed veins to answer any darkened call.

Notable Campaigns[]

  • The Last Promise at Noche Eterna (Early M32): In the year 030.M32, traitorous Heretic Astartes clad in flesh motifs attacked Noche Eterna, possibly seeking relics or someone. The Chapter Founder, Caballero Eterno Lazarous led four-man cells to evacuate civilians and crush the assault. He fell on the heart-bridge under a partial eclipse, with his Iconic Blade in Hand, securing the planet and setting the Chapter’s creed of vigilant sacrifice. His eternal Penitence was over. He earned his salvation.
"Heh, look at that damn eclipse, half-hiding the pale sun like it’s shy... blood tears streakin’ my face, and I’m thinkin’—, I finally did somethin’ worth a damn in this cursed life. Duty’s done, Angel’s proud, and I’m goin’ out in shadow and glory, Ma, Im coming Home"
—The final words of The Chapter Founder the First Penitente and favored son of Sanguinius, spat with a weary grin on the heart-bridge of Noche Eterna’s greatest lagoon during the Last Promise (Mid M32), his iconic blade gripped tight, having carved victory from Heretic Astartes at the cost of his own blood-soaked end.
  • The Ashen Choir of Kharax-Θ (Mid M35): In mid-M35, Heretic forces desecrated Kharax-Θ, spreading Chaos across its hives. The Eternal Sons and Blood Angels united, the Sons’ shadow ambushes shattering enemy cohesion, allowing the Angels’ scarlet fury to reclaim the world. This first shared triumph forged a lasting bond, their Sanguinary valor shining as one.
  • The Ecstatic Purge of Schindelgeist (753.M38): In mid-M38, the Eternal Sons, guided by El Llanto del Ángel visions, uncovered a Slaanesh cult, the Veiled Ecstasy, on Schindelgeist in Segmentum Ultima. Using abduction and Lethal Crucifixión, they extracted plans for a daemonic incursion via sangrias rites, alerting the Angels of Slaughter—marking the first meeting of these two Sanguinius successor chapters. The Sons disrupted cult lines with shadow ambushes, while the Angels unleashed drop pod assaults and shock charges with flamers and meltaguns, crushing the heretics. The incursion was halted, and the Angels gifted the Sons a "Sanguine Collisionary" Terminator Armour suit, forging a blood-tied alliance.
  • Waaagh! Turquesa Rota (M39): In M40, Orks of Waaagh! Turquesa Rota threatened Noche Eterna’s trade lanes. The Sons used guerrilla tactics, luring greenskins into ambushes, collapsing bridges, and killing Warboss Guttstomp in a decapitation strike. The Waaagh! collapsed, preserving the planet and its people. Noche Eterna and his children survived once again.
  • Tears over Juran's Belt (Mid M41): In late M41, the Sons and Lamenters evacuated Juran’s Belt civilians under Chaos siege. When Minotaurs tried to “reprioritize” assets, the Sons blocked them at gunpoint. Space Wolf observers ensured Minotaur withdrawal, saving lives but earning the Minotaurs Ire.
  • The Charadon Incursion (Late M41): In 999.M41, simultaneous with the Devastation of Baal, a massive Chaos incursion erupted near the Charadon Sector in Ultima Segmentum, where Noche Eterna is located, as combined warbands of the Night Lords and Iron Warriors rampaged toward the planet's systems, drawn by whispers of ancient relics hidden in its shadowed depths and the allure of breaking a world of unyielding faith through terror and siege. With at least one entire company always stationed on Noche Eterna as a vigilant safeguard against unforeseen threats, the other five companies—led by Chapter Master Gustavo "Caballero Eterno" de Gonzalo, 1st Company Captain Sebastián "MataXenos" del Ángel, and Chief Capellán Diego "Confesor" Khalo—engaged in an intense, grueling conflict of ambush warfare, sabotage, and decapitation strikes to repel the heretic legions. Failure in this desperate defense would have spelled the fall of Noche Eterna itself, dooming its shadowed people and the Chapter's sacred heart. Through unyielding devotion and tactical precision, they shattered the incursion's momentum, holding the line at tremendous cost and allowing the remaining brothers to heed the call to Baal without abandoning their eternal duty to home.
  • Devastation of Baal (Late M41): In 999.M41, as Hive Fleet Leviathan's ravenous swarm engulfed Baal, the sacred cradle of Sanguinius' legacy, the Eternal Sons felt the anguished call of their progenitor bloodline resonate through their veins. Without hesitation, they dispatched four entire companies—almost half their Chapter’s strength—in a desperate rush across the warp-torn void, brothers united in fervent devotion to defend the Angel's home against the unending Tyranid horror. Amid the blood-soaked dunes and crumbling spires, they fought with unyielding valor, their execution strikes severing synapse links and buying precious moments for beleaguered defenders. The cost was catastrophic—less than two dozen Sons survived, among them the fallen heroes Guillermo "Sexto" de Hierro, Chief Mecánico, and Alejandro "Zorro" de Vega, The Captain of the 7th Company, whose deaths left scars upon the Chapter’s heart. The echoes of the Black Rage haunted the survivors, yet their sacrifice held the line.
"Man, look at this mess—Tyranid corpses stacked high, my brothers’ bodies broken at my feet. Blood’s leakin’ from my eyes, sweat’s pourin’ red, and that damn curse is screamin’ HORUS in my head. But you know what? We held the damn line, carved those bugs to hell, and Sanguinius’ light still shines through our blood. My heart’s burstin’, my blood’s spillin’—this is my last stand, my duty done, under Baal’s cryin’ sky."
—Spoken during the Devastation of Baal (999.M41), Alejandro "Zorro" de Vega, Former 7th Company Captain (Deceased), final, defiant words.
  • Torchbearer’s Gift at Noche Eterna (Early M42): In the wake of the Devastation of Baal, a Torchbearer Fleet of the Indomitus Crusade arrived at Noche Eterna, bearing Primaris reinforcements and the sacred technology to forge new Primaris Space Marines upon the Chapter’s shadowed homeworld. Accompanying the fleet were a small contingent of golden-armored Adeptus Custodes and Sisters of Silence, their presence a solemn safeguard against any threat to the invaluable Primaris gene-seed and machinery—ensuring no xenos incursion or heretical whisper could compromise the Emperor's gift. Under Roboute Guilliman’s decree, these reinforcements honored the Eternal Sons’ unbreakable sacrifice, replenishing their depleted ranks and fortifying their eternal vigil against the encroaching darkness. The turquoise-lit forges of the fortress-monastery hummed anew, as Curanderos and Mecánicos adapted the Primaris gene-seed to Noche Eterna’s unique conditions, ensuring the Chapter’s rebirth under the pale sun and Black Moon.
"Eternal Sons, your blood has been shed without falter in the Angel’s name. The Emperor’s will grants you Primaris strength, a testament to your unyielding sacrifice, reforging your Chapter beneath Noche Eterna’s pale sun."
—Shield-Captain Alexandros of the Adeptus Custodes, spoken in the turquoise-lit Fortaleza Inmortal during the Torchbearer’s Gift (Early M42).
  • 012.M42, Khar Vex: Monsoons lashed Khar Vex as Waaagh! Grimgutz ravaged flooded hives, Ork stompas churning acid muck, “rain-kannons” shredding PDF remnants. The Rain Raiders, Ultima Founding White Scars successors, struck under Captain T'saran, bolt-bikes and jump-packs tearing into greenskin mobs, lightning claws carving through waves. Yet the Ork tide pushed them toward the scrap-fort core, vox-channels humming with calls for aid. The Eternal Sons’ 3rd Company, the Ghost Riders, descended in turquoise-etched black ceramite. Sangrias spilled greenskin blood, omophagea revealing squig-bomb traps in the hive’s heart. Their savage assaults carved paths for T'saran’s lightning raids, maxetes and claws gutting Grimgutz’s bodyguard in a storm of blood and sparks. Crucifixes rose, turquoise-and-bone silhouettes breaking Ork resolve. The warboss fell, kannon slagged, in shared slaughter. As rains eased, T'saran traded his chain-axe for a Ghost Rider’s chain-maxete, sealing alliance. The chapters stood as allies, kills forging respect under Khar Vex’s skies.

Chapter Homeworld[]

Noche Eterna[]

Noche Eterna is a feudal/death world cloaked in ceaseless dusk beneath a ghostly sun and ebon moon, forges warriors in its stark realms: northern highlands of knightly valor in giant fortresses, central lagoons aglow with cultured sanctity, and southern promethium wastes of outlaw grit, each a crucible of peril where souls are tempered against the galaxy’s ravenous void.

The Angel's Promise[]

In the Great Crusade, Primarch Sanguinius, radiant as a golden seraph, descended upon Noche Eterna’s greatest turquoise lagoon, its spires aglow with divine light. His words, “Do not be afraid” bound the world to the Emperor’s will without blade or bolt, forging an eternal covenant that burns in the Eternans and their guardians, the Eternal Sons.

Location[]

Noche Eterna dwells in in the Charadon Sector of the Ultima Segmentum, resides in Imperium Sanctus, where the Astronomican’s light is faint and warp-shadows cast long, perilous veils.

Description[]

Noche Eterna, a feudal death world in the Charadon Sector of Ultima Segmentum, lingers in eternal twilight beneath a pale sun and black stone moon. The farther one ventures from the equator, the brighter the stars and the greater the dangers. Its people, united as primos through Eternan—a dialect of ancient Terran Spanish—share a deep kinship despite regional differences.

NOCHE ETERNA

NOCHE ETERNA

  • North-Knightly Highlands: The northern highlands, with bone-white mountains and rain-soaked forests, yield grains, Elote (evolved corn), and Toroz cattle. Knightly villas and monasteries foster a chivalric culture of duels, ancestral ballads, and warrior feasts fueled by Cielo Negro ale. Dangers like storms and man-eating Planta Devoratrix vines forge resilient warriors. Travel relies on horse-drawn carriages, with rare promethium vehicles for the wealthy.
  • Central-Turquoise Lagoons: Noche Eterna’s central region features shimmering turquoise artificial lagoons, ancient marvels predating the great crusade, rich in medicinal flora and sacred red grapes, producing prized wines. These lagoons, dividing the planet along its equator, feed aqueducts flowing south, vital under a twilight sky. Elegant pale baroque cities, located only around the turquoise equator on the lagoons’ shores, house wealthy elites and traders from across the planet, dealing in promethium, minerals, crops, and meat. These cities thrive with elite monastic scriptoria fostering education in High Gothic, Imperial history, and Sanguinius’ teachings. Mag-trains connect marble avenues, while promethium powers aqua-pumps for fountains, silver-leaved parks, vibrant markets, and halls lit by turquoise lanterns, where holonovelas play. Marble Administratum offices and Sororitas convents thrive, with the Eternal Sons’ Fortaleza Inmortal at the heart of the greatest lagoon. Fortaleza Inmortal (Eternan: "Immortal Fortress").
  • South-Promethium Deserts: South: The southern region of Noche Eterna is a cracked desert rich in promethium and minerals, fueling the planet’s rustic industry for mechanica locomotives and weaponry. Secluded pueblos rely on lagoon aqueducts for water, connected by horse travel and rare promethium locomotives. Brash Eternan sharpshooters, wielding maxetes, knives, bolt pistols, and rifles, hold saga-chants and shooting contests. They craft Tekila, a potent drink from Crimson Agave, and grow Elote, a resilient corn, eating tacos made from scarce Toroz cattle or desert beasts. Blood Scorpions and sand serpents haunt the dunes, forging tough warriors. Further south, pueblos dwindle, but promethium, silver, and gold abound, transported by ancient, high-speed promethium rail-engines that also serve as a way of commuting between pueblos.
  • Kinship and Justice: Eternans support each other across regions, bound by shared hardship. Local justice is stern: northern lawbreakers face sword decapitation or hanging, southerners face shooting or hanging, and the worst criminals endure Lethal Crucifixión on X-shaped cruxes. Disputes are settled by duels—swords in the north, bolt revolvers in the south. The native Toroz, bull-like beasts, roam all regions, providing food and leather.
  • Planetary Defense Force (PDF): The Noche Eterna PDF unites Eternans in a formidable force, wielding longswords, halberds, bolt pistols, rifles, and machetes. Riding horses or rustic promethium Mecanica locomotives, they defend with precision and act as deputies, enforcing law and order across the planet., their shared heritage forging a cohesive brotherhood. Serving in the PDF is the second-highest honor, just below joining the Eternal Sons Chapter.

Faith[]

The Eternans revere La Santa Trinidad through the creed “En el nombre del Santisimo, del Ángel y de la Noche Eterna,”. In the name of the Holiest , the Angel and the Night Eternal. They see the emperor as The King that rules all over mankind and the galaxy , the Angel his glorious Son, a perfect being that was responsible for bringing their world into the Imperium and onto greater heights and the Night Eternal referencing their love and duty to their world and their People.

The Eternans (Regians)[]

Pale-skinned with dark sclera, Eternans are adapted to Noche Eterna’s dim light, their irises retaining color—brown, green, or rarely turquoise. Northerners dress in heavy cloaks, fur-lined coats, ornate armor, and flowing dresses, evoking knightly grandeur suited to their rugged highlands. Central lagoon-dwellers, the most fashionable, wear tailored garments with silver and rare gold accessories, reflecting their baroque cities’ elegance. Southerners don buttoned shirts, trousers, shoulder capes resembling ponchos, flat-brimmed hats, and leather boots, with bandanas shielding against dusty winds. Off-world, all Eternans on top of their preferred clothing also use sun glasses in almost any world they rarely visit.

Chapter Beliefs and Culture[]

The Eternal Sons see themselves as Shadow Warriors, grim brawlers forged in Noche Eterna’s twilight. They stand as unyielding sentinels between the galaxy’s devouring void and the innocent, wielding blades and blood by any means necessary to shield the faithful in the Emperor’s light, their eternal vigilance a silent requiem to Sanguinius’ sacrifice. Since their founding, they have held a profound belief in their own sense of salvation, which demands sacrifice—a redemption earned through unyielding devotion and the offering of blood, sacrifice and even their own lives to protect those they deem innocent.

Chapter Creed[]

  • Master of Mankind, is Nuestro Santisimo (The Holiest): The Eternal Sons hold a pragmatic, Astartes-typical reverence for the Emperor as the supreme architect of humanity and the Imperium’s unyielding will—Master of Mankind. Their Blood Angels lineage sharpens this stance: Sanguinius’ sacrifice looms as a tangible ideal of flawed perfection and selfless bravery, a standard to live and die by rather than distant theology to recite. Both serve as their main symbols of Faith.
  • Men, not angels: They do not style themselves divine messengers or sacred instruments. They are men—augmented, oath-bound, and lethal—who choose to stand the wall. Saints are for chapels; the Sons keep the line. The Angel’s Oath in deed: For the Sons, true devotion is action. They shield the innocent, crucify the guilty, and echo the Angel’s Oath—“Don’t be afraid”—in deeds, not prayers. Oaths are iron, dogma is dust; they will speak hard truths to power and peasantry alike when duty demands it.
  • La Santa Trinidad, kept and curated: On Noche Eterna, the populace venerates La Santa Trinidad— El Santisimo(Emperor as the king of Humanity , The Holiest Man that has ever lived), Ángel (Sanguinius as martyred savior), and la Noche Eterna (the Certainty and safety of the Eternal Night)—a futuristic Imperial Cult echoing ancient Terran Cathartic Faith. Nocturnal processions under turquoise flame are a planet-wide ritual, strongest in the north but uniting all regions in devotion. The Sons share and even protect this folk faith as a cultural mortar—useful for unity, morale, and meaning among mortals—while keeping a deliberate arm’s length. Faith is the tool; duty is the hand.
Adornments and Customs[]

Speech and Style

  • The Eternal Sons speak High Gothic with a frontier burr—blunt, direct, and laced with dry, biting humor. To outsiders, especially corrupt Administratum officials, despised Chapters like the Minotaurs, or wayward Reclusiarchs, they wield sharp sarcasm and open disdain. With worthy allies or common folk, they are polite, kind, and noble, engaging in genuine conversation with clever, understated, and often darkly ironic humor. Their promises, sealed in blood, are unbreakable, reflecting their resolute will.

Adornments[]

Penitente Markings

  • Penitentes, brothers marked for atonement, wear a full circular crown of crimson thorns on their helm, paired with red-painted gauntlets studded with thorns, symbolizing their sin and the grueling forty-year path to redemption.

Crescent Crown of Honor

  • Brothers who perform extraordinary acts of sacrifice without falling receive a crimson thorn crown broken into a crescent shape, like that of Chapter Master Gustavo "Caballero Eterno" de Gonzalo. Worn without red gauntlets or additional thorns, it symbolizes high honor, echoing Sanguinius’ selfless grace and marking those who shield the innocent from darkness.

Caballero Distinctions

  • Veterans of the 1st Company and Captains may earn the title of Caballero, signifying proven valor and leadership. Only Caballeros, including the Chapter Master, may wear the Crimson Halo—a blood-red, turquoise-etched helm ornament that functions as a protective energy shield akin to the Iron Halo, deflecting blows with the Angel’s grace.

Personalized Armor Engravings

  • Captains and some Lieutenants adorn select armor segments—such as a leg, arm, or half the suit—with intricate bone-white plating, muscle-patterned engravings, or baroque-style lines, evoking Noche Eterna’s stark beauty and the Chapter’s penitential ethos.

Traditional Adornments

  • Any brother, regardless of rank, may wear a poncho-like shoulder cape, flowing knightly robes, or bandanas as a tribute to their rugged heritage. Many adorn their armor with bones or skulls of Noche Eterna’s native Toroz, a large beast resembling Old Earth’s bulls, as a grim homage to their homeworld. The Chapter Master often combines a shoulder poncho with waist-covering robes, while some brothers incorporate muscle-patterned designs on their armor.

Habit and Dress

  • When not in combat or armor, Eternal Sons favor clothing reflecting Noche Eterna’s regions or personal comfort. Some wear simple long shirts with the Chapter’s weeping sigil, paired with trousers and sandals for relaxation. Others adopt regional garb: northerners in heavy cloaks, fur-lined coats, or ornate armor-like vests; central lagoon-dwellers in tailored attire with silver or rare gold accessories; southerners in buttoned shirts, trousers, poncho-like capes, flat-brimmed hats, bandanas, and leather boots. Off-world, under alien suns, they may add wide-brimmed hats or sunglasses, nodding to Noche Eterna’s twilight. The Chapter’s logo—a stylized crescent sun with closed eyes, weeping blood-tears—is proudly borne as a sigil, pendant, or embroidered emblem.

Customs and Rites[]

  • Populace: Every four weeks, the Eternal Sons are granted one week to dwell anywhere on Noche Eterna. Many return to their communities, guarding villages, teaching aspirants, or joining local rites in northern villas, central lagoon cities, or southern pueblos. Others explore the planet’s offerings—hunting blood scorpions in the deserts, fishing in turquoise lagoons, crafting art in baroque ateliers, visiting Sororitas convents to pray, or seeking solitude in the wilds. Thunderhawks deploy and retrieve them, their roar marking the start and end of this sacred respite, binding the Chapter to their world. And the People are both happy and honored to have them and house them in their communities, many inviting them over to their houses for feasts, sing ballads, participate in events, etc...
  • Communion of the Living: After victory, or in mourning, they share either Wine, Tekila , or Cielo Negro Ale mixed with A foes blood which is intoxicating. To drink is to remember the debt—to the fallen, to the saved, to the promise.
The Hunger calls[]
  • What it really is: Long campaigns make you hungry. Rations taste like chalk. When the shooting stops and the smoke clears, the Sons cook what’s on hand—usually “beast-flesh” from whatever xenos they just put down—and share a hot meal together. It’s simple, practical, and way better than flavorless paste.
  • How they talk about it: Among hermanos it’s half-joke, half-custom—“tacos de orko,” “’caldo de Insecto / Tyranid,” whatever the field kitchen can make edible. They swap stories and eat.

La Crucificaxion and the Sangria Rites[]

La Crucificaxion[]

Purpose and Oversight: La Crucificaxion is a grim, disciplined rite used by the Eternal Sons as a tool for judgment, intimidation, and execution, strictly overseen by Capellanes to ensure no cruelty for its own sake. Conducted far from civilian eyes and sacred sanctuaries, it targets only the undeniably guilty—foul xenos, heretics, or traitors—pinning both living foes and their corpses to X-shaped crosses of bone-white or black, useful to break enemy morale or extract actionable secrets. The brothers allow themselves a cynical smirk when the condemned’s guilt is beyond question, but discipline keeps excess in check.

Process[]
  • Judgment: After abducting and placing their foes in the X shaped cruxes, Brujos and Curanderos interrogate the condemned for intelligence, ensuring the rite serves a strategic purpose, such as protecting the living or securing a theater.
  • Sangrias or Bloodletting: Leveraging their omophagea organ, Brujos, Curanderos, or Capellanes bleed captives—alive or freshly dead—before combat, maximizing blood extraction to fuel tactical insights. This blood may also enhance and elevate the precognitive visions of Hermanos Profetas (Gitanos), but only under strict supervision, never during combat or alone, to prevent instability.
  • Crucifixion: The condemned are bound to the X-shaped cross, a stark symbol of punishment and warning, displayed at mustering grounds or breachheads to compel surrenders or halt reprisals. Capellanes audit every instance to ensure the rite aligns with the Chapter’s ethos.

Sangria Rites[]

Despite lacking the Black Rage and bearing only a faint echo of the Red Thirst meaning they dont constantly crave nor need the blood of the living, the Eternal Sons practice the Sangrias Rites, consuming enemy blood mixed with Either Wine, Tekila or Cielo Negro Ale both intoxicating to their Astartes Bodies, The concoction made from eitehr of these drinks along with blood is always called a Sangria as well, to aid in Pre and post-battle recovery. This ritual, conducted only before or after combat, uplifts body and mind, dulling the effects of El Dolor del Ángel’s blood-sweat frenzy and El Llanto del Ángel’s haunting prophecies, while reinforcing the Chapter’s bond through shared tradition. It’s a controlled act, never indulgent, reflecting their dual heritage of Sanguinius’ nobility.

  • Blood Preparation: Blood collected during La Crucificaxion, from living or dead foes, is ritually sanctified by Curanderos or Capellanes to ensure purity and purpose. It’s blended with Tekila or Cielo Negro Ale, beverages tied to Noche Eterna’s culture, to improve the enhancing taste.
  • Consumption: In communal rites befroe or after victory or in mourning, the Sons drink Sangrias to honor their debt to Sanguinius and their Fellow Brothers. The mixture provides a brief, disciplined rush that accelerates recovery from the physical and psychological toll of their twin curses, stabilizing Gitanos and soothing battle strain in all Brothers.
  • Restrictions: The rite is forbidden during combat to maintain focus and discipline. Capellanes and Curanderos enforce strict limits, ensuring the act remains a vow of dominion over enemies, not needless gluttony, with Profetas requiring Brujo or Curandero oversight to safely process visionary enhancements pre and post battles.

Penitente Tradition[]

  • Thorned Service: Failure by sin or blasphemy—not cowardice—is marked with crimson thorns by the Capellanes on top of their helms and sometimes on their gauntlets/not directly to their skin. The penance is long: fight, protect, atone in almost suicidal operations for 40 years. Confession halves the road; denial doubles it.
  • Steel, tempered: The thorn-path does not break the worthy; it burnishes them. Offices are earned by proof, not plea.
  • Caballero Eterno: Foremost among the Penitentes stands Gustavo de Gonzalo. Bearing the Crimson Halo after his penance, he later rose to Chapter Master. His life is a catechism in flesh: humility first, then honor.

Chapter Recuitment[]

The Eternal Sons seek warriors from every walk of life—farmers of northern steadings, laborers devoted to sacred rites , and wandering traders from the southern wastes—casting their net wide to find anyone, no matter their background, willing to fight the eternal dark by any means necessary. They look for the ordinary, the flawed, the determined—be it a humble serf, a scarred desert-dweller, or a wayward soul from the Imperium's fringes—ensuring the Innocent live in the Emperor’s light. Their call is not for heroes or slaves, but for those who heed the rallying cry: "“Someone must stand against the dark—not a hero, not a saint, but a soul willing to bleed!". This inclusive summons weaves a bulwark of will, devotion, and sacrifice to shield the Emperor’s flock from the galaxy’s horrors.

Every five years, the Eternal Sons summon volunteers aged 10-16 from all castes across Noche Eterna—. Families accompany aspirants to a grand festival filled with Wine, Tekila and Cielo Negro, with feasts at a lagoon-side city alternating each cycle—swelling the community with markets, pilgrim throngs, and economic boom, igniting morale with devotion to La Santa Trinidad. Aspirants vow freely to stand against the galaxy’s darkness and partake in dangerous often mortal trials.

  • Open Summons: Curanderos and Capellanes issue the Call at northern monasteries, central lagoon bridges with flickering holonovelas, and southern promethium-lit chapels: a vow, a warning, a door to transcendence. Only the willing pass beneath turquoise lamps, hearts steeled by the Emperor.
  • Vow at the Threshold: Amid festival cheers, aspirants and kin gather at the chosen lagoon-side villa or pueblo, where feasts of Tekila and Cielo Negro fuel joyous rites, boosting commerce and spirit. Kneeling before a bone reliquary etched with fallen brothers’ names, aspirants vow, “I come freely. I serve. I accept the cost,” sealing it with palm’s blood as families watch with pride and sorrow. Hesitation brings a blessing, meal, and safe return, without shame; the gate opens once.

The Nocturnal Crucible[]

A harrowing season of trials, The Nocturnal Crucible, tests body, mind, and soul across Noche Eterna’s shadowed perils—northern honor, central sanctity, southern guile. Led by Sergeants, Curanderos, Brujos, and Capellanes, these rites forge warriors through danger and devotion, rooted in the Chapter’s night-bound spirituality. Aspirants may withdraw at any stage with a blessing and a meal, never disgraced, but may never return. The Eternal Sons forge no slaves, only brothers who choose the eternal dark.

Stations of Flesh[]
  • Lunar Asceticism: In northern mountain cloisters beneath Noche Eterna’s black stone moon, aspirants endure three nights without sustenance, sipping only sanctified water from turquoise cisterns while chanting Litania Mortis. They wield ritual daggers, swords, lances and shields in silent duels amid howling winds, non-lethal but grueling, tempering endurance against the specter of death.
  • Lagoon’s Trial: In the central turquoise lagoons—vast expanses akin to small oceans, their depths roiling with treacherous currents and xenos-mimicking servo-drones—aspirants must traverse from the shore to the Fortaleza Inmortal at the lagoon’s heart within 5 days, by any means necessary, Important to remember that the Biggest lagoon is Ocean Sized. Cleverness is paramount: some navigate alone through submerged coral labyrinths in an attempt of endurance, using guile to evade drone patrols with improvised decoys; others form groups to craft rafts from scavenged detritus or commandeer small vessels, hiding in holds or beneath sails from Merchants to slip past while unseen. Failure risks drowning or grievous injury from razor-sharp reefs, forging not just strength, but cunning and resourcefulness in Noche Eterna’s sacred waters. Some aspirants, with audacious wit, band together to “borrow” or take Over merchant ships or boats —an act of guile that draws amused smirks from the Chapter’s Battle-Brothers, who see echoes of their own cunning in such plucky thievery. This trial helps the aspirants to interact with each otehr and the populace to achieve an objective.
  • Umbral Gauntlet: In southern promethium fields, aspirants train atop speeding, rustic promethium-fueled rail-engines, their platforms lurching through ash-choked wastes under Noche Eterna’s black stone moon. Wielding bolt pistols and máxetes, they battle mechanized effigies that spew sparks and gouts of flame, their erratic movements mimicking xenos foes in chaotic ambushes. Precision in shooting and evasion is critical, but the true test lies in adaptability—constantly shifting terrain, sudden vent eruptions, and unpredictable effigy assaults demand rapid footwork and split-second dodges. Killing aspirants is not the goal; the trial forges their ability to thrive in ever-changing, hostile environments, honing reflexes to dance through fire and shadow. One fall is caught by grav-nets, a lesson in resilience; a second banishes, marking those unfit for the Chapter’s shadow-warrior creed.
Stations of Will[]
  • At the Fortaleza Inmortal, aspirants confess sins and fears before a Capellán in a shadowed scriptorium. Evasion fails; honesty forges the soul, words sealed forever. The remaining aspirants, are put under a Battle-Brother like squires, They are put to study at the fortress: Sanguinius’ devotion, Imperium’s history, Arts in painting, dueling, sculpting, reading, the creed. High Gothic etiquette. They are taught that the entire galaxy is a dangerous place, that the Chapter constantly deals with Horrors beyond comprehension, the Eternal sons are surrounded by so much death that they take joy in living. They are taught the duality of being a Son.

Sangrias Initiation[]

Before facing the final crucible, In the Fortaleza Inmortal’s shadowed cloisters, aspirants undergo the Sangrias Initiation, a solemn full body bloodletting where they willingly offer their own blood into a communal chalice overseen by Curanderos and Capellanes. This rite symbolizes their commitment to the Chapter's dual heritage, blending personal sacrifice with the essence of endurance. The collected blood is ritually mixed with Tekila or Cielo Negro Ale and shared among the overseeing brothers, granting them fleeting insights into the aspirant's resolve through the omophagea organ while testing the candidate's fortitude against pain and vulnerability. Only those who give freely, without flinching, proceed—reinforcing that rebirth demands not just will, but the literal spilling of one's life force for the brotherhood.

"This blood sings of his past, his fears, his will, and future glories. I have seen this boy’s destiny—he will not only pass the trials, he will be extraordinary."
—The Chief Librarian Brujo also a Profeta, raises the chalice of mingled blood and Cielo Negro , his dark sclera eyes piercing the aspirant’s soul. He nods to the gathered Curanderos and Capellanes, his voice heavy with prophetic certainty, as the young aspirant stands unflinching, Arms and Torso still bleeding, amidst the shadowed cloisters of the Fortaleza del Ángel Caído. A Profeta’s vision of a future hero in the Sangrias Initiation.

The Blood of the Angel[]

After 1 day of recovery, aspirants receive the Blood of the Angel, sacred vitae from Curanderos’ veins, in chalices right before El Renacer, elevating body and mind for the crucible. Only the unflinching proceed, vowing total surrender.

The Mortal Trial — The Broken Cross — EL RENACER[]

Nature - Final, Brutal, Transforming[]

This is the last gate, and it is crucifixion. It hurts. It risks death. It is meant to break what must break and forge what must remain. Some will die. Those who live will never be who they were. This is not an ending; it is a RENACER—rebirth through blood , devotion and will.

The Passage of RENACER - (Self Crucifixation) X[]
  • Duration: Six hours, nails biting by the lagoons’ shores.
  • Anchor: A psalm or kin’s name defies pain.
  • Witness: Steadying a faltering brother weighs in judgment.
  • Descent: Chants and incense veil the sixth hour; bindings release, a Capellán embraces the fallen, naming him “brother” twice. Cloaked, he walks into his new life.
What Breaks and What Remains[]
  • What Breaks: Pride, bravado, cowardice.
  • What Remains: A will enduring infernos, a hand bearing pain, a mind choosing the living—echoes of the Angel’s grace.
Indoctrination and Early Service[]
  • Hypno‑Doctrine with a Human Hand: Indoctrination is guided, not hammered—Brujos pace mantras to avoid breaking what must bend. Capellanes test for conscience under stress.
  • Gitano Screening: Signs of the Llanto are handled with care—dream logs, paired mentorship, calming rites. No one is exploited for visions.
  • Shadow Years: Neophytes serve in four‑brother cells under a veteran: nocturnal ingress, void‑silence, civilian extraction. They accompany Curandero envoys on gene‑seed exchanges, learning diplomacy as duty from other fellow astartes chapters.

Chapter Gene-Seed[]

Genetic Flaws[]

The Twin Burdens of Grace: El Dolor and El Llanto / Remnants of the Black Rage[]

The Eternal Sons regard their peculiar states as both burden and benediction, shaping doctrine, drill, and devotion alike. While the Black Rage is largely dormant—it is not entirely gone. In rare and catastrophic cases, when a brother experiences both El Dolor del Ángel and El Llanto del Ángel simultaneously, manifesting as sweating blood and crying blood tears at once, their fate is sealed. Regardless of who the brother is—veteran, neophyte, or even a Profeta—they are dead men, their body and mind shattered beyond recovery. This lethal convergence triggers a final echo of the Black Rage, where the afflicted utters the word "HORUS," signaling their doom. In their brief remaining moments, they become formidable warriors, with heightened reflexes and (for Profetas) amplified visions, yet they can still distinguish their brothers and are barely aware of their actions, driven by a fading sliver of consciousness before succumbing to inevitable death. This is why the Eternal Sons maintain no Death Company, as such escalations are swift and terminal. To prevent this, Brujos safeguard the soul, Capellanes fortify the mind, and Curanderos tend to the body, working collaboratively to monitor and mitigate the curses' progression.

El Dolor del Ángel (The Angel’s Pain)[]

A searing exaltation that rakes the body from within—blood-sweat, bared fangs, a surge of terrible vigor like being set alight by one’s own heart. It is grace when it arrives at the hour of need; it is curse for the pain and the calm it steals.

  • Prevalence: The great majority of Hermanos manifest El Dolor and do not receive prophetic visions.
  • Fangs: During episodes of El Dolor, the fangs lengthen and harden, a physiological surge that recedes after the fervor fades.

El Llanto del Ángel (The Angel’s Cry)[]

Visions that fall like iron rain—blood-tears, half-spoken prophecy, dreams that leave the seer trembling. To those so marked, it is a chalice both sweet and poisoned: insight that saves comrades yet exacts a toll both in body and in mind.

  • Prevalence: Roughly 5 in 100 Hermanos bear El Llanto; in return, they are not afflicted by the Angel’s Pain.
  • Fangs: In states of vision or aftermath, their fangs likewise grow—less violently than with El Dolor, but unmistakably, a sign the brethren treat with reverence and caution.

Consumption of Blood[]

  • While the Black Rage is Dormant the core of the Red Thirst remains—a silent, useful tool. The Eternal Sons do not crave the blood of the living, but they have learned to use it. When taken from crucified foes, they mix it with either Tekila or the ale of Cielo Negro. This grim communion, performed only before a battle to gain insight or after a victory to recover, provides an uplifting rush in body and mind that helps mitigate their twin curses. This sacrament of survival, earned through endurance, is a grim grace that sharpens their minds and fortifies their bodies for the grim duty ahead. (NEVER TO BE DONE DURING COMBAT OR OUTSIDE OF RITUAL CONTEXT).

Combat Doctrine[]

The Art of Cruelty - A Calculated Tool[]

The rite of Lethal Crucifixión is central to their strategy of breaking an enemy's will. Their taken foes (usually extracted from their bases by small -silent teams of 3) are crucified on X-shaped cruxes as a stark warning. This tool is a calculated measure of discipline, strictly overseen by Capellanes or Brujos (if not available the highest ranking Hermano will suffice) and never enacted near sanctuaries or civilians. It is useless against Necrons, who are soulless machines, and Tyranids, who are beasts with no fear.

However, its psychological impact is exceptionally effective against other foes. It is highly potent against Heretics, Chaos Space Marines, and the T'au, and especially against the Aeldari, specifically the Drukhari, who find the public display of agony and powerlessness abhorrent. The Orks, with their crude sense of humor, often find the practice amusing, requiring the Sons to shift to more direct tactics. This practice is Done Before and After battle.

Blood Sacrament - Source of Intelligence[]

Even when their methods of intimidation fail, the Sons find a way to make their enemy's defeat serve a purpose. Though orks and tyranids might not be affected by the psychological impact of crucifixion, they still bleed. With the help of their Omophagea organ, the Sons can conduct a bloodletting ritual on captured foes, collecting their blood to gain valuable intelligence. This practice allows their Hermanos Profetas (Gitanos), who are blessed with precognition, to consume the blood and sharpen their visions of the impending battle.

This grim sacrament, along with their unique consumption of blood mixed with Tekila or Cielo Negro Ale (both intoxicating) before and after combat, showcases their tactical pragmatism. The Eternal Sons don't fight for glory; they fight with cold calculation, using every resource available—including their foes' very essence—to ensure that they stand as a shield between the night and the nursery.

"Your heresy ends here, Traidor—your blood will scream your secrets as we drain it drop by drop, feeding our visions of your wretched plans; your body will hang twisted on this crux, nails piercing your flesh, muscles tearing under your own weight, exposed to the merciless winds and scavenging beasts until your screams fade to ragged gasps; and when death finally claims you, your corpse will rot here as a festering warning, bones bleaching under the sun, a monument to the fate of all who defy the Imperium."
—The Eternal Sons’ Curandero, his turquoise-lit eyes blazing with cold fury, oversees the heretic leader’s crucifixion on an X-shaped crux, raised in a desolate ravine far from civilian eyes. He drains the traitor’s blood into a chalice of Cielo Negro Ale, his omophagea gleaning visions of enemy plans as the heretic’s screams echo. A grim judgment delivered by the Sons to shatter the will of the Imperium’s foes.

Silent Hunters[]

In the chaos of battle, the Eternal Sons fight with deadly precision, using teams that move like swift shadows across any battlefield supported by the Chapter widely used Mark X Phobos pattern Armor. These elite warriors strike with incredible speed and agility, enhanced by special equipment like jump packs or grav-shutters, allowing them to glide or leap into combat silently. Their tactics include surprise aerial attacks, stealthy ambushes, teleportation strikes with heavy-armored Terminators, and clever fake retreats to lure enemies into traps. Drawing from their Blood Angels heritage, they combine speed, stealth, and psychological terror to outmaneuver foes. Using intelligence gained from their ritual Sangrias, they target key enemies to slay them to break the enemy’s spirit, leaving fear and chaos in their wake, no matter the warzone. Absolver Bolt Pistols are the common preferred Side Arms

Recovery and Diplomacy[]

  • The Eternal Sons hold a sacred duty to recover both gene-seed and wargear from their fallen cousin Astartes whenever possible, honoring the legacy of their kin. In the aftermath of battle, they meticulously retrieve the gene-seed of the fallen alongside revered equipment—helms, bolters, swords, and other relics of significance. Yet, when the crucible of combat grows too fierce or time presses against them, the Sons prioritize the gene-seed above all, securing it alongside only the most vital relics ensuring the Chapter’s lineage endures even in the face of chaos. On rare occasions, their vigilance extends beyond the Astartes, as they recover and return significant relics—such as revered standards, sanctified weapons, or personal effects—from other Imperial forces like the Imperial Guard or Adepta Sororitas, ensuring these sacred items are restored to their rightful bearers.
  • Curanderos as bridge-makers: The Chapter’s Apothecaries—known as Curanderos—extend their role beyond the battlefield, acting as vital links between Chapters. Carrying gene-seed ledgers, oaths of return, and their deep medicae knowledge, they engage in quiet diplomacy with fellow Astartes, Forge Worlds, and void-yards. Through these exchanges, they ease tensions, share biolore, and uphold sacred rites of sanctification, weaving bonds of trust across the Imperium’s fractured domains.
  • Neophytes on circuit: The Curanderos often bring neophytes on these diplomatic circuits, exposing them to the Imperium’s vast machinery—governors’ courts, Mechanicus forges, and Chapter reliquaries. Through these journeys, young initiates learn the customs, logistics, and courtesies that govern inter-Chapter relations.

Deathwatch Service[]

Across their history, many Eternal Sons have answered the black summons of the Long Vigil. Some went for absolution, some for a clean death, some because politics stained what their deeds did not. In the Deathwatch, their names are spoken in a low register—an ashen canticle of those who fight where the galaxy rots.

  • Watch-Bound: Veterans rotate through the Watch, returning with new stratagems for xenos unmaking and with eyes that do not close easily.
  • MataXenos’ Measure: Sebastián “MataXenos” del Ángel served eighty years beneath the Inquisitorial sigil, his ledger of slayings a grim yet inspiring example to the rest of the chapter.

Notable Eternal Sons[]

  • Chapter Master Gustavo "Caballero Eterno" de Gonzalo: Former Penitente and Captain; bearer of the Crimson Halo; is a leader forged by penance, not perfection. As a former Penitente, he is living proof that a solemn oath and an eternal will can transform failure into strength. He earned his rank by enduring his long atonement, and now he is an exemplar of "mercy bound to eternity." His life is a stark testament to his duty, shown in his willingness to defy even fellow Space Marines—like the Minotaurs—to protect the helpless. Gustavo leads not by flawless example, but by the profound humility and hard-won honor of a man who has walked the path of redemption. His Artificer Armour is a masterpiece of matte black and bone-white ceramite, accented with turquoise sigils, and customized with a shoulder cape and poncho reflecting Noche Eterna's rugged style. He wields a Bolt Revolver and a Power Máxete, tools of precision and tradition. Adorning his helm is a Death Mask streaked with blood-tears, paired with a red crown of thorns, symbolizing his penitential journey.
  • Caballero Sebastián "MataXenos" del Ángel: Captain and Profeta of the 1st Company; eighty years Deathwatch; successor-designate should Master and Chief Capellán fall. He was honored to wear the Crown of Thorns and as a Captain he too holds the title and rank of Caballero, granting him the right to wear a Crimson Iron Halo.
  • Jefe Brujo Lucifer: Chief Brujo and Profeta; crimson, ever-bleeding wings that he manifests with his Pysker abilities; clarity bought with instability, Only Brujo to have his psychic Wings be in Crimson bleeding red and to have red irises on his eyes.
  • Danny "Máxete" Trejo: 1st Company Sergeant; unmatched dual-máxete duelist.
  • Guillermo "Sexto" de Hierro (Deceased): Former Chief Mecánico; renowned for his six-armed suit with serpentine mech-limbs, a marvel of baroque engineering. He fell during the Devastation of Baal in 999.M41, fighting with relentless ingenuity to sever Tyranid synapse links amidst the blood-soaked dunes. His sacrifice, alongside countless brothers, ensured the survival of Baal, leaving a void in the Chapter’s forges and a legacy of unyielding duty.
  • Diego Khalo - "Confesor" Chief Capellán; repeats self Crucificacion ordeal every twenty years to test will; next in line after the Chapter Master.
  • Alonso "Soñador" de Quixote: Gitano of the 9th; dreams alone bring true visions—marked by blood-streaks upon waking.
  • Alejandro " Zorro" de Vega (Deceased): Former 7th Company Captain; notorious "rescuer" of abandoned Imperial materiel, known for his charm and persuasive way with a certain Hermana. He perished during the Devastation of Baal in 999.M41, standing firm against the Tyranid swarm to protect his brothers. His death, alongside the loss of half the Chapter, marked a somber chapter in the Eternal Sons’ saga, yet his resourcefulness lives on in their salvager traditions.

Chapter Wargear[]

Unique Wargear[]

The Eternal Sons, forged in Noche Eterna’s eternal twilight, wield a sacred arsenal tailored for shadow warfare. Housed in the Fortaleza Inmortal’s Armory of the Reclaimed, their wargear reflects their Blood Angels heritage and unyielding duty to protect the innocent. Power máxetes, chainswords, absolver bolt pistols, plasma pistols, and Phobos armor define their craft, alongside the revered relic sword Nostra Culpa, a symbol of penitence and sacrifice.

Power Armor: The Chapter favors Mark X Phobos armor, matte black with bone-white right arm and faceplate, accented by turquoise sigils. Equipped with grav-chutes or jump packs, these suits enable silent glides or rapid strikes for Silent Hunters. Sanguinary Guard armor mirrors the Chapter Master’s artificer armor but is almost entirely bone-white with sotek green details and crimson red elements, symbolizing their elite status. Captains and some Lieutenants may adorn select armor segments—such as a leg, arm, or half the suit—with intricate bone-white plating or muscle-patterned engravings, evoking Noche Eterna’s stark beauty and the Chapter’s penitential ethos. Many Brothers often wear poncho-like capes or knightly robes, etched with blood-tear crescents.

Weapons:

  • Chain Maxete

  • Plasma Pistols: Turquoise-etched, wielded by Caballeros for searing, high-value target elimination.
  • Inferno Pistols: Powerful and devastating, only lieutenants and captains have access to them due to their low numbers.

Relic:

Power Máxetes: Broad-bladed power weapons , perfect for close-quarters ambushes.

Nostra Culpa: A long yet slender greatsword, silver-like power sword with crimson red thorn elements in its grip and lower blade, once wielded by the Chapter’s founder and now borne by Chapter Master Gustavo "Caballero Eterno" de Gonzalo. Its disruptor field cleaves ceramite, its crescent sun pommel weeping blood-tears. Used to behead a Night Lords champion in the Charadon Incursion (999.M41), it embodies the Chapter’s creed of redemption.

sanguine collisionary terminator : A specialized terminator suit given to the sons by their fellow Sanguinary Kin , The Angels of Slaughter, after a successful collaborative mission. A highly respected and venerated relic in the chapter.

Blood Angels
BA Armorial Updated
As progenitors, the Blood Angels are revered by the Eternal Sons for their noble sacrifice and radiant grace, embodying Sanguinius’ angelic ideal. The Ashen Choir of Kharax-Θ (M35) saw the Sons’ precision strikes and shadow-warfare complement Baal’s relentless frontline fury, forging a bond of blood and deed against a Necron tomb-world’s awakening, cementing mutual respect. This kinship reached its zenith during the Devastation of Baal (999.M41), when the Sons, without hesitation, dispatched four companies to defend their progenitor’s homeworld from Hive Fleet Leviathan’s onslaught. Though only a scant two dozen brothers survived the apocalyptic carnage, their nocturnal ambushes disrupted Tyranid synapse creatures, preserving key strongholds. The Blood Angels’ gratitude, coupled with Guilliman’s Primaris reinforcements granted post-battle with a Torch Bearing Fleet on Noche Eterna, deepened their unbreakable loyalty, ensuring the Sons’ eternal devotion to their shared Sanguinary heritage.

Both Chapters, born of the Third Founding in 001.M32, revere their Primarch’s noble sacrifice, uniting the Sons’ shadowed vigilance on Noche Eterna in the Charadon Sector with the Angels’ storm-forged zeal on Solstice, a harsh death world in the Solstice Sub-Sector of Segmentum Obscurus. Their alliance was cemented during the Devastation of Baal (999.M41), where the Eternal Sons sent four companies and the Angels Carmine deployed nearly their entire Chapter to defend Baal against Hive Fleet Leviathan. The Sons’ Execution strikes and the Angels’ thunderous orbital assaults held vital strongholds, though at a grievous cost—only two dozen Sons and 65% of the Angels Carmine survived the apocalyptic carnage. In the aftermath, the Chapters sealed their bond with solemn blood-oaths in Baal’s ruined halls, vowing eternal unity against the Imperium’s foes. Their shared rites, blending Sangrias with Solstice’s lightning-lit prayers under turquoise and crimson banners, embody a kinship that endures through sacrifice, standing as twin pillars of Sanguinius’ legacy across their distant sectors.
Lamenters
Lamenters Armorial Updated
Bound by shared afflictions of the Flaw and a history of defending the imperiled, the Sons and Lamenters solidified kinship during the Tears over Juran’s Belt (Late M41), shielding each other’s flanks against Chaos and Minotaur interference. Their empathy endures despite the Imperium’s judgment.
Space Wolves
Space Wolves Armorial
The Space Wolves’ fierce independence and disdain for bureaucracy resonate with the Sons. During the Juran standoff, Fenrisian approval of the Sons’ defiance of Minotaur orders sparked informal pacts, blending Fenrisian feral insight with the Sons’ disciplined vigilance. The Sons of the Angel enjoy Fenrisian Ale
Angels of Slaughter
Angels Slaughter Armorial
In mid-M38, the Eternal Sons, guided by El Llanto del Ángel visions, uncovered a Slaanesh cult, the Veiled Ecstasy, on Schindelgeist in Segmentum Ultima. Using abduction and Lethal Crucifixión, they extracted plans for a daemonic incursion via sangrias rites, alerting the Angels of Slaughter—marking the first meeting of these two Sanguinius successor chapters. The Sons’ shadowed precision strikes complemented the Angels’ ferocious drop pod assaults and shock charges with flamers and meltaguns, crushing the heretics. Despite their differing methods—the Sons’ calculated vigilance contrasting the Angels’ unrestrained fury—both Chapters share a deep mutual respect, bound by the unyielding blood of their Primarch, Sanguinius. This kinship, forged in battle, was sealed when the Angels gifted the Sons a "Sanguine Collisionary" Terminator Armour suit, symbolizing their strong blood bond as brothers of the angelic Primarch, united against the Imperium’s foes.
Rain Raiders
Rain Raiders Pauldron
The Eternal Sons and Rain Raiders stand as steadfast allies, their bond forged in Khar Vex’s crucible despite distinct primarchs. The Sons, Third Founding heirs of Sanguinius, embody Noche Eterna’s shadowed Crucifixión and Sangrias, driven by redemption’s creed. The Rain Raiders, Ultima Founding sons of Jaghatai Khan, wield storm-swift fury. Their alliance, cemented in 012.M42 against Ork hordes, saw Captain T'saran’s Raiders and the Sons’ Ghost Riders unite, his chain-axe swapped for a turquoise-etched maxete sealing their pact. Today, their blood-oaths blend Sangrias with storm-vows under turquoise and crimson banners, their mutual respect—Sons’ grim precision, Raiders’ relentless speed—binding Sanguinius’ shadow to Jaghatai’s storm against the Imperium’s foes.

Notes
Red Scorpions
Red Scorpions Armorial
Cold disdain stems from the Red Scorpions killing a Curandero and neophyte returning their gene-seed, deemed “impure interlopers.” The Sons view their dogmatic zeal as a threat to Imperial unity, withholding aid and scorning their obsession with purity.
Minotaurs
Minotaurs Armorial
The Minotaurs’ mercenary obedience to the High Lords earns contempt as lapdogs to political vendettas. The Sons’ defiance during the Juran evacuation, barring Minotaur “reprioritization” at gunpoint, cemented mutual wariness that simmers in shared theaters.
Iron Hands
Iron Hands Armorial
No direct clashes, but the Sons revile the Iron Hands’ cybernetic augmentations and dreadnought veneration as mechanical abominations eroding Sanguinius’ humanity. Their “weakness of flesh” philosophy is seen as perverse, leading to avoided collaborations.
Marines Malevolent
Marines Malevolent Armorial Updated
Reviled as callous scavengers after the Sons intervened in M41, stopping the Malevolents’ slaughter of surrendered civilians. A skirmish ensued as the Sons shielded survivors, branding the Malevolents honorless; the Sons refuse joint operations, deeming them a moral liability.
Flesh Tearers
Flesh Tearers Updated Armorial
Distrust festers due to the Flesh Tearers’ unchecked indulgence in the Red Thirst, which the Eternal Sons view as a desecration of Sanguinius’ legacy. The Sons’ disciplined restraint and the Tearers’ savage abandon clash philosophically, leading to mutual avoidance. Only their shared angelic blood prevents open conflict, though relations remain cold and distant.

Enemies[]

Notes
Night Lords
NightLords
No quarter is given to the Night Lords, whose terror tactics mock the Sons’ disciplined intimidation. Their heraldry triggers El Dolor surges, turning encounters into blood oaths of extermination, with no parlance or prisoners allowed, NEVER.
Emperor's Children
Emp's Children Post-Heresy SP
Spiritually abhorrent for their decadent perversions of discipline and art, the Emperor’s Children are purged methodically by the Sons, who view their excesses as blasphemy against Sanguinius’ grace, prosecuting them with cleansing zeal.
Iron Warriors
IW Armorial 1
Despised for their callous reduction of life to calculus. The Sons find their siege‑cruelties and mechanistic disdain for the living obscene, and answer iron with midnight and fire.

Postscript-Eternal Duty[]

They joke, they curse, they carve turquoise lines across matte black plate, and they keep promises. The Eternal Sons fight for people first, for their Chapter second, and for the Imperium—despite itself—last. Under a pale crescent sun that smiles and weeps, they march. From will, devotion. From devotion, bravery. From bravery, sacrifice. And from sacrifice—their chosen end. Their truth. Their purpose. Their eternal duty.
