"Our duty to the emperor, and our lives for the Hurian people."
— Oath of the 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force

The 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force is perhaps the most famous regiment raised from Huria. They were the first unit ever raised from the planet, they were the first to take revenge against the Genestealer menace and exterminate the Nemesis from the lost homeworld of Garica. They were the spearhead of the Reclamation Crusade, the first to be sent into the Wars of Expansion, and the first to burn their old home to deny their ancient rivals of what they craved, out of pure spite.

Time and time again, the 1st arose to end the lives of the enemies of man, and time and time again have they claimed new trophies from their bloody conquests. Their revered standard, gifted to them by saint Arpad himself, The Banner of Wrath boasts dozens of such prized items, many taken from the final members of xeno species they had put to the sword. They are the pride of Huria, they have bathed their blades in the hearts of untold tens of thousands of foes, and they shall not halt until they have planted the sacred Aquila upon the very edge of the galaxy.

History[]

The 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force hails from the planet Huria. The planet is very rich in raw materials, but it is very inhospitable to human life, possessing a very thin atmosphere that forces inhabitants to wear rebreathers. The surface is covered in dark red sand, with the only sources of water located beneath the surface. The inhabitants of the planet live in underground cities in order to hide from meteor showers that pass through the atmosphere unscathed.

The Hurians haven't always live on this planet however. Once, they lived on the planet of Garissa, a temperate planet incredibly well-suited for human life. Primarily focusing on agriculture, the planet didn't possess a very strong Planetary Defence Force (PDF). This they later came to regret however, for a Genestealer Cult was growing on the planet. After preparing for decades, the Genestealer Cult began an uprising, taking the PDF by surprise.

Most members were killed at the very beginning of the uprising, and the handful that survived were pushed back to their last base. Seeing the situation as hopeless, the commander ordered an immediate planetary evacuation. The civilians were the first to leave, and the remnants of the PDF were the last, holding back the hordes right up until the very end. The evacuation ships were not capable of interstellar travel, so they headed for the planet of Huria that was located in the same star system. At the time, the planet only had a small mining colony on it, alongside a single manufactorum. The time they spent on this planet has been named “The Great Exile” in their history.

During this time the people first began working on building additional cities underground, and manufacturing the equipment to survive on the planet. Wearing a rebreather became a part of their culture, and most of the time they didn't take it off. After ensuring they could survive on the planet, and the arrival of their soon-to-be grand leader, Arpad, who was partially of Hurian blood and had come as a colonel of the Guard to assist, they began focusing on their military, so that they could reclaim their original world. From the remnants of the PDF that made it onto the evacuation ships, rose the 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force. For years and years, they prepared for war, and the hour of vengeance drew ever closer.

The day that they finally launched their ships marked the beginning of the Reclamation War. Using plans and information they brought with them onto the exodus ships, the 1st Hurians were easily able to take out military bases and quickly advance towards the capital. During nights, an elite commando force known as the Phantoms would parachute behind enemy lines and carry out sabotage missions and reconnaissance. These warriors came to haunt the reams and nightmares of the cult. It was by their hand that the Primus of the cult had fallen, which granted a significant edge to the merciless assault of the Hurian forces.

To remember the Great Exile, the soldiers of the 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force still wear the same dark red armour they wore while retaking the planet and wear helmets that are equipped with rebreathers.

Notable Engagements[]

  • The Defense of Huria 003.M42 - The gene-stealers defeat did not mean that they failed their task, for a Tyranid splinter fleet has detected the Brood mind. And unbeknownst to the Hurians, the great devourer drew ever closer. The Splinter fleet arrived in the system, first targeting Garissa. The fleet’s bio ships darkened the skies and the invasion began. The Hurians lost their world one, but they were determined to never give it up again. They waged a brutal campaign against the tyranids, burning down anything that the tyranids could devour. For this reason they created the Inferno division, nicknamed “Hell walkers”. Day and night the artillery would not stop firing Inferno shells, and there was no day where the guardsman were not fighting the endless horde of tyranids. This gruesome war lasted for months, and for every city the Hurians lost the tyranids would suffer greatly. Eventually a space marine chapter and a naval fleet arrived to aid them and they could execute the final battle of this war which was named: operation: Final hope. Where the Hurians lured the largest horde near the capital and to be not only be fought by the Expeditionary Force and the space marines but be baraged by the artillery in the city as well. With massive casualties they managed to defeat the horde, burning the entire area so that it could not be used by the tyranids again. While the ground battle raged on, the battle in space turned in favor of the imperial fleet. The Hurians may have won, but it was a bitter victory.
  • The Eria Offensive (006.M42) - The system of Eria, located on the border of imperial space and the Tau Empire is home to a single world, Eria prime. The T'au launched a campaign to capture the system, planning to use it as a forward base to expand even further. The campaign was led by commander Gled'bal and ethereal Kul'Ta. The PDF was easily crushed and the planet conquered, only small pockets of resistance of the PDF remained alongside with an unhappy population. However not yet known to the Tau was the liberation force was on its way and they were eager to spill some xenos blood, weeks before the 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force arrived multiple squads of phantoms were deployed to prepare the planet for the invasion. When the 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force arrived they attacked key military positions, important ammo and weapons caches were destroyed or captured, every city had human uprisings, all thanks to the Phantoms. The Tau were being overwhelmed. During the chaos the Phantom team deployed to the capital city decided to execute the final part of their plan, assassinating the leadership of the Tau. With most of the Tau trying to quell the uprising and fighting the Expeditionary Force they succeeded. With their leadership dead and most of their forces destroyed in the first day alone the remaining Tau were slaughtered, and the Hurians achieved a stunning success.
  • The Wars of Expansion (800.M40-current) - The Wars of Expansion are the combination of conflicts and military operations conducted by Imperial forces from the Hurian sub-sector. For the countless different foes they face, these wars remain unified in singular purpose, to expand the reach of the Imperium further, and the sub-sector by extension. Hurians in particular are especially relentless in this pursuit, for as their ancestors had once conquered the space that became the Karpat sector, they too shall carve out an even greater domain for mankind and the God-Emperor. Hundreds of regiments and untold millions of warriors have taken part, and as according to the ancient oath of their ancestory, these wars shall not stop until they reach the edge of the very galaxy mankind is destined to rule.
  • The fourth Tyranic War - "...Once more, the Beast returns. Once more it extends its tendrils towards our stars. And once more shall it be sent back into the void where it belongs. Take up arms once more, brothers and sisters in the Creed, for upon this day, the fires of righteous retribution burn bright again." - Lord Marshal Visari Metre, commander of Hurian sub-sector command, governor of Huria, at the onset of the Fourth Tyranic War

The Hurian war effort for the Imperium is without end. For over millenia, the sons of the crimson world have fought across the stars within the Imperium's armies, from the first wars of vengeance against the genestealer menace that stole their world from them, to the eternal Wars of Expansion that have been fought without end for centuries. Yet, from all this, the ancient memories of their original homeworld being taken over by genestealers, and half devoured by the great hunger of the Tyranid species remain perhaps the most vivid memories of the Hurian people. The Great Devourer was beaten back, at the grave cost of their original home of Garissa, as the Hurians rather burned their planet with bitter spite rather than to let the Tyranids feast.

The Hurians have hounded the Beast and Nemesis, as they refer to the Tyranid and Genestealer species that blight the galaxy, for entire generations. As a result, they have become their potent and ruthless exterminators, with their hatred remaining as strong as ever. When reports spoke of the Great Devourer returning once more, Hurian sub-sector command did not hesitate to use the news to stoke the strong fires of their people. Lord Marshal Visari Metre ordered for as many Hurian Expeditionary Force regiments to return from the ever expanding fronts of the Wars of Expansion as possible, so that they may join the new crusade. The regiments recalled are veteran troops, including the 4th Hurian Expeditionary Force, the gabled "Brazen Fists", whose armoured might spilled the end for a dozen alien worlds. The 11th and 55th, alongside their entire battlegroup have returned from their pursuit of an alien empire called the Hegemony after successfully breaking the xeno threat, although this hasty victory to ensure the timely return of the battlegroup came at a steep price. The revered 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force have returned from their tour of the Ravaged Worlds, a group of systems consumed by rebellion and strife, upon the very edge of the eastern portion of the Karpat sector. They, perhaps, have the greatest experience against the Tyranid menace, for they are the first Hurian regiment to ever have been raised, and having been warrior-saint Arpad's chosen regiment through his life. Three Hurian battlegroups have been organised into rank and sent towards the new Tyranid incursion, incorporating units from other worlds from Hurian sub-sector as a whole, including Carmile, Agripus and more.

Missions from the Sororitas and several Scion regiments have also been moved to the cause. Yet, the sizable military force is leaving out the current capital world of the Karpat sector, for they refused to raise men for the efforts, seizing this opportunity to gain more worlds under their influence instead, fueling the cold rivalry between the two worlds. The Guard efforts are lead by Lord Marshal Visari, a commander who had proven himself worthy of his family's martial reputation as the head of Hurian sub-sector command. The Scarlet Guard had sent a contingent of their elite Watchmen to ensure the safety of the leadership, bringing with them the elusive Master of the Watch Alexander who bears the relic, the Sword of Arpad. The mere presences of this relic and the Watch have only brought greater resolve to the already eager warriors, which has also brought the reformation of Hell-walker units, and has attracted a great deal of Hurian Truth-speakers, eager to record the glorious campaign so it may go down into the annals of history. This force, the likes of which hasn't been raised from the Karpat sector ever since saint Arpad walked amongst the living, has braved a direct rout though the void, narrowly passing through Cursed Splinter warpstorm, and many other obstacles in order to reach the projected arrival angle of the Tyranid hordes.

This risky approach has cost them ships and lives, but ultimately, has been worth the sacrifice, for their arrival is narrowly in time, and as the Hurian forces sally to meet their hated foe, they preach their battle prayers once more, to crush the Beast and take its many lives as trophies.

Some say the Lord Marshal seeks to attain sainthood himself by conducting such a noble war, but the common rank and file, in addition to the vast majority of the officer corps, remain steadfast in the belief that the Lord Marshal is doing this for the Imperium as a whole, rather than for any personal gain.

Regardless, the Hurians bring their righteous vengeance upon the Tyranid once again. Blood will be spilt, men will give their lives for the cause, and the fury of Huria will burn as bright as the stars themselves throughout the entirety of the Fourth Tyranic War.

Specialist Ranks[]

  • Hurian truth-speakers

The truth speakers are the eyes and ears of the Hurian people and their sub sector, responsible for recording. monitoring, and delivering the news on the countless war fronts. Often sworn to a commercia agency that deals in war news, an ever lucrative trade with such war-like people, or to the Imperial propaganda departments themselves, who oversee and ensure the validity and purity of the news broadcasts.

Truth-speakers operate within virtually every Hurian regiment and even some off world units, should they garner enough of a reputation. Typically attached to various squads, these men and women will follow their comrades through the blazing flames of battle and beyond, no matter what the odds may be.

Many say that Truth-speakers own their origins to the now lost order of Remembrancer, those who had braved the stars during the Great Crusade together with the Imperial Army the mighty Astartes legions.

The resemblance as vague, at best, however. Where the Remembrancers were little more than scholars, painters. archivists, the Truth-speakers record the battle both in the fray and outside of it. Hurians scarcely believe in the concept of letting someone on the front lines without them knowing how to fight and kill like a proper soldier. They are trained alongside Hurian guardsmen, financed by their respective commercia agency, who pay a tidy sum for their training, equipment, and their rights to record, directly to the Astra Millitarum. This equipment also includes several pict recorders and other devices, which they often attach to their helmets, armour, and their loyal servo skulls.

Regimental Equipment[]

  • The Mark-1 "Glory" las-gun

A local pattern, the Mark-1 "Glory" las-gun was designed with thin atmospheric conditions in mind, it is renowned for its close quarters capabilities within the Expeditionary Force, primarily produced on Huria, it's only supplied to its regiments. Its primary advantage is its ability to fire scores of las shots quickly with power settings tuned for close quarters fighting, although for longer ranges it is not the most effective of choices. It is designed to be compact, with a solid stock that assists with delivering good blows with a bayonet, which is often used in combination with it’s rapid firing capabilities, resulting in a common Hurian tactic where they hold down the trigger while jabbing at the enemy to brutalize their foe with both the bayonet and the beams. The default version of the gun comes with a close range scope and a built-in flashlight, alongside with a mono-edged bayonet.

Mark-1 Hurian "Glory" las-gun
  • Mark-4 "deliverance" Las-rifle

A las-rifle designed for marksmanship, the deliverance has earned its name by delivering death from afar with precision. The weapon is somewhat less compact than its more common las-gun brethren, with an extensive maintenance method, but its accuracy and unique ability to fire bolts invisible to the naked eye of humans make it a worthy trade off for Phantoms. This ability comes from the clear crystal focusing lenses which are etched and trimmed carefully, allowing for a narrower focus, which provides greater accuracy, while avoiding making any real color with the beam. This does come at the cost of overall power and the ability to rapid fire, as such an intense firing mode could crack the crystal in places.

This pattern is a rare sight, as once again, Phantoms use the vast majority of these guns. However, due to a need for funding, the manufactorum was given clearance to sell any excess stocks to carefully chosen buyers.

  • Vengeance pattern Las-Pistol

The preferred sidearm of the officers and grenadiers of the Expeditionary Force, it is a powerful pistol, capable of killing an average human, or pierce the carapace of a genestealer with a good shot. It is only capable of semi auto fire and can overheat if fired extensively.

Tactics and Doctrine[]

"Strike fast, without mercy, without warning, achieve victory before the foe may realize they have already lost."
—Introduction, The Method of Conquest by warrior-saint Arpad

The 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force serve as idols to a great deal of Expeditionary Forces. Under the command of warrior-saint Arpad they were the first to adopt the principles he dictated in his book, the Method of Conquest, which led to the key changes that truly amplified their fury and knack for relentless assaults. No real Hurian commander truly goes without this guide, which helps them adapt and overcome the strategies of their foes. A key change Arpad brought was the extension of  every Hurian squad to 12 men, each squad having a few additional specialists than what is standard on other worlds.

This introduced a dedicated soldier wielding a Hurian-pattern heavy stubber, a rocket launcher operative for anti-armour and an explosives expert who wields a shotgun typically, in addition to standard specialists such as medicaes, vox operators, sergeants and weapon specialists. This, and a number of other differences, makes Hurian forces a highly adaptive force, perfect for the shock and awe tactics they so greatly revere.

Notable Units[]

The Grenadier Battalions[]

The Phantoms[]

Unlike every other Hurian formation, Phantom units make no effort to distinguish themselves from each other. They are all alike, a faceless legion that stalks the night, further aiding in keeping their reputation. Phantoms work together with other Hurian forces, even when primarily isolated from interacting with them. They take tasks that few other Hurians willingly do, as they have little honour or glory. Secret acts of sabotage, the assassination of enemy commanders, important figures, and the disruption of enemy supplies are a part of their missions, alongside waging guerilla warfare should the need arise. They can thank most of their reputation for their brutal, precise assassinations and their frequent usage of tactics that aim to bring horror and disarray to the foe. These terror tactics feature ruthless attacks from the dark, leaving no survivors, except for perhaps one, who is forced to watch the slaughter of their comrades and their subsequent mutilation before the attackers vanish into the night. Phantoms leave a mark upon these “survivors” via specific cuts or wounds, which signal any of their hunters to spare them should they discover them and further mystify their name. The traumatized survivor is used as a tool to spread further terror and fear of the phantoms that haunt the night, and the more broken they are, the better they shall fit this objective. By the time any response is mounted, they are long gone and likely already planning their next attack.

Phantoms are said to fight with ferocity and deadliness akin to some vengeful spectre. No corpse of theirs was ever acquired by either any enemy or standard Hurian forces, not once do they ever speak of their own names, their conquests or victories. Some regard them as embodiments of dead spirits, returning into the fray within half corporeal forms. Other, more veteran guardsmen believe them to be mortals, guided by the dead, or once passed spirits taking up arms once more after being reborn. Such beliefs are ever common within Hurian culture, as birth marks such as that of the warrior’s mark indicate that the newborn had fought in a past life, and in their later years, they are said to live up to the expectations that come with the mark. In a way, these rumours could be considered half correct. The Phantoms are made up of expert guardsmen, veterans of many battles, who have shown a particular skill at subterfuge and hidden warfare. Should they gain the interest of Phantoms, one of their recruiters may appear to them in the dead of night and grant them an offer to serve the God-Emperor and Huria, above and beyond what they have done so far. They are given a mission to truly prove their skills. These missions are given in secret, and typically consist of hunting down a dangerous target, all the while one of the Phantoms tracks the hunter who they must avoid. Should they succeed, they will be marked, and in an upcoming battle, a false death is set up for them. The only things that are ever recovered are their re-breathers and blades, which are ensured to leave for the great catacombs of Huria for an honoured burial.

Battle report

The Storm Brigade[]

These men see the thick of the action, always at the place where the fighting is the most brutal. Heavily armored and trained, they can crush any that stand in their way. Armed primarily with Ryza Pattern Hot-shot Volley Guns they are perfect for taking down a large number of hostiles or taking particularly stubborn fortresses. Some are equipped with shields instead, so they can provide mobile cover for their brothers in arms. They are cladded in carapace armour and their helmets are equipped with a photo-visor and micro-bead, alongside with the helmet's built in rebreathers.

The Inferno Division, "Hell Walkers"[]

To be a Hell Walker, you must be heroically brave or fanatical bordering on insanity. The Hell Walkers were created in response to the Tyranid invasion of Huria, specialising, as the name would suggest in incendiary weapons. They are equipped with heat resistant armor, flamers that have a fuel tank on the back of the shoulders, and inferno grenades with vengeance pattern las-pistols as a secondary weapon they will cleanse the enemy in glorious flames. During the defense of Huria, they were responsible for burning everything that was in the way of the Tyranids, denying them any biomass. Other missions were to burn down bio-structures and take down as many Tyranid organisms they could. Most of these missions were suicidal, no hope to return. For this reason the Hell Walkers only recruited the bravest or the most fanatical, or simply those that were insane enough. For the almost certain end of a hell walker, the suits have a built in self destruct feature that, when activated, would detonate the Promethium tank and engulf the entire area in flames. Even in death the Hell Walkers will take the enemies with them.

Notable Members[]

Colonel Armin Metrac - The current standing leader of the 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force. An ambitious commander to say the least, determined to live up to the legacy of the legendary Radec Voltz, "The Hound of Huria". By the aggressive and relentless tactics of Armin Metrac have the Hurians achieved several key victories in their second Wars of Expansion. Some say the blood of saint Arpad runs in his veins, but the colonel has yet to comment on this matter.

Relations[]

The regiment, and admittedly, the planet of Huria itself is rather isolationsist, due to the fact their planet and the Hurian sub-sector being located on the edge of known Imperial space. But yet, within their home sector, the Karpat sector, they are advocated of becoming the capital of the entire sector itself, rallying behind them a number of other planets due to their proud services to the Imperium and the sector.

Allies[]

  • The Ordo (Classified) - It is rumoured that a certain Ordo of the Inquisition has some relations with 1st the Expeditionary Force after they've assisted them on several occasions, using them as temporary shock troops in assignments where the enemies of the Inquisition had to be crushed with brutal efficiency.
  • The Scarlet Watch (The Scarleti Praetorii)
"It is not the medal itself that brings glory and respect, not its shine nor its golden glaze, but the merit by which you earn it."
—Master of the Watch Lucius Alexander, Scarleti Praetorii (Scarlet Watch)

The 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force has always considered the fabled Scarlet Watch as brothers, joining their forces together during the crusade of warrior saint Karpat, who they both venerate as their patron saint. The Scarlet Watch respects the 1st Hurian Expeditionary Force more than any other regiment raised from Huria, for they were the first unit formed on the planet, and time and time again they had proved their skill in battle. As a sign of that respect, a pair of Scarlet Watchmen are always dispatched to act as bodyguards to the current commander of the 1st Expeditionary Force.

The Scarlet Watch act as the honour guards of Huria and are primarily set upon the world where the final resting place of the sector's most important saint resides. Here they maintain eternal vigilance over the tomb alongside with a minor order of Sisters who act as neutral protectors. Due to Huria having a rivalry with another world which also raises honour guards that aim to protect the tomb, these two often clash and always compete with each other to have the glory of guarding the tomb for another year, and so, they constantly train and play war games against each other while maintaining watch over the planet. This competition is so important that the few times they are away from this task they always do their best to horde more glory for themselves than their rival. Every year, on the day the saint fell, they hold the greatest game they believe they have, when from all across the sector various prisoners, criminals and desperate mercenaries are collected and prepared to be deployed with the simple objective of holding out against the honour guard units or attacking their positions as a way to honour the saint's last stand against the traitor forces that attacked and killed him on the planet, live munitions being heavily used. These criminals are not given top of the line equipment of course, rather they are given the stub guns and weak items the forge world finds too low quality to properly deploy, so they "donate" some quantity of that every year to enhance their influence. And to be sure that no one desecrates the tomb while the honorary battle goes on, the Sisters of Battle concentrate on the tomb complex fully, prepared to kill any that would dare approach the holy tomb with foul intentions.

Some within the Hurian honour guard believe that the criminals are actually given a chance to redeem themselves this way by bringing glory to the Emperor and His holy saint's name. Scarlet Watch members are picked from only the most promising of veterans who have already earned glory and proven themselves in battle and showed their zeal. But even those that are selected as potential candidates are put through a rigorous campaign of trials which can last for entire years on their own as they are taken through the deadliest worlds the saint has set a foot on, where they must continuously prove themselves to be worthy. Those that manage to get through this process become a member of the Watch, and it is tradition to take war trophies from only the most worthy of foes they slay, ranging from a piece of clothing they took off of the fallen enemy to the skinned hide of an alien, just as the saint had a tendency to take trophies from the adversaries he considered worthy enough.

The reason for the rivalry lies with the fact the saint was born on the hive world of Sinegnard as most scribes claim, but evidence suggests he had at least partially Hurian blood running through his veins. The two planets further dislike each other because they are competing for the title of the capital planet for the sector, which has yet another rival who recently joined in, the mysterious and highly isolationist forge world of Gorgon, known for its mastery of biological and chemical warfare.

Enemies[]

The warriors of Huria loathe the enemies of man, and of those, there is no short supply. Yet, there are certain foes Hurians loathe above all others, and those enemies cannot expect even a hint of mercy.

No enemy is more vile than the Nemesis, in the eyes of the Hurians. Ever since the Great Exile had their hatred been growing, and the thirst for vengeance was not satisfied with just taking back their home from the Nemesis. The Hurians host entire extermination campaigns to this day, hounding and burning the Genestealer menace wherever they can root them out, and in that, they have become unrivalled experts in. Rumors still persist that Hurians who are infected with the Genestealer's Kiss will outright commit suicide on the spot with grenades, or with their own blade, if needed be, all to spite the enemy they loathe so deeply.

Notable Quotes[]

"Fury is our song, vengeance is our blades, in the name of Huria, unleash our wrath!"
—Common war cry within the Hurian Expeditionary Forces.

"A decade ago, I came to you all with a simple request, time, that most valuable resource, and despite of the great dangers that sought to engulf us all, you gave me that time. You, my brothers and sisters in arms, were the ones that brought this day we have long waited for. Within that time, we have united, gathered our strength once more with a singular purpose, to take back what is rightfully ours. The sacrifices we have made will not be in vain, for today, we look upon the stars again, no longer divided, our hearts and weapons forged and ready for the conquest ahead of us. Gaze upon those distant spectres, they call our names, they beg for us, their rightful rulers to bring them back into the fold. For years they have asked for us to return, their riches ravaged and stolen by the vile parasites that have taken them from us through treachery. But today, we will answer them. We will reach our hands out and cleanse the stars of the xeno and heretic, we shall cut the parasites down to the last, if they flee, we will march to the end of the very galaxy to hunt them down! We will give them no quarter, no mercy, for they have granted none to us! And on top of their corpses, our blood stained banners will mark the beginning of a new era! An era of glory that will rival that of the past! LET THEIR CURSED CITIES CRUMBLE UNDER OUR RELENTLESS MARCH! MAKE THEIR SOULS TREMBLE AT THE ROAR OF OUR WAR CRY! NO RESPITE! FOR HURIA, AND THE IMPERIUM OF MAN! AVE IMPERATOR, THE STARS ARE OUR BIRTHRIGHT!"
—Warrior-saint Arpad's speech at the beginning of his Reclamation crusade.

"It is not the medal itself that brings glory and respect, not it's shine nor it's golden glaze, but the merit by which you earn it."
—Master of the Watch Lucius Alexander, Scarletii Praetori (Scarlet Watch).

"Our way to redemption is fueled by the blood of the enemies of the Imperium, or our own blood, if need be."
—Unknown Hurian guardsman.
