Tech-Priest Construction This article, Anban-F05, is currently under active construction. The author, Wolf Lord Vidar, apologizes for the inconvenience.

Anban-F05 is a civilized class planet, the majority of its populace seems to be in what is similar to the Italian Renaissance of ancient Terra during the mid 1st Millennium. Anban-F05 is the only planet within the Latiri System that is within its stars habitable zone, originally being what is known as a marginal planet, giving its only continent a flurry of healthy plant life. Half of the planet is coating in a constant state of frost, and its only continent takes only a tenth of the planets total surface. Unusual of the planet, though is its lack of any moons, making the long nights particularly dark and cold.

Because of its favourable terrain and location within the Latiri Star System, Anban-F05 is the Systems capital planet and its massive city of Ironhaven is a proud example of Imperial Glory, being the only city with current Imperial Tech. Covered in wealth and riches, some of the sectors greatest artists are born out of its mighty walls.

History[]

The Sickening (M31)[]

When the Emperor's holy great crusade swept through the galaxy reclaiming lost human worlds into his new Imperium, and it was upon this Great Crusade that the legions of the Emperor came upon Anban. Initial scans of the planet showed a world filled with green life, and plenty of human made civilizations and buildings. But to the dismay of the Imperium the planet was found with little to no human life, and those who still lived were plagued with a foul disease. The disease could spread rapidly, through only mere skin contact, and it would slowly rot the hosts body from the outside, slowly and painfully killing the host. This disease was known to the populace as Neroscat, or the black rot.

The Disease had already firmly grasped the planet, and even with the Imperium's resources such a planet could not be healed, and so the decision to virus bomb the planet till all human life was eradicated was accepted. Several decades after the initial bombing the planet was shipped new settlers from local feudal worlds to refuel the lives that once lived on the planet.

Age of Art (M31-M41)[]

With new life blown into the soil of Anban its once great cities were filled with trade, and alongside this trade another new resource would be founded. This new resource would in the form of beautiful art master pieces of all shapes, forms, and sizes, from the delicate work of a sculpture to the tear jerking work of a painter. It was this amazing development into the arts that would allow the planet to prosper and flourish even in a Imperium that restricts them from advancing the dark ages/

These works of art would not only attract many highborn and high ranking officials in the Friorhol Sector (such as Planetary Governors), but also the hordes of the Ecclesiarchy who would spend lavishly on thousands of artists to craft the ever amazing churches to the God-Emperor of mankind. With this immense wealth Anban's Planetary Governor would be able to keep the systems other poor planets into a constant state of debt, where in return for wealth, they demanded resources, which would create a unique and intricate trade line not only within the system, but also to its neighbors, and it would be with these traded resources that Anban would pay its tithe to the God-Emperor.

Return of the Plague (M42)[]

It was a dark day when Abaddon the Despoiler did what he had sworn so many millennia ago and ripped Cadia in half, in doing so creating the largest warp storm ever, which is know simply known as the Great Rift. In doing so he had thrown half of the Imperium into chaos, cut off from the holy light of terra and the path of the God Emperor. This ravaged the populace of this know Imperium Nihilus and cut many off from the once semi-stable warp routes that had connected them, and as these once trustful paths shut its gates, Anban suffered dearly. Without the complex trade network it had once known the planet's once reliable connections to out of world resources ceased to exist, and even worse, its connection to the Astra Militarum had been damaged.

Crumbled under the weight of blow after blow, the planet exploded into civil war, only for the worst of the blights to rear its evil head. The Neroscat had resurfaced from its 10 millennia rest, and ravaged the people of the planet, throwing them ever deeper into chaos. The once mighty city of Ferroporto closed its mighty gates, and the Adeptus Sororitas of the planet tended to all they could, even having their own numbers depleted by the disease. And out of the darkest pits of the planet, a chaos cult brewed and stewed within its own filth, accepting the embrace of the Neroscat and the Chaos God Nurgle, swearing allegiance, spreading the foul disease upon all that dare come across them.

It wouldn't be until the Friorhol Crusade made a spearhead on the planet that the Emperor's hope would shine once again. Though unlike the last time the Neroscat had crept its head and destroyed the planets population, Virus Bombing the planet wouldn't be a option. The Imperium had already been stretched to its limits, and repopulating such a world would be to much of a task. And so it was decided, under the leadership of Aesgir Icehowl that the planet would be brought back into imperial compliance, and the disease would be forcibly burned out of every soul that it had come into contact with. This would be the start of the Latiri Campaign.

Planetary Info[]

Time[]

Life on Anban is quick, with the planet making a full rotation every 11 Terran Hours. Only 3 of these hours are night, with almost a full 8 hours of daylight. Because of the planet's short days, the populace as adapted to sleep in short 3 hour bursts. It is this weird quirk that makes the planets Astra Militarum regiments seem like a never tired force.

Surface[]

Over half of the planet of Anban is covered in thick permafrost or is a dessert of frozen glaciers. For the surface of the planet that isn't covered in frost, only a tenth is solid land on which humans are able to build upon. Though due to this, and the thick atmosphere of the planet the soil upon this small strip of land is extremely fertile.

Temperature[]

On an average day, Anban's Temperature is around 4 Celsius (40 Fahrenheit), with cold days being around -16 Celsius (3 Fahrenheit), and a hot day is around 24 Celsius (75 Fahrenheit) though this Temperature drops in the winter months.

Minerals and Natural Resources[]

Beneath the surface of Anban are rich and wealthy reservoirs of minerals, while many of the most common minerals are collected by the simple people of the planet. The most wealthy and exotic are captured by the extensive mining operations of the Planetary Governor.

Atmosphere[]

Anban is a rich planet with a oxygen heavy atmosphere that is nearly twice as thick as that found on earth. Because of this visitors to the planet are told to take in slow and deep breaths, as breathing too heavy or too fast could lead to problems, and in some causes even suffocation.

The Five Great Houses[]

Much of Anbans culture is tied to one's wealth and his standing in the world. Because of this, the most wealthy merchant families are able to buy strongholds and eventually even cities of their own to develop goods. The greatest and largest of these merchant families may even one day gain claim to a state, a large piece of land that encompasses the cities and towns of other merchant families, making them pay tributes and taxes to the owning family. Even stronger then these merchant families are those of the 5 Great Houses that watch over and demand taxes from all the states that fall under their control.

Because land is scarce upon Anban is it common for the Great Houses to raise makeshift armies and invade the towns and states of other Great Houses. The five Great Houses of Anban are as follows:

House of Codrago[]

Dragontail

Family Symbol of the House of Codrago.

The Great House of Codrago is famed for its love in the arts of war, who's hired army is nearly twice the size of all its rivals. The militaristic lifestyle of the people under the Codrago's control makes for fine mercenaries, and even its lowly farmers know the basics of war and are able to defend themselves in cases of invasion. The standard village of these people is heavily fortified by large wooden walls and spot towers. The House of Codrago gains many of its resources through conquering neighboring territories or by renting their well-trained mercenaries to the other five kingdoms.

  • Population: The number of people under the House of Codrago's control is ~189,000,000

Kingdom of the Donineri[]

The Black Hallow

Family Symbol of the House of Donineri.

Also known as the holy house, the land under the House of Donineri's control is one of peace and fortune. One were even the poorest farmer has enough food to feed his family, among the people of the black hallows charity and sacrifice is held above all else. This idea of virtue has always had a place within the Houses heart as in the start the house was poor and small, using its great charity to gain the favor of the populace and eventually the overthrowing of the lands old Great House. Though during this time much of their lands were stolen from them.

Though the Donineri's army may be small when compared to its brother, its army includes a holy title that the warriors from all across Anban inspire to gain. Upon coming to the lands of Donineri and proving there worth to the civilians of its land they are granted the title of Paladin. Paladins are believed to be the chosen warriors of the God-Emperor that are born for greatness and are usually granted access to the planets Astra Militarum training grounds to become high ranking officers.

  • Population: The number of people under the House of Donineri control is ~232,000,000

Kingdom of Lupapino[]

Wolfpine

Family Symbol of the House of Lupapino.

The people under the control of the Lupapino's are known to the others as savages. Hailing from the north, these barbaric clans of warriors are born on the ice and live as nomadic sailors. The most savage of the kingdom's traditions though has to be the consuming of flesh, which they believe will grant them the power to raise a dozen settlements. Not much is known of the Lupapino's homeland, as they have never been invaded, the snapping cold of the north is enough to warrant away any invaders.

To those who are born to the north though, its savage and barren lands are prime training grounds, and for the people of the Lupapino are known to be much larger and stalkier then the average human

  • Population: The number of people under the House of Lupapino control is ~196,000,000

House of Legnapino[]

Woodpine

Family Symbol of the House of Legnapino.

The smallest of the Great Houses lands. The people under the command of the Legnapino's do not seek to take land for themselves but instead to protect the natural forces they believe that give them powers. These people live deep within the boreal forests of Anban, which makes their settlements almost impossible for enemies to find. But once found it's not rare for the other Great Houses to hire them to make ambushes along with their rivals supply lines.

Due to the House's secretive nature they have almost completely gone under the eye of the Inquisition and their Black Ships and so the few psykers that are born to them stay and become able shamans. The people of the Legnapino believe these psykers are a gift from the God-Emperor for protecting the forests of Anban and are to be used to stop anyone who attempts to destroy them.

  • Population: The number of people under the House of Legnapino control is ~86,000,000

House of Carnaiale[]

Rotherham

Family Symbol of the House of Carnaiale.

The House of Carnaiale only cares about one thing, wealth. The common citizen of Rotherham is little more than a slave, while the rich are fat and plum. Much of the land that is under the control of the House has been turned into massive farms to feed their lords never-ending hunger. If a farmer isn't able to produce his tithe to the House then they are chained and forced to walk to the Houses capital city, where they are beaten to death as a show for the Houses amusement.

  • Population: The number of people under the House of Carnaiale control ~264,000,000

Ferroporto[]

Ironhaven

The mighty city of Ferroporto, jewel of the Latiri System.

The Capital city of Anban and the Latiri System, Ferroporto is the only site of true imperial tech that can be found upon the planet. Dazzling towers of stonework intermingled with the cold steel of the imperium are scattered across the city. Because of its immense size, Ferroporto is classed as a Proto-Hive City to many within the Adeptus Administratum. Though even with its massive size Ferroporto is still able to sustain farms within close proximity of the city, though even with these farms the city still requires the resources of the Great Houses to feed its many residents.

Though from the outside Ferroporto may seem like a metropolis of the Imperium, being covered in the finest works of the arts underneath its shallow mask is that of the underhive. Residing under the glorious city is a massive underground hive that constantly digs deeper and into the planet mining all the resources to feed the massive forges of the city.

  • Population: The population of just the city of Ferroporto is 1,710,000,000

Places of interest[]

  • Ampiobaia Citedal: Home to the System Governer Steaphan McCormick, and his underling the Planetary Governer Predrag Pavlović. This massive castle-like building is a true piece of imperium architecture, which thousands of artists making beautiful carvings on its walls or painting masterpiece paintings.
  • Precinct Fortress Skysword: Controlled by Marshal Frazier Stewart, Precinct Fortress Skysword is the primary base of operations of all Adeptus Arbites on Anban, though a Precinct is installed within each of the five Great Houses capital cities. Precinct Fortress Skysword is a massive building, towering over even Ampiobaia Citadel. This fortress does not only hold the most dangerous criminal of Anban but also the most dangerous criminals of the entire Latiri system, some rumors even say that captured Pirate captains are held deep within its dungeons.
  • Sanctuary of Knowledge: The Sanctuary of Knowledge is the largest monastery found within the Latiri system and so is the home of Cardinal Vassilis Megalos. The monastery also acts as an Commandry for the systems Adeptus Sororitas Orders.
  • Parete Ossidiana: Commonly called the Obsidian Wall by the tourists of the planet, this massive facility is where the planet trains its Planetary Defense Force Regiments in the basic arts of war, and where troops are further trained into the Astra Militarum.

Culture[]

Classes[]

Like much of the Imperium Anban sticks to harsh and strick form of classes among its populace. This class system like many of the imperium others is based around one's wealth, with those who have more wealth have more power.

Signode- The highest class found on Anban, the Signode are those who have had the luxury of being born into one of the Great Five Houses. Though unlike the Grandera who are in control of the states the Signode enjoys a life of almost complete luxury, except for when they must raise a blade against a revolt. Though even in battle it is rare to see a Signode even in the background planning strategies, instead the Signode prefers to sit and watch battles from afar, as a show of entertainment.

Grandera- The Grandera own huge plots of land known as states, within these states sits many cities and villages owned by the Sindarezza. It is the job of the Grandera to enforce the tributes of the lower classes within their states. It is also the job of the Grandera to raise armies in times of war, many of whom take to the battlefield on the front lines seeking glory as commanders.

Sindarezza- The Sindarezza own larger estates, from small towns and hamlets to cities full of Umonetile families running many different trades and businesses. Unlike the Umonetile who have no political power, the Sindarezza have complete control over their estates as long as they pay tributes to their Great House.

Umonetile- The Umonetile are those who's family has worked hard for many generations to gain small estates of land, these lands are usually farms though some of the Umonetile families have been known to even own large homesteads.

Schilavora- The lowest class of people found upon Anban, the Schilavora are the labors of the planet. The Schilavora worker for the many merchant families found on the planet, usually working within their farms or as the heavy-handed laborers. Many of the Schilavora are poor and can barely sustain their families, which leads to many of them joining the Planetary Defense Force or a local mercenary gang to pull in extra money.

Politics[]

It is no secret on Anban that wealth leads to power, and such policy even seeps into the very towns and cities that dot the planets surface. Instead of having formal mayors or leaders each town is led by the most wealthy family, who with their wealth has the power to press their demands on all below them. Though in truth, all the cities of Anban are dual owned, with the most wealthy person of town or city acting as leader, while a family member of one of the Great Houses act as a true leader, being able to over throw any rule that the town or cities leader has placed.

Clothing[]

Anban-Clothing

Example apparel of a man from Anban

While the common farmer or laborer of the planet may wear basic rags or clothing the elite, those who were born into merchant families are instead draped with wonderful clothes. For men usually include long loose clothes with accessories such as capes, included with equally loose hats, while the women are draped in wonderous dresses.

Religion[]

Because of millennia of trading artists with the Ecclesiarchy art and religion have come together into unison. The many artistic works and the walls of temples are covered in arts detailing the many deeds the God-Emperor and his servants have accomplished, each a testimony to the greatness of Mankind. It has almost become taboo on the planet to make art for ones personal pleasure and not appraising humanity, even heresy if such ever depicts humanity in a bad way.

Mining and Resources[]

After the planet was subjected to a planetary virus bombing when met by the imperium, much if not the majority of all lifeforms of the planet ceased to exist. Because of this, when the new settlers of the planet were dropped off they were given many seeds and lifeforms from other planets to help them survive. For those natural resources such as minerals and gemstones that were able to survive the virus bombs, these would be either mined by the basic tools of the populace, or by the more modern imperium tech found on the planets capital, were such materials are melted down and used to fuel the planets Astra Militarum tithes.

Planetary Defenses[]

Anban is protected by two layers of Planetary Defense Forces, first and the primary is that of the army funded by the Planetary Governor, the second those raised and trained by great houses and their many states.

Recruitment[]

Once every 5 years several searching parties sent out of Ferroporto are tasked with surveying the many mercenary guilds of Anban in search of those who they can recruit into the planets PDF; as well the families who are lucky enough to live within Ferroporto are also tasked with giving over at least one child per family to help fuel themselves. After all the recruits are gathered up they are given rudimentary lessons on how the lasgun works, and basic squad training.

Organization[]

Much like the Great Houses mercenary companies, the PDF of Anban are split into 14 different regiments which are privately funded by the Planetary Governor. These regiments usually contain around 20,000 PDF each, with around half of the regiment being known as veterans for their many years of service, and a the other half being treated as new recruits still being taught.

Equipment[]

The PDF of Anban are given lasguns from the planetary reserve which have for one reason or another been denied access for use in the Astra Militarum, but still functional. These lasguns could have a variety of problems from loose hand grips, to weak power sources. To protect the PDF they are given simple a simple steel breast plate and shin guards, while this armour would probe extremely ineffective to most of the threats in the imperium, it works to protect themselves from the primitive weapons of the planet.

Imperial Navy Outposts[]

Outside of Ironhaven, the only signs of true Imperial Tech are those found within the various Imperial Navy Outposts Scattered across Anban. These outposts are as follows:

  • Crepuscolo Frontiera Airbase: The Crepuscolo Frontiera Airbase is the primary supplier of the planets air defenses. Filled with multiple squads of Lighting Attack Vehicles the small but hopeful souls of this airbase dream of the day they can fly their mighty vessels in the name of the God-Emperor.
  • Imperatore Disguardo: Known as the "Emperor's Gaze" in high gothic, this massive facility holds a large array of laser defenses to help in defending the planet from invading starships. Found within the heart of the Ampiobaia Citadel, its massive laser is encased with thick glass to not only allow it free access to the sky but to also act as the primary attraction within the Citadel.
  • Forza di Anban: The Forza di Anban is a secret laser silo hidden deep within the dense forests of Anban. Simply put, Forza di Anban is the planets local low gothic for Might of Anban and true to its name this silo is a testament of not only the planets glory but also that of the Imperium. Covered in luxurious gold plates and master piece engravings, its a sad sight that this majestic piece of imperial equipment is hidden. Though that hasn't stop multiple tourists to the planet from attempting to find it just to bask in its glory, just to be quickly threatened with death by the combined forces of the Imperial Navy and Tech Priests that guard it.
  • Ritiro Dei Mercanti (Destroyed): The Ritiro Dei Mercanti was once a mighty space station that lived above the atmosphere of Latiri. The space station was the mustering point for the many trade ships between Latiri and its neighboring planets, and where goods would be transferred to landers and brought down to the planets surface. This space station would be destroyed during the Latiri Campaign, after a raid made by the Black Cult successfully implanted the Neroscat virus aboard, with the purpose of launching the virus further into imperial space.

Private Armies of the Great Houses[]

To defend their lands and their most precious resources the Great Houses use their immense wealth to raise great and mighty armies. Though without the use of the great forges and factories of Ferroporto the private armies are left with nothing but the local tech. This tech comes most commonly in the form of ancient arquebus's, crossbows, and even swords and shields. The armor of these private armies also varies from simple leather pads to full metal chest plates.

Unlike the Planetary Defense Force that has less than a percent of the planet's population in its numbers due to various physical and mental requirements, the private armies have no such restriction and so 5% of the planet's population works as full-time mercenaries. The jobs of these mercenaries are to watch over the farms and towns across the many states that fall under the Great Houses command. The size of these massive mercenary armies are as so:

  • House of Codrago: Because of the highly militarized nature of the lands under the House of Codrago's command over 10% of the population sits and waits in the Great Houses many mercenary guilds. It's estimated that over 18,900,000 mercenaries fall under the Codrago banner.
  • House of the Donineri: The House of Donineri raises what they call as the "Holy Army of the Emperor". Though the Kingdom doesn't raise a huge army, it does when it calls for one of its holy crusades. Unknown to the other great houses is that upon becoming a Paladin one must swear true loyalty to not just the Emperor but also the lands of Donineri. Because of this, it's not uncommon to see hundreds of warriors from across Anban to join the ranks of the Donineri army, either they are Paladins or aspirants hoping for the chance to become on. Currently, it's estimated that the House of Donineri has 6,960,000 mercenaries awaiting the next holy crusade
  • House of Lupapino:The barbaric savages of the House of Lupapino raise armies of raider clans. These clans operate separately of the primary kingdom and are trusted to hunt down and raid supplies for the kingdom. Unlike the other Great Houses though, the people of the House of Lupapino are not allowed to enlist in the planetary defense forces or the Astra Militarum in fear of backstabbing once in the city of Ironhaven. The clans of Lupapino have around 9,800,000 raider mercenaries under their command.
  • House of Legnapino: Though a hassle to the other Great Houses when they attempt to clear cut the many forests of Anban, the House of Legnapino actually does raise an army to protect their cities. Though this army is split across the entirety of Anban, just like its many cities. The House of Legnapino currently has around 4,300,000 mercenaries under their command.
  • House of Carnaiale: The armies of the House of Carnaiale is built on the backs of thousands of slaves. These armies are even less equipped than the other kingdoms, using mass hordes of people instead of well-trained professional soldiers. Under the House of Carnaiales wing sits around 13,200,000 "mercenaries".

Law Enforcement & Riot Control[]

Like every imperial planet, the Adeptus Arbites make sure that the imperial citizens keep to the imperial law, and when such laws are broken, deal swift justice. On the planet's capital city of Ironhaven is the Precinct Fortress Skysword in which is the Adeptus Arbite's primary headquarters on the planet, though a number of miniature precincts are scattered around on the planet in the most populated cities. The total amount of Arbites on Anban-F05 is:

  • Marshal Frazier Stewart
  • 265 Judges
  • 67,000 Proctors
  • 160,000 Intelligencer
  • 268,000 Arbitors
  • 80,500 Cyber Mastiff Handlers
  • 321,700 Arbitor Detectives
  • 2,680 Chaplains
  • Various Vehicles
Adeptus Arbites

Standard uniform of an Anban-F05 Arbites.

Unique to Anban-F05 is the somewhat bizarre uniforms of the Adeptus Arbites. To help the Adeptus Arbites blend into the common populace of Anban-F05 have adopted a unique look when compared to their other planet brothers. Though the appearance may be different the armor adopted by these Arbites is made of pure Plasteel and has been specially designed by Marshal Frazier Stewart to have the upmost maneuverability, making it as agile as standard guardsmen uniforms. Even the standard shock maul of the standard Adeptus Arbites has been changed, instead of being more of a shock blade that instead of inflicting massive damage sends mass shocks of energy that shutdown muscles one that blade makes its way through the human flesh. This blade was also adopted because of the high amount of military personal, who would usually wear amour that could resit the regular shock mauls.

Astra Militarum Regiments[]

Recruitment[]

Just like how the recruitment of the planets planetary defense force is renewed every 5 years so is the tithe for Astra Militarum regiments from Anban-F05. The planets tithe of Astra Militarum is a simple one of at least one quarter of the planets total planetary defense force. Unlike the planetary defense force, who will accept and train any able bodied person into their ranks, the Astra Militarum holds higher standards which are heavily upheld. One of these restrictions, one placed upon themselves is to only send young men around the age of 18 terran years to the ages of 25 terran years. The idea behind this being these men will be easier to drill and doctrine and would have stronger bodies that could sustain themselves more easily in distance foreign worlds.

Ranks[]

Medals of Honor[]

Anban Arcadia Line Infantry[]

Anban Arcadia Guardsman

Standard Uniform of the Anban Arcadia Line Infantry

The simplest and most common of Anbans regiments are those of the Anban Arcadia Line Infantry. Unlike Anbans other regiments who are made from those who joined the planets planetary defense force and eventually the planets Astra Militarum training programs, the regiments of the Arcadia are from the planetary guardsmen who don't seek further training or weren't able to due to tithe demands. Because of this, the guardsmen of the Arcadia have barely and training, making them perfect for the role of a Line Infantry Regiment.

Unlike other planets whose planetary defense forces may not know of the greater Imperium, this knowledge is a well-known fact to them and is seen as a great honor to leave the planet and fight for the greater imperium. Even though the Planetary Defense Force is only trained to carry the Flintlock guns of their planets they are quickly trained through a rigorous month-long training regime before the planets tithe. By the end of this harsh and rigorous training these guardsmen become familiar with their personal Anban-Pattern Lasgun, and some even take to customizing it with various decorations.

Out of all the planet's traditions, the one that seeps through the most is that of the arts. It is not uncommon that after a battle or during a long campaign for members of the regiment to paint masterful pieces of art. The most common of these are portraits of battlefields which are then sold to the greater Imperium, the smartest of the regiments guardsmen will paint portraits of high ranking officials such as Commissar upon the battlefield battling in the name of the imperium in hopes of gaining their favor. Because of this tradition it's not uncommon to find masterpieces of art and portraits filling the room of Commissars and high ranking officials.

Standard Guardsmen Equipment: One Uniform, set of poor weather gear, one Anban-Pattern Lasgun, six charge packs, one suit of Anban-Pattern flak armour, two frag grenades, two krak grenades, knife, rusksack, set of basic tools, mess kit, water canteen, blanket, sleep bag, rechargeable lamp pack, grooming kit, set of tags, primer, two weeks of combat sustenance rations, Anban-Pattern laspistol

Favoured Weapons: Plasma Gun, Plasma Cannon

Unique Patterns[]

Anban-Pattern Lasgun

Anban-Pattern Lasgun

Anban-Pattern Lasgun: Commonly used by the Anban Arcadia this pattern of lasgun was designed to be built rapidly upon request and so that even if its original guardsmen is MIA the lasgun can be passed onto new guardsmen. Doing so the Lasgun was reinforced with the lighter and studier materials found on Anban, making it dense enough that if a guard chooses he could use it as melee club while making it weight only 2kg.

Doing so required removing and replacing parts of the lasguns inner components, one of the most notable changes to the lasgun was its inner cooling systems. In order to reinforce this part of the weapon many changes had to be made, which has caused the weapon to be known for exploding in guardsmen's hands if overused in combat. Due to using cheap and even recycled focusing crystals these lasguns also have a small effective range, as the beam starts to lose focus once it reaches around 100 meters.

Anban-Pattern Lascarbine

Anban-Pattern Lascarbine

Anban-Pattern Lascarbine: The Anban-Pattern Lascarbine was made with the purpose of reducing the time it took to reload so that the weapon could unleash volleys of fire without breaking. A side effect of adding this new quick ejecting power pack was the immense amount of recoil the weapon gained, making it inefficient to fire for long periods of time if accuracy was needed. To counteract this small problem, the Anban-Pattern Lascarbine also features an extra forwards grip that lowers the weapons extreme recoil, at the cost of making it awkward to fire from anywhere besides the hip.
