A non-Codex-compliant and supposedly 5th Founding Salamanders Successor Chapter, the Drakken Marauders are a brutal Space Marine chapter who revel in the brutality of heat and flame. Taking the combat doctrine of their Salamanders father Chapter to the extreme, the Drakken Marauders utilize specialized strike forces to deal with enemies of the Imperium, using a variety of specialized doctrines made to combat a variety of enemies.
Chapter History
Founding
The founding of the Drakken Marauders is heavily disputed by many Imperial officials. Some state they are a recent chapter due to their heavily recent activity across Imperial space, others say they are an ancient chapter of one of the earlier Chapter founding. Despite these great debates, what is known is that the Drakken Marauders are a brutal chapter born of a purpose. The purpose of protection. A chapter of Drakken Blood is [W.I.P]

Companies
Due to the Chapter's divergent nature, companies are not to be split into 4 Battle Companies, 4 Reserves, a Veteran, and Scout Company. Instead, the chapter is split into a Battleline, Fire Support, and Close Support. Their distinctions are split by their right arm colored to the specific company the members are placed into. Command is done, not through a Company Captain that orders his company, but by an established Force Commander who leads elements of the three Companies, depending on their mission parameters.

Chapter Beliefs
Their volatile nature has lead to them believing in a more volatile variation of the Promethean Cult. Members of the chapter would engage in suicidal assaults if it meant that they were to even injure a member of the Unnamed. Their self-reliance has been to the zealous extreme, that several squads of the chapter have refused help from other Imperial forces, whether they be Guardsman regiments, fellow Space Marine chapters, and even the Salamanders themselves. Self-improvement to them meant that if anything, their flesh was made weak. Just like the Iron Hands, the chapter have a surprising amount of Astartes who have underwent bionic surgery. Some in smaller amounts, like arms or legs being further enhanced by bionics. But several members of the chapter took this zealous and venomous take on self-improvement to the extreme, with multiple limbs being replaced with bionics!
By the time of the introduction of the Primaris Space Marine reinforcements, the Chapter's ranks, the firstborn officers were very cold and uncaring towards the Greyshields. Seeing them as unworthy members of blood, the newly indicted Greyshield Primaris reinforcements were ordered to retain their grey, unpainted heraldry, leaving the Chapter's squad and rank markings denoted upon their war-plate. Until these new members of the Chapter are to become true, worthy members, worthy of the livery of the Drakken Marauders, they are to undergo multiple trials. Some involve the nostalgic trials aspirants were to take up, like sparring duels and hunting wild beasts.
