The Bulls of the Emperor are an ancient and steadfast Loyalist Space Marine Chapter, created during the Eighth Founding in the mid 34th Mellennium. Born from the proud lineage of the White Paladins, this Chapter embodies the indomitable spirit of their gene-sire, Primarch Roboute Guilliman, while distinguishing themselves through their fierce and uncompromising methods of warfare.
In response to this unprecedented rebellion, Guilliman introduced his magnum opus - the Codex Astartes - a comprehensive document outlining the new structure and operation of the Imperium's government and military forces. Central to the Codex was the reformation of the Legiones Astartes, breaking them down into smaller, more manageable Chapters, each comprised of only 1,000 Astartes.
While this change was initially met with resistance from some of Guilliman's brother Primarchs, who had grown accustomed to the vast power of their Legions, Guilliman's wisdom and strategic foresight ultimately won the day. The reforms ensured that no single individual or Legion would ever again possess the overwhelming might to threaten the stability of the Imperium as Horus had. As the Ultramarines were considered the epitome of what the Space Marines could be, and due to their genetic purity, they were broken down into a multitude of smaller Chapters.
Known as one of the least compromising of the Primogenitor Chapters, and brooking no deviation from the tenets laid down in the sacred Codex Astartes by their gene-sire, the members of this Chapter, whose history is rich in battles won, are stern and uncompromising, with a history of xenophobia and unusually brutal combat tactics for an Ultramarines Successor Chapter.
Chapter History
The Bulls of the Emperor are an ancient Sucessor Chapter of the White Paladins that was created during the ancient Eighth Founding during the 34th Millennium and is comprised mostly of Firstborn Space Marines due to their lack of willingness to cross the Rubicon Primaris and become Primaris Space Marines. Styled after the old Ultramarines Legion that existed during the Great Crusade and the Horus Heresy, the Bulls of the Emperor, have also inherited the old tenets of Guilliman during their creation. Due to this, they are noted to have made a no organizational deviations from the Codex Astartes.
The Bulls of the Emperor have always stood as paragons of discipline and orthodoxy. From their very inception, they were recognized as some of the most rigid followers of the Codex Astartes. While some other Chapters allowed for slight deviations or adaptations based on unique circumstances or environments, the Bulls remained utterly devoted to Guilliman's vision. In their eyes, any deviation from the sacred teachings of their gene-sire was not just an error, but a betrayal of the Emperor's legacy.
