"Humanity's future lies with Chaos, not the Imperium."
— Noros Xerophus, Lord of the Future

The Bringers of Heresy are a notorious Chaos Space Marine Warband whom are made up of formerly loyalist Space Marines of the Angels Imperatus Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes that were corrupted by the insidious influence of Chaos in late M38.

Warband History[]

The Battle of Argonox[]

The Warband was once known as the Angels Imperatus. They converted to Chaos in 999.M38. In that time the current Chapter Master Noros Xerophus, led his sons down the path of enlightenment, sending away his loyal sons and slaughtering the planet's loyal populace. The war with the loyalists culminated at the Battle of Argonox, where the chapter fought a titanic battle with each other. In the battle's final moments, the captain of the 1st Company, Ioden Grelloth, sliced Noros in half before knocking him into the planet's core. It was only later once the battle was over, that Noros was returned to the surface.

The Ascension of Noros Xerophus[]

Moments before Noros would've died, Tzeentch blessed him with the greatest honour, Daemonhood. He was given the rank of Daemon Prince of Tzeentch, and handed Q'o'ak the Boundless, a blade able to cut through even the strongest of energy fields. He then led his sons further into warp and settled on the daemon world known as Zo'roth.

Warband Home World[]

Zo'roth, or currently known as Urizen, is a daemon world hidden deep within the void tides of the Nether Coil. It was once a thriving hive world, that is before it was sucked into the warp storm. The planet was also used for mining a Pre-Unification war material, something known as copper. When Noros arrived he begun the construction of a great citadel him and his sons, he used the remains of the hive city Kellor'th, as a place to keep his mortal followers.

Warband Recruitment[]

The warband recruits from the cultists of the planet's hive cities, bringing those most powerful and worthy to the citadel and having them fight with each other for the role.

Warband Combat Doctrine[]

Warband Beliefs[]

The Warband believe in the idea that Chaos can reform humanity. In their eyes, they could reform humanity from the Imperium's ashes, and show humanity the light of Chaos and the benefits that it could bring. Despite being heretics, Noros still contains some humanitarianism, being unwilling to slaughter needlessly unless totally required. He has been known to bring back those who were loyal to him and giving them a life they so desperately need, showing them the benefits of Chaos.
