The Blades of Inwit are a Loyalist Successor Chapter created from the lineage of the Stubborn Imperial Fists. They were created during the 25th Founding, the so-called 'Bastion Founding', with the gene-seed of the Imperial Fists.
Much like the numerous other chapters that were created during this founding that occurred, not much is known about their past whether or not this was due to their records being lost or potentially redacted by the Inquisition to keep the chapter a secret, only time will tell.
Chapter History:
Created during the 25th "Bastion" Founding during the 40th Millennium, not much was known about their past or their history, as most of their records have been deliberately expunged by an outside group.
Despite their mysteriousness, they have been known for being extremely faithful to the Imperium much like their Progenitors and their Cousins, the Black Templars.
Era Indomitus:
After serving the Imperium for countless millenia, they were visited during the Indomitus Crusade by the resurrected and returned Ultramarines Primarch Roboute Guilliman.
However, due to them being descended from the Imperial Fists, a Legion that was known for their stubbornness, when the chapter inherited their Primaris reinforcements they were extremely cautious as some of these Primaris were inexperienced.
After those feelings subsided and some of the Firstborn marines fought alongside their Primaris brethren, the majority of the Firstborn battle-brothers underwent the Rubicon and while some of the chapter successfully became primaris marines that included their chapter master, a small minority of those Firstborn marines died during the procedure.
Notable Campaigns:
Victories:
- Siege of Proxima Ignis (853.M41) - The chapter launched an assault on the highly grueling fortress world of Proxima Ignis, held by a chaotic warband. After a grueling seven-month campaign of nonstop attrition and siege-warfare, the chapter managed to breach the enemies defenses and executed their leaders, effectively leading to the warbands collapse and retreat.
- Cleansing of Helios IV (904.M41) - The planet of Helios IV was being overran by an Ork WAAGH! that threatened nearby star systems. The Chapter conducted lightning strikes in order to eliminate Ork leadership and disrupt Ork Supply lines. This battle saw the scattering of the Orks and secured the system for the Imperium
- Reconquest of Zaidon IV (955.M41) - Zaidon IV was a planet that fell to a Chaos Uprising that was led by a renegade warband led by a Chaos Sorcerer. The Chapter spearheaded the Imperial Counterattack and employed precise strikes in order to reclaim key cities and infrastructure. With the cult's stronghold surrounded, the chapter executed a daring assault that culminated in the sorcerers death and the restoration of order, not before the chapter decided to purge the planet of chaotic taint.
Defeats:
- Defense of Aegis Station (Unknown Date.M42) - Aegis Station was a critical astropathic relay that came under assault by a surprise attack by a Splinter Fleet of Tyranids. Despite the Chapter sending in a company of Marines in order to stop the foul xenos onslaught, the station fell due to overwhelming numbers but the company managed to send crucial data to nearby Imperial Fleets that aided in subsequent defense efforts while scuttling the Station to avoid it being captured by enemy hands.
Chapter Homeworld:
As the Chapter is fleet-Based like their Imperial Fists Progenitors, there isn't a homeworld that the Chapter has chosen.
Fortress Monastery:
The Chapter's mobile fortress-monastery is a Battle-Barge named the Indomitus Fortis. Similar to the Phalanx, the fortress-monastery is heavily armored with numerous cannons and other defenses on it's outside while incorporating architecture similar to that of Ancient Terra.

The Imperial Fists and the Iron Warriors have been known for their bitter and deep-seated rivalry as it stemmed from ancient grudges and conflicts from the Horus Heresy. | Chaos Space Marines | The Blades of Inwit are sworn enemies of numerous Chaos Space Marines as well as Renegade Chapters. These foul adversaries seek to test the mental fortitude and the resolve of this chapter in battles tainted by the Warp. | |
| Tyranids | |
The ever-encroaching and seemingly limitless hunger of the Tyranid pest is a significant danger of the Imperium.
The Chapter has made it their top priority in the Extermination of these foul beasts across the Galaxy. |
