The Blessed Reavers are a loyalist successor Chapter hailing from the noble lineage of the Blood Angels, created during the 25th Founding, the so-called 'Bastion Founding', which occurred during the latter half of the 40th Millennium. Their homeworld Raiden-2 is a death world.

Blessed Reavers often use drop pods before a major attack so they can weaken the defenses of the enemy.

Chapter History[]

The Blessed Reavers have been formed during the 25th 'Bastion Founding' which occurred during the latter half of the 40th Millennium. They were created mainly to fight Orks whose activity near that region increased in that time. The Orks were their main enemy untill around 100 years later when T'au attacked in an incredible force.

The Beginning:

The Blessed Reavers had around 680 marines at the beginning. 100 in the 1st and 4th company, 90 in the 2nd and 3rd company, 80 in the 5th, 40 in the 6th, 60 in the 7th, 70 in the 8th, 20 in the 9th and 30 marines in the 10th company.

Orks were a problem in that area but they stood no chance for the Blessed Reavers for now. The 1st battle of the chapter ended in more or less 4 hours as a victory.

Notable Campaigns[]

  • War of Revenge (Unknown Date.M40): The War of Revenge happened around 100 years after the creation of the chapter when T'au forces were shredding Astra Militarum forces to pieces around the world of Raiden-2. The Blessed Reavers knew that they wanted to enact revenge on Ta'u and they came up with an idea for almost the entire war: 'The enemy won't expect you to use their own tactics'. The plan looked excellent on paper but it didn't work. The war was eventually lost with minor casualties. A great Astra Militarum army ended the rampage of the T'au in this place.
  • The Crusade of Blood (875.M40): The Crusade of Blood was a crusade that happened because, the Blessed Reavers had more than 1.000 marines. During the crusade The Blessed Reavers had liberated many worlds from the forces of Chaos but on one of them the crusade was stopped. The forces of Chaos were unpredictably prepared with lots of fortifications and their Chaos Space Marines, using very efficient tactics they won, but only on this planet.
  • Siege of Raiden-2 (792.M40): Siege of Raiden-2 happened because, an Ork fleet had apperead near the planet but, no one has reported an Ork fleet in the system before. The battle in space was lost pretty quickly because, the Ork fleet was 3 times bigger and much stronger than the Blessed Reavers fleet. After many battles and casualties the Orks were almost in the Fortress-Monastery. Many regiments of Astra Militarum were stationed near the fortress. Varaes Tychos has slain the Warboss already. The rest of orks were killed inside the Fortress-Monastery. The Siege took 4 companies and 3 of the chapter's 9 dreadnoughts.
  • Battle of Draconis 84(039.M41): The Adeptus Mechanicus found a couple artifacts on the planet of Draconis 84 and asked the Blessed Reavers for assistance in taking them back. When the chapter's forces arrived they were met by an Ork ambush, the Orks got killed quickly. Then the first major firefight occured when an Ork Morkanaut was suppresing Imperial forces pretty hard while the other Orks were killing, Argastor Jorah didn't listen to any orders while charging at the Morkanaut he succesfully destroyed the machine, sustaining major wounds which led him to be one of the dreadnoughts. After the Imperial foces arrived at the location of the artifacts there was a big battle between Ork and Chaos forces. The battle was very long. It ended a couple hours after the arrival of Knight reiforcements. The fight was victorius for the Imperial forces which took the artifacts.

Chapter Home World[]

The homeworld of the Blessed Reavers is called Raiden-2 which is located in the vicinity of Sable and Baal in the Segmentum Ultima. Raiden-2 is a death world that is a desert with lots of hills and sand so the chapter needs to defend itself against the native to the planet's aggressive animals. Blessed Reavers use the fact that there are many dangerous animals here, to train their new Space Marines .The chapter chose this planet because there was no other planet that the chapter would like. There are ruins of an unknown alien civilisation that died before the chapter found the planet which gave the planet at least a small amount of urban environment.

He rarely fights because the chapter doesn't get into a larger war/battle often. Varaes Tychos is friends with Algor Kaedo, (Chapter Master of the Space Drakes) after fighting many battles together and Varaes giving him a very rare Kratos Heavy tank from the Great Crusade. Varaes fought one Ork army with 2 companies alongside him during the battle. He dueled the warboss but sustained minor injuries. Ignoring his injuries, Tychos continued to bravely fight on until he was able to slay the massive Ork commander. With the warboss's death, the Orks' morale was broken, and the battle was won by the Chapter.
