The Azure Ravens are a Loyalist Successor Chapter of the Ultramarines, created during the 25th Founding, the so-called 'Bastion Founding'. This Chapter was one of several created to help stand as a bulwark against the rising tide of Chaos which was steadily gaining momentum, the voracious Tyranids, and various xenos that would have never dared defy the Imperium before and brazenly striking out against the Imperium. As inheritors of Guilliman, the Azure Ravens were once deemed for great things, however, fate and circumstance would see the Chapter fall under a cloud of long-standing suspicion and discourse. Even into the modern era, the Inquisition still considers the Ravens to be a very controversial Chapter and continuously keeps a close eye on them whenever possible.

Chapter History[]

The Azure Ravens was founded in the 25th Founding. Their purpose was to be a standing force to fight the expanding Tau Empire in the Eastern Fringe in the Segmentum Ultima. Having their origins from the Ultramarines would of been a sign that the chapter was destined for greatness. Carick Rubein himself was a member of the Ultramarines 1st Company prior to becoming the Azure Ravens Chapter Master.

Although the young Chapter was said to be destined for greatness, the first few campaigns would test the resolve of the Chapter. With many of their early failures spreading to some other Chapters and worlds, the word 'doomed' slowly began to become associated with the young Chapter.

When the Chapter was founded, the Azure Ravens were originally going to be a fleet-based chapter. However, this plan was shortly scrapped when Carick went to the world of Kubrerth and found a mountain range that he liked and wanted to constuct a fortress-monestary on the planet.

By the time of the Fall of Cadia at the close of M41, the Azure Ravens were able to distance themselves from the rumors of them being ill-fated, after they were able to build up their forces and have various of wins under their belts.

They may have become the beloved Chapter in Sector Kasva, but those who know the truth about the Kasva sector speak in hushed tones or refuse to comment. Although, the Inquisitors who do search for evidence on what has happened there, usually find a lack of evidence to charge anyone of heresy.

With the Idomitus Crusade, the Ravens have been put on a very defensive stance to protect the Kasva Sector. With all of their forces gathered in the sector instead of going on the offensive towards the Tau as they usual do. With the surge of warp storms and being cut off from the Imperium. The Chapter is rumored to again go over the limit of 1,000 astartes to be able to defend their sector and go on the offensive.

After Idomitus ended, the Ravens saved face by publicly showing that the new Marines would be forming their own Chapter, as there Ravens would be at their limit. This was another move to try and distance themselves from past conflicts that plague the Chapter. Of course, not many cared as there were much more pressing matters to contend with, as the galaxy was still split in two and the Tyranids flooding the Galaxy's space.

with the new Primaris Marines, the Ravens have their Chapter split 50/50 between First Born and Primaris. Promoting that squads be mixed with Primaris Marines and First born. Having Primaris Marines also allowed the Ravens to use new vehicle patters, which they couldn't say no to. But having the new Primaris has greatly helped in breaking Jazmine's influence as they are immune to her influence. Future training for new First Born and Primaris Marines involve the indoctrination of resisting Jazmine's temptations and having her shot on sight.

Notable Campaigns[]

  • Crurax Offensive - The first major Campaign that the Chapter did. This Chapter was considered a major failure by the Chapter. Crurax was a citizen imperial world that is now under Tau control. Companies 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th were sent to Crurax with an Imperial contingent to lay siege secure the world. When the ground war started, the orbital bombardments hardly damaged the Tau world. The Chapter's forces on the world were lead by inexperienced company and squad commanders as they havent been in any majors battles like Crurax before. As well before this the Raven's were set on their combat doctrine of range focus. They had more Assault Squads in their companies than ranged units at this time. Being melee focused at the time did no help them as they charged Tau gun lines. Most of the Marines were slaughtered by riptides and heavy gun positions. The ground force of Space Marines and Imperial Guard were routed. Some of the survivors of the Companies that did make it off the world have said that it could of gone better if Carick was there.
  • Space Hulk Unholy Judgement - The Space hulk that was spotted in Sector Kasva was rife with Tyranids and Chaos. The origin of the Space hulk is unknown but it has tormented the Sector with Chaos incursions and possible Ork and Tyranid invasions. Unholy Judgement was a priority target for the Azure Ravens and Battle Fleet Kasva. When ever the Hulk entered the sector, the Ravens and Battle Fleet would jump to the Hulk at the earliest possible opportunity. There have been seven incursions into the Space Hulk by the Ravens. Three failed incursions and four successful incursions. The fifth time the Ravens went into the Space Hulk, the found a Master Crafted Heavy bolter. Unable to identify any name or previous user, they decided to call it the Screaming Raven. The sixth time they went to the space hulk, they found Imperial Guard survivors holding out against gene stealers and other Tyranid monstrosities. Their ship got consumed into the space hulk, but where able to hold up in their ship and keep their Geller Field Active. The fate of the Guardsmen is unknown as the Chapter wanted to keep their existence a secret from the Inquisition for the sake of the Guardsmen's lives. The final incursion ended in disaster as most of the terminators sent into the Space Hulk were killed. After that, the Space Hulk went back into the warp and hasn't returned in over 300 years. The Raven will be ready to return to the space hulk and hopefully bring all their ships and Fleet Kasva to finish off of the Hulk.
  • Hunt for the orb - An artifact under Slaanesh influence, the orb called the Orb of Pleasure. Was tainted by Slaanesh's influence during the fall of the Eldar, the artifact would be used to summon a Keeper of Secrets. The Greater daemon in said orb would be released if it's sacrifice, as well as pain and pleasure volumes are met. A pleasure cult during M38 released the Greater deamon and the Eldar had to stop in to stop it as they got caught in the crossfire and wanted to stop Slaanesh at all costs. When the Ravens were brought into Sector Kasva, the news about a Chaos artifact reached the Chapter when an Arbite in hive world Voruta found a piece. It took the Ravens 18 years to find all the pieces of the orb, they kept the orb unassembled and put it in their relic vault for the Libarians to study the artifact fully. Some members voiced their discomfort about this and preferred to have thrown the pieces into the sun.
  • Rescue of the Mother - The earlier half of M41, Tech Priest Jazmine sent out a distress call when her expedition was ambushed by Chaos forces. The Ambush was meant to draw the Ravens out, Chaos Marines expected a small group of Ravens to arrive. Instead, almost the entire Chapter came to her rescue. Chaos forces were crushed with in a few hours. The Ravens stayed on the planet for a week to make sure Chaos presence was eliminated thoroughly. The Chapter returned to Raven Rock and brought Jazmine there to screen her for any Chaos intrusions and see why she was on said world and why Chaos ambushed her expedition. They found out that Jaz was searching for rumored STCs and other artifacts that were said to be in the Sector. Although this was found out to be a ruse by Chaos forces to get to the Chapter's weakness. The Ravens were going to return Jazmine to Forge World Stravastea. This did turn into disaster as they were forced to help a planet under siege by Chaos forces. When the Ravens went planet side, Carick have Jazmine stay close as they had to help the Planet and protect the people from the Chaos incursion. In the middle of the battle, Kyuvaan Andrus killed Jazmine in behind the Raven lines. Ten minutes later, Carick was killed by Khorne Berserkers.
  • Sacking of Kubrerth - The Chapter themselves never participated in the Plague Wars on a large scale, but they did have to go on the defensive when the entire Kasva Sector was under siege by Nurgles forces and the Deamons of Slaanesh. There was a Chapter under the orders of Tzeentch to recover an artifact that the Ravens hold. The first invasion was a failure and had to rely on a diversionary tactic to get the Ravens away for a second invasion. The invasion is when the Chapter had to use their most prized possession. They call it Raven's Pride, but it is a Horus Heresy Mastodon era that the Ultramarines use and it was called Calth's Revenge. The void shields helped greatly in the fight, but that doesn't downplay the fact that the weapons were very crucial in taking down some of the large Chaos forces on the field. When Chaos forces got closer the fortress, the Mastodon was ordered to retreat back into the fortress and was put into the massive relic vault under ground. The invasion would last for two months as Daemons would constantly come and go. Warbands would gain access to the main halls of the fortress, but would never able to get deeper. During down time, the Chapter sent out teams to secure any survivors who were unable to get to the fortress when the invasion hit. The battle was catastrophic and made the Ravens rethink their ways on their homeworld. After the second invasion, the Chapter decided to build fortress all around the planet so not only could the Ravens use to protect future recruits, but also fortresses that the PDF could use. The invasions would have lead the Ravens to throw the Orb of Pleasure pieces into the Sun and further piss off Slaanesh.

Chapter Homeworld[]

Kubrerth[]

An Imperial Civilized world in Ultima Segmentum. An Imperial Civilized world in Ultima Segmentum. Kubrerth, is located in the Kasva Sector and in the Parasus Subsector, a few sub sectors away from Tau Space. This world was chosen because the Tech Priests were pleased wit the genetic material of the world. Although Carick liked the strategic position of one of the mountain ranges and how close the world is to Tau space. Being able to react quickly but also have some cushion from Xenos attack. Kubrerth had a small PDF that was lacking in material, skill and discipline, and the urge to fight. All the traits that would not make a great space marine.

With Carick and the Tech Priests pretty much announcing their precense to the world, the social structure of the world change almost over night. Cracking down on all aspects of fighting. Hoping that their future children would be chosen to be an Angel of Death. The Govenor himself made sure that the PDF did not slack as well. Since a weak PDF would not look good for a Space Marine Homeworld.

The Ravens have a Stewardship with Kubrerth.

Fortress-Monastery[]

Raven Rock is the Chapters HQ on Kubrerth. Built into a mountain, the mountain range is fitted with many static defensive positions that can attack air and ground targets from almost a 360 view. While the main entrance building is outside of the mountain, many of the integral parts of the moneastary are in the mountain. Like the forge and the library. The secure vault holding all the unused relics and/or chaos relics for them to study are kept there.

In the Fortress Monestary, the Ravens were given a bigger forge as they have more Tech Marines and as well build more tanks to be used for the Chapter. This in turn, skimped on the Psyker ward as the amount of psykers are much smaller than usual for a Chapter.

Another added section is the Raven Ward. This Ward is used to breed and train Ravens. This task is done by the Chapter serfs. Once the Ravens are grown enough, they are handed over to the Apothacaries and Tech Marines to augment the birds for battle and other roles that would help the Chapter or the PDF on Kubrerth.

Chapter Organisation[]

Officer Ranks[]

  • Raven King - The alternate title for Chapter Master. Carick Rubien responds to both titles equally and holds no resentment towards people who calls him either. He is mostly referred to Raven King by his chapter brothers. Outsiders refer to the Chapter Master still as Chapter Master
  • Raven Lord - The Company Commanders of the Chapter.
  • Raven Knights - Chapter lieutenants

Specialist Ranks[]

  • Raven Masters - In the 1st Company of the Azur Ravens, Marine Veterans are called Raven Masters. These squads of Raven Masters Command Flocks of cybernetic ravens in combat. using the swarm as meat shields, distractions, and assault birds. These Ravens are a valuable asset to the Chapter as they lack any form of dedicated assault squads. Utilizing these birds to screen their forces from enemy charges. It would be of greater effect. Every Company has a dedicated Raven Master and/or team but all veterans in the 1st company ARE Raven masters.
  • Raven Keepers - Keepers are the Chapter Serfs that are tasked with breeding and raising the Ravens that are needed for the Chapter. Once a Raven is judged for augmentation, they are handed over to the apothacaries and tech marines to work on the birds at their earliest convience.

Line Ranks[]

  • Hatchlings - Scout marines are sometimes referred as hatchlings. Since the process of being accepted into the chapter and surviving all the gene seed implantations, can be considered as growing an egg. Some take is as an insult, some consider it an honor. The marines thought of it since they have been going on a bird motif and thought it would be suitable to name the new bloods as eggs and hatchlings.

Specialist Units & Formations[]

Order of Battle[]

Headquarters[]

  • Chapter Master Carick Rubien - The one and only Chapter Master.
  • Chief Librarian Cythar
  • Forge Master Jarrox Dragonfist - The 3rd Forge Master of the Chapter. When a Tech Marines becomes a Forge Master, his duty is to stay in the Monastery and oversee production of equipment and vehicles. The Forge Mast as well spends a lot of his time making sure the Mastodon Relic vehicle is always in pristine condition. Not letting anyone pilot but him or the Chapter Master
  • Chief Apothacary Venatus
  • Chaplain Cornelos
  • Fleet Master Astoman - Captain of the Raven Destiny and commands the Entire Chapter Fleet. Astoman has been commanding the fleet for 600 years.

Companies[]

  • 1st Company - "Ravens Finest" 1st Company - This Company as every other Chapter has the most experienced troops. Terminators, their HQ members and the Raven Masters. Space Marine Veterans that are given a bunch of ravens to command in combat.
  • 2nd Company - "Ravens Claw" 2nd Company contains mostly tactical squads.
  • 3rd Company Just like 2nd Company, Tactical Squads are mostly fielded in this company.
  • 4th Company The 3rd Company that fields mostly tactical squads. This Company is where Scout marines that have not been given a role in the air, armored, or heavy weapons companies go to. 3rd is usually regarded as the least experienced because of this.
  • 5th Company 5th Company contains solely heavy weapons teams. 5th Company usually fights alongside of 2nd Company to provide fire support or anti armor.
  • 6th Company The other heavy weapons company.
  • 7th Company Mixed Company. 7th Company has a couple tactical squads, a few dreadnoughts and jump pack marines.
  • 8th Company "Raven's Beak" Armored Company. The 8th uses the Predator and Vindicator Laser Destroyer as their two main battle tanks. This won't stop the Ravens from using Land Raiders or Rhinos. Some anti air vehicles like the Stalker, whirlwind and Hunter are used as well, but not as numerous as the MBTs.
  • 9th Company - "Raven Wings" 9th is the Raven's dedicated Airwing. Using various Gunships Storm Ravens, Fire Raptors, Thunderhawks, Stormhawks and Stormtalon Gunships. Their most used aircraft is the Stormtalon gunship as it can be used for anti air and anti ground.
  • 10th Company - Just like every other space marine chapter, the 10th Company is the scout company and for all the new recruits.
  • 11th Company (Confirmed) - During the Indomitus Crusade, Roboute Guilliman brought Primaris Marines to every chapter he possibly can to replenish their ranks. While The Ravens did not accept the Primaris Marines at first. Hearing that they were from Guilliman himself, the Ravens accepted the Marines. Although the amount of Primaris sent was enough to fill 4 full companies. Since there was a crusade going on, they did use the opportunity make a temporary 11th and 12th Company.
  • 12th Company (Confirmed) - Just like the confirmed 11th, the 12th Company was an all Primaris Company in the Azure Ravens. The two supported the Ravens until the end of the crusader. Where the remainder of the 11th and 12th would form the Celestial Ravens. Taking on the Raven's name to honour the service they had together.

Rumored[]

  • 11th Company (Rumored) - The Inquisition has heard rumors of a permanent 11th Company. Lacking any actual proof to accuse the Chapter of fielding more than the Codex limit Marines. The 11th Company is mostly just rumors and even those in the Chapter themselves lack any knowledge of an 11th Company. The Libarians and Chapter Master of the Ravens are the only ones knows if said company DOES or DOES not exists. This 11th Company is just one of the many points in the Chapter's history that has brought the Inquisition to investigate and keep an eye on the Ravens.
  • Unnumbered Sons There is a rumor that there is a second chapter or that these unnumbered marines are actually Azure Ravens. There is no chapter iconography on there and there are no marks to identify their company. These marines are full Black and finish their missions as fast as they arrive. One report said that someone say a roman numeral two on a marines right shoulder. Unable to find said witness, and could be a false claim. Said person probably saw Deathwatch member.

Lost Companies[]

  • Traitorous 3rd - The Traitorous 3rd left the Chapter when they found out the mother was resurrected. Out of all the Chapters, the 3rd felt the most pain, even among the new recruits. Their devotion to her was stronger than the rest, and it made them prime targets for Jazmine to influence them to try and get more members onto her side. They did manage to take Strike Cruiser Brightbound with them.
  • Consumed 6th - The only company that was lost to the warp. 6th were on Strike Cruiser Sureclaw. The ship was transported across the galaxy and exited five years after it's disappearance. The 6th had to fight off daemons and Necron. By the time Sureclaw was found back in Sector Kasva, there were five Marines left holding the bridge of the ship.
  • Swarmed 4th - This Company held the line against against a Tyranid Swarm. The 2nd, 8th, and 9th came to support the 4th. Although the company was eliminated by the swarm, not all was lost as the Apothecaries were able to secure the gene seed from their dead brothers.

Chapter Recruitment[]

In Sector Kasva, the Ravens use the their entire sub-sector Parasus where their homeworld Kubreth is located.

There are two types of Trials in the Chapter. Hunting Trial and the Challenge trial. The Challenge trial is pretty simple. The Ravens usually use the Challenge trial when they are trying to get as many new people as possible. As they are quick and can lighten the logistics a bit. Since neophytes are forced to fight a full Astartes, the Ravens look to see how well the neophyte does against the Astartes. As do most chapters who use the challenge Trial. Usually happens at the Fortress Monastery.

The other Trial, when there is no known Crusade or Campaign going on, is the Hunting Trial that the Ravens do. This has a part of the Challenge trial in it as the recruits are to track and "capture" the full grown astartes on a death world. This Trial is usually done when the Ravens find a "bad batch" or need a few recruits. This trial is longer as the recruit has a week to find the Astartes and capture him. This may seem short, but the hunt is restricted to a "small" area that the battle brother is restricted to. Recruits who do survive and capture are regarded as brothers that will do great things for the chapter. Depending on the recruits progress, when a week is up, the hunt ends. If he did well, he could be considered a brother. Poorly, of course is failure. Not "capturing the full astartes does not guarantee failure. As surviving a Death world is a great feat. Recruits who do pass, are more skilled than the ones in the normal Challenge Trials.

  • Voruta - Hive World Voruta is the 2nd recruiting world that the Ravens use to find potential recruits. They send one squad to evaluate the citizens of the hive world and also go down to the depths of the hive world to find some recruits in the Gangs. Sometimes the recruits from the gangs are taken by force.
  • Mathea - Another Civilized world in the sector. This one is the Homeworld of an Imperial Knight House. The recruitment on this world is low but there have been some people that have grabbed the attention of the Ravens.
  • Mogrov - A tribal/death world used for training recruits Where the Chapter sends its neophytes to train. The Ravens also recruit from this world as most of the tribals tend to lead to stronger marines than their civilized counterparts who have better intelligence. Which the Ravens do prefer. Mogrov is used as one of the training grounds for the the chapters recruits.

Chapter Beliefs[]

  • Never Forgive - There is a strong vendetta against a fellow 25th Founding Chapter. The Star Cobra's were helping the Ravens fight Tyranids in a sector. The two had a strong rivalry to the point where they would kill each other for the honor of the battle. In the waning days of the (campaign) a splintered Hive Fleet Pegasus named by the Imperium arrived. The Star Cobras retreated from the sector before the battle started and left the Ravens on their own. With the Cobra's abandoning, the Ravens vowed to eliminate the Cobras for this treachery
  • Tolerant - While the Chapter was risen to fight Xenos. They have become more Tolerant of Tau and Aldari as the two factions joined together to deal with the Tyranid threat. The Ravens also joined the two Xenos race as they knew if the Tyranids weren't stopped. Imperial worlds would be next. The few fights and skirmishes between the Ravens and Xenos slowly withered away as they changed their focus on killing heretics and finding the Star Cobras and removing any trace of them. They are more tolerant to the Eldar than the Tau. They won't hesitate to kill the Eldar if they are no use to the Ravens.
  • Purge all heretics -There is a strong vendetta against a fellow 25th Founding Chapter. With the Cobra's abandoning, the Ravens vowed to eliminate the Cobras for this treachery.
  • Limited Psykers - Psyskers in the Ravens are a very uncommon sight. There are on average, 5 or 6 psyker marines in the Chapter. There is a distrust for psykers because of the issues that can arise if the warp gets ahold of a pskyer. Those that are psykers in the Chapter, are usually respected and not mistrusted.
  • Honour the Ancestors - The Ravens honour Chapter Master Carick and other Space Marines in the chapter that have done great feats. They do honour their Primarch but not the extant as other chapters. They believe their heroes are next to the Emperor when they die.
  • Homebound - The Ravens promote their brothers to return to their homeworld after campaigns or after a certain time. This is entirely optional and up to the companies as they would vote to return home or not. When they do return to Kubrerth, the marines gather in the monastery for group prayers and occasional go out to their families that they left behind or just wander the planet a bit to remind themselves that they are fighting for more than just their monastery and the Imperium at large. The Governor does request the Ravens to do a big parade with the PDF when the entire Chapter gathers. These parades are what start the rumors of the Chapter being over strengthened as the Chapter likes to Flaunt their extra reserve of tanks and use the Chapter serfs to drive them in the parades.
  • Protect the Citizen - The citizens in Sector Kasva can rest knowing that the Azur Ravens will do what they can to protect them. Not compared to the Salamanders that put citizen lives above their own. The Ravens do their best to protect and get the citizens of the Sector out of Danger. This feeling of protection is stronger when the fight comes to Sub-sector Parasus. Even more on their homeworld where the Marines will stop at nothing to protect the people that provide them with the ability to keep their Chapter numbers up. Although outside of Kasva, the Raven's don't rush to their aid that fast and only do so if it strategically viable to do. Their goal is to protect the people, but also limit the casualties the enemy causes to said planet's populace. There are few people outside of Kasva and their subsector that they are willing to protect out of importance. Be it a very useful General that earned their trust, or a lowly citizen who might one day, they thing accomplish great things.
  • Protect the Raven Mother - This flaw is exclusive to the Azure Ravens. It is hard to pinpoint this belief, if it even is a belief or a hidden modification to the Gene Seed of the Chapter. The Azure Ravens view a certain Tech Priestess with hyper focus. It might be more a chapter belief as When something that involves Tech Priestess Jazmine, the Azure Ravens act like the Salamanders Chapter. One can say the Chapter worships Jazmine as much as the Emperor. This belief is the most secret belief of the Chapter, if they do worship her, it is in the deepest depths of the monastery or in private quarters on their ships. Her suggestions on what the Chapter does are taken into more consideration than any other outsider's suggestions. The Chapter will send what forces they have available to Jaz's rescue if she needs it, but there have been accounts of Ravens leaving the battlefields for unknown reasons that seem more important than the current battle. There is no evidence that the Azure Ravens just up and leave a battle to save one mortal. The have been sightings on Kubrerth, the Chapter's homeworld of a Tech Priest always being guarded by a Tactical squad. This can be excused as the Ravens protecting a Magos as they have a high amount of Tech Marines and want to keep relations well to continue having Tech Marines. This Belief changed the Azure Ravens, when Jazmine died at the hands of one of their own. The Chapter carried a great shame and became more aggressive in battle. Instead of being calculated and slow in battle, the Ravens can sometimes flip as a memory of their core belief was failed and become more offensive. No where near as bad as the Black Rage, but the Ravens demand vengence on all of the enemies of the Imperium.

Chapter Gene-Seed[]

The Azure Ravens' gene-seed originates from the proud lineage of the heroic Ultramarines, being the most pure and stable out of the rest of founding chapters. Although most of the Azure Ravens' gene-seed has no issues and very few mutations, there have been a couple of genetic flaws that the Ravens deem acceptable, but their Apothecaries still attempt to keep all of their gene-seed as pure and free of mutation as possible for the gene-seed tithe.

With the introduction of the Primaris Gene seed, the Azure Ravens were curious and afraid that their gene seed had to be replaced. It was decided that they would use the Primaris Gene seed along side of their original gene seed. So they decided who gets what gene seed. Usually the Chapter tries to keep the usage of both at 50/50.

Genetic Flaws[]

Those Astartes that do get the genetic flaws or missing parts of the gene-seed usually miss the Lyman's Ear and or the Betcher's Gland. These are considered acceptable flaws by the Chapter as their tactics don't involve deep striking or close quarters. Of course, having these defects is bad and the Apothecaries do their best to prevent the flaws and other mutations from happening.

Combat Doctrine[]

  • Range - Azure Ravens have their tactics revolve around the gun. All their combat actions center around ranged combat. Very rarely do they attempt close quarters. If they ever do get in close quarters, the marines can handle it somewhat but won't be able to inflict casualties like an assault squad can. Assault Squads are not completely removed from the chapter. They usually have a tiny portion of the chapters forces as assault squads to screen their tactical squads from charging enemies. The main reason the Chapter is range focused is because of their main enemy, the Tau Empire.
  • Armor - Being the second combat focus of the chapter has given the Azure Ravens the ability to support their infantry and take down larger targets that the infantry would have trouble with.
  • Thunderhawks - The main and only way Azure Ravens transport their troops from orbit to surface and vice versa. With the a large portion of their forces lacking the Lymans Ear. The Ravens modified all their space ships to remove all drop pods and replace them with rooms that would support their ships in a better capacity. Another reason was to prevent loss of Casualties from disoriented marines when they land.
  • Combined arms - The Chapter builds itself so that multiple companies can support each other when needed. This lets them be very adaptable to the various threats they have to respond to.

Deathwatch Service[]

Service for the Deathwatch is something the Raven's haven't considered much. There have only been 5 memebers from the Chapter that have served in the Deathwatch before the Indomitus Crusade. After the crusade, the Chapter has bigger concerns than sending Marines to another Chapter.

  • Ometor - An Azure Raven Sergeant that volunteered to go to the Deathwatch to gain favor with the Inquisition and the Deathwatch. He pretty much went there to spread the name of the Azure Ravens and try to and keep relations with other Chapters in a positive light if rumors spread. Ometor's progress was probably insufficient or him joining the Deathwatch had no impact on the Inquisitions view on the Ravens. Which it probably did not.
  • Valeus - One of the few Assault Marines in the Azure Ravens. Valeus went to the Deathwatch to expand his knowledge on the other Xenos and share tactics that he learned while in the Deathwatch. Instead, Valeus stayed in the Deathwatch and did not return to the Ravens. This has lead the Ravens to believe he has fallen in battle. He was put in the Chapter's books as an aggressive but very critical member in keeping their gun lines safe.

Notable Members[]

The Mothers[]

  • Mother Primus aka The Traitorous Mother - The Ravens revere Jazmine as the mother of the Chapter. She had a big hand, a major hand in developing the Chapter, by setting up the location for their Fortress Monestary on their new homeworld. Along with being the head Tech Priest in checking the purity of the Gene Seed. Along with Teaching the first Techmarines of the Chapter. Jazmine also produced the first two Chapter Relics. Both Master Crafted weapons. Jazmine's Vengence and Raven's Redemption. After her death on a battlefield, Jaz was taken the Fortress Monastery and put in the tomb alongside Carick. After around five hundred years, Cadia falls and Chaos is on the loose in the galaxy. The Ravens find out that their most Scared Mother was a Chaos worshipper. They immediately take action and throw her coffin into the sun. After all of that is said and done, the Chapter tries to figure out ways to break Jazmine's grip over them.
  • Mother Secundus Tech Priest Pria was hailed as the second mother of the Chapter to help break the curse that has fallen onto the Chapter. Pria originally was assigned to patch up relations with the Azure Ravens. So they can have the Ravens come back to Forge World Stravestea to keep training Raven Tech Marines. Unknown to her, she would become a significant part in helping the Chapter recover as a whole. Pria's first steps of being recognized by the Ravens was her defense on a ship that was carrying Raven Gene Seed back to Terra. The Warband of the Sacred Mother raided the ship that Pria was on. A Distress call was sent out and the Ravens came as soon as they can. Not wanting their seed to fall in Chaos hands. On arrival, the Ravens boarded the ship and set on clearing the heretics. They went to the gene seed storage and found the floors on the storage area to be covered in blood. The gene seed was fine and they found a very damaged Pria in the storage. Recovering her as the lone survivor, the Ravens brought her back to Stravestea and had the ship recrewed by Ad mech forces to go back to Terra.

Space Marines[]

  • Chapter Master Carick Rubein - Carick was a part of the founding members of the Azure Ravens, formerly being a 1st Company Captain of the Ultramarines. Carick would lead his Chapter through glory and suspicion. His service was long and grueling. Having to deal with xenos, daemons and eyes from the Imperium. Carick died in battle trying to protect Tech Priestess Jazmine, he witnessed her death at the hand of a Chaos Space Marine. He went into a rage and charged the Chaos group. All the other Marines went into a rage as well after Carick. The death of two important figure heads of the Chapter, put a massive morale hit on the Chapter. Carick and Jaz were retrieved after the battle and taken to the Fortress Monastery and put in the deep halls. In their massive Tomb hall to honor all the great heroes and fall brothers. Carick was put in a special tomb hidden in said tomb hall next to Jaz. During the Indomitus Crusade, it was found out that Carick was resurrected and fighting for Chaos. Under the banner of Jazmine's warband. There have been debates if they should remove his name or not as it seems like every fellow Raven who has died, is fighting for her. Realizing they are fighting against their will. The Ravens decided to not remove everyone's name...yet.
  • Garrehart Tibera - Taking command after the death of Carick Rubein. Garrehart lead the Chapter through the rest of the M41. He ended up being swarmed by Chaos Daemons during the Plague Wars.
  • Chapter Master Ruibius Venter - The most recent Chapter Master of the Ravens. Having survived the Plague Wars, he was a Captain in the 1st Company as he had the most experience. Ruibius had to deal with rebuilding the Chapter when the Daemons were driven back out of Sector Kasva temporarily. Ruibius was the first Primaris marine Chapter Master of the Ravens. He was originally a Hellblaster before he rose the ranks. Taking his Assault Plasma gun with him as well. Improving the weapon over his short service as well. Ruibius was able to quickly become Chapter Master after a large portion of the higher ups were killed in the Daemon onslaught. He was able to rally the rest of the marines, the chapter serfs and Kubreths PDF and militias to repel the Daemon assault. A popular Remeberence rendition of Ruibius is where his is standing on top of the Relic Mastadon Raven's Pride. Pointing out into the distance where the Daemons are as the PDF, marines and anyone on planet rally to push them out.
  • Kyuvaan Andrus - 2nd Company Captain. Kyuvaan was a very....influential? Important. He was very Important for the Ravens when they were at their most vulnerable. Kyuvaan did what by M42 would be considered the most heroic act, while in M41 was the most heretical act some one could of done in the Chapter. On the way back to Forge World Stravastea, the Chapter stopped at another world to help eliminate Chaos presence there. In the middle of the battle, Kyuvaan was starting to feel different and started doubting Jazmine as the battle went on. As he went up to question her, he started to sense the corruption in her. Thoughts ran through his head a high speed as he debated on what to do. He will be shamed for ever if he killed her, but if he didn't, then the chapter would be doomed. So Kyuvaan pulled his chainsword out and killed Jazmine with no regrets. He was executed on the spot by all of the Chapter's brothers that were there. His body were buried deep in the Fortress Monastery to be forgotten after they salvaged his gene seed and gear from his body. Stripped of his name and branded the forgotten traitor. At M41 was turning into M42. The Chapter's forces found Jazmine leading a Chaos Space Marine warband. This made the Librarians and other Chapter staff realize that Kyuvaan saved the Chapter from a fate of Chaos enslavement. Clearing his name and naming him the most heroic member of the Chapter.
  • Domintis - The Chapter's 1st marine put into a Dreadnought. Domitis was a Company Lieutenant that they put in a Dreadnought after he was mortally wounded by a Tau Riptide.
  • Petronius Kotzen - The first Primaris space marine to join the Chapter. Kotzen was put in command of the temporary 11th Company until the chapter could get the reinforcements settled in and established. Most of the Primaris forces fought in the 1st and 2nd invasions of Kubrerth during the plague wars. After that, Kotzen and a lot of primaris questioned the Raven's ideals. The issues were set aside rather quickly as Petronius was put into the 2nd Company.
  • Korillon Darsio - One of the Chief Libarians of the Azure Ravens Chapter. Korillon had his name cemented into the Chapters memory as he fought alongside another Chief Libarian named Morr. Korillon and Morr would be with their respective Chapter forces on a world as TWO Chaos warbands arrived. Chaos Warband called the Desecrators lead by a Chaos Champion Azazel. As well as the Brotherhood of the Sacred Mother lead by Tzeentch Tech Sorcress Jazmine. Morr Took on Azazel while Korillon took on Jazmine. The two would fight their Chapter's arch enemies to the death. Ending up banishing both Chaos servants back to their realms but ended up perishing not long after the battle.

Chapter Serfs[]

Chapter Fleet[]

Battle Barges[]

  • Raven Destiny - Raven Destiny is the flag ship of the Azure Ravens. It is the largest of the battle barges that the Ravens own. Originally the Destiny's plans would of had the Fortress Monastery built into the ship. This could explain the large size of the ship. But plan's where changed mid construction before the crew got to the Monastery part. The Tech priests involved with the Gene Seed purity and scouting world's Genetics found that Kubrerth was the Prime world for the Chapter's Homeworld. So they removed all parts of the Monastery and turned it into a normal Battle Barge.
  • Raven Dawn - Dawn is in the middle for size between the two other Battle Barges. It is also the youngest of the three battle barges. Dawn has be crucial to the Raven War effort as a mobile resupply base for other Chapter ships in the sector. Dawn would act as the dedicated Battle Barge to defending Kubrerth. As the Chapter likes to have one battle barge over their homeworld for three months at a time. During Rotation, the Chapter uses the time to rest their crews and forces. When their three month rotation is up, one of the other two barges would take their place. Dawn's tactics usually form around supporting other Imperial elements in Sector Kavsva. Unlike the aggressive actions of Raven Daughter or the heavily defensive maneuvers of Raven dEstiny.
  • Raven Daughter - The smallest of the three battle barges, Daughter has actually seen more combat than the other two Battle Barges. The crew is more skilled and more aggressive. Daughter's battle mostly went unnoticed by anyone outside of the Chapter. As her battlegroup would either ambush or have a full on assault against renegades and xenos a like. The Daughter's most noticeable battle. Well famous battle was during the Plague Wars when her group was on their Homebound period above Kubrerth. The fleet fought against the Chaos forces with such ferocity that She was able to delay them so Dawn and Destiny can return home to help. There were talks in the Chapter to change the Flagship to Raven Daughter after the siege because of the valiant defense she was able to put up till reinforcements came. This never came to be as there was more pressing concerns at the time than changing flag ships.

Strike Cruisers[]

  • Heavenbolt - Heavenbolt is the first Strike Cruiser that the Ravens received.
  • Sureclaw -
  • Skyraven - The only Strike cruiser in the fleet that has the name raven in it's name. Skyraven is assigned to follow Raven Destiny around.
  • Silverbear - Silverbear is one of the most active Strike Cruisers in the Chapter. It had transported the 1st Company to Spacehulk Unholy Judgement, it Broket hrough Tau ships to land it's thunderhawks in the middle of Tau Territory on a world under siege. While also being the first ship to have the Comapany onboard to save the SoB forces from a Tyranid invasion. Silverbear is usually given the 2nd to transport to sectors. In somecases, the 1st with Unholy Judgement. If the 1st is not on the Raven Destiny, it is on Silverbear. The only ship Carick truly trusts to carry the memebers of the 1st.
  • Cometwing - Recieving it's name because it was the fastest Strike Cruiser that the Chapter had. Mostly used for hit and run missions. Comet is also the center piece for missions that require speed along with mass damage and confusion.
  • RazorBound - Tasked with defending Kubrerth with Raven Daughter when the Chapter left to save Tech Priestess Jazmine. The ship was lost at the beginning of the second invasion of Kubrerth. The Chapter exited warp jump and witnessed the ship explode and plummet to their homeworld.
  • BrightBound - Brightbound has was like any other Strike Cruiser in the Chapter. Until the Crew and the Marines on board decided to join Jazmine. Brightbound and the Entire 3rd Company that was on it, had their names removed from Chapter history.

Escorts[]

  • Cold Caster - The first Escort that the chapter received.
  • Argent Hand -
  • Ebon Staff - Ebon staff was the primary escort that transported Jazmine from Raven Space back to her Forge World, or just trips to other planets. The crew of the ship had very high morale when ever their Chapter mother was on board. This all changed when the news about her Chaos taint spread through the entire Chapter. Trying to find salvation after their morale hit rock bottom at knowing their mother was a traitor. The crew of the Ebon staff decided to ram their ship into some Chaos ships over Kubrerth. They managed to successfully ram and take down a damaged Chaos Strike Cruiser at the cost of their own ship and crew. Hoping for the Emperor forgiveness with their deaths.

Chapter Relics[]

  • Raven's Retribution - Master Crafted Chain Sword. A Chain sword personally crafted by Tech Priest Jazmine. She made the sword after loosing her entourage to an Ork swarm. She held onto this sword until she found the Space Marine Chapter that was considered in her eyes. Worthy enough to use it. Personally given to Carick Rubein by Jazmine during the formation of the Chapter. The first Relic they received. This Chainsword is used only by the Chapter Masters. The machine spirit refuses to work otherwise unless under certain circumstances. In the Chapter, it is rumored that those who can use the Chainsword and it turns on willingly. Might become a Chapter Master. Formerly called Jazmine's Vengeance, the Azure Ravens renamed it to Raven's Retribution. The Librarians spent weeks inspecting their most prized relic for Chaos taint and were unable to find any. As this weapon was made before Jazmine's fall.
  • Raven's Purity - Master Crafted Bolter. Carick uses this bolter along side Raven's Retribution. This Bolter was manufactured by yet again Jazmine for Carick. The Bolter was to symbolize hope for the young Chapter during their lowest point. Unlike Raven Vengeance, Raven Redemption was discovered with Chaos taint by the Librarians. Not wanting to sacrifice such a valuable weapon. The Librarians worked tirelessly to purify the weapon. After the process was finished, they were able to purify the weapon of Chaos taint. Renaming the bolter to Raven's Purity.
  • Screaming Raven - Master Crafted Heavy Bolter. This heavy bolter was found in space hulk Unholy Judgement. This was Relic was used by an unknown Space Marine Chapter that previously boarded the Space hulk at an unknown time. The Ravens have been unable to find the origins of the Bolter but have found not signs of Chaos taint on it. So they took it in as their own and it is used by their best heavy weapon users.
  • Beratrox's Will - Master Crafted Power Sword. A stolen power sword. There was a race between the Star Cobras and the Ravens. A race that the Cobra's didn't even know they were participating in. Beratrox's Will is a Power Sword tainted by Chaos after the user's death. The Star Cobra's found the location of said artifact while on campaign and retrieved it from it's vault. Unknown to the squads there. An Craftworld Farseer tipped the Ravens of the location of a relic the Cobra's were after. The Raven's ambushed their rivals on their way out of the vault and left no Cobra survivors. This small skirmish was very controversial and the Inquisition got involved when the Cobra's accused the Ravens for killing their brothers. The Inquisition found no solid proof it was the Ravens themselves. The blade was handed over to the Inquisition to regain some good will. Especially after the invasion of Kubrerth. They wanted to get rid of all their Chaos tainted artifacts.
  • Orb of Pleasure - A Chaos relic that is under Slaanesh's influence. This relic a few centuries ago with the help of a Chaos pleasure Cult, released a greater daemon and an army under Slaanesh's influence rule. The Eldar in area got in the crossfire and were forced to combat this daemon and his/her army. They destroyed the orb and scattered the pieces so it won't be used again. When the Raven's found a piece of it in present day. They had to find the other pieces before someone else got them a Chaos cult got close but didn't have the final piece to finish it. This relic put the entire Kasva Sector into fear as they remembered the history of it. The Ravens have the orb secured tightly in their relic vault so they can study it. After the Sacking of Kubrerth by the daemons, the Ravens decided to destroy it completely.
  • Calth's Revenge/Raven's Pride - This Horus Heresy era super heavy vehicle was found by the Ravens and brought back to their fortress Monastery. The Mastodon was put in the massive Vehicle hangar of the Ravens. The vehicle is highly prized and Carrick said the only time it can be use during a last case scenario. There was debate to put in the Relic Vault, but it was decided to be kept in the Vehicle bay. If the Ravens were to claim a relic as the Pride of the Chapter, it would be this one. On display for all serfs and marines to see. When walking by, this vehicle gives a very strong sense of pride to the person.

Special Equipment[]

  • Bestial Companions - The Azure Ravens go into combat with cyborg Ravens and treat the Raven as a religious icon. Being the Chapter's beastial icon as well, the Ravens feel they have a strong connection to the animal. They have a couple of rooms in their Chapter Monestary and ships to breed and augment Ravens. Every Astartes has 1 Raven companion with them and go into battle with. While Chapter Company commanders can have 4-6 they command in battle. 1st Company Ravens have a squad that is dedicated to controlling a large flock of Ravens in battle. These Ravens that the chapter uses are just a few variants. There are some that can carry ammo and there are a few rare sightings of the Azure Ravens actually riding ravens into combat.

Chapter Appearance[]

Chapter Colours[]

Like their progenitors, the Azure Ravens are adherents of the Codex Astartes. Their armour is primarily blue with black or grey insets. Officers wear a dark purple coloured right inset to designate their command status. The backpack, helmet, both poleyns (knee guards), sabatons (boot armour) are black in colour. Shoulder pauldron trim, both sabaton soles and Aquila or Imperialis worn on the plastron are gold in colour. All battle-brothers of this Chapter wear dark purple longitudal crests made of horse hair upon their helmets, while senior commanders wear horizontal crests. A large white coloured squad specialist symbol stenciled on the right shoulder pauldron indicates a battle-brother's assigned specialty (Fire Support, Close Support, Battleline, Veteran or Command). A small white coloured Roman numeral stenciled on the right inset indicates a battle-brother's assigned squad, while a larger Roman numeral stenciled on the left poleyn indicates company assignment.

Chapter Badge[]

The Azure Ravens Chapter badge takes the form of a stylised blue colour raven head, facing forward towards the enemy, centered within an open-faced gold coloured circlet and centered upon a field of black.

Relations[]

Allies[]

Other Astartes[]

  • Celestial Ravens - The Celestial Ravens is an all Primaris Marine Chapter. The Celestial Ravens maintained close friendly ties and the Azure Ravens. They usually come to each others aid when possible, The Celestials usually fight Chaos near the galactic divide somewhere outside of the Kasva Sector.

Astra Militarum[]

  • Cadian 242nd Regiment ("Kyners Fighters") - The Azure Ravens met the 242nd and the rest of battlegroup Epsilon during one of the many sieges of Moanus. The Tau were on the verge of pushing the Imperial forces back to the capital of the agri world. The Chapter came to the rescue of the group. Lord General Alysha Kyner, has personally assisted with helping the Chapter get associated with the subsector that is in Sector Kasva.

Sisters of Battle[]

  • Order of the Azur Sky - Azur Sky was originally going to be have a different name as they were going to be formed on a new Cardinal world in one of the other Sub-sectors of Kasva. The small group of Sisters and priests that were scouting locations to set up the main Cathedral on the world when an Ork invasion happened from a small waagh. The ships Raven Destiny and it's escorts arrived in over the planet and called in Battlefleet Kasva for backup. Azur Raven's landed their 2nd, 3rd, and 6th Companies, while part of the 9th Company provided close air support and intercepting missions. When the Sisters saw the Angels of Death pierce through the clouds to reveal, as the sisters said: "The Azur Sky is open!" The action of arriving to save the planet and the Sister group, has put them in the Azure Raven's debt. In honor of the Raven's they took Azur instead of Azure. Also for the fact that the sky opening had "blessed" them to keep on fighting.

Aldari[]

  • Craftworld Art'kesh - Art'Kesh is an ally and enemy of the Azure Ravens. Being Xenos, the Ravens will not hesitate to kill. Although there have been times where the Craftworld has helped the Ravens in their hunt on the Star Cobras. The two group do join together when ever Tyranids enter the sector. Combining arms to screw over the Tyranids adaptability. The Ravens and Art'Kesh usually have a non-aggression pact when an important event happens. Usually when Chaos and Tyranids are involved.

Inquisition[]

  • Inquisitor Maximus - A "friendly" Inquisitor. Part of the Ordo Xenos. Maximus turns a blind eye on occasion as he has received artifacts that the Ravens have found and occasionally saved from Tyranid incursions. Max does not trust the Chapter fully, but also does not view them in total suspicion as he has other jobs he needs to that do not involve hunting down evidence of the Chapter. Although he has heard rumors of a Raven and Aldari alliance, Maximus was unable to find anything solid besides the two teaming together to kill a Greater Daemon and then immediately kill each other.

Rogue Trader[]

  • House Paruta - The old Rogue Trader family of Paruta has helped out the Space Marines and fellow Imperials in the sector by scouting Tau worlds and trading with them. Usually warns Sector Kasva when an attack from the Tau is planned.

Questor Imperialis[]

  • House Ironfang - House Ironfang are natives to Subsector Parasus. An Imperial knight house that has helped fend off Eldar and Tau titans with their own. During the Plague wars, House Ironfang managed to transport six of their knights from Mathea to Kubrerth. This force greatly help take the pressure off of the Raven's Fortress Monastery.

Adeptus Mechanicus[]

  • Forge World Stravastea - Stravastea was the main supplier of the Ravens when they were being formed during the 25th founding. Stravastea also trains all of the Techmarines for the Chapter. Azure Ravens had a strong connection to Stavastea because of Tech Priest Jazmine. With all the work she had done for the Chapter. Ever since her death, relations have lessened a bit. The Ravens still go to the forge world for needed supplies, deliver STCs that the Ravens find, and for their future Techmarines to get trained there.

Navigator House[]

  • House Nazzal - House Nazzal Provides all of the navigators to the Azure Ravens Chapter since Nazzal has control over Kasva.

Enemies[]

Chaos[]

  • Slaanesh - The main Daemon rival of the Ravens. Slaanesh has sent Daemons and Chaos marines into Kasva on a consistence basis. The reason for this, is so Slaanesh can retrieve the orb that the Ravens were in the process of finding all the pieces and locking them away.
  • Tzeentch - Tzeentch is the big bad out for the Azure Ravens. Before the Ravens were founded, Tzeentch converted Tech Priestess Jazmine to worship him and work for his side. Convincing her with power and the chance for revenge against the Xenos. Jazmine was to convert the whole Chapter to her and to Tzeentch. This would eventually fail, but after Jazmine's death. Tzeentch gave her all of the Azure Ravens that have fallen in battle and any Raven that will fall in battle. The Chaos Space Marine Chapter would be called Brotherhood of the Sacred Mother. Where similar to how Slaanesh has a hold on the Eldar, Jazmine will receive more Marines as long as her influence over the Ravens stay.
  • Khorne - Khorne really hates the Ravens for all the deception they play even in their own Imperium. As much as the Ravens do straight fights, they always have to shift blame and do a lot of deception to keep the Inquisition off their trail. Khorne has converted a Star Cobra marine to his side, promising revenge on the Chapter. Khorne was blocked by Nurgles forces from getting to Kurbreth during the Plague Wars. Forcing Khorne to sit back and watch, waiting for his chance to fight the Chapter.
  • Nurgle - The Ravens fought Nurgles forces during the Plague Wars as they were just in the sphere of Nurgle's plan. They Nurgles forces for ruining worlds owned by them and other Chapters, but do not have the rivalry that they do with Khorne or Slaanesh.
  • Brotherhood of the Sacred Mother - A Chaos Warband that worships Tzeentch and Jazmine. Former Azure Ravens who were indoctrinated to protect Jazmine before they found out about her being a traitor. The Brotherhood gains a new Chaos Marine every time a Raven dies. The Warband want the total destruction of the Azure Raven Chapter and claim Kubrerth as their homeworld as it was their when they were Loyalists. Any Marine who has prayed to her coffin and indoctrinated to worship Jazmine, is under her influence. Now the Ravens do everything they can to break her spell.

Inquisition[]

  • Inquisitor Vitellius - Vitellius is a hated Inquisitor by the Chapter. The Main reason why is that Vitellius is usually assigned to investigate the Chapter when ever they are accused of crimes. The hatred between the two is mutual as the Ravens always deny every claim with a hint of anger and annoyance. While Vitellius gets very tired of having to investigate the Chapter. Along with him not being able to find the sufficient proof he needs to denounce the Chapter.

Adeptus Astartes[]

  • Star Cobras - A Rivalry that went beyond mere arguments. The Star Cobras and Azure Ravens had a very bloody rivalry. Both Chapters wanted honour and fame from battle and being praised by all around them. The rivalry started when the two Chapters were formed and put in sectors close by. Racing to save planets and get the fame from them. One battle suddenly kicked the rivalry into a more violent rivalry as the Cobras abandoned the Ravens in the middle of a battle. The result of this has lead the Ravens to sabotage the Cobra's at every turn they can get. This rivalry has lead to many controversial events for both Chapters. During the plague wars, The Raven's did not support the Cobras as their homeworld was under siege along with the Cobras. When Primaris marines got to the Cobras, the Chapter went missing and their monastery sacked.

Tau[]

  • Cal'sean Sept - The main enemy of the Azure Ravens. The whole reason for the Chapter's creation was to stand guard and protect Kasva against all intrusions of the Tau. Their focus heavily shifted to Chaos when the Plague wars came knocking in the Chapter's door. Those events have merely side tracked the Chapter and have given the Sept more time to prepare for an eventual Space Marine counter attack,
  • Kamoths - Just like any other Xenos race, the Azure Ravens are sent on exterminating this species.

Aldari[]

  • Craftworld Art'kesh - When the Ravens and Craftworld Art'kesh are not helping each other out. They do attack each other. Not the extant of full blown battles, but there are skirmishes so the Ravens can save face and make the Inquisition think they are not fully allied with the Aldari. This non aggression pact has helped Art'Kesh keep their numbers up and hold out. The Ravens have threatened the Craftworld to leave, but the Craftworld feels safer in Sector Kasva with the Ravens ironically. Even though they do fight each other on occasions.

Orks[]

Pretty self explanatory. Orks and they are meant to fight and die.

Necrons[]

Notable Quotes[]

By the Azure Ravens[]

" Space Hulk Unholy Judgement is a thing that I hope never returns. Tyranids, Chaos, Cultists, Orks. You name it. The place was infested with every enemy known to the Imperium. Imperial Guardsmen trapped and tortured, killed in vicious ways. Fellow Marines cut down with armor torn to mere scraps. Empty shells. "
— Apothecary Venatus
" "
— Brothers praying in the tomb

About the Azure Ravens[]

" In all of my time as an Inquisitor, I have never investigated such a strange chapter like the Azure Ravens. They are really suspicious but every accusation that is pointed at them always lacks sufficient proof."
— Inquisitor Vitellius. After action report

Controversies[]

Here are some of the Controversies that plague the Chapter.

  • Azure Ravens and Star Cobra Rivalry - Chapters going at each others throat for Glory and to kill each other for rivalry issues.
  • Hunt for the Orb
  • Working with Xenos - Accused of working with an Eldar Craftworld in the Sector
  • Over Strength - Accused of going over the Astartes Mandated 1,000 Battle Brothers
  • Heretical Worshipping - Accused of worshipping other people and figures other than the Emperor or their Primarch.

Trivia[]

  • The original name of the Chapter before choosing Azure Ravens was the Blue Eagles.
  • The relationship between the Ravens and Jazmine has changed a lot. Over the course of editing the Ravens.
